VERY hard to understand. boring class.
A little hard to understand but a nice guy. Explains the material well and will help you out.
Explains the material pretty well, though sometimes is hard to decipher. A rather easy class. Test questions come straight from class material.
His accent is annoying, but the class is easy. He types out all the notes for you, and the tests come straight from class material. He's a nice guy, too.
He's very helpful, test is not hard
He is the most informtive professor, he knows his subject and delivered clear and consice.

He is such a great professor. His accent is just fine, and easily understood. And he's Turkish, not Russian!!
HE is a very nice professor. I was doing very good in the class but still ended up with a AB tho. I didnt understand that, but other than that, I would recommend him to anyone.
This professor makes me feel like I'm out of the loop. He asks questions without evaluating the answer. He rambles on and on and leaves you mildly confused. Hopefully you will buy the book and study hard outside of class. =(
This dude is dull personified.
Hard to understand sometimes. Tries, but boring. Lots of overhead graphs. Most I know try to study book for his three tests. Although a good point is that I thought I bombed the test but with an 82 I got an AB.
The course material is not hard but going to class seems liek a waste bc he rambles on and does not answer any questions. He knwos the material but is horrible at teaching it. Take this class but with a different professor
its not rocket science
One of the worst professors i have had. the accent isnt bad but it gets in the way. all he does in class is draw supply and demand graphs, nad doesnt explain how it applies to what we are doing.GO TO DISCUSSIONS AND FORGET THE LECTURE!!
very rude and more of a self-taught class
No Comments
all he does is draw pointless graphs and nod his head all day long
He's a really smart guy and he's very nice. But, he is not good at teaching kids intro econ stuff. Kind of hard to understand because he is from eastern europe or asia. He helps you out a lot with grades, I bombed my final and ended up with a B and I know I did not earn it-not bad.
tough material, accent makes it slightly harder to learn. nice prof but doesnt relate the material all that well. helps you out with grades, but the three exams were hard. ALOT of study time, but hands out good lecture notes to study from, kind of have to teach yourself because this class should really only be 20 kids, not 40
this professor has a very defensive attitude, and gets irritated easily - he is not clear in his lectures - and cannot admit when he has made a mistake - he told us a comma can be used as a decimal point in columns of figures, and this is just not so! - he does not have the right personality to be teaching - he should stick to being a CPA -
Yuck. Class is really boring. Hes tough to understand, and he doesn't make an already boring class any better. Avoid
Orhan is a pretty intelligent guy. He is from Turkey and he got his PhD in Germany. If you put some effort into this class, he'll help you out.
Avoid if you can. Heavy accent but can understand what he says. smart guy but stuck up on himself. 3 quizzes, 2 hard midterms and a bad ass final. got a C+ but if you go to all classes and study ur ass off u'll prob get an A. Plus owls help alot.
Choose a different professor for Accounting 222. He is difficult to understand, boring, and is not helpful. The exams are tough.
The exams are nothing close to what goes on in class or the OWLS. As stated, heavy accent is a drawback. I got an A in ACCT221 and have no idea what I will get in his class, find a different professor.
z Z Z Z Z!! puts me to sleep all the time and he has a hard to understand accent... you tell me if i'm wrong!!!
Hard to understand.. unhelpful when you ask a question in class.
Horrible teacher, do not have for 222. Hard to understand and teaches you nothing. Have to learn everything on your own for the exams.
Do not take this class if you can avoid it! He is awful and will put you to sleep in moments. He does not teach the information from the tests and you can;t understand what he will say anyways
Really not a great professor..No idea what to expect on tests and his grading on essay questions is unclear..He gets impatient if you don't understand something and is one of the most unapproachable professors Ive ever had.
DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS. I can honestly say that he is the worst teacher at this school. He does not speak english- and that is not a joke. If you ask him for help he does not help you. Absolutely ridiculous class and exams. Do not take it lightly when I say do NOT take this class, you will cry.
