If you can learn on your own and have plenty of time this is a great class to take. The professor just clicks through the PowerPoint and it's very hard to understand her because of her accent. She is a very down to earth teacher, but I had to learn everything on my own.
Professor yemi is very caring about your learning and grade and she makes her best efforts to help you out as much as she can. TAKE HER
Yemi is a great teacher. She gives you every opportunity to do well in her class. There are plenty opportunities for extra credit. You will learn a lot and this class and it will probably give you a good idea if you will want to pursue a career in the healthcare industry. I highly recommend taking her class.
Awesome teacher ! Will work with you and with your schedule!! I really recommend her !
Yemi is an awesome teacher and very caring. She is very much willing to explain in detail in question you may have regarding the material.
Overall good professor!
Great class! Attendance is not mandatory but she does a review at the beginning of each class for exactly what is on the test. Plus she gives extra credit for attending classes if you do go! No homework no final there is a 70 question quiz each week that you have 2 chances to take. Very clear on what will be on the test and very helpful!
DR Yemi has a bueatiful spirit, she knows her terminolgy, with all respected a bueatiful woman,I love her accent she really wants students to do well,I must confess a lot of words to take in,there are 12 test no finals, she gives a test review before any test, she a good Prof. very approachable
Dr. Yemi Ojewale is the best teacher I have taken so far. She is very caring and understanding. She really wants her students to succeed and do well in their careers. Attendance is not mandatory but if you attend the lecture she gives you extra points. Also, there is no homework, or final! I highly recommend taking her.
Professor Ojewale is very nice, caring, and intelligent. She really knows what shes talking about! The textbook is not needed and her PowerPoints have all the answers to the quizzes, which are 70 questions. Attendance is not mandatory and there are many extra credit opportunities.
My first college class in 20 years. She made me feel comfortable being back in school.
She's a great teacher. Would definitely take one of her classes again.
Dr. Ojewale was amazing! She is very good at explaining the material and making sure you understand everything before taking the tests. She gives extra credit that is due at the end of the course as well as extra credit participation points!! 10/10 would recommended taking a a course with Dr. Ojewale.
Dr. Ojewale is a great instructor. This class covers a lot of material, but Dr. O readily answers questions and explains the material thoroughly and clearly. She really knows her stuff! The dept quizzes are challenging and you definitely have to study outside of class to do well. Overall, I'm very glad I took Dr. O's class.
Okay so this happens to be one of the best professors I came across at Santa Fe College. I took HSC2531 with her and she was and is amazing. Her lectures are well put and are all on canvas but you must come to class to get a better understanding if you ever get confused or have questions. She is very fair and her quizzes are easy just study.
This professor is amazing, she give extra credit for participation, she involves the class while teaching, she breaks things down on a very easy level, and she does this all with a smile on here face like she really loves her job. Once again she is amazing so if anyone is looking to take this class she would be a great choice.
I took this class for summer b and held off all the quizzes till the last week of classes and passed with an A! There's a lot of material but the quizzes are easy if you just study the powerpoints. I personally spent 1-2 hours per chapter before taking an exam and got an A on each one. She offers extra credit for attendance and as a project as well
While this class is online and it seems difficult, it's not. The class is nicely set up with all the resources, the powerpoints are easy to understand and they have everything you need to know for the exams 100%. Ojewale is incredibly nice and replies quick to emails. I really learned a lot from this course and would definitely recommend it.
Prof Ojewale is very nice and will allow you to make up a test if you miss one. Read the chapter and study your notes and you will get an A.
I took professor Ojewale for medical terminology. I took the class completely online, and I really enjoyed it. The powerpoints were extremely helpful and if you make flash cards and study, you'll be able to pass. I definitely reccomend getting the textbook because it's full of practice opportunities. Overall a great class and professor.
Loved Professor Ojewale! Loved the class content, I feel like this class has helped prepare me for my future in the medical field.
you will pass as long as you don't fall behind
Considering that I took this class for summer b. Make sure to stay on track or even get ahead as much as possible since there are a lot of assignments/exams and there are a lot of things to memorize. But overall the class is helpful especially if you're heading into the medical field.
