Dr. Rodriguez is nice, but has a habit of talking down to her students.
Energetic, approachable, and caring. Knew everyones name in my lecture hall! Kinda lenient Be polite and participate she tells you exactly what to study for the exams. She offers big extra credit assignments up to 10 pts to final grade! she's awesome
helpful, funny, great professor, if your interested in psych, definaltey talk to her!!!!
So nice, and so helpful - Not strict on attendance at all. Follows the syllabus, and offers a lot of extra credit. I'd take her again.
Had her in a huge lecture hall. great teacher. Easy note taking. Follows sylabis. doesn't care about attendance. She's interested in everyone to a degree. Easy class, xtra credit gr8.
Has the ability to be friendly, but generally very cocky & sarcastic. Not the most difficult teacher, but has a habit of making you feel stupid w/ her comments in front of a lecture hall. i'd never take a class w/ her again!!!
She's very easy to talk too. Very hot. If I was 5 years older and she wasn't married. DAMN, When we hangin' out!!! Other than that I had a hard time paying attention because those legs go on for days.
Dr. Rodriguez is the most wonderful teacher i have ever had at MSU. She is helpful and kind, easy to talk to and willing to make time for her students. She has a great sense of style! She kept me laughing the whole course with her sarcasm and wit!
She's great, knowledgable and helpful. She's also very funny.
AMAZING TEACHER! OMG, THIS IS THE BEST FRIGGIN TEACHER FRIGGIN EVER!!!!! OMG OMG OMG! SHES HOT!!!! SWEET JESUS, THE. BEST. TEACHER. EVER. DOESN'T MATTER IF YOUR BLACK, WHITE, ASIAN, LATINA, OR FROM FREAKING MARS, SHE IS THERE FOR YOU... A TRUE TEACHER!!!
Took Dr. R last semester and after talking to my friend who took it w someone else this semester we compared notes and I wanted to write that Dr.R is really wonderful, she really teaches Psych, she has it all talent, beauty and patience! Take PSYC 101 w
She is a great professor who really understands the mind of college students. She's funny and always helpful
the best teacher i have taken so far. she is the best. she will embarass you if u get a bad grade or come in late for class, and please dont fall asleep or talk in her class. (she will call u out.) if u study u will get and excellent grade.

i hated her class! she made me feel incredibley stupid.....always comments on test grades no matter how good/bad they are (in front of the entire class). Thinks she's hot s**t. wouldn't take another class w/ her.
She taught National Issues: "Deconstructing the Sopranos" w/ her pal Prof.Connolly. They are an awesome team; very funny too. Dr.Rodriguez is a great professor; smart, funny, and cool. I definitely recommed taking her class.
She's a good professor but she gives a lot of notes and doesn't give you any time to copy them, she goes too fast, but overall she's cool and funny.
Dr. R is great! clear, interested in you as a person, funny, direct, a true teacher. If you don't get something she'll help you after class and talk with you w/out making you feel dumb.
Dr. Rodriguez is great. She works hard and presents well. She is always interested in her students and alwayus a mentor. I will take her again for whatever she teaches.
Great Professor, everything from overheads are on exams & Conolly is grat to0. They are funny, down to earth & know their stuff. Good class too esp if u like the sopranos. She's a mentor as well & never minds helping u. Highly recommend!
Dr. R is truly great! She got me into Psyc again! I had wanted Psyc but I got turned off when I took a Psyc course with another prof(woman into lab work) but after this class, I'm returing to Psyc!!Dr. R's knowledge, availability, and interest rekindeled my interest. A good role model for women!
Knows her material, but can be very intimidating. Made me feel like i wasn't worthy of being in her class and stupid because i didn't do well on the first test. Categorized me as a silly freshman in front of the entire class because i didn't ace the test. HORRIBLE!
This prof. is the bomb! She made this required class (which I hear can be boring) very interesing. She really knows her material. Tests are not a problem since she teaches the material very well. Definitely take another course with her!
Dr. Rodriguez is the best! she's the best prof. i've had at MSU yet... she's willing to help u out with whatever she can, she knows her stuff.. and is very clear... she's fun so her class is interesting... i wish more professors were like her... GO DR. RODRIGUEZ!!!
