Do yourself the favor and do not take her, seriously. I wouldn't wish this woman on my worst enemy. Terrible attitude. And if you're thinking to yourself: "Maybe she won't be that bad," don't say this review of her wasn't a warning. Her test are so much difficult than they have to be, oh and her homework? You can kiss your social life goodbye.

Stay away, you'll spend way too much time doing Aleks (which takes away from real studying). 90% of what you do in Aleks you won't see with the exception of the Aleks knowledge checks. Tests are way too hard (about 7 pages and class average was around 50) she also assigned work after the final. Avoid the headache and take someone else.

Shes smart, but she is the Worst Professor I have ever taken . she is not helpful at all. This class is intense and she gives nothing to help out. You have to study , go to tutor ! ! Not only study but spend hours and hours doing home work that counts . I would never recommend her.

Worst professor, went way too fast, homework was an absurd amount and nothing changes even if the class averages on tests were 50s. Even the smart people struggled. Do not take this class. Worst professor I have ever had in all of my college career. Dictator seems to be a more fitting name. Reads directly off lengthy slides so fast it is impossible to comprehend. Posts slides but deletes all important info. Has terrible attitude. hesitant to offer help. Hw is time consuming and is useless for exams which are insanely hard. WORST!!!!

DO NOT take this professor! She explains the lessons fast. She has an attitude if you seek for help! You need to spend at least 3-4 hours or more doing aleks every week.A lot of students are dropping her class!

This is the worst professor I took this semester. She never checks her email properly, and does not help students at all. There will be a homework portion of your grade, where sometimes you have to do homework that she didn't even go over. You should not miss her class, cause she does not help at all outside of her class. Tests will be difficult.

Worst professor on queens college, and Ive taken and seem a lot in this department. if you want an awesome professor, take Thomas Sangiorgi. You will thank yourself for listening to this. She does the bare minimum for a professor, and most of the time even less. Im my opinion she is rude, not understanding, and a very hard grader.

Please do yourself a favor and do not take this professor, she will make your life hell! she gives 7 page test, she only gives you an hour to complete them. The aleks homework is 167 topics each with 4 questions, and they will keep repeating if you get one wrong. Her slides are not helpful at all, her examples are easy and test are really hard.

Worst professor ever. For a beginner class she goes way too fast. The Homeworks in ALEKS are topics she never discussed, you'll have to learn new topics through ALEKS. Tests are really hard and she doesn't give enough time. Please dont take this professor save your time and pick someone else. If shes the only one just wait another semester.

If youre thinking about taking this professor do yourself a favor and run as far and as fast as possible. Her notes in class and the notes she posts on blackboard are completely different, not to mention you have about 10 seconds to copy a full slides worth of notes. The homework is on aleks and has nothing to do with what was covered in class

She had this attitude when you ask her doubts. Dont proofread her exam questions and is so stubborn, put questions from outside lecture. Its normal for people to fail in her class no matter how hard you try

If you are willing to sacrifice a decent GPA just to fulfill a chemistry requirement with a below sub par professor, then be my guest and take this professor. Not only is the material you actually need to learn, not in her slides, the homework will take you hours if not days to complete. Best to avoid her if possible. There was a 70% fail rate....

Olga is not a good teacher. She doesn't know how to teach chem. Has a fake smile for her students, tries to act very nice when she's not. You have to spend hours studying just basic chem. Tutors were so much better.

Shes a horrible teacher. She breezes through slides she purposely left blanks for you to fill out too fast and you really have to teach yourself or find tutors. Binyaminov is awful. Class is unnecessarily difficult. you never know what is happening in lectures. homework takes hours. even if you try hard you will still fail. abort mission at all cost if you value your GPA!!!!!!

Professor puts you in groups in class where no one knows what to do. When she DOES teach, the lectures are nearly impossible to follow.

Terrible, terrible Professor. Very rude. Wayyyy too much homework. If you dont understand something, raise your hand and she will embarrass you. No phones or electronics unless you sit in the first 2 rows. No extra credit. no one understand her unnecessarily complicated lectures. (After chapter 1 you will be lost). And she cant help. The very first thing that came out of her mouth when the semester started was, dont believe everything you read on rate my prof. LOL. Some people will never realize when theyre the problem even when everyone is tell them they are, shes one of those people. Go right ahead and apply to take this professor who seems to be more concerned on what her rating is on this website than actually trying to improve herself. Professor moves very quickly not giving you enough time to retain information, online homework is insane. Can't make up test even for emergancy. Don't take if you don't need to, not worth the stress.

Simply just avoid her classes. Trust me you will thank yourself later. She goes through the materials so fast as if we are suppose to know these stuff from before. She also gives lots of homework. Aleks was the only useful material I actually learned something from. The book was confusing and the lectures were useless.

No cellphones, no talking, no coming in late, no getting up, and I promise you WILL get called out for doing ANY of these things. The online transition: no cellphones, no talking, no coming in late, cameras on at all times, again.. WILL call you out. Hundreds of hw, micromanages the labs, and treat the exams/quizzes as a race or you wont finish em!

COVID-19 online Lectures are eh, and she grades attendance ruthlessly. She uses Aleks for assignments+exams, but I learned more using that platform than her lectures. Her ONLINE exams are a race and don't reward the student for the work done to get the answer. No perfect answer, no credit for the question. Good luck if you have her. Study hard.