Great teacher the only downside is her PowerPoint, some are shorter and some are very long which sometimes go over the class time but not bad. you definitely need to study and not fall behind because you will have a hard time catching up.
This class is very fast paced and requires a lot of memorization. There are about 15 70 question exams and then discussion assignments due every week. This class is not hard if you spend time watching the lecture videos, making flashcards, and memorizing the terms.
Such an amazing professor. She always keeps me up to date on upcoming assignments as well as answering all of my questions.
Professor Ojewale is a great professor that sets forth clear and guided expectations in the class syllabus. Nothing was rushed in a condensed summer term and expectations were set forth in an organized, manageable package. Lecture videos and powerpoints actually contain exam content for studying. Overall great professor and would def take again.
yemi is a medical doctor so her classes were applicable to real world medical scenarios. I found her teaching style to be very informative and I will retain the knowledge learned in class throughout my medical career.
I loved the extra credit for class participation and attendance. I took this class with another professor and got a D. In this class you will definately pass if you study and takes exam every week not letting the work pile up.
This was an excellent class and I learned a lot. The tests were reflective of the PowerPoint lectures and reviews. It was very rushed due to the abbreviated term. Professor Ojewale provided a lot of support to help the students be successful.
shes a very easy going professor. she takes her time and goes through every chapter. showing up for class was helpful so you dont fall behind. i studied for 3 hours before every exam and did okay.
Dr. Ojewale, has been an excellent professor. While this is an online course, she has done a great job organizing the material so everything is easy to find. She also really cares about her students and replies to emails in a timely manner. Be ready to read, but I find myself actually learning something of value.
The book is really important to follow and keep up with. Although there are many tests, it's actually easier since the material is broken down.
Condensed course was a bit tough. 2 chapt. a week with a proctored exam for each chapt. Some had well over 40 pages per chapter. LOTS of reading & terms. She includes a lot of helpful study material (videos, links, interactive games, etc) She has a few discussion posts for 1pt. Most are for discussion purposes. Overall great professor.
If you skip a lecture or don't study you will fall behind.
90% of this class revolved around tests. Prioritize the provided quizlet links to study with. About 15 exams One exam every Monday in the BOL(Big Open Lab) on one particular chapter. 70 question exams First 20ish questions naming the structure on anatomy pictures. 21-58ish is multiple choice. 59-70 is building the medical term out of a description.
Dr. Ojewale is a wonderful professor and I enjoyed my time in her class. Your grade is strictly based on your performance on the weekly, 70-question quizzes. If you study the weekly study guide, you will do very well in this class. I feel that I learned a lot in her class and would recommend it to anyone who needs this credit!
Took this class online. DO NOT FALL BEHIND. You can make this class easier on yourself by making sure you are staying up on your weekly quizzes. You will struggle to catch up if you get behind enough. Dr. Yemi is an amazing professor! Grade is based on 70 question weekly quizzes and 8 extra credit points. Study quizlet and the book is helpful.
Great Class. Instructor provides all the material needed to be successful in the class. Please use her practice power points and Quizlet for each chapter. Start working on the medical terms early do not fall behind.
Challenging class, but if you put in the time you should do fine. It's extremely helpful to go through the exercises before taking an exam. Also, studying the diagrams is important. 16 exams (70pts each) and 1 discussion post worth 1pt a week. EXAMS: diagrams, MC (easy), and building words from word parts. Know those things and you should be good
I absolutely adored this professor. She was caring and sweet, and her lectures really were distributive and understandable. The problem was it was very study heavy and there were a lot of things due at a particular time and I felt like I was almost drowning. The class was extremely tough, but having this professor made it a little less crazy.
If i had the chance to take this class in person with prof then I would. I do not do well online anyway but I did alright this semester because of the clear navigation and requirements for this course. Take this if you need it!
She is very understanding and a wonderful teacher.
would take again.
GREAT CLASS. BUT READ THE MATERIAL. DONT TRY TO PASS THE EXAMS WITHOUT DOING SO.
