This man is a genius.......
Extremely frustrating class. Hard to follow, hard to understand!
Terrible - doesn't help you - wants you to figure it out-
Nice man

This guy sucks! He thinks everyone in class is a retard.
Doesnt help anyone pass, hates to answer questions and enjoys making you feel stupid. The assignments are way too hard and aren't explained to you at all in the lecture. It seems like he wants you to fail.
Bring your tape recorder....it will take you a few times to figure out what he is saying.
Hard to understand... I think he just likes to hear himself speak... anyway expect to work long and hard on the homework and the tests are short and hard... i'm not sure how in the hell he grades i think he just puts down a number...
Picture Elmer Fudd with a german accent teaching economics. Arrogant, yet doesn't keep up with news...didn't know what Enron was. Tests are graded with a number and NO EXPLAINATION! People with the same response get different grades! Twilight Zone...AVOID

he is the worst professor I have ever had. DO NOT TAKE THE CLASS!
Brilliant professor, yet won't take subject matter over your head
I worked my tail off in this class and yet I ended up with a 1.7. I am a B student, and have never received this low of a grade in college. His goal is to fail students.
this guy sucked. I had a prior copy of the test, and still managed to get an 81%?!?! doesn't explain things clearly. more effort then it's worth
I do not recommend this professor. No explanations on tests or homework. Does not speak clear English. His exams are quite lengthy. He also seems to abuse his power.
DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!! I got screwed big time! I had to take him but I was able to withdraw in time. This course is not as hard as he makes it to be. Never got below a 3.0. I studied for the exam and failed in miserably
I would not recommend taking Izraeli for econ 303. He is a very nice man, but the class is extremely hard and is not taught from the book. The homework takes hours upon hours and is not from the book. He says it should be in the notes, but it is not.
This is blasphemy, can he please hand-out multiple choice exams. He treats this like it's G-14 classified type of class, if ur AP material get into it, but if not part of ur major standings, get the hell out.
He's Crazy.
Doesn't explain anything. The homework is impossible, its not in the book and he doesn't explain it. Awful, awful prof.
The worst professor I have ever had at OU. Couldn't understand him and none of the lectures related to the tests at all. Would never recommend him for anything!
SUCKS
The worst Prof. I have ever had at OU. I spent hours working on homework to have different material on the exam. He does not explain solutions clearly. Acts as if everyone should know as much as he does from the first day of class. Would not take him!
VERY HARD CLASS! The hardest I've ever had at OU! The homework assignments are extremely tough but he does give partial credit out pretty freely. Argue your answers with him and you will earn extra points.
Horrible Professor. Based ECN 201 on Calculus. Thinks he is smarter than the book. Speaks very quietly & clears his throat alot. Homework problems take hours to do, and the test make no sense at all. Hardest ECN Prof. DO NOT TAKE HIM!!!
The guy switches his homework and exams each semester. So find someone that had the class before and get copies of their quizes and homework. You will get a 4.0 easy
One of the worst profs I ever had. Very unhelpful, gave homework on material we haven't looked at and refused to help at all. A very harsh grader. Gave essay exams in an Economics class, is he serious? Avoid at all cost. Makes the class impossibl
He is boring as hell! Do not recommend. He is a nice man, but an awful teacher.
This professor is a cute old man....he spoke very quietly but was always willng to help during office hours. I got a 3.6 but went to a tutor and work with my group a lot! Get old tests and it makes the material a lot easier to study!!
Worst professor I have ever had. So unclear and his tests are horrible. 3 essay questions, try and get old tests and a tutor. Not very willing to help students out. Math doesn't mean anything, concentrate on concepts from lecture for tests. Again, GET A TUTOR!!!!!!!!!
good lord! what a boring class first off, and what a boring professor. do NOT take this guy, especially if annoying tics bother you, because if you hear him say "EH" one to many times you might die! i will say that he has a lot of easy points to earn, and has a massive curve but dont expect to learn
This professor does not help very much in his attemps to explain things. I often get lost trying to follow, and feel that asking questions would only be a complete waste of time. He may be a nice guy, and I don't know whether he is, but that doesn't make him a good teacher.
Terrible teacher. gives a lot of free credit but does not teach anything and will not answer questions as well as you would like him too. no examples of problems but expects you to know how to do them
Complete train wreck of a course. Boring lectures for an already boring class. Terrible book. Every question you ask raises 3 more to be answered. AVOID!
The homework is aweful, takes forever and teaches you how do it after grading it. The tests are hard but gives you points for nothing, its hard to get full credit but hard to not get some credit. The class itself is boring. You can go at most half the class before you fall asleep. He is also hard to understand when he talks. Don't take his his class
I got a 4.0 in micro. The first test in this class I got 52%. If I hadn't studied I could except this. Worst teacher! Very unclear on what will be on tests and homework. No direction for class project. My grade point is or was 3.7. Avoid at all cost!