TERRIBLE TEACHER. WORST IVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE. DO NOT TAKE. He is rude, barely speaks English and doesn't know how to teach. He constantly talks about how easy he makes the problems (they're not) When students ask questions he gets annoyed and raises his voice over them, cutting them off and making them feel like an idiot for not getting it.
I had him for accounting 222 and he's the worst teacher ever. Can't speak or understand english. And on top of that he's mean and overly strict(for example: won't except homework if it's not stapled). DO NOT HAVE HIM IF IT CAN BE AVOIDED!!!!!!
Damnnnn this guy is the MAN!!! Starts off every lecture with..."Good Evening Friends, Welcome Back" and "YES" in the most chill accent ever. How could anyone not love that? Even though he reads right from the Powerpoints, he's still looks respectable every class with some high-class Turtlenecks and Ralph Lauren apparel. Orhan for President!
I don't know why everyone hates this guy. He's really nice, there's just a language barrier. But everything is clearly written out for you. Connect HW's tell you whether you're right or wrong. Tests are based on in-class material only. Attendance Mandatory but its not as hard as people think. Easier than Acct 221. Do HW and you'll be fine.
Even though he has an accent, he's easy to understand but the language barrier is sometimes an issue. If you ask a question he doesn't understand he just says "yes" and moves on. Exams are decent enough if you do the homework. Attendance is mandatory, which is annoying because all he does is read from powerpoint slides that he didn't even make.
I went to class the first day and was bored out of my skull. Couldn't understand him either. Once class was over, I whipped out my laptop and enrolled with a different teacher.
Terrible professor. Not clear at all, reads directly from power point slides and hates to clear up any points of confusion. Also messed up tons of people's grades. Avoid if you can
Unless you already have a genuine interest in accounting, avoid this guy. He does not provide any original instruction, he simply reads verbatim off PowerPoint slides that he didn't make himself. He does not explain concepts or address questions. You might as well take this class online since you'll be teaching yourself anyways if you have him.
Orhan is not as bad as some people here have commented. If you are a good student, you will not find him bad. Perhaps these students complaining are a bit lazy and want A's without doing any work. You will need to spend some time doing homework on connect but he does go through the material in class. Exams are not too bad.
I thought OA was an awesome professor. You have to attend class. He does read a lot of power point lectures, but you get practice exams at the end of every chapter to work on. After the exams are completed in class it is reviewed and the answers are provided. Exams are fair if your study. Take him !! Hes a nice guy too.
AVOID this class if you can. You will have a very difficult time understanding what he says. He doesn't even know what he is talking about, he just reads off the power points that can be found on connect. Make sure to keep all the material because he is known for messing up grades. In all, i can not stand this professor, he is useless to SOM.
Good morning friends. Orhan is a boss he grades really easy and is a wicked nice guy. I missed more classes than was allowed and he was cool with it. Plus he dresses to impress
Orhan was actually a really good professor. He does read off the slides but he doesn't read it verbatim. If you listen closely, he explains the material very well, despite his accent. His exams are very fair if you study well. It's a 200 class so don't expect any A's without work. Overall, it's a good class and very manageable.
As an accounting major I find orhan's class difficult and I have no idea how anyone else even knows whats going on. Not too bad but its just that you're going to have to teach yourself most of the class so be prepared for that.
