Professor is very good. He has a good sense of humor. But don't let his easy-going personality fool you: he'll unload a kick-ass test on you for sure.
Great teacher! Will not let you leave the class with unanswered questions. Great sense of humor. Great attitude. Great communicator, very easy to get a hold of. Great ways of making things clear. My vote for finance teacher of year.

He's a great guy he really helped me to understand the subject!
The material is not easy but he simplies it as best as he can and makes it much more understandable than the book. I have to say that he is one of the best professors that I have ever had. Plus some of his lame jokes actually made me laugh.
he is great. the class is hard as hell though...
you have to study but the tests are easy if you do and he drops you rlowest test also the quizes on blackboard are from the old quizes and exams which are also posted he is very willing to help you and answer anty question you might have he is a very nice guy
Great Professor and very approachable if you have questions.
Its not an easy class regardless of the teacher. But he helps make it where you can easily get a C if you put forth some effort, and a B if you pay attention, A's are for those who get all A's
Everyone raves about him - but I did not find him that great. Probably better than what is out there.
He's funny and articulate. His lessons are easy to understand. He provides extra credit. And on the later exams where there is a lot of formulas and such built up, he allows a cheat sheet that he provides with all of the formulas you could possibly need. He's upbeat. My first attempt at this class was W, with Oliver, I got a B. What a difference!
Great guy, in love with the subject; very funny, very helpfull; he can go on forever doing this stuff; will always answer your questions trying to help as much as he can; the material is difficult though, so you really have to invest time and effort. Lots of projects and opportunities to improve your score if you need to. Cool guy, but in his own w
Our whole class loves him. The material will be difficult with any teacher, but he tries to make it interesting, and he is very helpful. He is honestly one of the best teachers I have ever had. He is so excited about the subject as well.
This professor is very helpful. Although the material is demanding, his fun personality livens up the class.
Not all that great
It's easy. It's fun. And it's interesting. I just hate those group cases/projects- too many of them. Exams are good and fair. Excellent professor.
Makes a dry subject interesting and engaging. Always knows when to speed up or slow down or go over something again based on how the class is picking up the material. Projects help prepare for exams and are realistic. Exams are pretty tough, but not too hard.
Must go to class in order to pass! Its time consuming and demanding, however it's pretty interesting and you learn a lot. He's entertaining and knows how to keep the lecture good. He's always willing to help. A+ for him
this class was hard, especially the online quizzes. i wouldn't recommend taking it if you are taking 12 credits already because it can get time consuming.
Oliver is a great professoor. He is very enthusiastic about the subject material. The multiple choice questions on his exam are the most difficult. Just being able to work the problems will only get you a "C"
This is a very challenging class; if you want to get an A, you have to study your ass off...however, it is possible to get an A because I did.
This class is hard and YOU HAVE TO GO TO CLASS to pass. The professor is VERY helpful and responds fast to emails and makes time to meet with his students. Plus he knows when to go fast and when to go slow and makes the class as enternaining as he can.
Great professor, but difficult material. I work in finance and had to attend class and pay attention to keep up. He does a good job of explaining what is very difficult subject matter. Take him if you can, he provides quizes and exams from past courses to help you study.
Great teacher, cracks jokes in class and has a good attitude. Go to class, do the homework, practice his old quizzes and exams and you can make an A.
The class was by far the hardest class to me this semester. GO TO CLASS! His lectures help, but he goes kind of fast. The Breakouts with his assistant I found to be a lot more meaningful when learning the material for the course. Study the practice quizes and practice exams before his exams, they help.
Phenomenal professor for any of the classes he teaches. UNF is lucky to have him.
Pretty good teacher, sometimes funny.
Great teacher. Really helpful and personable. On the quizzes you'll always do well if you pull up the past tests and quizzes first b/c some of the questions are repeats. Tests are tricky, but not unfair. I got a B and never went to breakouts, so that part is up to you and how well you do without them.
Asset to UNF. Class wasn't that difficult. Dr. Schnuse does a great job of explaining concepts. He's very nice and has a great sense of humor. If you goto class and read the book (which does a great job reinforcing the lectures) you should do great. Breakouts are OK. If your having problems goto breakout, if not, then pass on it. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Awesome Prof! He makes a typically tough subject for non-finance majors somewhat easy and enjoyable. If you don't go to class, you will probably fall behind. One concept builds on another. His lectures are very organized and helpful. The breakouts are a waste of time if you know what you are doing. Take this class with Shnuse if possible!
Really nice guy. Tries to make the class as painless as possible, but it's pretty dry. I learned allot. Lots of online quizzes, but they help your final grade in the end. Not super easy, but very fair. He let's you drop a quiz grade and an exam grade. It doesn't get much better. Great professor.
I successfully passed this course with a lowly C, but in doing so, I had to quit my job, my girlfriend left me, my roommates evicted me, and I had to sell my car to pay for the $150 tome "Sausage Fingers" required for the course.
