I have taken 3 classes with Prof Oliver Grundmann so far through UFL Distance Learning. He is a very reliable & helpful professor. He answers his emails promptly which is a big plus specially with online programs. He gives detailed feedbacks on HWs which helps his students understand the subject matter even more. Def an inspiring professor!

In my opinion, Dr. Grundmann makes online courses preferable to brick and mortar without sacrificing any of the learning experience. Currently doing my MS in Pharm Chem with him and he is one of my favorite professors I've ever had.

The difficulty of the class was expected. It was not a breeze but if you read the notes and do the suggested reading it really prepares you for the quizzes and assignments.

Took Dr. Grundmann for Integrated Sequence 2 at Midwestern University, Glendale. Very good prof with good lectures and sense of humor. Take notes, easy to see what he tests on, would recommend him. "Quizzes are like vegetables. I don't like them, but they are good for me and make me stronger." ;)

Awesome class! One quiz and one assignment per week. Lots of reading, but if you're interested in pharmaceuticals - it's very enjoyable! Definitely a class that requires effort, but nothing bad. He is always available for questions, responds to emails in a VERY timely manner, and is understanding with extension requests if necessary.

This is a good intro to clinical toxicology class. It is not too difficult and you learn a lot as a beginner clinical toxicologist.

I enjoyed PHA 6432. Dr. Grundmann is knowledgeable and is a great professor. I enjoy the online module. The online discussions and quizzes provided great opportunity to learn. The virtual office hours as well as feedbacks were very helpful. The class offered opportunity to improve as well as to think and apply knowledge.

I like that he provides a discussion of the assignment at the beginning of each assignment, giving clear expectations before you begin.

Dr. Grundmann's lectures are really interesting. He is gives quizzes in lectures & discussion posts on Canvas, so the course grade is not based solely on exams. Put in a little effort and it's possible to get an A in Drug Use & Abuse.

Dr. Grundmann is the quintessential professor. Knowledgeable, respectful, responsive, caring, etc. etc. Although you do have to work for your grades, I never have a second thought about taking one of his classes. Highly recommend.

The class is pretty interesting if you are open minded to herbal supplements. There isnt as much literature to search for in this class when compared to others in the major.

Professor Grundmanns work definitely required research and written assignments. This was definitely more work thank taking a quiz/test from the lecture material but the research and writing allowed me to apply what I learned and help me utilize material learned from the modules. I definitely learned more from this class than I thought I would.

All materials in the course are engaging and well thought out. There are lots of work but in the end you are more knowledgeable. Don't be mistaken by the level of difficulty because you do have to put in the hours of work for the grade you want. Overall, it has been a great experience for the summer course!!!!!

Literature survey class. You get to pick a topic, so pick a good one you can write a lot about. A 7 page research paper is somewhat grueling, but at the end I came out with much more knowledge on the subject than I previously had, as well as being exposed to new sources of information. Highly recommend.

I took Dr. Grundmann for an online elective and found that the class wasn't too much work, but provided me with me good information. There was only one assignment a week and they were not too difficult. Most of the assignments did require me to do outside research, but the topics were interesting. If you put in the work/effort, you'll get an A.

Gives you a clear idea what is wanted for the class. Does a great job of presenting the information. Explains the ideas and concepts very well. Hits everything you need to continue in the pharmacy program. Teaches what is on the test, is caring and gives quizzes so you have an idea of what is on the test. Great teacher overall.

I always attended lectures and he is very clear on what will be tested. He had weekly quizzes which were approximately the difficulty level of exam questions. He also did a kahoot game after the end of each lecture power point which also reflected exam questions. To be clear these werent the exact questions on the exam but they were good practice.

This is my second class with Dr. G and I find his classes to be very informative. He provides great reading material, besides the modules. I really appreciate that he brings real life modelling (i.e docking or in silico) which allows you to really apply the principles you learn. He is very caring and wants you to succeed.

As a medical professional, taking this course really expands upon some topics I took in my doctoral program and helps me with current EBP for clinical toxicology. I really enjoyed having Dr. G as my professor. From all of the IS professors, I am going to miss him the most. I felt like I learned a lot and his quizzes were helpful. He uses Kahoots and also prizes at the end to give us a reason to study and prepare for the Kahoots. That means that I was getting more prepared for the exam material.