Not that bad AT ALL. You should go to class and listen because he actually does explain stuff and the practice exams he hands out are REALLY helpful. Do the homework online too. Reading the book will definitely help but I found the class easier than 221 with Cathy Lowry. Exams are MC and some problems. Just pay attention and do the hw and problems
Orhan is not a bad professor. He can be a little dry but he provides you with all the tools you need to succeed. Attendance is part of your grade which is really helpful. The exams are designed to help you do well too.. some MC and open responses which he isn't very picky about. Hated 221 but loved 222 with Orhan
Orhan is a nice guy who actually cares about his students. Sometimes it is hard to understand him but his slideshows are very helpful and he is good about helping during office hours.
orhan is very reasonable, understanding, and fair. he grades the open response on the cost exams easily. study the textbook problems you do in class and also the lecture slides which are really helpful. no need to buy the book because no need to read it but use the online version to do hw problems. if you need his help, just ask him
Fairly easy course, however he reads the powerpoints verbatim and does not expand on the material. He is very poor at communicating if a student has individual problems with things like the technical parts of online homework's. Not a bad guy though and he is a very easy grader and there is only a mid term and final which are decently easy.
Get ready to teach yourself because he wont. Every week is same. read of PP slides he took from book day 1, day 2 finish PP and 30 min work on 1 problem which he doesnt walk you through. Teaches this class expecting you know it all since ur ACCTing majors. HW and quizes easy to get As. Tests are up in the air. No help nothing learned from him.
The only thing you will learn in this class is that he loves production plants. Also, you may think he is a BMW enthusiast, but they are all made up models. The entire lecture consists of him asking you if you have taken other courses previously, and when no one responds he will just say yes. You will learn nothing here except powerpoint slides.
Orhan is one of the worst teachers at UMass, how he even landed a job surprises me, he provides no help to his students, reads off the slides and demoralizes his students. I would never recommend this class to anyone. Take it online or somewhere else if you could.
2 exams, midterm and final. Honestly nice guy but not that great of a teacher. I felt like there was no correlation between what we went over in class, what was on the homeworks, and what was on the exams.
Always smiling, begins lectures with "Hello friends." Class is a bore, reads off slides and assigns problems to do in class. Really wants you to do well - Go to him with a question and he will explain concepts in more clarity than in class. Half of your points come from online HW and Quiz which is easy. Study hard for exams and you'll be fine!
Orhan is a great guy but honestly can't teach. Lectures are boring and repetitive. Nothing you learn in class is on the exams. Do not take him.
Attendance is mandatory, but the material covered in class does not help with quizzes or exams. Orhan repeatedly asks students who has taken ACCT 222 and is horrified by anyone who hasn't. He banks on the fact that students have already learned the material previously. This course is an elective and I would advise not taking it with him.
not a good teacher!
Not a good teacher whatsoever. Simply reads slideshows at you each and every class verbatim. Anything you learn you will likely have taught yourself. When test grades are low he seems to think its the fault of 50 students and not himself. Don't bother asking questions because you won't get an adequate answer. Decent guy but horrible professor.
Go to class and participate a lot. Exams are tough but he scales them. Orhan is a nice a guy and wants you to learn. He will call on you in class so make sure you pay attention and do the practice problems he assigns. I learned a ton in this class.
Avoid at all costs
I usually don't rate professors, but I had to make an exemption for this. He is a horrible professor, monotone, deep accent (the best thing about him), &does NOT want to genuinely help students get better. He favor students so if you take him get on his good side. He will be a professor for awhile cause of tenure. He should not be a teacher. Avoid.
Great guy, but a horrible professor. Definitely would never take again, and suggest to all Isenberg students/accounting majors to avoid. He has a very thick accent, and is hard to understand at times. Although he does scale final grades and tests, it is still an extremely difficult course when it shouldn't be. Most of the students are self taught.
Very nice man, terrible prof. Unfortunately his accent is a big issue, making taking notes in class hard. Exams are tough but doable, he expects you to study as though this is the only class you're enrolled in. Asking questions is a waste of time because he always misunderstands you and answers something you didn't ask about. Weekly hw + quizzes.
Worse professor in Isenberg, rude and not helpful at all. Keeps repeating himself; reads directly from the slides. no need to study the slides for the exam, for every chapter the powerpoint is like 100+ slides. You won't understand anything he said in class. JUST READ THE BOOK!!! Avoid taking this class with him if you can!!!!