He tells alot of jokes to help entertain while he teaches. He's funny and he has a great teaching style that's very clear. He has alot of concern for his students. The breakouts are good to go to, but they're optional. He does everything step by step. Take him if you can! And yes the class is hard, you have to go to class.
Oliver was a good teacher, but unfortunately that will only help you so much when a class is so hard. By far the hardest class i have taken at UNF so far in 3 yrs. do the hw and go to class, dont worry about reading the book.
Professor Schnusenberg is amazing. He is one of the best professors I have ever had. He relates the subject to your everyday life. I didn't even try hard and my average was over 100...There are pleanty of chances for bonus! Definetly take this class...you will learn a lot!
Awesome Professor! He tries to make the class fun. He does a great job teaching. The material can be hard though. If you go to class(and breakouts), you should pass easily.
Behavoral Finance with this guy is awesome. This class with Oliver is the perfect Capstone class for the Finance program at UNF. He playfully flips world Finance on its head holds it by its feet the whole semester... After spending so much money on a Finance education you end up learning that "You can't beat the market so be the market"...awesome!!
One of the best teachers I've had. He's extremly organized. His lectures are well taught. He teaches from powerpoint but does lots of examples on the board as he goes along. Take advantage of the BB quizes. They are untimed and you can save and continue as many times as you want.
Great professor. Funny, goofy and very intertaining. A great guy. This is not a walk in the park class make sure you read.
This is a really tough class, but the professor explains thing well. test are taken from the pratice exams and quizes.
great teacher. one of the best at unf. material is tough but he explains it very well. goofy and funny at the same time. he knows finance and can apply it to everyday things. quizzes are online and test reflect quizzes and hw problems. final is over all prior quizzes, practice quizzes, and practice test.
He is entertaining and really wants you to understand the material. The class isn't really easy, but he makes every effort to review, and give you examples you can follow and helps anytime you need it. I got lost if I missed any of the classes.
Very funny guy, class is pretty chalenging but very easy if you attend EVERY class.......DO NOT MISS CLASS!!! Trust me, if you go to class, this class is NOT hard.....GO TO CLASS!!
Schnusenberg's class is relatively tough. You have to attend class as well as do an online quiz every week. For tests, study the practice ones on blackboard and read your book so you understand the theory. Thank god it was all multiple choice. Overall, he was my favorite teacher at UNF this semester.
Professor Schnusenburg is an awesome guy! He makes the material as painless as possible, because it is rather difficult. I couldn't imagine taking this class from anyone else!
this is not an easy class, but he makes it as passable as possiable. he gives you so much study material, if you dont pass its your own fault.
Great teacher! Most of test questions come right from the online quizes or online practice exams he gives (some are exactally the same). All is available in blackboard. Also, stadium class so attendance not required. Should attend though, at least it helps you learn the calculator...
Great teacher and very clear
Can be funny!
He appears to be a nice guy but his teaching style is poor. He thinks that all students are finance majors and he assumes that everyone understands what finance really is. He likes to put many theory questions on the exams which are very difficult to understand and solve even if you read the book. Reading is mandatory. The class is hard.
GREAT PROFESSOR, BUT THE CLASS IS A MONSTER!ITS SO HARD U CAN REPEAT IT AS MANY TIMES AS U NEED TO W/OUT GETTING KICKED OUT OUT OF YOUR MAJOR. THE CLASS HAS A HIGH REPEAT RATE. U HAVE TO ATTEND BREAK-OUTS, READ THE CHAPTERS, STUDY YOUR NOTES, 8 QUIZES (ON-LINE), POWERPOINT, AND HW. 2 WORDS OF ADVISE "STUDY HARD" IF U WANT TO GET A DECENT GRADE.
this professor is awesome. he will work with you on any problem that you may have. he is extremely knowledgable and well skilled. he is very organized and straight forward. YOU MUST GO TO CLASS just cause the course work is difficult. i never attended the breakouts and still got an A. i will definitely take him again if i get the opportunity.
Dr S is one of the best professors at UNF. The courses he teaches are difficult, but he provides clear power points, practice quizzes, practice tests, and any help you ask for. His clarity is flawless, and his love of finance comes through in his instruction. Take any class he teaches and get prepared to actually learn something meaningful.
Schnusenberg is a pretty good professor, he just happens to teach a pretty difficult subject. As long as you attend the breakouts, go to class and do the problems, you should be fine. I also found that studying the practice exams and quizzes were very helpful as well. Beware b/c he can be a little impatient. Have fun, I am so glad I am done.
Financial Management is a hard course anyway. So you have to study there is no way around it.But if you study the practice tests and quizzes repeatedly you will do fine.
good teacher but you must go to class. study the sample exams and sample quizzes and that is all you need to get a B. know how to use the calculator.
