the class is super easy, his tests are all open book, you cannot fail, even if you just come to class for the midterms, you will still have a B, he's hard to understang, but you dont need to take anynotes or anything

This teacher is GREAT! He takes the time to really explain the concepts that he is teaching. Don't expect a free ride though. He is EXTREMELY helpful and will take the time to listen to any and ALL questions. I would highly recommend him to anyone thinking about taking his class! His accent is great and not hard to understand at all.

Tach was the most helpful and most available online instructor I have dealt with yet. That's said after having taken 10 online classes through De Anza or Foothill. The class was difficult, but well worth the effort, especially if you actually plan on starting a business.

This is an online course, so just follow the guidelines from the professor and you will be fine. This is a helpful professor, especially when I had troubles with the online exams. You will love the book and this class.

Business plan is a hard course and requires a lot of work on your own. The book is very interesting and the teacher is helpful. He replied all the questions through emails promptly. If you can work by yourself and follow the instructions, you can get an easy A!

Awesome teacher, he spends some time on each student's work and gives some good feedback. The assignments are low-stress, and, as expected, you need to read some to do them. One gripe is when I got a point off one of the assignments for not hyphenating a compound... I won't ever forget that.

Overall pretty easy class, the business plan does take a good amount of time to make but that is the only major assignment and what the majority of the course is focused on.

Make sure not to procrastinate or it's a death sentence. While all of the assignments (the business plan) in class are due at the end, the actual business plan totals around at least 25 pages. Don't be discouraged though as this teacher is pretty chill when it comes to grading. Every one of my short answer test questions were given full credit.

Very helpful class! I was able to find a job shortly after - the most beneficial lesson of this course is the lesson on communication in the job search. I have taken two classes from Oduro Takyi (Tach), and really enjoyed both of them. The most recent course I completed was an online course. The course requirements were clear and spelled out in advance. The Business Plan was part reading, part hands-on doing, and you learn a lot. A very useful class if you are starting your own company, etc.

I completed Business 65, Leadership, a few years ago. I learned a lot, and the information has been useful in my career. Attendance and participation were important in this class, but don't worry, the time in the classroom flies by quickly. I would definitely take another class from this teacher. Takyi's business plan course is essential, if you want to learn how to start a small business. I found it to be very practical. I used the lesson I learned to write a business plan for my family's business. The plan I wrote, helped with getting loans for our shop and was effective in communicating our mission statement with our employees.

This was a great communication class where you get to learn the key essentials to business communication. The professor is very helpful, gives great comments, and is a very fair in grading. You definitely need to read very carefully to benefit from this class. There are weekly assignments that need to be done and no finals. I enjoyed the class.

Compared to other online classes I have taken, Takyi's classes are really self directed, no hand holding. Simply read materials and then apply to closely related project to be submitted at the end of the week. The highlight of the class is feedback for which you get what you put in so I would recommend put as much effort as possible in each.

Took his BUS87 online class--introduction to selling in the corporate world. This guy is extremely helpful, and easy going. He sent me feedback on all my assignments, and also sent me the correct answers on each quiz and exam. Take this class in the summer y'all. All hw, no midterms/exams. Hw is doable, it's tedious. If you turn in all hw and participate in forums you should get an easy A. I didn't turn stuff in bc i was lazy. If you email him about late assignments he's nice about it. I turned in my final 1 minute & emailed him & he still graded it.

Easy weekly chapter assignments, moderate exams (they're up to 3 hours long and 83 questions, mostly multiple choice) from the reading, which is fine if you read the free downloadable textbook. For the exam short answers, he may give you partial credit if you listed the wrong things. He's super responsive to inbox messages.

I took The Business Plan online with Oduro this last quarter and enjoyed what I learned. The amount of effort you put into his class is the amount of benefit you will receive. Oduro has some great information about Business planning and good feedback, be prepared to learn with him but also prepared to work for it, this is not an easy A.

The required book is written for entrepreneurs interested in starting a business and want to write a business plan to form their resources, aims, and feasibility. I recommend taking some introductory business courses for preparation. Then take this one and write an optional business plan.

I have taken the Lean Startup and used that to build an outline of what I needed for my company, but I knew that I needed to fill out the analysis. Professor Takyi's class was exactly what I needed.

This professor is great. He is always readily available when you need help and he provides great examples that help make the assignment easy to understand. There aren't tests, you basically just spend the quarter working on your feasibility analysis which is so helpful if you're looking to start a business. Tach is a gem. Please take his class.

Took him during the summer. Required to purchase the online textbook for your assignment, discussions, and quizzes. 1 assignment, discussions, and quiz every week. His lectures aren't that helpful, just a guide. His quizzes are very easy if you study since it covers 3-4 chapters. Your final is just a term project.

Biweekly discussion posts (150 word post and 2 replies), biweekly assignments (based on Textbook), and 4 quizzes (covers 3-4 chapters each). Final exam was a sales presentation (he grades you based on your PowerPoint). You can't just "bluff" on your assignments or discussion posts. He actually read each one and will grade you based off ur content.

the professor is really nice, answers emails fast. make sure to pay attention to the textbook for the quizzes as they might be tricky. the weekly posts/assignments are really easy, no grading criteria so you do as you think is necessary. one midterm based on the textbook, 2 final projects, no final exam overall, an easy class

Took it asynchronously, so I didn't really get to know the professor. However, he was my saving grace during finals. I didn't realize that the final deadline was on a different day than the regular deadline for assignments since it was my first ever De Anza class. He allowed me to submit the final late and I passed the class with a B+.

I enjoyed the class and all the assignments. The book is easy and quick to read and you can easily find all the information in it in order to succeed in all the assignments. The professor is also very available and comprehensive. He also rewards you if you show commitment. My actual grade was 94,88 but he still gave me A+. Strongly recommended.