This professor is HORRIBLE! Extremely rude. Olga needs to understand that as a student paying tuition to get an education, I do not deserve to get treated in a rude manner. I never write reviews on professors but this professor needs to be called out. She thinks she runs the department of chemistry, its literally her life. I had a high GPA before this course, now my GPA is down. She does not know how to teach ! RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL! Please fire her ASAP! If you didn't take chem in H.S ITS EVEN WORSE.

It's really unfortunate I have to say this, but I really do not recommend her. If you're strong in Chemistry and know it, you'll do fine I believe. If you're new and trying to learn it, she's awful for it. She will say she cares about students, but she cares more about pushing her agenda instead of students understanding. She's also stressful.

I dropped her class after a few weeks, it would take a lot for me to drop a class but I honestly feel like it was better for me to do so. She seems a bit rude and we had to have our cameras on one device&take the quiz every week on another device so she can watch us which wasted time&unfair for students who didn't have a good environment to do so.

Beware, if you think you can avoid her think again. She gets tacked onto your classes eventually even though you signed up for a different professor. Otherwise, she would never get anyone in her classes so this is how shes still "teaching" here. Try to avoid at all costs by doing epermit for chem somewhere else. RUN!

She is a tough grader. I took her when the semester switched to online. She does not give partial credit on test, so if your answer is off by a bit it will be marked wrong. She does not repeat herself in lectures so if you don't understand something she tells you to read the book.

She is inescapable as she does the lecture for every Chem lab. She would often give contradictory instructions. For example: She uses the website Aleks for her weekly homework. She warned us not to leave it until the last minute as it would take a while. There was unlearned material on the assignment which she removed the day before it was due.

I honestly have no words to how much I dislike this class. Like previous people have said she assigns assignments in Aleks and expects us to do them in one day meanwhile we have other classes to do as well. She absolutely has 0 consideration to the students. Do not take her class if you don't want to stress.

Dropped this class as soon as I could. She is very clear on what to expect, but expects way too much. Multiple programs and accounts required outside the school's provided platforms. Cameras must be turned ON during lecture and lab, otherwise you WILL be called out numerous times in front of the other 100 students. Lab assignments full of trick Qs

she just reads from her slides and whenever you ask for help she's passive and gives you an attitude if you don't know the answer and barely gives the class to answer a question. She'll have a question up and literally 5 seconds later she'll say "cmon guys" She uses ALEKS and a lot of the questions aren't covered in class

If there was a list of the top 100 worst teachers in this country she would probably be in the top 5 and Im not trying to be mean, its just a fact!

Professor was disorganized, unhelpful, inefficient, inconsiderate, and takes forever to respond to an email. Failed to post the syllabus and when asked for it through email, she ignores you. If you fail to login into zoom or have technical difficulties she will not give you credit for the lab or give you a chance to redo it.

I know exactly why you're here. You chose Chem 101 to fulfill one of your Science requirements but you notice you were assigned this monstrosity of a professor. You question yourself, "Was I the one who chose her?' No, no you did not. QC hid her name from the list and put "Staff" instead because they know no one would choose her. I'm sorry for you.

she doesn't even wear a mask in the classroom. save yourself. She thinks that professors are excused from the mask mandate rule. Why be a professor if you can't set an example?

She is the worst professor I have ever had in my college career. She literally does not know how to grade. I had to go to the TA every week to make sure she graded correctly. She also doesn't know how to use google forms for pre and post labs. I highly do not recommend her at all. It's impossible to avoid her, if you have her best of luck.

I truly tried to give this prof, the benefit of the doubt, I really did. She constantly makes mistakes while teaching so we can't even study off half the material we have because.. yk it's wrong. She assigns copious amounts of work, doesn't respond to emails, and calls you disrespectful when you bring her wrong doings to her attention. avoid her.

She knows her stuff, but she's not that great of a professor. I feel so sorry for you if you need this for a major class. She also spent class time fueling the passive-agressive outbursts of certain students multiple times, mad annoying. I took her CHEM 1011 Lab. I tried my best in her class. She is not a nice professor. very rude and tough grader. Be on time in class.Have your lab ready before you go to the class. No Lab no participation is 0. You will get Zero on your Lab if you absent until you show her valid document. No extra credit. One more she does not reply email...

olga lives down to the hype. haughty and condescending, to the point of disrupting learning. her strictness is inconsistent. do not show up unprepared. makes it clear she will kick you out for any reason she deems worthy from day 1. a professor's brittle ego should never dictate the direction/instruction/environment of any class. This was the worst class I ever took. She always had a passive aggressive attitude, graded harshly, was never there for help after class, would never answer emails, gave so much assignments. She made a one credit lab class more work than any other class. do not take her because you will try your hardest a recieve 60-70 on labs. Final was

Professor Olga is one of the toughest professors I've had. This is a 1 credit lab, but she will make you write really long and detailed lab reports that took me around 6 hours every week and consumed most of my time, only to get 60-80 for most of them because of stuff missing that wasn't specified in class or the lab manual. Almost scared me out of college altogether. Dropped and re-took intro chem at a community college and got an A, came back to QC and finished with a near 4.00 in chem minor. This Professor is a bully and a threat to girls and minorities who lack the confidence in STEM but have the brains.

Sometimes she didn't even show up to teach the lab, and some other guy subbed for her, I didn't know what was expected because she grades the labs based on her specifics and not his. She's very unprofessional for a lab instructor, it's surprising how she still has this job.. Chem dept is rly incompetent, doesn't do ANYTHING!

She is always rushing to leave and gets frustrated if you do not understand something at her pace. Burdened by her own work to a point where she projects her frustration onto the students. Stay away!!
