His stories are very interesting. Just study his notes! No need to buy text. Midterms are easy if you take good notes (as he talks)-no slides or overhead notes provided..just him talking. Pretty good teacher.

Don't listen to all the people who gave the bad marks. Mr. Breitman may not be very helpful as in scheduling extra time out of class/office hours, but he doesn't need to. The cases he presents and examples he gives give you 100% clarity on the material.

dont need 2 buy text, try not 2 skip his class or u'll b behind. stories are very interesting. very nice guy. taught us how 2 break contracts...lol

This guy is very good and concise on what he is saying. Any questions that are asked can be answered clearly and simply. The people below that are complaining first have to learn english, and second should shut up and listen to the class.

He is a very good teacher. he is also very HOT HOT HOT for his age. Very clear. just attend his classes you'll do great. Good exams. nice person and good marker as well. What else do u want? strongly recommend it.

This guy is chillaxed to the max. He knows his stuff but isn't cocky (which is unusual for a lawyer). He seems like one of those hippies that had an epiphany and was like "screw this, I'm gonna make some cash". Makes law actually interesting.This guy is real ultimate professor. Which is bragable.

A lot to remember for the midterms, but it is a law class, so that is to be expected. He makes this class fun. I was really surprised how much I liked it. (It was at 830am and I'm not a morning person) Total stoner turned lawyer, I swear. Best teacher you could hope for.

I don't know what people are whining about here, I thought he was tough, but fair, and gave you exactly what he said he would, and did what he was supposed to do - TEACH. Who cares if he is compassionate? I'm not paying for compassion, I am paying him to teach, and I thought he did a superb job.

This teacher rocked... easy A and its great cause you dont need to buy the textbook. If you go to class regulary you will get a good mark.

Don't listen to all the sad faces. The reason why his course is 'hard' (laugh) is because the content is a lot to swallow and UNDERSTAND. You must understand and be able to apply concepts, not memorize it. He teaches by giving you examples and applications of the law, not textbook definitions. EXCELLENT TEACHER. (but avoid if you're an ESL student)

he is a very good teacher in my opinion. classes are interesting and informative. you want to come to his class. just take good notes and you dont need to spend over 100 dollars on the textbook. he uses many examples which clearly illustrate the elements with a sense of humor. good course, great teacher.

ok... first off seems to me only esl students hate him. I think it's an extremely interesting course, sure it's all based on notes but cmon boys and girls your in college, its not a cake walk. Seriously DO NOT BUY THE TEXTBOOK!! you dont need. Breitman is a great guy, great class i recomend it if your goin into buisness.

nice prof., clear and concise, easy going..homeworks and exams are easy..though the homeworks and exams are relatively easy, the midterms are quite long and a lil bit difficult..all you have to do is listen to his lectures and you'll pass his exams/midterm/finals with ease.

Great Prof. Just go to class and take notes. Don't buy text. He has great examples and reviews everything at least 3 times. He tells you what is going to be on the exam so listen and take notes.

Breitman is a good teacher. all the people who gave bad reports are probably people who skipped his class and fell behind. if you go to class, and take notes, you will get an easy A. Awesome Teacher! Go to class, take notes, and don't buy a text book. He uses examples to help define concepts, which helps remember them when studying.knows his stuff, and is more then willing to help, and if you can't catch him during office hours he will leave his cell phone. obviously cares. Take this class, it apply's to real life situations.

Oren is AWESOME! he's very clear and gives endless examples to explain his material. take notes furiously and don't bother getting the textbook; you won't need it. attend every class and memorize the notes you take re: case studies and components for categories.very helpful and can answer all your questions

THIS TEACHER RULES!!! This teacher gives pretty good notes, no need for txt books (except ref.), and and great delivery. But be prepared for class thats all to it and do any assignment or homework he gives you. It will help.

I took BUSM1285 back in Jan'08 and I enjoyed it so much I had to take his INTB2400 class. No textbook because he says there aren't any good ones so go to class for all his very interesting lectures. There is a presentation, 2 case studies -- one verbal and one written -- one midterm and a final. I also looked for to waking up at 830 for this class.

