Great professor, understands if you have to miss a class for an emergency and doesn't hold it towards you later, he's very helpful. Just listen to his lectures and the few questions he gives and you'll pass for sure.

He is a good teacher. I like how he used personal stories and current events to help use understand each chapter. This made it easier to comphrend.

He is a great instructor and knows his stuff. Although some lectures may be a bit boring,he likes to make the class laugh. He understands when you can't make it to class and is willing to work with you if you miss a quiz or test. He does ask for a paper which is used as your presentation at the end of the semester. I highly would take him for GOVT!

His class is easy!!! All you have to do is make sure you show up a day in advanced for his quizzes and he tells you exactly what is on the test and the answers even right before quizzes and tests. Easy A!! He will tell you to read the chapters but he only discuss what you need to know. I only read the first chapter and I got a A in both classes.

EASY EASY...the hardest thing is his class is a 2 page paper.Test are easy most of the reviews before test giving all the answers. He does do flim quiz's but gives you the quiz will you watch the movie.

I had fun in his.He loves to add stories of his life into relation with Govt and how it applies.He reviews everything the test is on and lectures according to the syllubus.He allows you to go to his office for help if embarrassed for the shy ppl, I would definately take him again.

Mr. Jones is an excellent teacher. He covered everything for our government II class in detail; but only tested on the obvious things. It was easy enough that anyone who really tried could make an A, but it wasn't a blow off class.

He's pretty cool. Easy Notes, Easy Paper, Easy Journals due middle of semester. Easy Test. My class started at 8am and he would let us out at 815ish.. maybe 830...i don't remember stay the whole hour. He's kinda funny. Just read the Chapters and take notes

He was really easy. DON'T FORGET TO DO THE ESSAY. I got a B without doing it. I completely forgot. Class only lasts 15-20 min all the time. Class wasn't that mandatory. I'm aking him again next semester:)

very very easy teacher. just do the essay & journals and you'll be fine. you have to do them to get an A. you are in the class for 15-25 tops. i really really recommend. :]

If your looking for an easy A, Mr. Jones is your guy. We had lots of movie quizzes, which was just writing one page summaries on a movie. We had 20 min "lectures" and then be dismissed. Towards the end people just went to every other class and still passed with A's. The class was a joke.

Easy A. Purchase study guide and review it for tests. Lectures are short, note taking minimum. Had a couple of short film quizzes and one presentation on a person in history. I would take him again.

Lectures and tells jokes during class. No need to buy book just get the study guide to study. Take notes and you will do fine. Test is only true and false and you will watch a few films during class. Very easy going and funny teacher! RECOMMEND YOU TAKE HIM! We need more teachers like this!

This class is an easy A. His tests are over the questions on the study guide,just study it and you can pass the tests. he also gives a few film quizzes for an easy 100. downside is, he's superr boring and not interesting. I didn't learn much. Sometimes there was no point in even going to class because he would talk for 20mins then we would leave.

Amazing teacher! Passed his class with an A+! He tells you in his lectures what notes to write down. As long as you do that and study those notes, the class is so easy!

This class was very easy. Show up, take the notes that he tells you, & it's impossible not to pass. He only had a couple tests along w. a couple quizzes, but it's Very Simple! All questions are from the study guide. There is one presestation, but not nearly as difficult as it may sound at first. He's laid back, nice guy, EASY class. :)

Easy class. He tells you everything you need to know for the test and all you have to do is take the notes he tells you to. Very few quizzes and they are all very easy. Plus, the laugh he has is the funniest thing you will ever hear.

Class is easy if you study. Takes question right out of the study guide. Not really the class to take if you actually want to learn about government, but if you just need to get the credit I'd say take this class.

There is nothing difficult or mentally stimulating about this course. Made an A+. Do the extra credit assignment, study the study guide and notes, u should pass with flying colors. Would not take this class again 10. However, if you have a really busy life and don't have a lot of time to invest into your studies.... perfect; this is what you need.

Great teacher & the easiest class ever! few tests only true and false and multiple choice. Film quizzes that you take while watching the film. There is extra credit, which is super easy. Trust me if you want an easy A this is your professor!!

