Exams were easy, she let us bring in the formula sheet with written notes. Midterms and Final not cumultive. Her notes were easy to understand and her tests were straightforward. The class av. was high so the curve brings down your mark.

Helpful notes and examples. Her midterm was easy, but the final was a bit harder. If you do the homework and study for the exams, you'll do fine in her class.

I will now share the secret to excelling in her class. The formula sheets she gives to you are of the number two, with a blank backside. Simply write a sample question for each topic on the back. Congrats, 100 on MT and 80 on final. Skipped last month

Her exam is awesome, esp the final, extremely easy let me tell you. I would definitely recomend this prof. She is very helpful. If you ever had any problems in the homework assignment, go to see her. She will basicly give you an answer. Great prof.

Wow, exams were way too easy, allows us to write whatever on the formula table (which we can bring in to exams), very helpful, u email her and 30~60 minutes later she reply, even at midnight. Good prof, though a lot and a lot of notes. Advise, shorten it up urself, dont copy word for word

She speaks clearly and is very helpful with questions- a 15 minute e-mail response delay can't be beat. Exams aren't too tough, but don't get bogged down in the notes (paraphrase)- she may waddle around the room, but she covers a lot of ground.

Good prof. lectures are boring, but helpful, for the amount of information to cover, she does a good job. don't get fooled, it is a breeze up to the midterm,it gets challenging after the midterm with hypothesis testing but put in some attention to it and you would do fine. Good prof!!!

Awesome prof and so cute! Alot of notes but they are so helpful for the assignments that you dont even have to read the text book. Midterm is easy, but final a little tougher, however you can bring in a formula sheet with anything you want written on it.

She was great! lectures may have been boring and your hand hurt from all the notes, but the notes were so helpful, and she always explained concepts fully. Tests were very fair. Awesome prof.

Great stats prof. Tons of notes, but assignments are easy, just take time. Exams were a bit tougher than her practice exams, but were still pretty easy. Final was a bit harder than midterm. No textbook reading required except reading examples. Curve was decent for a stats class. Jolly lady, take her class if you have to do stats. I got an A.

Oksana is a very good prof, lots of very useful notes that are very relevant to assignments and exams. Highly recommended prof for stats, very helpful during her office hours. Class is very boring but not much can be done to liven up stats.

Wow! This instructor went above and beyond to help me (a student with dyslexia) during scheduled office hours. She helped me get beyond the math barrier to actually understanding some of the concepts. WELL DONE!

Excellent prof. The class is dead boring but there's not much you can do with stats to keep things interesting. Has very good, thorough examples that help you greatly when doing assignments. Try to understand some of the theory (or write it on you formula sheet) for exams.

Great notes, but she goes super fast. If you take all her notes and go to every lecture, you will never need to use your textbook, except for on assignments. Hard exams, so study carefully.

If you want your hands to hurt, take her class because she writes like there's no tomorrow. She blasts through the topics so fast you have a hard time retaining and understanding all the information. Her midterm was brutal ...but she's helpful when you ask for it.

Class wasn't very exciting, and she took notes ridiculously fast but class time was well used and we finished the course early which was nice :)

Statistics is not exciting, but Oksana does a good job teaching it. She writes fast, but her notes are clear and concise. Nothing unexpected on the midterm or final.

Oh statistics, statistics. Thou art my love, oh two-sample t-test. I shall never forsake you for the cruel and vulgar ANOVA, even though you both would give the same result. Chi Square, chi square, why hidest thou? You hide your face in shame, cloaking categorical darkness behind continuous sunshine. You're underappreciated, but I value you.

Oksana is the goddess of statistics. This is my third time attempting this course (geez, I hope I pass this time....), and I'm so glad I got Oksana. Statistics is now my life. I have found my passion in sweet, sweet, ANOVA.

Ok class is very very boring. But her exams are short and mostly easy if you study the textbook really well. This makes the fact that she does nolt give long exams that take the energy out of you. Otherwise shes very nice and helpful. If you dont mind stats, then take her.

I love, love, love statistics. It's my life. After taking Oksana's class, I want to major in statistics. Man, it's Friday night and I'm at home, working on my SPSS doing ANOVAS and correlations. And the best test of all, the t-test. T for me. I love stats.

I thought my hand was going to fall off by the end of class.(Learn to write short hand) But her notes are amazing. That is all you need to study. Plus, she lets you write on the formula sheet. I never opened the book once. However, really really really boring.

Goes through notes at hand cramp inducing speed.NO online notes. the textbook is ridiculously useful. She follows the book exactly. I went to a grand total of 5 classes the whole semester and attended zero classes after the midterm and came out with an A+. Just scan the book a day or two before the exams its a breeze. very easy n i hate stats ALOT!

She makes her notes very to-the-point. For exams, just look at notes. very helpful, exams were very fair. it seems she does as much as possible to help you succeed :)

Go to class and she'll teach you everything you need to know for exams. Or, don't attend and teach the material yourself the few days before the exams. Either way stats wasn't that bad. I think Oksana is one of the best lecturers for intro stats. The only criticism is that she writes SO fast, and doesn't post your marks online. But she's cool.