Bad, Bad, Bad. If you take this guy you will hate school for the whole semester. He will make your life hell. Two girls in the class went to him for help and he locked the door to his office and wouldn't answer them. Class is so had. Avoid, Avoid, Avoid. Stay away. Save the money.

Worst teacher in the history of mankind! You will not understand one word of what he is doing in class, what is on the homework, or what will be on the tests. If you have one pray for partial credit and you may pass!
I would rather have went outside on a daily basis and had someone kicked the crap out of me and steal my lunch everyday then have this professor. He is unwilling to help you understand the maeterial. I learned absolutely nothing in this class. I threw my money away to learn nothing. I should have given it to charity.

Anyone who has been around OU knows enough to stay away from Oded. Quote from Mr. Izraeli (In a Henry Kissinger voice), "You do not know economics like i know economics, this is my economics, you can only hope to know a fraction of what I know." That says enough about him.
WORST PROFESSOR AT OU. Lectures are boring and repetitive. Homework is hard, no guidlines are given as to whats expected from you. Grading is very unfair I think he just writes random numbers on the page and thats your grade. Just as you think you understand the material he tests you on stuff that has never been coverd. NO CURVE im screwed!!!
This class is pretty challenging. Professor is not clear about what is expected from you. He gives no examples besides the examples done during lecture. The only way you can get help is to go visit during office hours with specific questions. He does not answer questions at all, if he does he does not explain it.
boring and cant understand him
He is one of the most boring professors at Oakland. I could hardly understand him. He spoke in a monotone voice which made the 3 hour class more boring. It was bad enougth for me resulting in me withdrawinf from the class only after meeting for only two sessions.
Before I took his class I understood Economics. Now... I am just lost and glad I made it through his class passing. He is not clear and does not follow the book or use any examples besides ones he made up that you can not reference. It was boring and all talk that wasnt even clear. He was very hard to understand.
He is the worst professor at Oakland. He DOES NOT help you learn the material. I think he prides himself on making him look smart and the student look dumb. Do not take this professor if you want to stay sane.
This prof is so easy...dont listen to anyone. No attendence taken, homework is straight from the notes and tests are straight from the homework. Easiest class I have taken at OU - GREAT TEACHER!
extremely hard to understand what he was saying..also the required text book was not used one time in class, instead he taught from a different book
Oded is a very hard teacher, but if you want to excell in Economics, and its something that you love, I would recommened him for the challenge. His grade scale is curved, and if you have questions he will answer them. If you are taking the class just for a credit, I would rethink.
Honestly, he is a VERY dry professor. I did fall asleep a few times in class, but as long as you take notes, you will be fine. His exams are all essay so make sure you know the concepts, but the problems are EXACTLY like the ones you do in class. He does have a suspicious grunt/cough that comes out every five minutes though. . .
I do not like him at all. He doesn't use the text he just lectures. his lectures are not very good or crystal clear. He does have an accent which make it more difficult. Grading scale i feel he does by what mood he is in which isn't fair. Take another professor if you can
Worst professor at ou
This professor was difficult, but fair. As long as you read the book and understand the concepts, you will do okay. He is willing to help so send him an email.
Calculus is not a prerequisite for intro to Microeconomics. Worst professor I've ever Had. period. I've never had a problem in math until this man.
Prof. Izraeli was very good... tests were very much like hwk questions and lecture notes. DO YOUR HWK! He does not require you to read the book, but does cover the material in the chapters he has listed in the syllabus so READ in adv. even if you are not FORCED. He mentions calculus but it is NOT nec. to use just a nice FYI if you've had calc.
Good Instructor, takes time to answer questions each class period. He gives handouts that are similar to the test. Make sure to TYPE any hand in assignments though. He says this but it is not on the syllabus. I had little interest in economics before taking this class but really liked it. He has a nice curve (about 10%) so that helps.
This professor thinks that his students should know everything he does. Horrible!!
Does not engage you. Little eye contact, regurgitates lectures from previous years. Does not use book. Midterm, entire class got below 40%. You must work in teams, group project. Does not help you. He must retire, he can't teach. Only uses lecture as his teaching method, no online notes, no overhead examples. AVOID!
This professor is HORRIBLE. He writes hardly anything down, has a heavy accent, and is the most boring professor ever. All of his students are going to fail. I cant believe more people havent posted about him. Worst professor EVER!!!
I've never done a rating before, but this prof. is not engaging at all, does nothing to prepare you for applying econ to mangr. decisions, does not use the book at all (won't answer ? regarding book), doesn't know where he is IN the book, is very little help during office hours, and overall not interested in teaching or his students.
Oded is a very nice person. But his class is also very hard. It was a little difficult to follow him because he jumped around the book a lot. But overall he is very smart and does want his students to do well. I spent several hours a day on this class and I will probably only get a 3.0. So make sure you have the time for this class.
An abomination. He comes to class, reads off his lecture, no board, no overhead or visual aids, book not used. No eye contact or attempt to know you. Irritable with questions and difficult to talk to. He makes no effort to vary his teaching methods to help different learners. Shame on OU for keeping this old cranky man around, waste of $1000.
I had my doubts about taking the capstone with him, but he turned out to be a great professor. Extermely helpful if you have questions. Kind of hard to understand sometimes, but he talks slow which helps, but also makes it hard to pay attention. He is not an easy professor but you learn a lot.
This professor is the worst I have ever had. Old, extremely lazy, could care less, is how I would describe him. With that being said should do students a favor and retire. I took very diligent notes which had no relation to the exams or homework. When asked class average on exams, he would not answer, but I found out and it was near 40%, no curve!