Mr. Jones was an awesome Professor. I honestly never took any notes in class, but I did however cram up some of the chapters before a quiz and I still would Ace them. I do recommend that you study, most of the questions are true or false. Mr. Jones does give extra credit, sometime he will let you double it up. Get prepared to have some movie days.

Mr Jones is an awesome teacher the class is super easy took him for both GOVT 2305 and 2306 There are only four tests and word for word from the study guides so its an Easy A he gives plenty of extra credit so there is always a way to pick up a low grade There are film quizzes but they are simple Take the class its super Easy and he really helps

I took Mr. Jones for Spring 2015 and he was wonderful. You can pass with an Easy A but that's if you pay attention to his lectures. He gives quizzes with 5 to 10 questions so do study for that. He requires the study guide and the book. But I copied the study guide and then returned it lol.

Professor Jones is the best Government teacher you will find in any of the Alamo Colleges, I failed his class for dumb reasons; i would never participate, i took the extra credit for granted and i missed class a lot so i missed a few pop quizzes. I plan on taking him again maybe next semester. This class is an easy A only a lazy person would fail.

Downfall, he's VERY UNORGANIZED does not follow syllabus, try not to miss class so much. Never know when he'll give out a test or quiz! :/

Mr Jones is a pretty nice professor. He doesn't give homework, maybe 1 paper in the course and he gives A LOT of extra credit so it's impossible to fail. He gives maybe 3 tests and all the questions are in the study guide which is mandatory to purchase. He makes the lectures fun by making jokes and relatable situations. Great professor.

Took 2016 summer session. He is a VERY easy A, but does go off topic for about 90% of the time. Class was 2 hours long, he "lectured" the first half, the second half was assigned for a group project that my group and I finished the first day of class, so we left an hour early. Repeats himself a lot but was too easy. Highly recommend.

Professor Jones is knowledgeable and caring man. Lectures are heavy but very informative on past and current government issues. Participation is key to your grade, grading is not too hard. I would definitely take him again!!

Took for Summer 1, show up to class and you pass. His quizzes and final was based on the study guide easy multiple choice or T/F questions plus 1 essay. Given an option to do extra credit. Easy A.

Oliver Jones has to be one of the easiest Professors ever! TAKE HIM! I'm a really lazy person and i still got an A for both of his classes. He gives out quizzes and test but if you buy the study guide, the questions come straight out of there! And he gives many extra credit opportunities! Took 5wk summer class and it was easy! He lectures but hes funny. He gets side tracked but course outline is spot on. Do as he says and use your class materials and no problems. Multiple choice tests and gives reviews on test material. Plenty of easy extra credit and shows movies.

Amazing professor! We would lecture for a good 30-45 minutes then he would into saying examples of the topic that happened in his own life. Really funny and lots of movie days and rarely any homework. Just make sure you read your textbook and go over the study guide . Test are just like guide, you can't fail. Make sure you participate.

Probably the easiest class ever. He will give you chapters to read to discyss in class, but recites the whole chapter in his lecture. Very little assignments, mainly lectures if you don't pass its because you didnt try.

You read on your own time, about a chapter every week. At zoom meetings, he gives lectures and asks questions. At the very start, he gave the class an assignment to interview someone affected by covid and then give a small speech. Definitely an easy class with low stress; however, you won't learn if you don't read and pay attention.

Loved this professor all we had to do was read the chapter and talk about it and the watch a movie about that chapter and we would right papers

I just finisher Mr. Jones federal government summer 1 class. He's a great teacher and this is a great class to take. His syllabus is on point so everything you need to know for this class is on there. Follow the syllabus, read the chapters, and participate in class and you will pass. If you fail this class it's because you didn't try.

This professor is cool, and go over the history/ government. Be sure to write down notes, and pay attention. He show historical movies and have a assignment that you just write down during the movie. He would go for the people who have spoken, so if you stay quite you won't be talk to.

Mr. Jones is a great professor and I took him in Summer Flex I and I don't regret taking him because his lectures are entertaining and always encourages student participation and gave a lot of students so many chances that I wouldn't be surprised if everyone finished his course and got an A. I highly recommend him.