Oren Breitman was great. I took Business law at langara, and he made it really clear and easy to understand. The only part that was difficult was Real Estate Law near the end of the course.

Best prof in Langara. Extremely helpfull, notes are clear, class is fun. highly recommended.

This guy is a great prof. I would recommend him. I had him at 8:30 in the morning and it was easy to get up for his class. All you have to do is go to class and take notes and you will do great in his class. If you don't plan on attending class then choose another prof. He is very clear and always has interesting stories that relate to subject

hes pretty easy as long as u attendent class and take lots of notes ull pass with a good mark. He doesnt even use the text book which is awesome like that book is like 800 pages. He makes class interesting and he pretty cute ;)

Awesome guy, totally nice and funny. Cool looking and textbook isnt needed; it just helps. Got a B- by trying a bit and going to every class. If I am taking time to type this, and you're interested in bus law, take him and only him cause he is the best. The classes at the end of the year tend to get boring because of the material.

As long as you attend class and pay attention, the class is very easy. He does his best to make the information interesting by telling stories and using funny examples. I recommend him as a professor.

awesome proff he used a powerpoint that he puts on the course tools online so you could miss class and just read that, but he makes class interesting uses great examples and kept me awake even in a 8:30 class. Highly recommend him. Simple mid terms and easy assignments. Just share textbook with another classmate - save the money

Awesome prof, it's like 2 hours of story-time! All the class material is related to interesting real-life cases and his own experiences working in law. By far my favourite and most engaging class at Langara to date.

Oren is a great teacher! Him being a lawyer makes class much more interesting, with the stories he has to share. Dont need the textbook, gives straightforward notes, read em and youll do fine on the tests, EASY & fun class!

He was an amazing professor. His assignments and exams are straightforward if you study. Book isn't needed much at all, but must take lots of notes in class. I recommend taking him.

Awesome Prof. Go to class, he only tests you on things that have been talked about in class. Make sure you log his examples they will help in exams. DONT BUY THE TEXT YOU WONT USE IT.

He is awesome! Makes vague terms really easy to understand because he gives you lots of examples. Really easy to approach for questions, never makes you feel like you shouldn't ask. EXCELLENT teacher. Definitely knows his material. Very knowledgeable about the course and teaches in a concise straight to the point manner. Always happy to answer any questions. Best advice SHOW UP TO CLASS. Fantastic teacher and would definitely hunt him down for more courses.

Terrific course, hes a great teacher because A) he is a lawyer and B) he gives you actual stories and facts you can remember on the tests which can help you pass. You must attend class or you just fall behind and the mid-terms are not that easy. Its a challenging class and i recommend you take it.

Best class I've taken so far at Langara. Goes over topics that will be tested in detail with examples. I recommend noting his examples used in class to relate them to the concepts when studying. Textbook is not required but I found some of the readings and cases insightful. Definitely a cool and interesting guy - Oren for Prime Minister!

I was only in his class for a week or so, but I was able to surmise that he has very pretty hair and eyes. He's also a great lecturer.

AMAZING prof. totally interesting course. as long as you show up every class and listen to his awesome lectures, you will do great. dont buy the textbook, he only uses it for one assignment, and he brings the book so you can just take a picture of your assignment. definitely take Oren! he has some funny stories.

Mr. Breitman is a very informative teacher and even without having a text book, he can still make you understand the essence of law. His voice, however, is quite boring. Good thing is that the cases are very interesting and you will listen to him and get used to his monotone like voice. By the way, the text book is not necessary.

Remember to study all his notes, 98% of the materials from the notes will be on the exams. Finally, Memorize and Memorize!

Oren is awesome. At first, I was really skeptical of his teaching style (100% lecture), but he is hilarious. I enjoyed coming to class and his descriptive stories to help you learn are a good laugh. Even his exam scenarios are hilarious. You DO NOT need the text. MEMORIZE the slides- it's the exam material. All 3 exams worth 30%. Great prof!