I'm taking this class with Rodriguez and her buddy Connolly. They are great!!! Rodriguez is a shrink and Connolly a "legal eagle" they are the BOMB. Because of Rodriguez I plan to go into Psychology. I've met with her three times after class and she has become my mentor. No one else has given me that kind of time at MSU. Take this lady she's grea
She is awesome! Keeps it interesting and shows true concern for you as a person! Def take her!
I have never showed up for her class on time. I got a B on the midterm and a B on the final. I did ok on the two papers and behold, my WESS says 4.0 next to Ofelia's name. A charismatic, awesome professor.
She knows her stuff, is helpful and interesting. I did pooly on my 1st test and she met ith me and explained my mistakes to me
tries to be your friend, but can be ****y- stay away
I think she is great. Helpful, funny, knows her stuff, down to earth and will help you if you really don't get something. She is real!
Very caring and is clear. Her class is fun and she gives many examples from her experiences with patients. She provides a lot of opportunities to raise your grade IF you are willing to work hard. Def take her!
Dr.R has a really cool and fun personality and this makes the class fun... lots of films and reaction papers (easy)... exams aren't that hard, she'll tell you they are, but they are not, they are just tricky but if you really read the 2 chapters you have to read you'll be fine. kinda painful since the book is horrible.written by feminists I believe
This was one of the best calsses I have ever taken at MSU. I would take Dr. Rodriguez for any class. It's a reasonable about of work, you have to study to do well though. Everything you're tested on you have to read from the book which she doest cover in class.
Great professor! She's funny, nice and very helpful if you approach her. She always has extra credit but it depends on the class. TESTS ARE HARD! All from the book, lots of studies and statistics. Study hard and you'll be fine
Dr. Rodriguez is an awesome professor. Her class is fun to be in but her tests are difficult. She definitely knows her stuff and she also gives extra credit assignments. I would recommend taking her class. :)
She is great! this professor is very helpful. As a result of her teaching I will be majoring in Psychology and have asked for her to be my advisor. Interesting examples about her pts and her research. I liked her examples of folks she has treated in the hospitals. She is difficult bc she wants you to learn. Take her!
The class was super fun and interesting! .. my only negative: You can read the chapter 5 times, and she'll ask "what was the researchers name?" but there's like 50 researchers mentioned in one chapter (hence it's a psych book) instead of asking ?'s that have do with your understanding of the material. but take her anyway.. its not too bad
Take this professor. She is smart, makes the class fun, the subject is v interesting and she is fair. She knows her stuff! She cares.
brilliant and charasmatic woman.......but not the best proffessor....I studied for every test and never got higher than an 86...she makes it seem like your stupid by being in awe b/c she gives the "easiest questions"....it was quite annoying to hear that over and over again....but not too bad...got a good grade..gives extra credit thankfully
She's energetic and funny but her tests are not easy. I like it when a professor can be cut and dry, she's not one of those professors. If youre a shy kid in class, youre screwed aka useless unless you have very expensive designer bags which most guys (like myself) do not.
Excellent prof. take her and her buddy the attorney. I had her section, she is clear, enthusiastic, funny, smart and works you hard but in a good way. I plan to go into Psyc because of her. Also is good at advising/
If you want to learn all about her personal life this is the professor to take! We learned absolutely nothing in her class.. and I agree with the other rater.. she makes you feel stupid if you dont answer a question correctly. If you want to WASTE your money take this professor..
Good professor. Tough in that she wants you to learn. She is very funny and down to earth. Gives great real examples to make the theories come alive; good advise about career goals and is interested in her students. Take her for any subject.
I had her for 2 classes this semester and she is great in both. She is a feminist and psychologist and she brings examples to class from real world issues. Tests are fair (but you got to study),the presentation is creative and you do it in a group but it's fine. She gives extra credit if you attend campus events about Psyc or Women Issues. Take her
I had her for a mixed class for The Gned Soprano class with Norma Connolly, unfortunately I was in Norma's section, she is a sweet lady COMPLETE OPPOSITE OF NORMA CONNOLLY, Norma is sooo Rude, But this professor is sweet and very helpful.
Very nice, funny woman.. offers many extra credit opportunities.. However, it doesn't help if you do not know where u stand the entire semester. She curves but only 1st exam was given back &never let us know our final grades on papers or any of the tests. She always said look @the syllabus but wks into class, we were off schedule.. Very unclear.
I am taking her now. She is very helpful and if the only reason the syllabus may be changed is if she feels we haven't "mastered" something. She makes that clear. Her stuff is on Bb so is easy to follow. She gots tons of experience and is funny and smart as all get out. Take her.
