Great professor.Gives questions on midterm and final in advanced. Long readings during semester but just skim through them and participate and you'll be fine. He's young, smart and energetic. 2pg response papers are informal and super easy. Take Him!

His class is super easy, he's super fun and he let's you know exactly what notes are important for the test. He explains everything thoroughly and he only gives two tests and some readings as hw. Easy A if you show up to class. Isn't a boring morning class

I made the mistake of hardly studying for the midterm (only midterm and final, no papers). The tests are both definition based. The test is based on tricky multiple choice instead of complete knowledge of each definition. On the slides he bolds the definitions you must know. He makes the class super interesting. I really enjoyed this class.

Prof Montana made this class extremely interesting, has a great sense of humor and really made the class enjoyable. The tests are a bit tricky but if you go to class and pay attention the class is an easy A. He really cares about the students and wants them to learn. If taking any SOC class MUST TAKE MONTANA!!Overall he's an excellent professor.

I had this professor on Saturdays and let me tell you, I wouldn't mind waking up early in the morning just for his class. He's very informative and it's evident that he has a passion for his job. LONG READINGS, but very interesting. He makes the readings very clear in class and honestly opens your mind to a new perspective of things. Professor Montana has honestly been one of my favorite professors at QC. He is very dedicated, passionate and caring of his students. He really just wants you to do well! I would take him again in a heart beat!

Very organized and clear lectures, use of good examples to understand the more complex theorists, and extremely energetic the entire 4 hours. The energy and most obvious love for what he teaches is what kept me wanting to learn more. It's probably the first class where I had perfect attendance! Highly recommend!

By far the most engaging professor in the Sociology department. His lectures are free flowing and improvised which breaks up the monotony of your typical lecture. I took him in the winter session so I didn't get to read much in detail(only needed his notes to get an A on exams) but the free reading materials are fantastic for car/plane trips.

Love this guy! I wish he taught other courses in Soc. He's the one that literally got me into Sociology and now it's my major. He's so engaging, humorous and very knowledgeable on the subject. Would so take him again! Power points are truly all you need to study for exams. Everything comes right out of it. Very understanding also.

A really great professor, always takes his time when teaching new material. I honestly just took this class to fill a requirement, but ended up liking it so much that I've been recommending him to everybody. He's a really chill teacher and makes sure that we understand the lecture topics with notes and visuals. He's interactive and a lot of fun, but you do need to put in some work to get a good grade. Don't be intimidated!

I love this professor! This is my second class having him and I just took him for 212W! Take him! He is such an amazing guy and professor! His tests are not hard at all. He lets you know what will be on the exams ahead of time because he knows you have other classes that are harder. TAKE HIM!! You will not regret it!

I enjoyed his class very much! I can say he is one of my fave professors. He's very interactive with the class and I loved the discussions. Very chill and funny. The course itself is an easy A. All you have to do study the Power Points. No homework so majority of grade are based on tests and participation.

He gives the grading criteria in the syllabus. He's super charismatic and I actually enjoyed and learned a lot. Just make sure you read the assignments and take notes.

Professor Montana has to be one of the funniest professors I met. This class was so laid-back and I feel like I did not have to worry about anything at all. Prof. Montana is cool. For soc210 there's a reading for almost every class but it isn't bad. He just wants you to get the idea of it. No hw, just midterm/final but his exams can be slightly tricky with the multiple choice but if you take good notes, study & pay attention you should be fine. He also gives a review sheet.

Prof. Montana is outstanding. Incredible lectures. It's not a difficult course, but don't take advantage of his kindness and expect that you'll get an 'A' by sitting quietly in the back. Great professor. It's an easy class but also engaging as well. His passion about what he teaches is apparent and will keep your attention, at least from someone like me who can barely sit still.

Hands down one of my most favorite lecturers in QC. Montana is a real gem and as an instructor he highly values that his students try their best to learn. Everyday I was looking forward to attend class because he was highly engaging and made it dynamic. In terms of grading he is also pretty lenient. Has my highest recommendation as an instructor!

After not being in school for over 10 years, Prof. Montana made my summer semester stress free. He records his amazing lectures; which you are able to look over at your own time. His exams are multiple-choice and he gives ample time to complete it. You must take him, you will not regret it!

I took this class with my friend and do not regret it! He is an amazing lecturer and he will make you laugh while also teaching you things that actually make sense. Don't take him because you're looking for an easy professor, take him because you actually want to learn something. he's great.

I absolutely loved Professor Montana. I think I only missed two classes this whole semester and it wasn't even on purpose. All his classes are inspirational and I leave every class with new questions. He is very lean back and chill, but he does notice people if they don't his class regularly and it might impact the grade with a few points. But all exams are online and pretty straightforward. This class is really interesting on the way he explains the course and fun.

Dr Omar's class was very interesting. I learned so much about NYC from the past and present. This was an easy online summer class and I suggest you take it. Make sure you're very attentive during the lectures and participation is important. There was only one assignment and one final exam. Make sure you are keeping up with the notes!

Professor Montana is a G. His lectures were funny, informational, and taught me a lot about how society works. Sometimes he'd go on political spiels, but overall I had no issue. He gives you the answers to the exams in class, you just need to write them down. Exams are online as well.

you only get two tests, a midterm and final. Thats it. No homework, no nothing. 50% is midterm and 50% is the final. But it is online and he literally gives you the questions and answers during the lecture. He doesnt take attendance but if you go to the lectures, hes really cool.

I don't know what some people are talking about in these reviews, but Omar is one of the best professors I have had at QC. His lectures and course materials are clear from the start of the semester. He is also super understanding as long as you communicate. Lectures are interactive and engaging!! Would definitely recommend.