It depends on your memory to say whether this is an easy course. Lot's of memorization, which is difficult for ESL. He explains concepts clearly. All exams' stuff come from notes. If you have no problem at memorizing words in English (you have to make sure you can do like memorizing poem; a blank sheet to write all stuff down), then take it!

Oren Breitman is honestly a great teacher. His exam's are very straight forward and easy to study for as long as you attend class you should be able to easily achieve a high mark. Great guy to talk to if you don't understand any of the concepts.It is a very straight forward class. Highly recommended :D

Oren is such an amazing professor! He is very laid back and cool. His lectures can be long but he gives so many examples and information in class that helps with the midterms and exam! Highly recommend Oren for Bus Law. His lectures are awesome n he is hilarious. He's very open to question and I learn a lot on law and came to really like it n hope to take more law classes thanks to him. Print out his notes and come to class. He expands on his notes further in class. Book not really needed but good for any missed classes.

I thoroughly enjoyed business law, it was something I've always been interested in. The class was great and the exams were very clear and very based off his notes. If you're not good at memorization of notes then I don't recommend you take his class, however, if you are, I would definitely recommend this class for it is fairly straight forward.

Take this class with Oren, you won't regret it. He's a lawyer and also the best profs I've ever had. Lectures are fun, come to class, memorize the slides and apply to exams. Got an A+ minimal effort Going to miss his class he's just great.

Oren is awesome and is one of my favourite teachers at Langara. You still have to go to class as there is a lot of info covered on the tests, but if you study and show up to class you will do well. His exams are laid out super easy, he goes over everything that you need to know before the exams.

do not buy the textbook!!! only material tested is whatever is on the power point slides and he goes over it thoroughly. so don't miss class!! his lectures are fun and tests are very straight forward, memorizing the slides basically. easy A, one of my fav classes, great professor!

Oren is 100% there for you. It could be 9pm day before the test and he'll still reply within minutes. The textbook is not needed; you can study off his slides but is recommended to come to class as his lectures are hilarious and he does test a bit (very little) on lectures. The exam is easy but you should write everything you know even if not asked

Really enjoyed this class! Oren does a great job teaching all the material in a clear and easy to follow way. We gives lots of examples when teaching which makes it easy to remember the information. 2 midterms and a final. 1 written assignment & 1 oral, both worth 5%. Oren is an amazing prof! This is my 3rd year at Langara and he is by far my favourite so far! His lectures are hilarious and keep you entertained. He has so much experience in his field and has some great stories that you wouldn't expect from him! I wish he taught more courses! Not to mention he is a fox! Oh and DON'T BUY THE TEXTBOOK!

Oren is a terrific professor who knows how to make lectures interesting. Albeit classes are 100% just him talking, his good sense of humour makes it enjoyable. Matter of fact, it was so interesting that I did very minimal studying and got 92% in his class, mainly because I can remember exactly what he says in class.

One of the best professors for business law. He assigns 1 oral assignment thats super easy (2-3 min. max presentation at your seat). 1 written assignment that has the answers on it ( if you read ). Lectures are decent. 3 Tests and make sure you know every single detail on what you're learning. Mr. Breitman is great. BTW, no textbook needed. Yep.

AWESOME prof. Very very hilarious. He actually teaches real world applications of law, with his personal examples while practicing law. He wants people really understand this stuff. No textbook use in class. If you need it, the Langara library has it in reserve. He slightly fidgets. I wish there was an advanced law class. i'd take it.

One of the best prof I've had at Langara. Lectures are just so inspirational and amazing that makes me not skipping. Midterms and final are based on your memorization. You memorize all the stuff clearly and you'll get a high mark.

I love him so much! He's the sweetest. This is my first year in college and he made it much less stressful for me. Firstly, there are three exams. He is very clear on what you need to know. I sneaked a peek at other people's exam marks and I saw an 'average' of 30-53 marks out of 60. Secondly, there are two assignments - one written and one oral.

Hes great! Midterms are just testing all materials in lecture notes which are relatively easy. One thing that I dont like is that he doesnt like students ask him questions after class.