Doesn't teach to all learning styles; Very contradictory-One breath, making jokes about people, next she tries to get all tough on someone for doing something wrong. Isn't clear on assignments, keeps telling to refer to syllabus, which she changed MULTIPLE times. Clearly has favorites and if she doesn't like you for ANY reason you're screwed.
has no social etiquette. before lecturing the class on manners, she should take her own advice. she's the one who sat there all class period and text messaged while people presented and even when she lectured. went WAY too fast with her powerpoints. never slowed down. never available outside of class to Talk to. the class was a joke, nexttt
Who the hell wrote all these comments!! This is ridiculous!! Prof Rodriguez was a doll! she's cocky? has no social ettique? R you serious!!! She was the best yes she changed the syllabus but only bEcause we didnt go over certain things, If your going to say something about her be honest..Sheesh! I loved you, prof! You was the best!
Pros: interesting to listen to, entertaining Cons: rude to students, rarely answers questions or answers questions rudely/incompletely, does not seem to care for her students, rushed through chapters, relied on TA's to do everything-> despite her cons...just ignore and do the easy work and get it over with at least you wont fall asleep in class :)
boring. rude. thinks she's better than everyone. texted during presentations. answered phone calls. LOVES talking about herself. belittled her TA who did EVERYTHING for her. lazy as hell. her syllabus was incomprehensible. dressed for class like she was going to a Vogue photoshoot. she's ridiculous. stay far away from her.
Got absolutely nothing out of her class. She only 'taught' six chapters in the whole semester. I use 'taught' very loosely, as rushing through chapters and explaining nothing doesn't constitute as teaching. Made her TA do everything. Seemed like the TA was the teacher, and not her. Sardonic & mean. If she hates you, she'll show it! Don't take!
I had this professor last semester and she is wonderful. Those folks obviously did not do well in her class. She is kind, smart and VERY HELPFUL. She used her phone BEFORE the start of class NEVER during class. Trust me you will learn and she is fair.
Take this professor. She is really wonderful and helpful. She lectures, gives Power Points, and a VERY clear review before the exams. If you don't do well it is because you did not study or come to class. She tells you if there are going to be any changes whatsoever on the syllabus. She is attractive and it sounds some people are jealous :(
I agree...thoose comments below are from people who probably didn't do well in her class. Yes, she's fashionable...what's the issue with this again?? Anyway, she is very clear about her expectations. She's an amazing person & an extremely great advisor!
Class is taught by her and prof Connoley. They take turns showing up. So far prof Rodriguez missed 5 classes!
Go to every class. Make a good impression by going to her office hours. Great advisor. Buy the book and read thoroughly to do well on 3 exams. LOTS of extra credit and she takes your ideas too. A few films in class. 1 group presentation that's easy. Follow guidelines, though to a T. Didn't really learn much in class. Easy A if you're looking for it
What is read in the books and the material on tests have nothing to do with one another. It is clear that she does not care about her students. Most students were afraid to answer because of her rude demeanor. Definitely has favorites few... and what's worse is almost everyone fails her tests. This class is a gamble not worth the money paid.
Great professor. Tests are hard but offers extra credit all the time. Class very interesting and time flies by. Only class I loved going to!
This class is SUPER interesting. Prof Rodriguez makes the topic come alive and this is an evening class that I take after working a full day. She is fair in her expectations, and takes your opinions seriously. She is attractive, fashionable and fun. She knows her topic beyond well and I feel better prepared for grad school in the fall :)
I'm a guy in this class and felt really comfortable. She is clear and fair. She makes class interesting and the time DOES go by fast. She lectures and does ppt. we do group activities and discussions. Take her she is interesting. So what that she is attractive and fashionable? That's good! lol
I took this professor for 2 different classes..and I love her! She is very clear on what she expects. Although her exams are tough, she offers a lot of extra credit. If you attend class, study hard, and work on the extra credits you should be fine. I failed all her exams but still ended up with a B in the class. She is an awesome professor!
Taking her this semester (Abnormal). It's a large class yet she is involved with all of us. We do small group work and there are many ways in which she will evaluate our work. She cares and will NEVER give a test unless she goes over everything and sends us a study guide! Gives great examples. If u don't like her you aren't into the subject.