Great professor, definitely pay attention in IS2 to the drug names and medicinal chemistry. The quizzes were very helpful and similar to the exams. Dont skip class, he does Kahoot! quizzes in class at the end of every lecture that is also similar to his exam questions. Good Luck!

I took Addiction with Dr. Grundmann and it was a great class. The two books were really interesting and it wasn't too much work for a one credit class. You do need to attend lectures for attendance points. I would recommend to anyone! Best honors class I have taken so far!

The class required weekly discussion posts and keeping up with the reading (textbook was Methland and Beautiful Boy). Lectures could go on for a while but it was a really interesting topic.

Gave us multiple surveys for us all to pick a weekly class meeting time and a time for our final exam since it fell on Election Day. You have to attend class to get the password to each quiz. Answered literally every question thrown at him, even though it did have lectures fall behind and then given to us all at once within 24-48 hrs prior to exam. Other than that, he is an awesome professor and if lectures are attended, you know what to expect on exams.

One of my favorite was about DOPAMINE and how we should "enjoy first" to increase our DOPAMINE level on Valentine's then go out to eat. Haha, now i never forget the structure. Totally Recommend him.

Dr. G is a great professor. He's very caring for his students and will do anything to help his students succeed. He made online learning more fun, especially with the Kahoot quizzes. It's helps us prepared for the exam and at the same time, have some fun on these difficult materials. His exam questions were fair as well.

I personally need a lot of interaction, and I felt I didn't miss a thing on this online course. Fair, clear, knows his subject.

I really enjoyed this class. The material is consistently interesting. I found that modules themselves weren't as helpful as the discussions and the actual research performed in completing the assignments(ty PubCHEM). I was worried I didn't have enough background knowledge going into this class, but this class was not super heavy chemistry.

The homework really helped pull the concepts from the modules together. The modules served as a guide, further reading and research was required to properly complete the homework. This approach is good for a more complete understanding of the material. Dr. Grundmann is very good at providing feedback and giving tips and advice in discussions.

I took Professor Grundmann's (Un)common Reads Addiction class and throughly enjoyed it! It did require a bit more work than I anticipated; however, I think it was still fair for a 1 credit reading course (as there would obviously be a bit of outside reading). Lectures were informative and interesting. Loved reading "Beautiful Boy"!

His class is hard but if you are putting in the effort, you will succeed in the class. He is wonderful in answering questions and the lectures cover everything you will be tested over. This class will require engagement in order to succeed. Also, I watched some YouTube videos in some of the topics that I needed explained a different way.

I really liked the fact that even though it was an online course, I could really and easily learn from it. The class material was nice and I like Canvas, everything is well organized. Questions were always answered. I liked it.

Make sure to pay attention in class. He gives in-class quizzes, which can have answers that are not specified in the PowerPoint but easy to know if you listen. Dr. G is engaging and always asks if anyone has questions.

Dr. Grundmann was such a cool professor. I took this class as a non STEM major and I was able to understand all the science behind drug addiction perfectly. There are weekly quizzes on the readings so read attentively. There is a final Voice Thread project where you have to connect material from the readings/lectures to a topic of your choice.

Professor G's teaching style is very communicative. Notes prepared by him for different modules gives very nice description of the topics without going through the lengthy book chapters. If any problem comes, directly contact him. Professor G is very prompt in replying/solving the issues. I am going to take other classes taught by him in future.

Dr Grundmann has a very broad and deep knowledge on pharmaceutical chemistry and is updated with new trends in the field. Course was an individual task but guidance provided on selected topic was key to focus on interesting aspects of the topic.

This is the 2nd class online with Dr. Grundmann. The cases he assigned help us to learn the concepts. Objectives match well his lectures. He provide the references and give us advise on how to get organize. I have never made an appointment with him but the few emails I sent him he replies promptly. I am looking forward to another class with him.

Dr. G is always available if needed and provided example tutorials for the complex software we'd be using in the future. The assignments help you obtain a better insight on the concepts within the modules. You have to do your own research in most instances to provide thorough explanations but that's to be expected in a masters course.

Professor Grundmann has a great set up for this online course! Lecture recordings were very helpful to understand the content for those that learn better by seeing a PPT presentation vs reading paragraphs. Quiz questions are based on the module content. Assignments required a lot of thorough research. Couple of discussion posts required.