Very difficult subject, but excellent professor. Go to class - do the homework, and you will easily make a B
AWESOME teacher! He really knows his stuff! Very helpful if needed. Def. a complicated class but as long as you go to class and DEF. STUDY PRACTICE QUIZZES AND EXAMS, you'll make at least a B. Tests are a bit tricky, but all around fun and interesting class. He makes you laugh also!
Best professor in the business college. He explains all the equations so they make sense, he also provides them for the tests. Tests are not tricky, work the practice exam and do some problems from the book and it's easy to make an A. There are also the breakout sessions for extra help, attendance not mandatory.
This guy is excellent! He is one of the BEST professors at UNF! I would take every class that he offered!! Makes class fun and easy to learn. Overall a really great guy and professor.
He is a very good professor, great since of humor, and the breakout sessions are very informative. Although he is the only professor to teach Financial Mgt., he is the best. Attendance is to your advantage, but not necessary.
Oliver is the best accounting teacher you could ever have. He is very clear in how to work out problems shows you both on the calc. and without. He is the only teacher that teaches finman., but he knows what he is talking about. Take him you wont regret it!!
The BEST teacher I had at UNF so far!
Great Professor. The class is a little bit hard but he explains everything and he actually teaches unlike other teachers at UNF. The breakouts with his assistant are really helpful.
Oliver is an excellent teacher. He takes challenging material and breaks it down so that each level of student can understand. He is an oustanding educator!
Dr Schnusenberg is a great professor and cares about his students learning the subject. He makes the class fun. Do all of the homework and take notes in class to get an A.
Great Professor with a great sense of humor!! Finance is pretty boring but he keeps you laughing. Easy A if you do all of his practice quizes and tests!
AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME. He is SO funny and i HAD to learn in his class to pass. You GOTTA study, but you will learn. HE ROCKS!
Fin Man-good teacher..humorous..keeps class lively..doesn't take attendance but you should go-otherwise you fall behind..unless you understand the theories very well.Do all the EASY quizzes and study for the exams..you'll do great
Very good professor. Makes things understandable. Do the practice quizzes and tests and you'll be fine.
it is easy just have to take good notes and pay attention. EVERYTHING comes from test banks which you can find on google. While doing the quizes, google some of the questions and get the test bank and study from that for the test which is usually the same thing. Much better teacher than that Adams guy
This guy is the great. This class is extremely difficult regardless of whos teaching but he gives you everything you need and more to succeed. Do the practice exams/quizzes and the problems in the syllabus. There is no reason to get less than a B.
Great teacher!!! He is the best teacher in the Coggin School of Business!!!
Professor Schnusenberg was so helpful. Anytime I had a question, I could go to his office hours and he would always take the time to explain a concept and help me out. You must put forth effort to get a decent grade, it is not an easy A. Take this class with him, you will not regret it!
Very good professor, i highly recommend him. Do your work and study some and you should do fine. He tries his best to make this class fun. Best professor ever.
Took Financial Management with him twice. Failed the first time. A- the second time. If your not a master of the Financial Calculator, I would strongly suggest attending class.
HE IS AMAZING!
Great professor, always recommended. Not a gimme A but you will learn more in his classes than most others.
Awesome teacher, tough subject. 4 in class exams, 8 online quizzes. Go to class, you'll make an A. Otherwise it is hard if you're not strong in math. Chapters build on each other, need to actually learn not memorize in order to pass.
This class is hard unless you are a mathematical wiz. The teacher isn't hard, but rather the subject material itself is. I have 2 weeks left in this class and right now I have a C+. He's good and really knows his stuff. Jokes are so corny to the point where you can't help, but laugh at them. Go to class and breakouts or you will not pass for sure!!
Overall interesting class - but I was disappointed in the # of times it was cancelled for one reason or another (I believe it was at least 4 classes). Did not adjust requirements accordingly; rather kept moving forward and expected students to adhere to the syllabus, which I found unfair, even though I did well in the class.
Dr. Schnusenberg is extremely nice and very funny. The material is hard. It was definitely a challenge. However, if you read the chapters (he tells you to right up front), do the homework problems (which don't have to be turned in but will help you a great deal) and attend the breakouts (the breakouts can make or break you), you can do well.
I took this class my first semester and FAILED! I went to class and breakouts except about 2 times (seemed I missed the ones I needed). The professor was fast-paced in teaching. I hope to pass this time since he is the onyl teacher that teaches this class the times that I can attend.
This class is pretty hard so you must attend class, I pulled a C in the class due to missing a day or 2 because I was i'll and fell behind. The teacher does a good job at teaching just the material is hard go to the break outs and study and you should be fine.
Great Guy, really cares about the students. he is almost to smart for his own good when he writes out problems in long form. Go to class, make sure to take all the quiz's and Study. the tests can be very difficult after test 1. you will spend alot of time studying, but he gives you all the resources.