She makes me mad. Yeah she's funny and all but she tries to make you believe what she believes. She also has 4 teacher assistants. She moves trough power points way too quickly. She is rude to students when they ask questions/email her. The only good thing is there are LOTS of extra credit opportunities.
I have Dr.Rodriguez now and she is very cool. I've had her class before and loved her style of teaching. You really learn alot and there are extra credit opportunities. If you attend class and pay attention there is no way you'll fail. She assigns a few papers (nothing major 1-2 pages) and has some tests (some mul.choice/some essay) Take her class!
She is fair and is passionate about getting her students involved with feminist and humanitarian issues. She provides us with a study guide and gives a review before ALL exams. She does have standards and regards us as adults and I like that! I'm taking her for abnormal next. She is funny & kind. I have gone to her after class and she has helped me
I had her for clinical and this was the defining course in my entire college career!! She knows her stuff, is fair & really tells u what u need to do to make it in the field. Until this class I really did not understand what being a clinician was.! She treats u like an adult and does not talk down to u! Take her for anything. Her classes close up,
She was quite helpful and fair, she knows her stuff and expects you to work. But is fair! She will meet with you and guide you.I'm taking her next semester.
The best professor yet, she was helpful and made me think. She answers emails within 24hrs and that's not common! she talked, group work, power points, take home tests, classroom tests and extra credit opportunities which were relevant. I'm taking her again.
Take this teacher. I have her now and will take other classes with her 4 sure. She is clear about her expectations and tries to relate to all of us. I'm learning about the field and the topic. She is available. She also answers emails asap & sends a study guide for all exams. We also have TA's. I'm confident I'm learning and she works hard.
Take her. You'll definitely learn a lot even if you are not interested in psychology.
She seems really funny and nice at first, until a few weeks in when you realize she just really likes to hear herself talk. She's a narcissist-she will tell you that herself. I did 6 EC assignments overnight.EC!! and she made me rewrite them. You will learn a lot. She says u need to participate but if she doesn't like you she will NOT call on you.
I mean, if you would like someone to tell you how to think, take her. Not difficult, but if you want to learn something, teach yourself. Ec opportunities, but makes you rewrite them 3 times. Strong personality.
Attendance is mandatory. Lectures are very interesting! Enjoyed going to class!! READ the chapters & complete review sheet & you will do GREAT on the exams!!! You will LOVE this class&professor, so TAKE!!! There are plenty of extra credit opportunities! Learned a lot; Def. Recommend!
Dr. Rodriguez-Srednicki is undoubtedly the best professor I have had at Montclair! It's obvious that she cares very much about her students and wants them to succeed in all aspects of life. I would take every class she teaches and recommend others do the same! She encourages her students to learn outside of the classroom by offering tons of EC!
She's very spunky and fun to learn from. Lectures are based off of her slides, and exams were either on mypsychlab or multiple choice in class. Paperwork/grading all done through the TAs who were very helpful. She has a lot of experience in the Abnormal psych field. Lots of extra credit opportunities. I Recommend her!
i took her both for abnormal and clinical. she is really smart and experienced in her field. she helps you a lot. if you do the review sheet and read the chapter you'll do great. if not she gives many EC opportunities and allows u to rewrite them. i missed 2exams -weather and tech problem- and still got an A.
Fantastic woman. She has a lot of experience and is very interested in teaching. A lot of personal stories. However, she doesn't so much teach as tell you what you need to know so a chunk of this class is you teaching yourself. Encourages you to talk to her during office hours and tons of extra credit. Take her, but her class is not a cake walk.
Terrible class. Professor seems nice, but tests are unclear, full of grammatical errors, and all multiple choice. She does not return e-mails quickly, if she replies at all. She does not follow the syllabus at all, so it is confusing what we are supposed to study for class. She sends review sheets the night before the exam, so no time to study!
This was a pretty good class. She is super nice and helpful. Had 8 TAs for the entire class so there is all ways someone available. She has a big personality so be ready. The tests were all multiple choice and very easy because oft he study guides. No final. Drops your lowest grade and gives tons of extra credit, you have to try to fail this class!
She has a big personality, but it is overall an easy class. Study guides for every test and all test multiple choice. Drops the lowest grade and offers tons of extra credit. If you do the easy online homework and use the study guides you will be fine. Bring the textbook to class and highlight (her power points are just lines from the text). Easy A!
