I took this teacher for an 8am class and he managed to keep me awake. I think he is a good teacher. Very entertaining. I liked the fact that our greade was based on 3 tests, but i guess not everyone does. Easy A if you take notes and pay attention to the review.

I think that he is over all a good teacher, His class is never boring, he makes it fun. I wouldnt say he has perfected the teaching method b/c some of the things he does jut dont make sence but overall a teacher who can make history tolerable is a-ok in my book

Great professor. Classes are interesting and fun, even at 8 in the morning. He knows what he's talking about and all you have to do is pay attention, and the tests are a breeze. Multiple choice, and if you listen to the lectures, the tests come with no problem. He also has a curve.

Great History teacher, he acts out all the parts in history and ads his own humorus commentary. Class is very easy, he gives a review that explains most of the test and you always have plenty of notes to study. Easy class, I passed with a B even though I never bought the book.

This professor is great! He is very helpful and uses illustrations with his computer projector. He follows the book and adds to it to help explain and clarify.

Cuan must have had a time machine or somthing because he can explain history as if he were there. He loves to act out events and use politocally correct acents and such. His tests are easy and he'll host a review before every test. If you need a Social Science credit take Prof. Cuan, you should have a lot of fun.

His class is unbelievably boring and I fell asleep or didn't show up for about 3/4 of the class and got an B. An A is definently achievable if you put a little effort. Don't buy the book he doesn't refer to it and you dont need it. DEFINENTLY show up for the reviews, thats the only way I knew what to study (buy a tape recorder to tape his review)

If you want to take an easy history class take this one. The whole semester he gave 3 tests and thats it. Fairly easy multiple choice test....can be tricky! But over all hes a great guy...makes jokes and keeps your attention.

he is a really good professor loves to use alot of examples some personal and others from readings. the test aren't very hard only were 30 questions. he gives alot of notes of course. he let us know that his main reason for so many notes is b/c he wants us to actually learn about history . and that's something i did

I took a night class with Cuan. Three hours of talking with no break. He'll review thoroughly before the first test and the mid-term. The final won't be as easy. This teacher is perfect for the easily entertained (i.e. bad impressions, jokes). Still, it was a fine experience and I passed with a high grade. And no, I never used the book once.

The BEST techer for an easy A in your history requirement! His class is very entertaining, he knows his stuff. Book not necessary, take detailed class notes b/c all tests are based on notes (notes get you 5pt xtra credit at end of semester). Gives FULL test review before test (take notes). 2 tests + final, no papers!

He is a really cool and interesting guy. Very knowledgable. He basically just lectures, but the lectures are really interesting. He includes his own personal stories, and the energy that he has makes the class a lot of fun. I think there were 2 tests. He gave good reviews for them though. Omar is the best!! Yeah he gives you 3 test and a NB check BUT he curves the grades. He also cares about the students because he pulled me aside and talked to me about the first test i got a D on. He likes people that speak out and have fun with him. You learn a lot because the man IS the history channel. Hes so crazy! TAKE HIM!!!

very passionate about the subject. makes the class kind of fun sometimes. i do not like history, but it was okay. his gordon rule assignment was 'mandatory extra credit'-just had to show him notes and he gave you five extra points. he repeated things a lot and told us exactly what was on the test, so they were not too hard.

Amazing Class. I hated history coming into this class but seeing him so excited about the stories he told just made me want to do well in his class. I wish I could get that excited about anything. I would highly reccommend taking this class to anyone who wants more then just your average lectures.

I took his honors class which is different from his regular class. The grading is: 3 research papers 30% each, a presentation 10%. So no tests or quizzes & he gives you a second chance on each paper. There is one deadline for everything at the end. Perfect attendance is not mandatory, the class is lecture but he's hysterical and it's interesting.

Professor Cuan does impersonations of historical figures. He makes history come alive. He is very direct on what is expected of you.I took Honors, 3 thesis papers, and a p.p. will let you rewrite thesis' as long as they're submitted b-4 revision date. GREAT PROFESSOR! funny too! If you care about your grade,this is your professor.

I was dreading taking History. What a great class this turned out to be. I actually looked forward to each class. He seriously does tell it all like a story, it fits together. I would have been fine with the class going on for another semester. Fantastic teacher. 3 multiple choice tests, plus you keep a notebook for writing requirement.

This professor was a 7.5 on a scale from one to ten. He can be a little rude and intimidating at times, but not too often. He enjoys his job so he has a unique way of "acting out" history. This class was NOT hard and its an easy A just follow the rules and take notes. You don't even have any home or class work!!!Test reviews are the test. Take him!

I am currently in US History to 1865 with Professor Cuan. He really only lectures but take good notes because thats what you will be studying! No study guide and small review but covers material well in class. Only have 3 tests and a note check making your grade. Great professor and really knows and understanding the topic he is teaching!