Learned a lot about anatomy and physiology which will definitely help for next semester. Even though I was not required to take this class for my degree, I'm very glad that I took it. I feel like I have one foot in the door. Amazing teacher!
The class is amazing when you can read the PowerPoint notes you will be sure to pass the exam with flying colors and also the practice questions are really helpful and amazing. I will take this class again and recommend it to anybody.
She was really good. She answered any questions asked and her lectures were good.
Test heavy, but not that difficult if you study:)
Test heavy but very easy as long as you read the practice slides and study. Very specific on how things are graded and super easy to follow along.
This class was a breeze as long as you study and keep on pace with the syllabus. The course is laid out by week and Professor Ojwale gives great lectures to follow as well. There are tests weekly so it is in your best interest to stay on top of the work.
She has a great way to make you understand stuff even though is all online, she leaves a lot of didactic and easy lectures to understand everything clearly. I recommend to take this class
There are weekly quizzes that are easy if you study. We had a lecture video for each chapter, and we had a discussion board each week. This course is extremely flexible, because the 3 things you have to do are within a span of 7 days. If you want to work ahead, the whole semester is uploaded.
There was a quiz as well as a discussion due every week but they weren't difficult as long as you study. She made it very flexible by giving a week between each chapter and provides good lectures as well as PowerPoints. Highly recommend!
This was a pretty simple class. Lots of reading and memorization needed to pass but was overall an easy A. The professor was very clear on expectations and laid things out well. I would recommend to anyone interested in taking medical terminology.
Options for extra credit or alternate quizzes would allow for variation in grading
Weekly exams (70 questions) rather than a mid term or final made this class easy for me. I recommend not falling behind because of how much memorizing you'll do but once you get the hang of how to put the words together, its a breeze . The lecture modules were great and the practice exams went over every single question on the exam! Easy A
Lots of reading and memorizing, textbook is necessary. When my server crashed on 2 different exams she took the time to look through at the videos from honor lock so I wouldn't have to retake them.
This professor is really good, honestly. Really great at making sure if you miss a quizz, that it is still open for you to do till the end of the semester
70 question quizzes weekly. It may seem like a lot but with the amount of great practice and lectures she gives, along with the book, it is easy to learn.
Clear cut course on medical terminology. Lecture videos, power points, and online practice quizzes/questions lay everything out for exams. The weekly exams make up the grade and everything on the exam is in the material, no surprises.
Be prepared to study.
Each week I knew exactly what was expected of me and helped me with my studying. I was able to try different ways to study. Teacher was very helpful if needed. I learned a lot and this class was very organized.
I really enjoyed this course. The workload is the same each week, so you always know what you have to complete and there are few "assignments". Discussion posts and weekly quizzes are all that is assigned and if you study for them you will do well. There was a powerpoint for every chapter and Professor Ojewale always gave other resources.
Medical Terminology is a very important course in my career path, it was mandatory that I attend the online class. I wish that we were given the opportunity to take extra credit which was not an option. Nevertheless, I learned a lot from the professor and enjoyed the online interactions with the students.
It's medical terminology so it's a given there will be a lot of memorization. But the class was structured well and prof is fair, straightforward, clear syllabus.
This class was very easy, if you are very good at memorizing you'll pass this class.
This class isn't hard since it is solely based on memorization, so get ready to study. The workbook was the best study tool to do decent on the exams in my opinion. The class is very well organized with lectures, practice pages, and powerpoints for every chapter. Very little extra credit... only weekly tests and discussion posts make up your grade.
100% memorization. 16 Exams, 1 each week and no final. I took this as a prerequisite along with Anatomy 1 and it helped a lot.
Dr. Ojewale is great! As long as you study this class is easy.
This class is amazing !!! I wish I could take this class again. Test are once a week and I used Quizlet to study for test ( plz use Quizlet). There are also lecture videos if you need extra help. There is NO final exam and If u study and do the discussion post u will pass the class.
Best class ever! Would take it again!
I loved taking this online class! All you have is one discussion post and one quiz per week, and if you stay on track with studying it isn't hard at all. I would definitely recommend this professor for anyone who has to take medical terminology.
