fairly attractive! Very comprehensive tests. Extreemly comprehensive tests! I enjoyed her class, but I was the only Science major in her class. not the easiest of classes that is for sure. She is one of the better teachers I have encountered.

Great lectures, very easy to understand, and very passionate about what she does. I thought she was a great teacher with a strong disciplinary side. Attendance and promptness matters! In general, make sure you bring enough lead for your pencil.

Pretty woman- youngish 30's and dresses great. good teacher very comprehensive- be careful if you don't speek english as your 1st language!

She is extremely clear, prepared, and organized. She is very strict on attendance but this is one of the best classes i've ever taken.She has a great sense of humor but this is in no way a mess around class.Be prepared,take good notes, and you'll do gr8.

She is very tough. Be prepared to work really really hard. Lot of knowledge. Just be responsible and she'll give u good grade.

Very tuff class. Very tricky multiple choice test with Essay questions. Grades really hard. EXCELLENT speaker, EXTREMELY organized. Test are strictly off notes. If you take good notes and study the class isn't too hard, but an A is tuff to get.

She explains things very well

She's a great teacher - clear, organized and precise. She tests purely from the in class lectures, so if you take good notes and you study for each test, you can get an "A". I've learned a lot from her - I would recommend her to friends.

She is one of the best professors! i learnt so much from her class. she's really organized, as long as u take good notes and study, you'll do very well.it's not a joke of a class, but it's not hard as long as u put some effort in. it's worth it.take her!

bio is a tough class to teach, but prof kim proved me wrong! she is suCH a great teacher and as long as you take clear notes, you'll get an A. no other teacher could be as clear as she is. her 4 tests are based on her notes only.. make sure you take her!

One of the best Instructors I've ever had. She is extremely to the point and by the book. Even if you think your not interested in Biology, she has a way of making you possibly want to change your major..HaHa I highly recommend her.Not a Slacker Class!

TAKE GOOD NOTES!!!! Her tests are on her lectures and a couple pages in the book... you really dont need the book to get an A in the class... She's a lil nuts when it comes to taking tests and quizzes but you get used to her customs... She's a good prof.

TOTALLY CLEAR AND COOL! she uses analogies that are soo clear and she WANTS you to learn. I hate science but I love science now because of her. Even till now i can comprehend photosynthesis n stuff.

This professor is AMAZING!! She made science come alive through her passion and lectures in a way that I never thought it would for me. Take her for ANY subject and you'll be glad you did.

If you are a bio or science major thinking about taking the bio 21-23 series, you should definately take her class. I'm currently in bio 21, and i'm so glad that i took this class with her. she is very organized, thorough, and tough, but this class will definetly prepare you for upper level bio.

The best teacher i have had at SMC. She explains everything so clearly and manages to keep it interesting. You will want to be a bio major after her class if you are not already.

who cares about her appearance, I want a professor that cares and understands what an introductory course is all about. If you are new to Biology and want to learn something AND pass the class, DO NOT TAKE BIO 3 WITH THIS PROFESSOR

dont get sad if u do bad on the first test. it will kick you ass. i got a D, but still managed an A in the class. All you need to do is study the notes and do well on the weekly quizes. if you dont know something, dont be afraid to ask questions.

not an easy class, but bio isnt easy. she is very clear however and makes the class fun and interesting. you wont regret taking her if you're a hard worker!

I NEVER do well in school. I have a 2.0 GPA and I managed to get an A in her class because she is an amazing teacher. By far, the best teacher I've had at smc. She explains everything very well and everything she explains is easy to understand. BEST TEACHER EVER!

Professor Kim is honestly one of the best professors I've ever had. Yes this is a Bio + Lab and it isn't a breeze, however as long as you put effort into it and go to class it is not terribly difficult. Professor Kim is very clear, helpful, and extremely knowledgeable about the subject. It also doesn't hurt that she is pretty easy on the eyes :-D

One of the best teachers i have ever had. She will make you want to be a bio major and is extremely clear in presenting the information. I loved her and i'm sad i can't take her again. The class isn't easy, but it's worth it!

Class is very interesting. Her lectures are VERY CLEAR,+full of great examples. BUT her exams are IMPOSSIBLE! they're mult.choice+written essay, BUT you have 2 know the stuff as good as she. She says: take blank piece of paper& w/o looking, write down everything you know. She's a HARD GRADER&SCARY.She tries to be VERY INTIMIDATING. good luck!

Kim expects alot and therefore makes her test very hard almost tricky. She's knows the material and explains it very clearly but she's very hard and cares a lot about attendence. I think she takes points off if you do not show up to every class. She is extremely beautiful and smart,,,just a Hard teacher!!!

Excellent teacher. But be warned, you've gotta know the material, be willing to study it, and make sure you never get lost in this class. It's about detail and she really helps you on out on it. Her clarity and orating skills help greatly too. Good teacher, I definitely recommend her and if i had the time, I would take her Anatomy class too!

