Literally the NICEST professor I've ever had! Super easy class! She goes through her power points & on days before exams she gives questions that are almost word for word on the test. Make sure you write down the questions and answers she gives and you will get an A!

She is such a nice teacher, I really enjoyed her class and her lectures. I didn't read the book but her lectures go over it and help you with the tests. She puts up a quiz every week and they are really easy. I loved taking Finance because of her.

Very easy class, and for a required 1 credit hour class, it's the best you could ask for. There are quizzes every week that are word for word from the powerpoint, and the test questions are for the most part taken right from the quizzes. If you pay attention and care a little bit, you could learn a lot of beneficial information. Either way, easy A.

This class was super easy. Her lectures are full of useful information and her quizzes are word for word from the iClicker questions she asks you in class. You do need to show up to class in order to get the iClicker points because there is no homework.

She is incredibly sweet and cares not just about how you do in her class but how she can teach you and help you in real life , during and after college life. Her class is really easy and as long as you show up and do the iclicker questions you'll pass. The quizzes are from those questions and the notes and the tests aren't bad at all.

Olga is the average caring instructor. Take notes during class and they are word for word when you take the quiz online. She offers two extra credit quizzes towards the end of the semester that are worth 30 points each.

It's obvious she really enjoys teaching finance. The class itself is super easy. You don't need the book, the powerpoints cover the exact same material. She takes I-Clicker points which end up being 12% of your overall final grade so attendance matters. Quizzes are online and can be taken on your own computer. Exams are basically same as the quiz.

EASIEST CLASS OF YOUR LIVE, if you do exactly what you are supposed to do. The quizes are at home quizes every week, and the test is composed of exactly what the quizes have on them. If you do the quizes with your notes (or the provided power points) and you will get an A. Gives extra credit at the end that BOOSTS UP YOUR GRADE.

Dr. McAtee makes the class a breeze. She is brilliant with finance, but she also understands that this is a super basic course. She offers a ton of extra credit and makes it really hard for you to get anything but an A in the class.

You have to show up to get credit for iClicker questions, but taking notes isn't necessary since the powerpoints are posted on Blackboard. I hardly ever used the textbook, but occasionally she will refer you to a specific page number. Tests are basically just the questions from the weekly quizzes. It's an easy core class with a really nice prof.

Easy A. Class is out of 1000 points, participation is worth 120 of them. 60 points of extra credit possible. Tests and quizzes are super easy as long as you follow her lectures and take notes. Even attendance questions are on the tests and quizzes. Show up once a week. Take notes. Participate. Do study guides. BAM. You get an A.

She is one of my favorite professors I have had at Ball State. She keeps the class very simple because it is a CORE class. She understands not many are going into that field so she teaches the basics and has no tricks. Very sweet, very calming, and very helpful. Tests are the biggest portion but they are super easy (lowest I got was a 91%).

This is the easiest class you could ever take. She doesnt allow electronics so you have to write out your notes in class or she posts the PowerPoints later that day. 4 Test that are super easy and quizzes each week that are on the PowerPoints. Professor McAtee is a great choice for this easy class. You will need to attend all lectures, but there is just one 10 question quiz each week and the test is made up of the quiz questions. Don't bother buying the book; if you pay attention during the lecture and take good notes, you will be fine.

Easy one credit class. You get 10 points each class if you show up and answer the questions with your iClicker. Each week, quizzes are based off of notes, but are a super easy 20 points. Tests are harder, but if you fill out the study guides you will be fine. She has a thick accent, but other than that she is a great professor.

She is a super easy professor. Theres a quiz every week but she sends out reminders, and usually its just the questions she asked in class. Easy A for sure, but make sure to go to class or youll miss 10 points for each time you dont go.

She is a very caring professor. She gets everyone a 50% off the textbook so its only $40ish instead of $100. She is very understanding and if you go to class and do your quizzes you will be fine! McAtte is a profound professor. Her lectures are very detailed and she is well educated on finance. As long as you put in the work you will get a good grade. I will say, she does give us 2 chances to get a question right on our weekly homework quizzes, but on the exam you get one try with no calculator which is contradicting.

This class basically relies on the textbook so you'll need to read for each chapter. She goes over most of the weekly quiz material in each lecture but the lectures make way more sense if you read before. As long as you read the textbook for each chapter, take notes, and attend the lectures, you'll do fine.

She is AWESOME! If you have to take Fin101 take it with Olga because she is not only super easy when it comes to her content and what it takes to pass, but she is super considerate of what her students are going through and how they feel. She is willing to work with students on their schedule issues involving her class and is super caring.

She makes it very easy to pass. Theres lots of extra credit opportunities and the quizzes are very easy. For the final, every answer choice was A. She also is very responsive. I would definitely recommend her.

She takes attendance and gives participation grades by using iClickers, they're easy points to get just by answering any applicable answer. She's very knowledgable with Canvas and practices what she preaches with her chosen subject in her profession.

Unless she changes it, class is ICLICKER so you have to go to classes in order to pass it. Test/quizzes every week or every other week. They aren't hard! Exams are evenly spaced out as well. Overall okay class.