Not necessarily an easy class but it was very helpful and I learned a lot. Teacher was great and there was a test every week, as long as your study the lectures and powerpoints, you'll pass the test.
lectures went with all material needed for testing. as long as you study you will pass with ease.
Was a lot of material to study. Not enough time to take the test. But overall it was an okay class.
This course (Medical Terminology Online) was amazing ! very organized and so easy to comprehend. The teacher was easily accessible outside of regular business hours. She was so quick to respond to emails and so professional! The lectures were great !
The style of this course was very efficient for me because the tests are divided like the chapters from the book and that helps with organization and having enough time to really learn the material, since every chapter builds on top of the other.
The course style was really effective for me because the exams are divided like the chapters in the textbook. This helped with organization and time management for studying and really learning the material, since every chapter is built on top of the other.
Many options given to learn your course from such as power points, books, videos and online programs.
Even though the course was online, it exceeded my expectations and I feel like I've learned a lot that I can carry with me into the nursing program and It served as a good refresher! Be prepared to study every week and take good notes, it'll teach you some good study habits!
This was a really great and enjoyable class. I took this class as a base for my future medical classes but it was not mandatory. Every week there was a test and 1 homework. As long as you follow her instructions on how to pass the class you will do fine. I would absolutely take it again, I learned a lot.
Lectures are easy to listen to as she has a nice voice and tempo to presenting. She makes it very clear what is going to be on each test.
Every assignment was on Honorlock. I could only do the homework at my apartment and there was a lot of information. I didn't do well on the first 2 chapters and have spent the entire rest of the semester trying to get my grade up but because of the point system he uses, what you get in the beginning is what you stay with. If you start well, take it
This was an easy class all you have to do is study her PowerPoints and look at her practice slides.
This was an easy class; you just have to study a lot.
10/10 would take this class again. So many great resources for the test. The slideshows were my saving grace to study. Everything you need to know is in the videos and slides. Also a GREAT teacher!
very good online course that is accessible anywhere. she opens all the assignments during your first week so you can work as fast as you want! Very good professor!
The only work for the class is discussion posts and honor lock quizzes, which get very tedious and you must have at least one day per week set aside for just this class. I would not take this class again. Even the 3 question quizzes were honor-locked.
Great job besides sometimes when you yawn in the lecture videos it made me sleepy too
Overall, this class was a lot of studying with majority of the assignments being quizzes/tests. The material was pretty straight-forward, and mostly based on memorization. Be sure to read the textbook, watch the videos, and review the PowerPoints because some words will be present in one of the resources but not the others.
A solid course that is in equal parts challenging but fair. Flexible
If you take the time to memorize the material, you will pass. She gives lots of extra credit and wants everyone to pass.
great but I wouldn't advise taking this class online. not a fill-in-the-blanks type of person so it's extremely hard. All of the quizzes are honor lock even only 3-4 questions. Isn't very organized with how the module is placed. If you do not want to memorize 50 different things then I suggest taking this class in person.
She gives a lot to memorize and spelling is a huge part of your grade. She offers an online book with helpful practices to help you in this class.
Overall great online course for Medical Terminology, moves very quickly and is manageable to keep up with. Lecture resources vary for most styles of learning. Online text is useful and free! Be ready to spell correctly, it counts every step of the way!
This was a really fun class and was fairly easy after taking A&P. Just study because memorization is key to succeed but Professor Ojewale helps with that by providing in depth lecture videos!
Being an online class, we never met in person. Dr Ojewale always responded promptly through email with any questions that I had. Grading was straightforward and the syllabus was clear and adhered to throughout the course. I would definitely take another class with her.
I enjoyed the class and learned so much. Time just flew by in this class & I never felt pressured or stresses working 2 jobs while taking this class.
Would take again! The class is very organized. My grade is my fault!
Class was very easy to follow, information presented clearly. Great for those with a busy schedule :)
Her class is pretty straightforward. There is one test every Sunday and some discussion posts that are optional. Just be sure to study and take notes in order to pass your weekly tests. I have passed at least 95% of them.
