Dr. Edenfield is an awesome teacher. She goes out of her way to make herself available to students. You will learn a great deal, without always being stressed to the max. SHe incorporates activities that are new and interesting and is not monotonous.

One of the best teachers I have had. Will bend over backwards to help you. She is very passionate about what she does. I hate writing, but she got me through this class.

The papers had loose deadlines, no points for it being late if you talked to her about it. You could revise your paper to get a better grade as many times as you want.

One of the best teachers I have ever had. Tests are VERY hard, even after re-reading the material and pouring over my notes I barely passed. She really knows her stuff and is eager to help you if you ever have a question or need help understanding something. I hope to take her again before I graduate, if she teaches something I need.

She is really passionate about her teaching, it is quite obvious from lecture. She is very helpful and pretty much spoon-feeds you what she wants on her tests, which are essay-like. But don't let that alarm you, she's fairly easy if you attend class everyday and take notes.

I loved Dr. Edenfield's class. She is so passionate about what she teaches and about life. I've learned so much from her, and I've already registered to take two more of her classes. She is a very sweet, kind person. You will not regret taking her class. And papers are NOT judged by thickness at all. Usually they only have to be two pages long.

Dr. Edenfield was an amazing professor. She took over my American Lit course when my previous professor was let go. I'm not going to lie, Edenfield is HARD, she wants you to know everything she tells you, but I have never learned more from a teacher, especially in just 2 months of course work. I'm taking 3 more of her classes this Spring and Summer

AMAZING TEACHER! She is not the easiest but in a way she makes it easy. There is a lot of reading but she makes it so that you are able to understand. Everything you talk about in class will be on the exam! She reads what she wants on the test from a rubric that helps a lot! She is very helpful and understanding! I would recommend her for anyone!

I had Edenfield for American Lit. and she was great! You have to go to class because she gives you quizzes over what you have read but as long as you read and keep up you will do very well. She cares alot about her students and will help you out anyway she can! Highly reccommended.

Took her for World Lit II, she's easily one of my favorite teachers ever. The tests are very easy if you go to class and do most of the reading. She loves the class and loves her students. She will never surprise you on a test and will always keep your interest in class. Highly recommended

I really liked Dr. Edenfield's class. It was easy and fun and the class was rolling on a constant basis. We did, however, work in groups everday but the assignments were easy and quick so we were able to leave early basically everyday. She does require you to read over whatever she assigns for the night as the next day's activity reflects it.

I have had Dr. Edenfield for IDS and World Lit now. Extremely nice, extremely helpful, and she always emphasizes important points in her lecture. If you read, take a few notes when things are stressed, and look over your notes before the test, there is no reason why you shouldn't get a good grade. Take her.

What a nice and helpfull lady! she is very down to Earth and is always willing to go over and beyond to help you! Quiz just about everyday over reading but sometimes she gives you the answers for the next quiz the class before. Take her, she's a keeper!

Easiest teacher I have ever had. I hate literature, but she made me actually like it. You have 5 question quizzes everyday but they're easy over what you read the night before. You have reading assignments every night but they are easy to read and are only like 2-5 pages. Would recommend her to everyone!!

Best professor I've ever had. I had it everyday for the first half of the semester. Quizzes everyday but just read what you need to read prior to class and you will pass all of them. If you take good notes then the tests are easy A's. You have one paper to write but it is as a group. I would definitely recommend this class in a heart beat.

Dr. Olivia Carr Edenfield is one of the best -- if not THE best -- professors in Department of Literature and Philosophy at Georgia Southern University. I have taken 4 of her courses thus far, and I will be taking another next semester. She is always willing to help her students, and she pushes them to realize their potential as a critical writers.

She's funny, genuine and loves her work! Although some of the readings were difficult, they were crystal clear after she discussed them in class. I took the section of her class that was 5 days a week, so it got done around the time of midterms. We did have a good amount of reading, but I think that was mostly due to the condensed time frame.

I've never liked English classes but I would so strongly recommend this professor. If you go to class and pay attention, there's no way you could fail. She explains everything so thoroughly. Tests are hard but she covers everything that will be on them. Overall an easy A. TAKE THIS PROFESSOR, she's amazing.

TAKE HER! Mrs. Edenfield is the realest and nicest professor and I'm glad I took her class. Since her class meets Mon-Fri you need to show up everyday and commit yourself cause she gives quizzes at random sometimes everyday. She gives a lot of extra credit and goes over every question for the test while lecturing so write down EVERYTHING she says!

Take her condensed MTWTF class and its only half a semester, make sure you read before each class to pass the quizzes.

You have to read every night, but she assigns good stories. She really loves what she does and gets really into it when lecturing. Random quizzes over reading material, so go to class every day. By far the best literature teacher I've ever had. I would highly recommend her.

Amazing professor. Took her for the 'Change' course. Not a lot of outside work other than the fact you have to read a short story each week for about four weeks. She's eager to help and wants you to do the best you can. She has a "pop quiz" over the short story you were supposed to read. 10/10 would recommend.

Class meets every day but is over in October which is nice. Super sweet lady. She will help you out. Go to class and you will make an A.

Professor Edenfield is a wonderful professor that really does care about you and your choices as a freshman. She is very straight forward with her expectations from the start. She will give you a quiz over the reading that you were supposed to do for homework the day that it is due in class. Overall she was great! I plan on taking her again!

If you can take Professor Edenfield, take her!! She is literally the most caring, wonderful teacher ever! I was in her ENGL2112 class that met everyday and if some of the class had other tests on her test days, she would give us the option to chose the day better for us to come in. We read everyday and had quizzes but she made it easy to get an A!

Great teacher, even if you don't read the assignment you will understand the subject because she is really good at explaining (however, you should read at least summaries for the quizzes). She loves what she does so the class is very interesting, although it is a condensed class so it is every day. Definitely time consuming but worth it.

(Summer Class, 2017) Dr. Edenfield was an AMAZING professor, in my opinion. Everything she taught was easy to digest, because she works very hard to MAKE it easy to understand. If you go to the classes everyday, you'll definitely pass. Don't be afraid to ask questions, because she will definitely answer anything she can/that's relevant.

One of the best English professors at GSU. She is a TOUGH grader so be ready to work for your grade, but she gives amazing feedback and will read as many drafts as you giver her. Minute papers are important so make sure to read, but she will let you make them up if you are out sick (she is an understanding professor when it comes to sick leave).

She will grade your papers like they have somehow wronged her, but she will also talk you through everything you did wrong and help you fix the mistakes. If you are taking her class be prepared to have your ego bruised, but do not be afraid to ask questions. Although she is a tough grader, she never makes you feel stupid for making a mistake.

I took this as a minimester and really enjoyed it. It has lots of response questions on the reading (1/week ~4-6 questions). I always answered long responses and usually did well. Very nice professor and is willing to answer questions quickly. Make sure you answer prompt. She provided all readings on folio except 1. Would take her again!

Dr. Edenfield is one best professors at Southern. She is very passionate about her subjects. All the reading material is interesting and her lectures are amazing. There is a quiz almost every day but if you read the material you should be fine. She is a great professor who care deeply about all of her students.

Amazing professor, loved having her spring semester!!! Everything in her class is paper only, you have to come to class prepared with the material. She recommends printing everything out right away. So make sure to have a 2 inch binder for her materials. There is a quiz taken at least every lecture day but isn't difficult. 2 exams in the class.