Cuan is AMAZING!!! He's super cool and knows what he's talking about. The only grades are 3 tests (which are super easy)and a collection of your lecture notes that he gets at the end of the semester. Turn in your notes and he curves your grade. He also does funny sound effects while teaching. Cuan=great.

Cuan's a pretty cool guy. He's really into History so that's a plus. Show up to his class and listen to his lectures (it's funny, he does voices for different people) and you'll do fine. It's a great class.

I enjoyed his class he gives great notes and backstory on the wars and history. it's just the fact that he gives only three tests is a problem. Every point counts. Be prepared to take a test on 5 chapters at once. Other than that take good notes.

Funnier and more interesting compared to most professors. And definitely has a slightly elevated opinion of himself, his views and his "facts". At the end of the day take good notes and dont take the three tests he gives lightly.

This is an easy class, but many people do good on 1st test and don’t show up for class after that. Big mistake! He gives a few test question in almost all of his lecture,and highlight those. Also, there is a review before each of the 3 multiple choice tests, but you still need to study your notes. Turn notes in to get a curve on your overall grade.

Professor Cuan is not so bad, I got a B in the class because I read the book! The problem with him is he cannot focus on what he has to say. One minute he is talking about King James and the next he starts telling us story out of no where and everywhere!!

Professor Cuan is great. He knows material very well and makes it very interesting w/ maps & pictures he has. Attendance is suggested, if you expect to pass. Test are based off of notes taken in class. He is repetitive, so if you hear it once, you'll hear it 2,3,4 times. 3rd & final test is curved, with completion of outline.

Professor Cuan was an amazing professor, As long as you show up for class and pay attention, you will pass. He will take any questions and he enjoys what he does. He also tells short stories and jokes during lectures to make the class enjoyable. There are only 3 or 4 tests and outline that is all of your notes stapled together for the semester.

This man is hands down the best professor I've ever had. His class is so enjoyable! History feels like a good story to listen to. He laughs often, and makes jokes of history characters who were ridiculous, he loves his job, and knows so much about everything too. Just make sure to take notes though, cause there is a lot of info to take in. no HW!!

He is the funniest professor. He does reenactments and different accents. It is very entertaining. He jokes around all the time. Theres 3 tests and an easy 1,000 word outline of any subject we went over in class. But we have ALL semester to write it. Everything he writes down take note of. His tests are exactly from the lectures and notes I took.

He doesnt care if you skip class. Your grade is up to you. Just get the notes from others if you do miss because the notes REALLY help when it comes to the tests. Such a funny guy. Super easy. Just take him; you won't regret it. Just write all the notes in class and skim before the test. There is only one essay you have to do. He's also funny which is a major plus for me because I couldn't care less about this class.

The only assignments are the 4 tests, and the outline (no essay!) Has a tendency to go off topic constantly, and makes jokes about liberals a LOT so wouldn't recommend if you care about that. Otherwise his lectures are to the point and clear, he knows the material. The first class is the most important, you get info not on the syllabus.

Professor Cuan is very smart and you can tell he is very enthusiastic about what he teaches. If you don't study, however, unless you have superior memory, you probably won't get a good grade on the tests. Make sure you write everything he says down! He helps you out on the last test which was a life saver. I swore I was gonna get a C, but got a B!

3 tests. The first two were thirty questions and the last one was 35 questions. Each test is around 5 chapters each. You also have an outline that you either get a 0 or a 10 on, no in between. Those are your only grade. I didn't need the book but still got it. I did end up having to study the notes I took in class religiously though. DO NOT SKIP.

You 100% do NOT need to buy the textbook. The entire class consists of note taking which is ACTUALLY helpful for the test. The only thing I can say is that you cannot skip. This class gets harder if you skip periodically. One of my favorite teachers! His class is super easy. All you have to do is show up to every class to get the notes on the lecture. ALL his test are based on what is said in class. During the whole semester there is only 3 test and a 4 page outline due. I recommend everyone to take this class.

There are only 3 exams and 1 outline. The notes you take in class cover all the content in the class but reading the textbook will help. He dedicates an entire class before the exam to review, in which he basically gives you answers to the questions on the test. Super nice guy! Class is composed of 3 exams and one final outline of all your notes. No assignments in between. Theres also a curve for your exams and he does a review the class before which is a major help. Just make sure u get all ur notes in and your good!

BRo his class during the pandemic is the easiest, legit I took his AMH2010 and AMH2020 classes he only gives out 3 exams and all the answers were on quizlet bruh, this was the easiest 2 A's Ive ever gotten in college but this is only possible due to the pandemic so If his classes are online still TAKE IT AND CHEAT ON THE EXAMS AND YOULL GET A A+