Awesome guy, really nice and knows his stuff. His test's can be a little hard but as long as you study you'll be fine. Great guy
VERY hard class. Seven quizzes, three tests. Last test is cumulative. Umm, I studied for 15 hrs before test one and got a 94. I studied for 6 hrs before test 2 and got a 63! We will see how this plays out. You have to HAVE TIME to take this class. Roughly 10 hours a week to study...I kid you not.
This class is challenging to some. BUT you have to put the time in & you WILL pass. He gives a lot of resources to help you, sample tests and quizzes from EACH chapter. He also post the solutions to the end of the chapter questions for EACH chapter. SO use your resources and you will do fine... PROPER PREPERATION PREVENTS POOR PERFORMANCE
The teacher is not hard--the material can be. He gives you numerous resources, and he tries to help.
Love this professor! While the material can be difficult, he gives numerous examples, study guides, etc. His class is always fun and interesting. He keeps you interested and wants you to do well. GO TO THE BREAKOUTS...they help!
Online quizzes and three exams make up grade. Can be fun and keeps attention during rather dry lectures. Do all practice avaliable on BB and go to breakouts and you'll be fine! I would recommend him for anyone!
Great guy! The class is good, and as long as you go to the breakouts you'll be fine. Highly recommended.
Great professor - highly recommend!
Best professor I have ever had. Funny and very up todate with his financial news. Study his sample exams and quizzes and you will do great. Quizes can be easy to miss because he makes them due at 8 PM instead of midnight.
You don't have to attend class but I highly recommend it. Book useful for practice. Definitely buy or borrow the calculator, most problems are impossible without it. Gives plenty of practice, the exam questions look EXACTLY like the samples he gives. Grades based on tests and quizzes only, he drops the lowest. Stay on top of the work, can't fail
Great Instructor!! Really patient, helpful and caring. Most organized class I have ever taken!!
Prof Oliver is awesome! He post sample exams online and tests are not surprise if you practice the test. The BAII would be your best friend!
Really cool teacher. Makes funny jokes and tells good stories. Reallllllly hard class. Go to break outs and pay attention in class. He moves kind of quick but the breakout is good for questions. Online quizzes and 4 exams. One gets dropped. STUDY! And use his office hours.
I never went to class and have an A+ as of now. Time I went to class was great, this guys is very enjoyable to learn from, seats sucked though. If it weren't for the online part I would have had to come to each class. thank god for that. 8 quizzes(online), 1 gets dropped. 4 tests and a final. I'm not a finance major and this class was easy.
GREAT CLASS! at first i was really nervous about taking this class, but he made it interesting and very informative. Attendance is not mandatory, but it makes it so much easier to understand if you attend! 4 exams and a final (cumulative). exam questions are similar to hw problems and practices quizzes on connect. TAKE THIS CLASS! :)
This class was pretty easy for me. Attendance isn't mandatory, but it helps alot because he shows you easier ways to work the problems. I never went to any breakout sessions and got a B. He drops the lowest test and quiz grade. Final covers the practice quizzes. Do the problems on connect and you should be fine. He's pretty funny too.
Awsome Professor! Class was very interesting. 4 tests and a final and he drops your lowest test grade. 8 quizzes he counts your best 7. Clas was not to hard just work on the online practice quizzes and you will do just fine. I would deff recommend this class to anyone.
Class was very easy for me. Professor is great and engaging, but I only went to class a few times the entire semester and ended with an A. Using the textbook and online source as practice you can essential teach yourself. The tests are very similar to the practice. I would recommend going to class for most, but not going is doable if you understand
He is a great professor. He jokes in class and his lectures are very helpful. I went to every lecture and didn't need to read the book. But I did do all of the homework several times before each test. There are three tests and a weekly quiz. If you go to class every day and do the homework you'll do fine. I didn't go to one breakout session.
He is a great professor. Go to class, he explains problems very well. Its easy to skip his class but if you want an A go to class. Also do all practice sets and quizes...they are very helpful.
Truly a wonderful professor. He actually wants to help his students understand the material showing them step by step and different methods to use for every problem. Go to class and you should have no problem passing. Patient, funny, and cool guy!
Schnuse is ok. He is very nice and good a teaching, but not great at explaining all topics. Easy course as long as you study your definitions and memorize how to do the connect problems. A's are easy to get
Attendance is not mandatory, but you'll actually want to go because Schnusenberg makes it fun. The material is not hard. Just read the book and do the practice exercises before exams. Easy A if you just put in a little time. Unfortunately I had one not so stellar exam and missed mine by a percentage of a point. Overall, a great teacher.
He gives lots of practice material with answers & explanations on-line. PwrPnts are all uploaded as well. Exams questions are multi-choice and to the point. Typically grades are uploaded in the evening of the exam day. Funny and Very Knowledgeable as well!