She is very smart. However, she talks a lot about being respectful of clients' cultures and backgrounds, yet she would literally make fun of specific clients (not naming them, but detailing their issues) and was just rude. Take her if you really are interested in the field of clinical psych or want an easy A. Otherwise I'd avoid her.
really good teacher, i learned a lot in this class. gives you study guide with exactly whats on the exam. ALOT of extra credit, drops the lowest grade. If you go to class, do the simple homework and study guide she gives there is no way you won't get an A. and its really interesting
She calls herself the "goddess of psychology".She lectures about her life experience for the entire class then theres a test the next week on the content she was supposed to be teaching. So then you have to go through the expensive textbook to teach yourself, i absolutely do not recommend her
Mandatory attendance. High use of txtbook that is not even written well. Talks a lot with high speed. Picks on ppl. Acts like she teaches, but actually you don't rly learn anything. Txtbk teaches you for the exams. Am not enjoying her class at all.
I personally thought that she was very clear in all aspects of the course. Yes the book is heavily used and homework is a must to pass the class. Of course attendance is important because if you want to learn and be in the loop you have to go. Otherwise loved her and would take her again
The goddess of psychology as she refers to the class thinks she knows EVERYTHING. There's no way one can correct her because she's right. She picks on students to answer questions and hates cellphones and chatters in class. You must read read the book. Tests are super long but doable. Quizzes are assigned online as homework which helps for tests.
I absolutely LOVED her, by far my favorite psych professor. You definitely need the book, and you have to go to class to get the notes for the exam. She gives TONS of extra credit assignments towards the end of the semester. She does talk about her experience in the field but as a psych major whose interested in clinical psych, I didn't mind it!
Great teacher!
Lectures are entertaining and educational at the same time so class flies by. Tests are easy to pass if you use the study guide provided for you. She assigns multiple extra credit assignments and drops the lowest test grade. Attendance counts, but this is a class that you will want to attend so it won't feel like a burden. I recommend taking her.
At first she was annoying because she stood out like a sore thumb, but you will warm up to her rather quickly! She is very funny, extremely smart and her TA is amazing! NEED THE BOOK (NEW DSM-5 CLINICAL PSYC), because the (quiz/assignments) will not entirely help! I'm taking her again for Abnormal Psyc. A sign sheet is given 95% of the time.
One of the smartest and most engaging professors I ever took. Her class challenged many and you definitely need to put the time in, but your efforts will be noticed and rewarded. I struggled with her tests and met with her during office hours and she truly seemed to care about my final grade after seeing how much I did. All the respect in the world
So amazing in every sense of the word. Her passion is shown through her work with students. I fell in love with clinical psychology and she is so engaging. Im obsessed.
She can seem very intimidating but she is actually pretty kind and willing to help, she is just very busy. Her exams are pretty hard and they are worth 85% of the grade, so it's really important to know the material. She does tell many relevant stories that are interesting to know, it is obvious she has a lot of experience. Classes go very fast.
Love her class. Exams are 85% of grade. But she tells you before hand what is going to be on it. Offers extra credit for the Albert Ellis. And drops lowest grade. What more can you ask for.
Had her for both psych of women and clinical. The class is super easy if you read whatever chapter the exam is on, and follow the study guide. She preaches about being on time, but is never on time herself. She also doesn't show up a lot. Most of the time the TA did everything and when she does show up, she just talks about herself... easy A though
I had Prof. Rodriguez this pass fall 16, wonderful teacher full of knowledge she can read you the moment she sees so don't try to get cute with her it's not what you want. She is a stickler for having your name tag present on the desk top and Please don't be late!!! Even if she is, make sure you read all material & study and pay attention !!!
Dr Rodriguez has been the best prof. I've had in Montclair. She's amazing, and truly knows what she is talking about. You have to go to class, she takes attendance seriously, but she's understanding so if you tell her why you missed she'll let it slide. She gives a chapter MC exam every week, so make sure to have read the assigned chapter. Love her
Don't take her. Talks to much off topic. Tests are harder than how she lectures. Very opinionated about topics outside the subject. Rants. sometimes she is funny. Hard to learn from. its like learning from a bragger. Very high and mighty.
Very passionate about the subject and very knowledgeable, and cares about her students. Gives a test every week for every chapter, but as long as you read the book and pay attention in class you'll get a good grade. Would definitely take her again!
