Yes, she does assign a lot of reading and the papers are a little longer than would be expected from a freshman English class. Go to class, do the work, get a good grade. She actually wants students to succeed. She even throws in some extra credit.

Great English instructor! She is extremely clear with what her expectations are on each paper. Show up everyday and it will be cake. She takes late work but deducts a letter grade for everyday late. As long as you meet the deadlines and put in effort, you will get an A.

I took ENG 112 online with Dr. Cruz. It was pretty dang easy and I dislike English. We just had two pretty small assignments due each week, and then we wrote 2 papers which she graded really easy if you know how to properly write a decent paper. TAKE HER

I took her for 112 online and a former teacher that I took for 111 told me that she is the most lenient and nicest English teacher at wake tech. You WILL pass with an A if you keep up with the assignments. She's so helpful and her essays aren't even that hard. you won't feel stressed about her class and you will be pleased with her instructing ways

I currently have Professor Cruz for ENG 112 and I'm in love with her class. She gives good feedback on everything and she's willing to help if you reach out to her. She responds to her emails fast, and I love professors like that b/c it shows that teachers really do care about you. If you take her class, look forward to the debates, those are fun!

She is more than willing to help you out on essays. She takes time to explain what she expects on papers. Not an overly tough grader, but will point out things for you to work on in future essays. Just make sure you do in class assignments with some effort and you will do well.

Seriously, she is one of the best teachers I have ever had. Cruz is extremely good with her students, is very good at being available, and is always willing to help you if you are stuck. Also, her classes are fun and she is hilarious. You will have to work hard to get an A (papers are tough) but she makes the process so much easier and fun.

Excellent teacher and I recommend her! Each week is planned accordingly and assignments are given to you at the start of the week. Due dates are Tuesdays and Thursdays, there are three essays throughout the course. The last one is worth more than the final exam, I found the essays to be fun and not difficult. Turning in your work will get you an A!

Great professor who gives great feedback on assignments and discussion posts. The assignments are easy as long as you don't wait last minute to do them. It's a fun learning class online and you will learn new things. The due dates for the assignments are given ahead of time so just make sure you use your time wisely to do your assignments!

Professor Cruz made this class very fun and easy, especially for someone who is not good at writing papers! There are two papers, a few journals, one extra credit opportunity, and a final exam (in-class writing). She cares so much for her students and wants nothing more than to see you succeed! Just put in the work and reach out when you need help.

Professor Cruz was great. She was a supper fair grader. The assignments were clear and she gave good feedback. Fairly quick to grade. It took about 1-2 weeks for the big assignments and less than a week for little things. It was the only class I've taken where the dissolutions were actually useful. There were three main essays and a final.

I love Professor Cruz. She was great in ENG 111 and even better in 112. Super supportive of everything you do and will answer any and all questions in depth. She will continue to help you through the class and essays. I think it is a super easy class and I love her as a professor.

Essay heavy, they are 60% of the grade. This is not an easy class, but she is not a tough grader. I got A's for all essays. Take them to the ILC. You will be fine. There are weekly discussion boards, and you have to reply to 2 people. Overall, take her. If you take your essays to the ILC, you'll get an A. She is also kind and caring. Good luck!

Prof. Cruz clearly cares about her students and responds to emails quickly. Even though the essays are graded heavily, and there were only two essays (so make them count), she's not a harsh grader, and her rubric clearly states what she's looking for and guides you through the process before you have to turn in the final draft.

I took her ENG 112 online course. The class is set up well and the work isn't overwhelming but it is very essay heavy. I wouldn't say she's the toughest grader ever, but she's not an easy grader. However, she does grade by the rubric. She is really good at answering emails, and she is also good at giving feedback. Ultimately, I recommend her.

Professor Cruz took my writing skills from average to honestly great. I have always struggled with English and she really helped me tackle those weaknesses. She has two major essays and one final exam essay that is timed. The rest is easy homework. So be careful with the essays because they can either make or break you.

Took this class in the fall I absolutely LOVED her!!! Assignments were manageable, given enough time to complete them. She gives great feedback on drafts. My lowest essay grade was literally a 96 and I am so bad at writing. My essays have improved so much with her help

3 class discussions, 6 journals, 3 essays and 1 final mini essay. She grades rough drafts (on completion) for the 3 essays as well. No extra credit but she accepted late work w/ no penalty for the summer semester. I wish she gave a bit more feedback on essays and rough drafts! Easy grader but seemed to grade more harshly toward the end?

There are only 3 major essays to write the whole class and she is very lenient when grading. She tries her best to rewrite any sentences or mistakes you make during essay 1 and 2 while she gives feedback but for essay 3 its a long essay but she tries her best to give as much feedback as possible. Highly Recommend!!