Terrible professor. Hard to understand and grades assignments by what he thinks you should have put even if you have the right answer. Doesnt explain material well.
He is the WORST teacher in the World. He grades horribly even if you have the right answers. It seems like he has a problem on giving you more than 60% even if you really deserve it. DO NOT TAKE THIS TEACHER. He is a nightmare. He should not be allowed to teach if he hates us all and doesn?t give us the grade we deserve. No words can describe him.
Class was a nightmare. He is very hard to understand and when he explains, he isn't very clear. He rarely writes on the board. Each assignment took 5 hours to complete and that's with a group. Only good thing is his exams are based off the homework and he gives you the answers to the homework after you hand it in (just to show he's smarter than us)
do not take!!! izraeli makes up his rules as he goes. grades whatever he wants to give you. loves to give 60% so he can fail ya. On probation for failing too many students.
Came out with a 3.7 Take EXTREME caution when taking this class. You don't need to read the book, everything on tests is from lectures. That being said, missing a single class will put you so far behind it's not even funny. Take dilligent notes. Spend the time to do the homework (5 hours 3 times per semester) and the tests are sort of similar.
This Professor Sucks!!! He is the worst Professor I have ever had at OU. I am working on my second degree and I cant believe that Oakland has a Professor like him teaching. Hard to understand, doesnt care to help students when they dont understand. Stay away from this Professor at all cost!!!
Easily the worst prof at OU. Grades horribly, no schedule on the syllabus (which is a joke)..you work in groups, but he doesn't form them so you have to find people. Boring, dull, mundane, hard to understand. Expects you to learn it all on your own. HW has vague questions and exams are a complete joke..don't ever take this guy. EVER.
Extremely difficult class, but if you like economics, I do recommend taking his class because you will learn a lot. Very tough grader, but this is why you learn a lot; he forces his students to know the material inside and out. Very helpful and friendly if you go to office hours. It takes a lot of effort, but it's possible to get an A in his class.

It takes some effort, but if you keep up with reading, go to class, and study A LOT you can get an A.
Not the worst professor i've ever had, but pretty close. He has an accent. He teaches out of an older book and doesn't tell you about it. The grading scale is curved up so getting at 75% in the class would be a 3.0 which is good cause you'll need it! Only 4 homeworks but he grades them really hard. 2 midterms and 1 final. Plan on using a tutor!
Avoid this professor at all costs if you can. Impossible grader, never used the book.. Doesn't use real-world examples to help understand, so the homework looks like a different language. All HW is group-based, which actually made it harder. GO to class, and STUDY VERY HARD
Worst professor I've had in college and high school. He is unwilling to help students understand and refuses to provide real world, numerical examples, which is what the tests and hw is on. 4 homeworks and project done in mandatory groups and 3 tests. Does not provide feedback on hw and tests. If you struggle with economics, DO NOT take him.
DON'T EVER TAKE HIM, horrible and not clear! He gave equations much more confusing than what is in the book, using Greek symbols for no reason. Doesn't provide examples of anything he teaches, so good luck. Grades poorly and doesn't tell you what you got wrong. Will give you a bad grade even though someone did the same thing and got more points.
In the class right now, complete nightmare
Be VERY cautious when taking a class with him. Attendance is optional but skipping one class will put you far behind. He is not the easiest professor to understand and grades very harshly. It is possible to do well, but requires A LOT of effort. I ended with a 3.6 but spent 20 hours every week outside of class.
Smart guy and knows Economics well. No interest in teaching it though. He's retired now. One day he'll read all of these reviews and probably just shrug.