Would not recommend taking this course with Orhan. He is very kind, but not a great professor. You pretty much have to teach yourself all of the material from the textbook before attending class, because class time is spent going over practice problems. Exams are very difficult and don't really relate to lecture. Nice man but not a good class.
Nice guy, once you get to know him. However, as a professor he is tough. His exams aren't the toughest in the world if you study a lot on your own. But, don't expect to get much help from his teaching or lectures.
The materials in lectures, exams, and homework/quizzes do not always relate to one another, leaving you stuck to learn a lot of the material on your own. He would rather cover a lot of material in a very little time than to make sure we completely understand. When most of the class does poorly, he doesn't think it's his own fault, but the students'
I hate him!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He's a hard teacher but if you pay attention to him and do all of your assignments, he teaches you a lot. Not a professor for the type of student that slacks off from time to time. Hard tests.
This has been one of the best classes I have taken . Professor Akisik makes the class enjoyable. The assignments are straightforward. Everything is arranged so that there is no confusion. Homework is a bit challenging, but doable. 5 quizzes and 3 tests. There was one small project. Just read throughly and ask questions if needed. You'll do great!
Orhan is a great teacher and loves accounting. He is hard to understand at times, but usually that does not interfere with learning the material. His class is a lot of work, but if you go to class and pay attention you should do fine.
Literally do whatever you can to make sure you never take an accounting class with him as your professor. Difficult to understand, hard tests, homework and group work all the time. Doesn't care if you do poorly sets you up to do bad on tests. Awful class.
Acc321 is a challenging and you have to work for your grade in this class. Not good for those who slack off. Professor Akisik is always available and replies to emails quickly, he is always willing to schedule additional office hours too. He wants you to succeed and will help in anyway that he can. Great Professor.
Very difficult to understand and hard his teaching methods are like he is too smart to be teaching to students.
He really wants his students to do well and will arrange for additional office hours if any student requests it. However, his exams are tough and you have to study a lot for them. There are a ton of group projects. The class is difficult and you will do a lot of work, but you really do learn a lot and he truly cares about his students. Great guy!
Orhan is a VERY nice man and cares about his students but the class is dry and tedious. 2 midterms that stressed me tf out and a cumulative final. Exams are just like practice exams. DO THE HOMEWORK AND QUIZZES even though they suck they're 30% of your grade. Buy the online book instead of the hardcover. Take this with someone else if you can.
he's my favorite professor in isenberg. he is a great professor who explains material very well, and clears up ANY confusion you might have. he is very accessible outside of class, and encourages you to see him if you have any questions.
Orhan is a very nice man and wants you to do well in his class. However, he is not the best teacher. He can be difficult to understand and may not answer questions clearly. He takes attendance in lecture and gives out practice problems so it is useful to go. Grading consists of weekly hw, 4 online quizzes, and 3 exams. Use his practice exams!
He's a good and friendly teacher. He gives you all materials and detailed powerpoint so you don't need to buy a book. The class is hard, but if you try your best and don't miss any lesson, you'll pass. Although class assignments are long and detailed, exams are short and not too hard.
Orhan explains things very clearly and will go over problems exactly how they appear on exams. His homework amount and exams are very fair compared to other acc professors. Very smart guy, and cares about everybody in class understanding the content.
Orhan expects too much from his students. He is a nice person, but he explains material very poorly. He does not actually teach, he shows you worksheets and then reads you the answers expecting you to immediately understand the concepts. He wants you to read or complete every chapter, powerpoint, and worksheets all between each class. terrible prof
Orhan is a very nice person and is accessible outside of class. However, class lectures are extremely dry (he reads directly from the slides) and the class is exam heavy (60-65% exam). Professor's explanations are usually unclear and confusing. You are better off taking accounting with another professor and avoiding Orhan
The whole class revolves around him handing worksheets and expecting you to learn by yourself. I had this professor twice because he is the only one that taught both classes and they are the two worst classes I have taken at Umass. Avoid this professor. He is nice like people have previously said but its doesn't make up for him not teaching at all.