Schnusee rocks. He truly cares about the students' success, which is rare. I asked a few dumb questions and he was very patient and helpful. Your grade is based on 3 of 4 exams plus the final. I highly recommend him. Good luck!
Hard Course. Nice professor. Studying hard. I'm doing all practice and Blackboard quizzes, But only have a 73 average. Have 2 more test and a Final. Will have to put in more time. I'm putting in 5 hours a week, but will need to up it to 10 hours in this course.
The class is hard, but Schnusenberg is funny, energetic and willing to help. Read the textbook, go to class, and go to the breakouts--yes, really.
Professor is funny, pleasant and nice, but course material is hard. Attend breakouts and work all book and practice problems before taking any tests.
Good professor. It is a challenging class but he explains it well. The TA, Pat K is the bees knees too. That kid will teach you everything you have to know in a way that is easy to understand.
Schnusee is a great professor that wants his students to succeed. He has a fanatic interest in the subject and he knows it well. I took the summer 6 week course which moved rapidly, attendance isn't mandatory but if you don't go you'll fail as the subject material is difficult. He provides plenty of study material and sample questions.
Schnusenberg does a great job covering the material while making it easy to follow. Learning comes from the powerpoints. Practicing comes from ch hw and then ch sample questions and sample exams. Going to the breakouts each week is essential and sometimes a exam question is covered. There are many a week so its easy to go to different ones.
Professor Schnusenberg was the absolute best! He posts all sample exams and problems on blackboard, just study those and you'll do fine. He is funny, but too smart to explain something in "easy terms". I learned more in breakout sessions than the actual class.
Cool dude. Extreamly smart. Handles a 200 person class well. Grades test the day of which is awesome. Typical finance class; finance and accounting majors think it is easy, and the marketing, TLS, Business majors think its tough. Go to class and use formulas. 4 test, drop 1, then cumulative final.
This class is very straight-foward. 4 tests (you drop one), and a cumulative final. If you do the practice problems and sample exams, you'll do just fine. He even gives you the percentages you would need on the final to get a C, B, A etc. I didn't go to the class, or the breakout sessions, since I learn better at home, and I'm getting a B.
There were 5 tests, he drops the lowest grade, Final Exam is mandatory and cannot be dropped. If you don't understand the material during lecture, there are numerous breakout sessions with his TA (Patrick) who's just as knowledgeable. Lectures can be intense but Oliver gives you so many resources to TAKE ADVANTAGE OF, which I didn't. Great prof!
Dr. Schnusenberg is a stellar instructor. He provides plenty of example problems and questions to prepare you for the exam. However, if you do not study hard you will fail. I rated the easiness as a 2 because of the course and not the instructor, he doesn't make it any harder than it needs to be.
I would love to take another class with this professor. He keeps the class entertained during the long 3 hour class. Test were short but not to challenging. Definitely would recommend taking this class with this professor.
Great professor. Very funny guy and easy to understand. The material is a bit dry and hard, but he is glad to repeat anything you need.
Had to take him twice, DO NOT take Fin Mgmt in the summer. Fall wasn't too bad. Get ready to study. Not a bad professor, but then again he's the only one who teaches this course. Good luck!
Awesome teacher. This is no doubt a hard class. Work through the practice problems and make sure you understand the concepts he goes over in class. I skipped class a lot and struggled to keep up.
Dr. Schnusenberg is a excellent instructor. He provides plenty of examples in class. However, if you do not study hard you will fail. Read the chapters, do the problems in the book, sample problems and sample exam. You will do fine. But you will need to do this in order to do well. Exams 33 to 38 problems, 1:40 to 2 hrs long. No homework.
Dnt miss any lectures and attend as many breakouts as you can. The key to doing good in this class is practice! He goes over all the material in class, does several examples, knows the material very well and you can tell he enjoys it. He provides a sample exam and sample questions for each exam. There are 4 exams and 1 cumulative final
Just go to class. I went to the first week and literally threw up while studying for the final! 5 exams, drop 1 but not the final. Gives extra credit worth .75% of your grade. Do the practice problems and exams. Almost exactly the same as the exam. The final is nowhere as hard as people will tell you it isI had a 69 avg and the final saved me!!
He is an awsome professor. If you need to take this class, take it during summer. I heard it is much easier and has no final accumulative test.
Both quirky and funny. Attendance isn't necessary, but he will show you how to do some calculations on the calculator that don't show up in the power points (making the class easier). Don't skimp on the calculator. Get the BAII Plus Professional because it has more functions than others. 4 exams (lowest dropped), comprehensive final.
As long as you're a good studier and are okay with reading the book, I don't see why you couldn't get an A. There's absolutely no reason to come to class bc the powerpoints are online. He gives a ton of study material so you'll be super prepared for tests. All of the tests, especially the final, have TONS of stuff on bb that will help you prepare.