100% TAKE HER. Great professor, applies real experiences to her lectures, demands respect and really emphasizes ethics. online quiz 10 MLTchoice. every week insanely easy, exams every week on one chapter, study guides for each. MUST USE BOOK. must have name tags. no laptops. sign in sheet. drops lowest exam/quiz. watch movies. no mid/final
This is possibly one of the worst professors I've ever had. I am never the one to lambast a professor over challenging course material (this is college) but Rodriguez is the most unfair, pretentious, narcissistic hypocrite I have ever encountered. She doesn't teach material, loves to talk about herself and is extremely rude to everyone!!!
Dr. Roriguez is great! Super sweet and funny. Shes very knowledgeable and relates real life situations to the text, making material easier to remember. Would definitely suggest Dr. R if youre looking for an easier class and interesting lectures!
Intimidating. will definitely call you out in front of a class if you are slacking or not paying attention or didn't do your homework. She does not mess around, but her lectures are more than interesting and her humor makes everything more enjoyable. Work is not hard. Also, do NOT bring a visitor to this class unless you ask.
Great Professor and you will learn a lot about different careers and what is expected working in any of the psychology fields. would take her again.
This Professor changed my life. She doesn't teach from the book much, but lectures about real life lessons about being a psychologist. She has in class exams every week and online (not timed) exams every week. She cancels class a lot. I LOVE her and even go to her office hours just to talk, she is cool and kind.
Incredibly wise and smart woman , I used to tell her that she was my idol and indeed she was such a big inspiration for me during that particular semester. Doctor Rodriguez is brilliant , you really learn a lot from her. But make sure you do your work, she doesn't mess around. In short, she is the best professor I have had at Montclair so far.
Are you ready to take weekly quizzes and tests? This is that class. No midterm or final.
I took her class online and she has a TA who does everything. The frustrating thing about this course was that both SHE and her TA don't reply to emails or anything so you're left lost. The whole class is quizzes only. You're paying for a class to teach yourself. She doesn't provide answers to the quizzes so you don't know if youre right or not.
She is my favorite professor so far. I love this clinical psych class. She makes it so interesting and gives a realistic point of view about each topic. She explains everything in detail, she loves to answer questions. 1 online and 1 in class weekly tests based on the lecture and textbook MANDATORY.
Terrible class. Seems like her quizzes test only our test-taking abilities, not on actual content. I've caught a couple mistakes on her quizzes, then confronted her about it, and she gave no feedback. Makes me question every one of her exams and how accurate they are according to the text/ppts she AND her TA swear by. Gave unhelpful study tips
Tests and quizzes every week but quizzes are online and open book. Tests are short and on each chapter so everything is divided well. Only issue is attendance is required but all she talked about in class was her personal experience in the field so dont take if you cant learn the material on your own
Her class was great!!! I took her for clinical psych. Literally all you need to do is study the power points, and go to class. Her lectures are NEVER boring either. She implements her actual experience into the lecture to give students a better understanding. I honestly learned a lot, I wish more professors were like her.
Dr. Rodriguez is so fun! I really loved her class and lectures. Tests are easy if you read the chapters. Watch the show "In Treatment" and you'll do fine on the exam, it is easy. You'll learn a lot from her. She really helped us completing this course successfully in this global pandemic. Take her, you won't regret!!
She does come off with a tone. During class (online) she definitely enjoys teaching for sure and she ALLOWS her student to voice perspective she doesnt go around acting like you as a student should know it all. If you enjoy having a professor who really is out there to teach you take her text book is needed. Grading is straight forward.
she's cool. rough start to the semester but thats a given. You watch a show called "In Treatment", it's pretty good. Not a very stressful class. Tests are reallllly reallllly easy to pass.
This class/professor gave me bad vibes at the start but throughout the semester it was a breeze. The lectures were interesting & the assignments were manageable. The quizzes & exams are so easy & the documentary assignment is so good! This was a great class during such a difficult time.
Dr. Rodrigues is the best professor at MSU. I took both Clinical Psych & Psych of Women with her. Quizzes & exams are easy as long as youre reading the chapters. She demonstrates a passion for teaching and wants her students to do well. She is very approachable and fun. Do not hesitate to take her! Youll learn tons from this amazing professor!!
I was scared of her in the beginning of the semester but her class is not hard at all. She is a good professor and is very knowledgeable. The only things your graded on is a quiz and test every week so you have plenty of chances to raise your grade, and she also gives extra credit. You watch the show in treatment and it was interesting. take her!