At first i thought it was going to be a terrible. hard tests and alot of material. But at the end of the semester i learnt that she became the teacher i wanted to work the hardest for! Challenging stuff but doable! I got an A

Prof. Kim is tough. If she doesn't like you, you're screwed. Labs are easy. ALL material in class is mandatory, even stupid aside comments, so you really have to write down everything!Participate in class and you'll get brownie points which help you during the lab, which is more subjective. Don't cheat, or look like you are,she's obsessive about it

i liked this professor. she is tough on tests and expects you to know your stuff! she is very keen on her subject and makes her class interesting. you do need to study, but be smart and study along and not the night before!

Lecturing style that was lively and somewhat fast. Lots of material was covered. She made the subject interesting and very fun to learn. Gave multiple choice tests that weren't overly easy but not too difficult as long as you remember the lectures or read the book. High-energy person... mucho respect for her

She is very clear in both lab and lecture. she uses lots of visual so you can get a feel of what going on. she answers all question very clearly and if she doesn't have the answer to your question, she will have it by the next class period. overall she is an outstanding teacher.

Dr. Kim is amazing! Her enthusiasm for what she does comes through in her teaching. She learns your name the first day and never forgets it. Attendance is mandatory and she runs class right to the end of the period, but if you show up, take good notes and study you will never have to open the book. I am not a science guy but I enjoyed this class.

She is AMAZING and CHALLENGING! *HINT* Form study groups and review your notes on a daily basis. The class is tough, but if you focus on those two strategies your bound to get a good grade. You don't have to read the book, it's a waste of time. Overall, It's an great class b/c she's so passionate, intelligent and entertaining. Thanks Dr. Kim!

I am a non native speaker, but still I could pass the class. Her class is hard even for native students. By the midterm, one over third of students dropped from class because they were lazy. She is energetic, so you have to be enegetic, too. All you need is highly comprehension.

She is the best teacher at SMC! I was dreading taking Biology but her enthusiasm is amazing! She makes the material very clear and understandable. It's a tough class and you definitely can't be lazy, but she is the best!

Professional enthusiastic straight forward! 100% organized quick 2 return/grade work. Me = 18 credits + P/T job, currently borderline B+/A-. Not hard @ all. Go 2 class take notes & review B4 exams. Study group not required. It's not rocket science! If U can't earn a C something is wrong W/U! Exams/quizzes straight forward no trick ?. 100% recommend

She is hot in appearance and the lecture. If you r taking more than 12 units, then be careful. The class is full of studying, and u will be struggled to manage your time.

An amazing instructor; Engaging, confident, graceful, intelligent and beautiful woman. Very happy and helpful personality. Her class is challenging, so don't expect to walk through. The test have a complicated structure to prevent cheating, but it also reduces the number of people who pass by accident ('C' all the way down doesn't work).

Great professor. I received an A. The best advice I can give is, ALL of the exam questions are on lecture notes, so pay attention and write down EVERYTHING!!!. Read the assigned chapters before class. This makes it MUCH easier to follow along and understand the lecture material. Do ALL the work. She is sharp. If you don't she will notice! And STUDY

Gorgeous professor. Didn't use the textbook at all. She was unclear that 100% of test questions would be on lecture; so I failed the first 3 tests by studying the text. Had she told us from the start; that the exams were completely lecture-based, I would have gotten an A. Instead, I got a C and will no longer be going to UCLA. She's very cute.

I HATE science because I thought I was bad at it, but she makes it SO easy and interesting! I would have got an A if I knew the tests were lecture based(failed 3/5 tests, but still got a C!). She's very helpful and she stays after when she can, I wish all the teachers at SMC were like her! She's the best!

great teacher to take for a science-lab class. Crystal clear. All tests are from notes. Makes class VERY interesting. I hate science but loved this class bc you learn so many applicable things about life. Labs are easy, fun and interesting. She's extremely kind & always willing to help in any way she can. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for nonscience majors.

SHE IS AMAZING! The best teacher I've had at SMC. She DOES make it clear from day one that tests are based ENTIRELY from lectures. I took detailed notes, and attended study groups the day of the test and I got a high B in the class. GREAT class to take. She is also EXTREMELY helpful.

She is GREAT! hands down! she got PhD and woo, she knows what she is talking about. Kind of hard class, you got to study. if you study 3 hours a a day, EASY A! super nice, super smart, super awesome.

Personally, I thought this class was easy. I'm not a science major and I've managed to do extremely well. Dr. Kim is very clear and is always willing to help her students. There's never any homework but get ready to have lab quizzes every week. If you can just memorize the information you should be set.

Bio can be intimidating and Dr. Kim doesn't joke with attendance and grades but as long as you take very good notes and study ONLY from them you will do fine. I had no interest for bio whatsoever prior to this class and she made it fun and engaging. Take her; she may come off as a little too demanding but she's just expecting you to do your job.

Prof. Kim is an amazing teacher. She has her stuff together, for sure. She is very organized, and is always very clear about what she expects from you throughout the class. She is difficult, because she expects a lot from her students. I consider myself very weak in science, but I was able to earn an A in her class. It doesn't hurt that she's hot.