literally I'm sorry he was the worst professor I've ever had. He never explained anything right and expected too much from his students and im sorry the language barrier is something that is really hard to deal with. Legit needed this class for my major and im struggling to even get a C. Would not recommend this professor AT ALL
Orhan is very caring and wants students to learn but homework is somewhat irrelevant and lectures can drag. I mostly learned from the worksheets he gives (he loves them) which are optional but very similar to exams so do them! He's pretty traditional teaching-style so a little tough to get used to but overall I really liked him
Traditional teaching style. Professor Orhan is very straightforward and ensures students understand the material. Gives students multiple opportunities for clarification and availability outside of class. If you are going to complain about difficulty then drop your accounting major. Do the work and you'll be fine
Professor Akisik is probably different than any other professor you've had before. Many struggle in this class because in many respects it's more than students are used to, like a cumulative final, but if you put in the effort he expects, the course is manageable. Please ask questions as he will try to clarify confusion. Problems in class will help
He's not as bad as the reviews say if you put the work in. It's a bit hard to judge because quarantine happened before both of our major exams, but it wasn't too hard of a class if you did the work. Also, He doesn't read off the slides anymore because he doesn't use slides. He's a good professor and will explain the material/help students.
Great professor, work for the grade you want.
Very difficult class! Professor is not always very clear and does not give any feedback. Lots of homework and you're going to need to work very hard if you want to do well
Umass should really be ashamed... He just reads off the slides and you learn absolutely nothing during his lectures. I know it isn't fair to hold language against him but he cannot understand most things that are said to him which makes communication hard. I was forced to take his class for my major but if you don't have to, definitely avoid.
Professor Akisik is the kindest man and clearly knows what he is talking about. If you are passionate about Accounting as your major and are willing to put in the work, you'll be totally fine. If you're not willing to do this, then don't take this class. He is not the best professor but he wants you to succeed and was always accessible for me.
This class is tedious and a lot of work, and it doesn't help that he rushes through slides. Homeworks are not too bad, quizzes are time consuming, and exams can be difficult. The class is manageable, so if you have to take him it's not the end of the world, but it would've been nice to have a different professor.
He is the nicest professor ever, however the course is nearly impossible to keep up with. The homework and in class questions are unrelated to exam material, and he requests that students study for hours a day as if we are not in other classes. Exams are blank sheets of paper where he expects us to create full financial statements, near impossible.
I love Orhan. Sweetest man ever. Yes, it's a very difficult class but that is not his fault. He tries his best to be there for students and holds review sessions every week and lets us do test corrections. He is very accommodating for his students and wants his students to do well.
I love Orhan but the class is difficult. Be ready to study a lot and homework's are time consuming. Exams are difficult so definitely study but he also allowed test corrections which helped my grade so much. He's always wanting to help and see his students succeed.
The worst professor ever. Kind of a nice guy, but he barely explains anything and expects you to come to class already knowing 100% of the material. Hard tests that are harshly graded, rarely any partial credit given
Does not know how to teach. The things on exam are absolutely nothing like what he discusses in class and what he provides for us to study. DO NOT TAKE HIM if you don't have to.
Far and away the worst professor I've ever had. Avoid at all costs!! Genuinely sets students up to fail. Exams are so hard and unfair, nothing like the HWs/practice problems. Repeatedly says that students should be studying every day of the semester for his exams? Acts like his is the only class we're taking. Sad because he is kind of nice
You need to put a lot of effort into this class to do well. He has a confusing way of teaching where he dilutes the course content with CPA level ideas. it is confusing to know what is on the exams and the exams are very hard. but to those who need to take this course, just know that you are going to put a lot of time into it.