Great Professor but the course material is hard. Doesn't matter which semester you take this class you have to put the work in. The keys to passing this class are: Go to class/breakouts, read the chapters and PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE. If you do these 3 things you will pass. He provides sample problems and exams on Canvas for you to study.
If I had to compare this class to a TV show it would be game of thrones because midway through the course, half of the class is gone and the other half is sobbing on the floor holding the tattered remains of their GPAs. That being said there is no other professor I would rather have taken this class with.
Syllabus- 10/10 Lectures- 10/10 Online Resources 10/10 Background: Summer semester, full time student, and full time employee. 3 exams worth 33.3% of your grade. Class gets harder as it progresses. Skipped every class but read every chap and used the practice tests to prepare for exam. Loved the material so much I decided to pursue as professi
Took over summer (6 weeks). Class was graded on 3 tests. Multiple chapters per test. The Schnuse knows his stuff. Go to class and you'll mostly enjoy it. Have good study habits and read well you should take the summer class as its passable. if not stick to a full semester. Test are time consuming with a lot of calculation but not extremely hard.
Tough class but don't psyche yourself out. He knowledgeable and very funny, makes a very difficult class much easier to pass. Posts PPT's, practice exams and practice homework online. DO THE PRACTICE HOMEWORK ASSIGNMENTS. You'll struggle if you don't. I skipped class ALOT and still made an A, just make sure you study. Ideal summer class.
Professor Schnusenberg is very helpful. He also promotes his Financial Service Major and is readily available during office hours. He wants to see his students succeed and offers many Networking and Mentorship programs to help people succeed after graduation. He also sponsors the on campus Financial Planning Association.
Professor Schnusenberg always explained things clearly and was there to help. His lectures were very helpful and he even made jokes during them to lighten up the mood. It is really important to study the questions he provides along with the textbook questions because they prepare you for exams. Overall, loved his class even though it was finance.
Before anyone comments. Is it important or necessary to know accounting and economics? I took it a long time ago and forgot most of the material. Thank you!
one of my favorite professors at UNF, knows his stuff and explains everything clearly. Just do the hw and youll be fine. wouldnt take it with anyone else if i had the chance
Great professor, answers your questions. 4 exams drops your lowest score 1 final. His exams are 30 question so your change to make a mistake are slim. Study the conceptual!!!
Dr. Schnusenberg is probably my favorite professor I've ever had. The class is difficult, and you've gotta work for it. But, his lectures are great, he goes over examples that prep you for the exams, and he's super accessible outside of class. He won't hand it to you on a silver platter, but he'll do what he can to help you succeed!
Great professor, you can tell he loves what he does. The work can be difficult at times but his lectures and study sessions held before exams were really helpful. I highly recommend this professor.
Best professor I have had so far. Material is easy if you pay attention during lectures or study the chapter at home. Most questions are based off of your skills in solving the numeral examples, but there are still some based on concept. Because I did not study conceptual I received a B. This class is an easy A with studying both.
Awesome teacher, extremely nice The class it's self is not difficult but has some large conceptual ideas that are explained by simple math equations done on a calculator. He explains the concepts well and shows the math in a simple way. All questions on exams are multiple choice and it is fairly easy to pass. Definitely go to exam study sessions.
One of my favorite teachers because he's funny and very passionate in what he teaches. Some of the topics are hard but he teaches them in a way that we understand and has shortcuts. Very clear on grading criteria. On tests, just be careful be he has conceptual questions that are sometimes worded weirdly , but you just have to think about it.
Schnusy Schnooz is my favorite professor I've ever had. He's like a funny German dad who's super patient, knowledgeable, and respects you if you just do the work and show up. Go to the reviews and you'll get a 100 on every exam. The whole class is basically "how to use a calculator" if you just pay attention. All of his other courses are 10/10 too
Homework is not graded. Graded by tests and final only. Plan to go to the weekly reviews if you want to grasp the material. The professor is very nice, patient, and knows his stuff. Study conceptual for exams. Exams are multiple choice, but a,b,c,d,e. Some questions have answer E, being "none of the above" and D, being "a and b are correct."
I respect this professor even though the class is tough and my grade is just average. The material is difficult, but he does give you all the tools including group study and weekly tutor sessions. This is not a class you can put on the back-burner, you have to continually work to understand the concepts. Very nice professor who knows his stuff.
Amazing lectures. Go to class and you will pass. Four exams and a final, but he drops the lowest grade.
Took the first time and had to withdraw. (I slacked, hard) Lectures were rough, but he taught you everything you needed to know. 4 exams and final. Grades the best 3 of the 4. Has reviews before each test. Very easy going guy and respects his class and what he does. Took him again and got an A. Just a little thanks to Covid-19.