Hands down the best Psych professor I've ever had. The lectures are super engaging. You will learn a lot about clinical psychology and you can use the lectures to ask questions about what you'd like to do post-graduation. Attendance is 15% and the tests are 85% of the final grade. She gives lots of extra credit opportunities.
Get ready to teach yourself the class! She only talks about herself, with nothing to do with the class. Good luck.
BEST professor for Psych. I wish I could take her over and over again. She gives texts and quizzes before every class and that is basically it, very easy. Her class is so interesting, she is extremely helpful and wants to make sure you succeed.
Great professor. Her work is super easy, you have an open book quiz of 1o questions a week and another actual quiz of 20 questions. Lecture heavy and we had to be in every zoom meeting with cameras on which sucked but she was great. Easy A
Loved her. She has experience about everything she is teaching, so this allows her to relate to the subject. A test and quiz every week, but not hard at all. No mid term or final. 10/10, I would take her again for sure.
She's probably my favorite professor I've ever had. She keeps the lectures really interesting, and she's funny. Just read the assigned chapter and you'll ace the quiz and test. She's very nice as well!
Professor isnt bad, she just talks a lot about herself especially her ex husband. Quizzes and test make up at least like 85 of her class. She kind of a hit or miss to be honest.
We had to complete a total of 14 multiple choice quizzes and 2 optional extra credit assignments. She drops your lowest test grade if you complete 1 of the extra credits. Her teaching assistants were the only ones we had to reach out to if we had questions. You also would have to complete a discussion post question each week for participation.
She is a very entertaining professor. Most of the work you will do is graded by her TAs. There are some assignments that require you to watch videos that are pretty long. Her class is pretty straightforward if you attend and do assignments. Test are not difficult. Will need a textbook either ebook or paper copy.
I really loved the content in this class! I feel like I actually learned a lot and I love that i was able to learn at my own pace as she had the tests open the entire semester. I wish I could've interacted with the professor more as the TAs mainly just help
The prof had TAs who did all the work for her. There were weekly chapter tests that were hard, but it was all pulled out from the textbook, so I guess in that aspect it's not that bad. Weekly discussion posts were made by the TAs & the word count was 200-400 words; different topics each week. Idk overall, this class was alright in my opinion.
The TAs did all of the work. The professor was fine - came to class, taught, left. Online reading each week. A quiz AND exam each week online. The quizzes and exams are difficult but come directly from the reading. Straightforward class; I would take her again just for that factor
The only reason I would take her again would be because of how simple it was. She was very arrogant and often canceled class. Not worth taking this course, but It was an easy A for sure. The TA did most of the work, she just sat there and would speak and then would just talk about or to our TA and it was not worth the 40-minute commute.
Took Multicultural Psych async over the summer. 4 exams (lowest gets dropped), 5 discussion posts, and 2 extra credit assignments. $120 textbook and dense material. The exams were also really challenging. She didn't grade anything or answer emails - the TAs did all the work. I would take her again just based on how straightforward the class was.
She is very straight to the point which I liked. She gave her lecture with a goal, and I really did learn from her lectures. Sometimes I tend to zone out during lectures, but trust me, you won't in her class. She makes it fun and interesting.
Straightforward class, but professor is hands-off. Rely on the TA and Unstuck AI for study prep - they'll be your real support. Easy A if you put in the work.
The professor was not bad, she canceled class a lot. But the assignments are all online. The exams are 85% of your grade, but there are around 10-12 exams and one exam is dropped so that is not terrible. She usually ended class early and ended fall semester before Thanksgiving so she was able to get grading done on time. But I would take her again.
Dr. Rodriguez became my favorite professor I've ever had on the first day of class. I took her for clinical psych, I found her class to be far more useful and educational for the actual career field. She spends ample time going over the various psych degrees and explains the pros and cons between them all. I still go to her for career advice.
Dr. Rodriguez is great, on this online course you don't really get a good reading of her, but the assignments she send out are very helpful and interesting. Each week you have a quiz and a discussion post, as long as you complete them with all of the criteria you'll do fine. She usually offers extra credit at the end of the semester too.
Highly recommend. Her classes are fun. They are real and raw. She teaches in an out of the box way rather than just giving you a textbook. Just show up for class, do the few assignments you'll get an A. She is hilarious and inspirational.