As other reviews have stated, the exams for this class are exceedingly difficult but are manageable. He offers weekly in-person review sessions outside of regularly scheduled class time. He offers test corrections for a percentage of points back. Get ready to crank out every single practice problem from the book. Exams are usually on Friday nights.
Orhan is a nice guy and flexible for issues that might arise but his simply not good at teaching the material to students. 3 exams are open response, such as creating financial statements, solving problems etc. Intermediate I is such a dense and difficult course so be prepared to spend a good chunk of the class self-teaching. Good luck!
Do. Not. Take. This. Class. Honestly, genuinely, consider switching majors rather than taking him. I cannot believe Isenberg allows this professor to continue to teach. I barely scraped a C+ because I asked one of the other professor's for their videos from when they taught during COVID. If you do have to take him, 322 will be easier. I promise.
Orhan is by far the worst teacher I've had in my education career. He doesn't actually teach the lengthy material covered in the class, he just jumps right into showing us problems and expects us to know how to do it. When it comes to exam time get ready to teach yourself how to do these complicated questions and expect a low grade. Awful "teacher"
Doesn't know how to teach. can't explain the material if people ask questions. messes up the solutions and can't even tell you why something is the way it is. awful. avoid if possible. everyone's failing because he can't teach anything for the life of him
A lot of people complain about the difficulty of this class however I think if you're an accounting major there is no reason why you shouldn't get an A in this class. The exams are a majority of the grade but he goes over the problems that are going to be on the exam in class. The level of effort you put will properly reflect your grade.
I've had Orhan last semester for ACC 321 which was decent. For this class, study the questions he presents in class and you will do well. However, I tried the same tactic for ACC 331 and it's a completely different story. I have been studying the questions from class and it's different than the exam. It's very hard to know will be on the exams.
Orhan's a nice guy. Is he a good teacher? No. He makes you do problems in class that you haven't learned how to do and THEN explains them, leading to a lot of mistake correcting. His exams are unnecessarily difficult and he ended up curving the grades at the end of the semester.
Prof Orhan really is a nice guy. But this was the worst class I've ever taken. Exams are near impossible. No study guides or anything. Attendance is mandatory but you don't even learn material, you do practice questions and he calls on random people for answers. Please just do yourself a favor and DONT TAKE THIS CLASS
I had a 3.98 GPA before this class. Orhan is nice but a horrible professor.
He uses class time to go over practice problems and explain concepts from McGraw-Hill Slides. He expects students to have gone over problems prior to class. The exams are hard but he provides practice problems to what will be on the exam. Expect to spend a lot of time working for this class but if you want a career in accounting it is worth it.
Orhan is very nice but can't teach. Just points at slides and doesn't actually walk through problems. The concepts are hard, but you must spend a lot of time teaching yourself. His lectures are boring, he burns through slides and points at things. Exams are hard, GO TO THE REVIEW SESSIONS. The problems are very similar to the ones on the exam.
Not being a business major of any sort, I found the class to be relatively easy. Attendance was taken each class, homeworks were somewhat difficult, and the exams were easy as long as you study and understand the material. The lectures are kind of useful, however he is a little difficult to understand at times but he does go over many examples.
Lectures are not useful at all, he reads off of slides that the textbook provides and provides little explanation. Nice guy, but exams are rough. A couple of projects throughout the semester that aren't too bad, weekly homework on Connect. Thankfully not teaching this class anymore after this semester, but good luck to anyone taking his new class.
You will need to read the chapter, he does not teach at all. I have learned a lot, but this class is extremely difficult. There are quizzes, projects, exams, and homework problems after every class (that are not in the syllabus he just thinks of them on the spot). He is very helpful in office hours, however. Utilize that.
Orhan is awesome! He is always willing to stay after class or see students during office hours to help. He gives practice exams which are super helpful (the exams are like the practice exams). Cheat sheets are also allowed for exams which help a ton. He is very approachable and wants his students to do well!