One of the best professors I have taken. If you have the chance to take him--DO IT. Read the book, take notes, DO THE PRACTICE PROBS AND EXAMS and you are sure to succeed. He is very accessible outside of class. Never took more than an hour to respond to a Canvas message. The grade is 2 exams and he does offer some extra credit. GREAT PROFESSOR.
I took this professor during Covid and he was amazing. He made a subject hard to learn online VERY easy. You definitely have to watch every video posted and take notes to teach yourself the new concepts. He offered extra credit, as it is a hard class to learn online, but as long as you study he has tons of resources. No need for book.
I took this class via remote instruction during the COVID pandemic. He is an excellent professor that explains complex subjects and provides tons of resources. I loved his class. For this semester, I never used the book, he posted all of the chapter problems online and he gives several chances for extra credit.
By far the best professor Ive had at UNF. Very easy to approach and work with. It is a hard class but his lectures are very thorough and I could not recommend taking him enough!
The best Professor at Coggin. His teaching style is very clear and he articulates hard topics very easily. If you want an A, READ THE BOOK. It is great to have in addition to his lectures. It helped me more with the conceptual aspects of the exams. Overall would recommend Professor Schnusenberg.
Had this course during COVID- so it was 100% online, which I was nervous about. Grade based off of 4 exams. However, he provided sooo many incredible resources and AMAZING lectures you could re watch. Take advantage of the practice videos and exams. He is here to help. One of the best professors I have ever had!! Really great.
Make sure you get professional calculator that he reccommends. Well worth it- does most of work for you. LOTS of study videos/resources that are beneficial. He is incredibly helpful and straightforward. 100% one of the best professors at UNF. Great sense of humor and willing to help whenever needed.
Although this class was online, this professor went out of his way to make sure we were provided with all the information we needed to succeed in the class. Put the work in and you'll do just fine! He is also quite funny and prerecorded lectures were fun to watch. I'd love to take him again in person if I can.
Schnusenburg knows his stuff. Fin mgmt is a great class. You'll learn how to use a financial calculator which is how you ace all the exams. The class is challenging but if you attend/watch his exam review sessions and go to the tutoring sessions, you can get an easy B. 3 exams and a final. No homework
Amazing professor. This class consists of 3 papers (2 pages max each) easy and interesting topics, 5 quizzes (very similar to the review he provides), and a 11 page max group project, which seems like a lot, but split up between 4 people it is very doable. I would highly recommend taking this class. Easy A if you do all the work.
Dr. Schnusenberg is an amazing professor who really gives you everything you need to succeed in the course. I took this class online, and all the lectures are recorded and easy to understand. Very helpful and always willing to assist on problems outside of class.
Professor Schnusenberg will give you all the material to succeed in the course. I took this class twice because I was studying a day before the exam, and I learned the hard way you have to study a lot and watch all the videos he posts. Take your time to learn how to use the calculator, as you will keep using it for other FIN classes down the road.
Such an amazing professor, REALLY enjoyed this class even though it was one of the harder ones in my program. It can get challenging with schnusenberg gives you all the right tools you need to do well. Really awesome professor and keeps things interesting, wish I had him in person rather than online! 10/10
Really great teacher who cares about his students. It is not a super easy class, but he gives you everything you need to be successful. Study his practice questions multiple times and you should do great.
Prof. Schnusenberg is one of the best professors I've ever had. He makes studying so incredibly easy by providing practice problems that are taken directly from the exams just with different numbers. Yes, you do still need to study, but he gives you everything you need and more to pass. I finished with a 101%, this is not a class to be scared of.
Graded only by 4 exams and some extra credit. Lectures are entertaining and very helpful. Exams are very easy as long as you take time to watch lectures and do sample problems. Would definitely recommend!
Professor Schnusenberg is an absolute gem. He really cares about his students and gives you all the tools you need to succeed. Your grade is based on 4 exams and extra credit. He explains things very clearly in his lecture videos and hes not afraid to spit dad jokes. Would definitely take this professor again I wish he was my friend
I took Schnusenberg for online financial management. Clear, articulate, and well organized, and so is his class. He's funny just like his last name. Expectations are clearly defined and easy to understand. If he's an option for one of your classes, its the better option.
The course is poorly organized, the student instructors are awful, they schedule sessions around their time, and cancel whenever they want, leaving you unprepared for the exams. The proctoring service stinks, a big distraction, it has to take a picture of your face, license, and records your surroundings, causing you to lose focus during the exam.
I took the course online & it isn't an easy course, but Schnusenberg provides you with everything you need to do well. He gives videos on basically everything, & test questions are very similar to the practice tests. If you watch all the videos given, it will make it much easier. Assignments consist of 4 tests & an extra credit assignment.
Professor Schnusenberg is by far the BEST professor that I have had at UNF. He is witty and keeps the vibe in the class at a high 10. He explains things so well and makes the class pretty easy but of course, you have to read the book in order to complete the quizzes every couple of weeks. Other than that, the class is a breeze and fun to be in!