Amazing teacher, very hard class, goto put in a lot of studying. I thought I got 100% on nearly all the tests and ended up with B's etc. Overall amazing teacher, crystal clear and you'll love the class!

can be very intimidating but wonderful teacher. she made me want to change my major to bio. very very clear. tests entirely lecture based. no homework. lab quiz every week. 5 tests and a non cumulative final. scholars have two short 2 page papers to write and one group project. totally possible to get an A, just review good lecture notes.TAKE HER.

I thought I hated science before I took this class. Dr. Kim is very enthusiastic about teaching and she genuinely cares about life on this planet and she makes you care too. Her class is not hard at all if you attend all the lectures and TAKE GOOD NOTES. It is very straight forward and if you try, there is no reason you can't get an A.

This course is definitely worth your time. Just do the work, prepare for the exams, and go to class. All the answers are in your lecture notes and remember you're in college and not high school. You have to put as much work into as she does preparing the lectures all the while making it interesting and applicable. She does this well.

Dr. Kim is an excellent biology professor. She is crystal clear in her lectures and passionate about the subject. However, her exams are difficult and one must study the lecture notes to do well. You must work for your grade. Overall, good professor and nice woman.

I wish all my teachers were like Dr.KIM! She made me love bio! The only way I got an A was by recording lectures and listening to them and memorize every word she said, this is crucial if you are not super efficient at taking notes, but the notes are all you need to get an A! Not easy but u learn take this class before bio21 it'll save u!

Prof. Kim is great! Her lessons were never boring as she uses interesting examples that the class can relate to. She's really committed to making sure her students learn and succeed. I thought she was really nice and fair and as long as you study and take good notes it's definitely possible to get an A.

She is fair and crystal clear. Hard science was never my thing and this class was hard. But hey, it is doable if you're prepared and will to learn/ask question. Prof is strict, yet sweet and helpful. You'll learn a lot, I mean A LOT. Take it seriously and it will even help you in daily life.

I took this course as a scholars class and it does require a lot of focus and attention. She mentions this at the beginning so if you have other responsibilities and don't have time to dedicate to this class don't bother taking it. Overall great professor

Whatever bad review has scared you into NOT wanting to take Dr. Kim, IGNORE IT. Dr. Kim is one of the best professors at SMC. She explains EVERYTHING so clearly & makes real life connections to help us better retain the info. Labs are fun & interesting! Easy A? No, but it shouldn't be but it's not ridiculously hard if you just put in the work!

Dr. Kim is very knowledgeable and professional, and her lectures are great! She is passionate about the subject and she helps students get excited about studying life and science. She makes you think. I did exactly what she said on day 1: read the text ahead, made notes, took notes on lectures, made flashcards. It's a lot, but so worth it!

Dr. Kim is the best professor I've taken in the science's. Although I didn't do well in the course she managed to still help out in what she could. She is very detailed and very passionate about the subject. She makes lectures fun and interesting by relating it to daily life situation. Best science professor thus far.

Dr. Kim is one of the most inspirational teachers i have ever had. she cares about us knowing how biology relates to our world and why it matters in the big picture. tough exams but a sci class is always going to be tough.

Dr. Kim is an amazing lecturer. Her goal this class is to educate student's as to how to be mindful consumers and biologists. Definitely a great GE course to take. It is difficult though, she provides no study guides and her office hours are a little inconvenient if you live rather far. She is a very specific grader. No extra credit assignments

I took this class as a scholars, and it's difficult. Dr. Kim is tough, but she is fair. It is hard to find a professor that is as passionate as Dr. Kim. As a non-STEM major, I really appreciated her class and what she taught us. It's all knowledge that is incredibly useful for everyday living. She cares about students, you just gotta work hard.

Doctor Kim expects a lot from you as a student. She definitely has a fixed mindset when it comes to her grading criteria. She will ding you for little things, but in the end she's doing it because she wants you to have a full understanding of Biology. Her lectures are about an hour and ten minutes, it can be a lot of info but it's useful.

One lab, one discussion, two 30 minutes to 1-hour lectures every week. You definitely need to work and be punctual, but you will be fine if you do these basics. You could also use office hours to ask any questions. The Proctorio experience was pretty bad, but I've heard that SMC wouldn't be using it anyway.

Dr. Kim-Rajab is an excellent professor. She truly cares about her students and wants them to succeed. It was difficult material for me, but I did a lot of office hours and got a good grade. I highly recommend her for biology.

Professor Kim was kind, prompt with grading, and clear about course expectations. Extremely generous with extra credit and points. Given that exam questions reflected so closely to lecture material, doing well in her class is very reasonable should you invest the requisite time. The workload was on the heavier side and deadlines are fairly hard.

Really loved this professor. Very fair, very good at her job and knowledgeable. Understanding of the wide variety of students and knowledge gaps that people may have. If you put in the work you will do fine. She is much better than many other professors, especially in stem. She's firm but really seems to care which is the best kind of teacher.

Dr. Kim is easily my favorite professor! She's brilliant, articulate, and organized. Her class isn't easy, but it's thoughtfully designed to help you understand the material. She creates a safe and welcoming space. Make sure you know how to explain what you've learned. I loved this class so much; it played a big role in helping me choose my major!