The other reviews for Orhan seem true at first. He is somewhat difficult to follow in lecture. But if you go to office hours your view of the course changes completely. He cares so much about you succeeding and will always give you something valuable if you talk with him 1 on 1. He's very genuine and the class becomes easier if you go to his hours.
Orhan is the worst professor I have ever had and its sad bc he's genuinely a nice person. He does not teach or do any problems out, he will tell you to just go home and do practice problems without teaching them and give the answers with no explanations. The exams are hard but you do get a notecard. He also doesnt post exam grades on canvas.
I lowkey fw this dude
Professor Orhan Akisik is the best accounting professor I've had. His ability to simplify complex concepts makes learning enjoyable and accessible. He encourages open discussions and provides real-world examples that enhance our understanding. With his unwavering support and passion for the subject, he inspires us all to excel in our studies.
You know you're gonna have a good day when you wake up and remember you have accounting with Orhan
Genuinely a funny dude, but a horrible professor. Pray you get a good TA, love you Hannah.
Accounting 🐐 The test are pretty much the same as the practice exams and you get a page of notes, super chill guy
Professor Orhan quite literally does not teach. He expects everyone to read the textbook chapter and teach themselves the material before each lecture and then just works on problems in class. Textbook readings are long and take a lot of time and effort to actually comprehend the material before each lecture.
When they say going to office hours is important, it really is important - so go! He's a super kind prof and you can tell he genuinely likes accounting. You def have to teach yourself the chapter beforehand(take notes on the pwp and then do the homework before class if you can) in order to best understand the lectures. sucks attendance is mandatory
Professor Akisik cares about his students, but unfortunately just isn't very good at teaching a class. If you go to his office hours, you'll see that he genuinely wants to help and is more than willing to take time to explain old concepts to you. However, this does mean that you're expected to learn 90% of the course material by yourself.
You have to teach yourself everything. Hope you have a good TA and use tutoring at the library (LOVE U LUKE!) Try to get into the class with the other teacher if not good luck.
Didn't learn anything from the professor himself. Went to tutoring at the LRC every week; they taught me everything. Expects you to teach yourself everything, in lectures he puts examples up but never explains how to solve them. Never taught basics of accounting. You'll have to do so much work outside of the class to learn material for exams.
Orhan is a nice guy, but he does not teach well. He does not go over any basics so if this is your first accounting class you will really need to teach yourself a LOT. He barely goes over the simple equations and only really does examples. He expects you to do all of the heavy readings and look at the long slides which is an unrealistic ask.
Orhan is fine, settle down. Get ready for a lot of work though in acc233, coming from a current STEM major this class is very time consuming compared to every other business minor class. Dude genuinely care though and you can tell. I would take it with him again.
Cmon, nicest guy ever. A lot of work for sure, however there is nothing difficult about this class aside from the material is something stale or too slow. Settle down with the negative ratings and checlkif maybe you aren't that intelligent if you can't figure out what he is saying. It is not like there is a single challenging class in Isenberg.
He's really nice and you can tell that he cares but he cannot teach... at all. You have to teach yourself and be expected to know it before class. Don't take this if you won't have a lot of time outside of class. He's not the best at explaining. The only saving grace were one page cheat sheets being allowed for exams.
Orhan was one of my least favorite professors, his exams were relatively easy but I never got my exams back to see what's wrong. He never gives partial credit and really boring lecturer. would not recommend him.
He doesn't teach in class, he just goes over problems. He expects you to read the notes for each chapter before class and come prepared. Nice guy and will answer questions but not a good prof. There are around 2 hw assignments each week with unlimited attempts. There are 4 tests and the only saving grace was an index card on the tests.
Worst professor I've ever had. Doesn't actually teach anything, just goes over problems in class. Impossible to communicate with, never understands questions when you ask them. Literally had no idea what a 'pdf' was when I asked for in-class study problems to be uploaded to Canvas. Why are we allowing awful professors to stay?