I loved Professor S! He gives you everything you need to pass this class. Although you really do have to put in a lot of work to pass. His lectures are very clear and gives a sample exam with questions that are based on the actual exams. Also a very funny guy and great to know. Honestly gunna miss him as a professor.
This Professor is the best at UNF! I cannot stress enough how amazing he is. He provides you with all the material needed for each test. I am not a finance major but this class was very interesting and easy once you learn the concepts. I encourage you to study spreadsheet over again and again to get a passing grade. You will have to work for it.
This was an amazing class. It is not easy by any means, but if you watch his lectures and put effort in, you will succeed. He gives you everything that you need to pass and then some. I took an accelerated 6-week class and I was able to pass the exams with flying colors. I would take him again, for sure!
Best Professor at UNF tied with GOAT-tlieb. Funny and is able to communicate the information in a relatable way even though he's way smarter than us. 10/10 recommend Schnu
Professor Schnusenberg is a great professor and person! His online lectures are very helpful, he knows about what he is talking about. He has everything planned on syllabus, so just follow what he assigns for each week and you should be fine. I would take him again 100%! You have 4 exams and 7 quizzes, quizzes are open book and exams are honorlock.
Dr. Schnusenberg is very easy going. One of the best finance professors at UNF. Both his financial management and behavior are good and interesting class.
He is a wonderful human being; who captivates and endears himself to all of his students, through his humor and kindness. Incredibly knowledgable and the possesses all of the hallmarks of a professor who actively enriches the academic experiences of his students.
Professor Schnusenberg is a great Professor who really cares about his students and sets them up for success. You are given everything you need to be successful in this course. Do the practice problems several times over and study the conceptual concepts before exams and you will do very well.
This is very hard course so be ready to put in a lot of work but in saying that the professor does an amazing job teaching it and setting up the course for you to succeed. He gives you a lot of tools to help learn the subject and I would definitely take him again.
A little insight into the course, your grade is based on 4 major exams and 8 quizzes, there is also a really easy extra credit opportunity (boosts your grade by 5%). If you're looking to pass with an A practice his conceptual and computational questions, same questions different numbers on the exam. Overall great professor, much respect for him.
There is so much information available on the canvas for this course, which makes it easy to study for the exams. The lectures were amazing, Professor Schnusenberg is probably the most entertaining professor I've taken at UNF so far.
Amazing class. I took a DL summer class. 3 quizzes, 3 exams, 1 EC project worth 5% of grade. Material was somewhat difficult (math heavy) but he explained everything very clearly. Hardest was exam 2. He provides lots of study materials.
I'm taking this class right now and he is the best professor I've had. He makes the lectures so easy to follow, hes funny and is always happy. Super organized, everything is in Canvas. He provides practice problems and videos explaining those problems, exam study guides, summaries of the chapters. The class is not easy, so practice at home.
Professor Schnusenberg is a great teacher. I had a great time during his lectures as he made the content and experience enjoyable. Highly recommend to take in person.
Dr. Schnusenberg is by far one of my favorite finance professors. He made learning difficult financial topics fun and interesting! The concepts can be confusing at first but his passion for helping students understand makes the class so much easier. There are 4 exams and several quizzes and extra credit offered at the end. Highly recommend.
Great class. Took in person and loved it. The professor is very funny and makes the class enjoyable. 7 quizzes and 4 exams so study and you should be fine.
I took his distance learning course for FIN 3403 and I definitely learned so much this semester. His instruction is super thorough and the quality of information is the best over all my classes for Fall 2023. All of the tests are based on the dynamic spreadsheet and he just inputs different values. Don't hesitate. He's the best of the best!
Professor Schnusenberg is a phenomenal professor. The class was structured very well and there are plenty of resources within the Canvas shell to succeed. There is a very easy extra credit assignment as well.
Nice guy, good lectures. Must buy the correct calculator or you'll have a hard time. Difficult content. Offered 5% extra credit for doing a 6 hour certificate (free) that can be largely skipped through (2.5 hours).
Best professor at UNF hands down! I'm sad I can't take anymore classes with Dr. Schnusenberg. I never thought I'd be interested in Finance until I took his class. It makes me want to switch majors lol!
Great class. Took as a 6 week class so there was a lot to do in a short time. There are 3 quizzes and 3 projects, with one being a group project. As long as you do the work, you should pass.
He was extremely clear about his expectations with this course making it easy to follow along and does a great job explaining complicated topics so students can understand WHY, not just HOW. He was pretty funny and it made the course engaging despite it being online. His canvas page was organized and the dynamic spreadsheet allows you to practice.
Professor Schnusenberg makes this finance class engaging and accessible. The dynamic spreadsheets and Unstuck study helped me master the concepts. Definitely take this course if you want to enjoy finance!