Exams are easy... even the final was unusually easy. Doesn't post notes so u have to go to class if u want them. Straightforward notes which is all u'll need for her tests, you wont need the textbook other than for some practice. However the textbook was really good for studying for the final and midterm.

Oksana has made statistics my passion. I was once a Women's Studies major, but decided to switch to stats as a result of Oksana. Oh, ANOVA. You light up my life. How I await ot see the mean thy doth giveth to me!

There once was a University statistician/who did ANOVAs like a magician. She worked out z-scores, but never a bore/and now I am a statistician.

Some people are writing that her class is easy; some people are writing that her class is hard. I don't know what to make of this. What am I to do if I don't have this website to guide me in my decisions?

This prof is very good at what she does and writes very good notes. If you don't go to class, read the textbook though I wouldn't use it as a complete substitute. Exams are multiple choice, which sucks. Material is extremely dry but that can't be helped.

Do I hear singing? Hark, what voices approach? But the voices are merely the reverberations in the throats of young students enjoying their statistics class. Oh, to thee I go, blessed statistics class! Challenge me with hypothesis testing, and do not confuse categorical and continuous data. Fail not to reject my null hypothesis, sweet t-test!

She's a pretty standard stat prof, notes are good, but material is really dry for most. Go to class, take her notes, study them for a bit, and you'll do well. Hard thing is that it's a 20 question midterm and a 30 question final (at least when I took it)so every question is worth alot. Tests aren't hard, just be careful

Goes at the speed of sound, so it's doable but you have to write kind of fast & may not absorb the material in class so review it after. Notes are quite clear, but should make use of MathXL if you don't get it. More than glad to help you. Very nice prof, but doesn't like talking in class. Exams are MC, not too bad if you know your stuff.

"Doesn't like talking in class." Well, geez. I wonder why. Maybe because you're in University, and should show respect to the person talking, and to those around you by being quiet.

She writes notes like a beast, but when you go over them after class, you'll realize her notes are awesome. Make sure you read the textbook, cuz there are a few tricks in there that'll help you for the final ;)

She goes over every single detail when she doesn't have to,especially when writing notes. Which means it takes her twice as long to say something comparing to other professors who don't treat their students like idiots. She writes so fast that it might be hard for some to concentrate on what she is saying.

Oksana is a goddess. Her notes are so in depth, it's impossible to get confused. The only downside is that 85% of my mark was determined by 55 questions... Yikes.

In all honesty you don't want a prof who is funny and doesn't get anything done in a course. You want Oksana who gives you extremely thorough notes and gives you practice for your exams. Yes, the exams are easy and you need to do very well to get an A but you don't need the textbook whatsoever. Take her she is very good!

Sometimes lectures as if students are complete idiots, by repeating the same things over and over again, and lectures tend to be writing for the straight 50 minutes. However, her exams are not hard and she gets the material out there fairly well. Plus we finished the course early!

How do I love thee, statistics? Let me count the ways. And then I can take the mean, median, and mode of those ways. I might even draw a distribution. Stats is amazing, and so is Oksana.

Yeah stats is really boring, so don't plan on enjoying this class. On the other hand, Oksana is really nice and teached the material well. However, the textbook is really straightforward compared to her notes, so you may finding yourself referencing it a lot. Once you "get" everything, this class is really, really straightforward.

Loved her notes. Easy exams. Go to class. She bores me to death and although I got a B+ I hate stats becoz its sooo easy but sooo boring. Boring. I will repeat boring. But u gotta live with it. Extremely boring material, not her fault. Boring

Great prof, VERY clear, dumbs everything down. Will you be interested? or paying attention? probably not. Just right down all the notes, and read them later and everything will be crystal clear. midterm was easy, final was more theory based then calculations. Definately recommend over other profs teaching intro stats.

Dr. Kotovych is excellent. Sure you'll have to write a lot of notes (deal with it) and the course moves at a fairly fast pace but if your willing to put in the effort, which believe me isn't as bad as it sounds, you can EASILY get an A. She is always prepared to help prior to exams or with any other concerns and only tests on what's in her notes.

Although the notes may be extensive, Oksana obviously knows what she is doing and it's hard to not be grateful for the depth she provides in her notes. I highly recommend working hard to ace the first exam, because I know a few people including myself had difficulty with the final. The material is not overly difficult,just make sure to study hard!

AMAZING PROF. go to class. write the notes super super super fast. read them later. do the assignments over and over until you get 100%. Don't be lazy. Get an A. It's that simple.

whole classtime is spent taking notes really fast therefore you wont learn anything during it. i stopped going for the last month and for the final i just used the textbook to study. Fair exams.

Not the most fascinating course, but it was the course, not her. She responded to emails instantly, was very clear in her lectures, and I felt bad she was stuck with such bland subject matter. Would recommend.