Hated the class as math/finance is not my strong suit but Dr. McAtee was a great professor! She made sure to answer our questions and give plenty of examples. The textbook is LONG and VERY wordy, so get ready for that (it's a chapter each week).

This class is simple if you read your textbooks and listen to every weekly lecture. While there is a lot of reading and note-taking, it pays off on quiz/test days. She gives points for participating in i-clicker questions, which sometimes will appear on the quizzes. She is also a good lecturer, which makes the class easier to understand.

Professor McAtee is a good choice for FIN 101, but make sure to show up to class to earn points through IClicker. Those can really drop a grade if you don't show up. Overall, the course is pretty easy and she has interesting lectures. Offers a good amount of extra credit too, good class.

Olga is great. She is very much there to help you if you need it. I had Personal Finance as a 400 person lecture but she makes it pretty interesting. Never once opened the textbook and barely went to the once a week lecture. The quizzes and tests are super easy and mostly common sense or on quizlet.

Amazing professor. She allows you to use anything but the internet on tests, which people used anyway, so the class is super easy to pass. Everything was on quizlet. The only things graded were weekly quizzes, 3 tests, 2 podcast assignments, and iClicker points. She also had extra credit! Very easy since you can look everything up on quizlet.

McAtees class is extremely easy. Mostly all the answers to her quizzes/tests are on Quizlet. Probably the most effortless class Ive ever taken. Attendance is required with the iClicker but your answer doesnt have to be correct as long as you choose an answer to show that you were in class. She also gives easy extra credit. Highly recommend her!

This class was easy for the fact that everything is on a quizlet and the fact if you ever took finance in high school then this is the same. This class disappointed me for the fact that there's outdated info given like money market accounts we spent a weeks time on but the highest rating you're going today is 0.00001. It's useless info.

She is so nice and understanding! I hope to have one of her classes in the future even though I am not a "math person". She has about a test a week and a podcast as well (podcast was every 2-3 weeks). She is super nice about grading things, just make sure to talk it to her at some point as she loves to talk to us.

You do need the textbook and an I-clicker. But, tests are online and you can use notes. The only other assignments are podcasts reviews which take like 15 minutes. I would absolutely take again. You can also have 2 absences and lowest quiz score gets dropped.

Attendance is most definitely required with an iClicker. Assignments are incredibly easy. If you dont pass I honestly dont know what to tell you lol

Great professor, easy to understand lecture, open note open book exams and quizzes. Your whole grade is dependent upon quizzes and exams but they are easy if you listen to the lectures. Highly recommend Proffesor McAtee!

This class was smooth sailing. The assignments are weekly and pretty easy. She uses IClickers for attendance but I rarely went to class and got an A- in the class. I went for all of them the first 2/3 of the semester and then just didn't go since it was once a week and I didnt get much out of the class. The professor is excited to be teaching it!

Prof. McAtee cares about the material and her students. There was a lot of reading in this course, but you get a second guess on every quiz question. There are a couple of discussion boards as well as a couple of podcast homework assignments. She offers extra credit. I ended the course with over 100%. I actually learned a lot! So glad I had her!

Olga was cool, there are weekly tests but they are super easy. She provides her lectures online which are super helpful with the tests. I will say take notes though as trying to flip through all the slides for the exams was a lot. Though, by the end of the semester, I noticed 95% of the answers were A, Idk what that was about.

Most basic entry level class. Easy grader, very kind and likable as a person. If your a freshman she is a great introduction to college classes to get you moving into the college mindset. Lectures can be boring but that is just how finance goes for most and its usually a 200-300 person lecture anyways.

You don't need the book, all the answers are either in her slides or they are elsewhere on the internet. She goes over great stuff that can help people handle their money well but it's a very large class and harder to pay attention. Attendance is taken with the IClicker app and has a location radius so you have to be in the room.

When you take FIN 101, take it with her!! Prof. McAtee is not only very nice, she has open book policy on everything in her course - even the exams! She does iClicker during every class, but she only grades it based on participation, not on getting the answers right. Easiest A possible, especially for a 50 min class that meets once a week.

It is nearly impossible to get below a B. In fact it is an easy A class. All you have to do is do the assignments and attend class-attendance is graded for participation. Take this professor!! FIN 101 is such an easy class! Each week I go just to get attendance points and do other homework during the lecture. All quizzes/exams are open book open note! She knows this is a required course and doesn't make it any harder than it needs to be.

Everything accessible and note backed-up online. There is no way to go under a B unless assignments are guessed, forgotten, or attendance missed too much. A textbook required to take exams through that company do not take shortcuts to do those exams. Pay for the textbook. Alot of material covered and thick accent, but it simple class.

This was overall a great class to take. I would only say that the class was probably too easy. I don't think this will help me much in the future other than the fact that I know where specific financial resources are now. Despite the easiness, it is obvious Olga lectures very naturally and knows her stuff.

It was hard to stay engaged in the class, however I can't really blame her for that (the class is a BSU requirement and had like 200 people in it).
