Great Professor, would absolutely take again. He makes everything very easy to understand and is always there to offer help. He is serious about attendance, but very understanding if you have to miss a day. Just try to be on time. You work on modules online and go in-depth in class. Exams are based of of online modules.

MR. Bruzual is really understanding!! You will need to put in effort. You will also need to buy the textbook its mandatory. Just show up and do your homework and you should pass.

He is a very respected and helpful teacher. You need to attend class (attendance is very important to him) and do the online homework. As long as you do those two things you are good to go! You do need to study, specially if you are not a Spanish speaker, but the notes are on the book. Tests are easy as long as you pay attention!

The book is online so is the homework we are given. It's given to us 2-3 weeks in advance.

He is always there to help you. If you pay attention and show up to class you will get a good grade. If you forget to do an assignment, talk to him and he will let you finish it for a better grade. Respect his rules and he will respect you.

Orlando was very concise in his lectures and gave us the freedom to learn on our own and was a very very good teacher overall.

He is very helpful to his students. Attendance is always required and if you do your work online and pay attention in class you will pass. The book is online no need to buy it, the test are not hard if you study your words and he will go over the tests and let you know what is in the test.

He made sure that we knew what was going on by making us participate. He always asked us questions to make sure we knew the material. interesting teaching style but it was helpful.

As far as professors go, he's definitely a special one. He's an eccentric lecturer so if you have problems with unstructured lessons, beware as he tends to jump around and follow rabbit trails (that usually end in funny/interesting stories). You MUST buy the book or ebook (which are kinda pricey) in order to do the homework which was all online.

If you need help he is always around! He goes fast paced but he will stop and explain if you speak up. He doesn't want anyone to fail so just speak up!!

Very easy class. Write a few notes and do the homework then it'll be an easy A. Sometimes the way he explains things can be a bit confusing but ask him again, say so and he'll fix reword himself.

Besides teaching Spanish he teaches us Hispanic culture which is very interesting and helpful information.

Prof Bruzual makes class very interesting. He loves to tell stories and has a zest for life. His lectures are interactive and he has no problem answering any questions you may have. He also gets back to you quickly if you contact him outside of class.

Tests are kinda frequent but if you take your time, read, and studied prior to the tests they are simple. He goes off on tangents frequently but much of time it is about culture and language so it teaches in a way. If you need to take this class along with working and actually have a life outside of school he is very understanding.

At first, It was scared of me thinking about this class. I think i will drop this class. But he helps me a lot and I like Spanish now. I can read and write in Spanish. I will take Him for Spanish 2.

I had no prior Spanish language knowledge to taking this class, and with that being said I can say I have gained a comprehensive understanding of Spanish from Professor Bruzual's easy to understand, clear, and concise teaching style.

Great Teacher Entertaining.

He is a good teacher with good intentions. Sometimes, with his accent it is hard to understand and it could be easy for you to miss information. Aside from that, he is a funny teacher that is willing to help you with anything you are confused about.

Professor Bruzual is an excellent teacher. Yes, he has a Spanish accent, but he explains himself very well and as many times as he needs to. If help is needed, just ask and he will not hesitate. He is a character so do not take anything personal. Communication is key with him so as long as you keep an open line of communication you'll be just fine.

He is a fair teacher. He wants you to learn and speak Spanish. He is funny! You will need your book online and have homework activities due every two weeks. I will recommend him anytime. Just do what you ask and have fun, while you do it.

He is a good teacher, but you have to make it to class on time. He is very strict about you being late to class. If he see that you putting effort in his class, he will help you along the way. Take his notes and you will pass the class. I have enjoyed it.

His lectures are fun to listen to. He pulls in outside resources - youtube videos that you can follow at home into his lectures. Goes through the textbook during lecture. Very helpful with assignments and preparing for exams. Would take other classes taught by him.

I'd definitely take him again! He helps you. If you want to pass you will pass. Made Spanish wayyyyyyy more enjoyable. He teaches easy and makes the material easy to understand.

This is my second semester taking Mr. Bruzual's class and I really enjoy it. He makes sure we understand before moving on. He also makes the class fun, but participation is required just as well as attendance. Do well on the online homework and you'll pass the tests.

Professor Bruzual is HILARIOUS! Sometimes I dont feel like coming to class and the only reason why I still go is because he brings so much life into the class. Everything in his curriculum is from the book, so it would be very difficult to pass without it. He truly cares about his students and will help pass if he sees that you are showing effort.

Professor Orlando Bruzual is Hilarious! He really is a caring teacher and he is very professional. At times he will come off topic and if your are having trouble catching the information he will lightly pick on you, but you will eventually understand the material. This professor is beyond caring about his students, and is well respected! He gives amazing lectures and prepares you for the real world! He is inspirational to all that he comes in contact with however, I am beyond glad that I had the opportunity to take his class and look forward to taking the next class with him! I gained so much knowledge!!!!!

I took him for both spanish 1 and 2, spanish 1 being the basic and intro it was easy if you studied and learned the material, spanish 2 had more homework but still easy material to learn. Tests are easy, vocabulary and writing sentences. He is a great teacher, my mom took him, I am taking him now, and my brother is taking him next semester.

The professor was caring and worked with us so we could do well. His syllabus agenda does change, but he did mention it. I know some people complained about the homework load, but I thought it was a good amount and was needed to learn the language. It helps to do the HW before tests. He taught us to understand the culture and language well.

Great teacher, really wants you to pass. You get some homework but you have 3-4 weeks to do 3 hours of homework and he gives 30 minutes + per class to work on it. If you try he will make sure you pass, he wants you to pass. I will be sure to take him again this fall.

I take his class for SPAN 1411. This class is mainly practicing on lab work. He gives 5 tests that along to 5 units, one paper with group work, and a final. He is caring all students, and willing explaining anything as you ask. Highly recommend to take him, you won't regret!

This was one of my favorite classes that i took so far. professor orlando cares about the students. he reminds me everyday to do my homework before the due date, and that is a really good thing. he never screams at the students , he is so kind. and the way he teaches is really amazing. he explains really good. i will take him for my spanish 2.

Professor Bruzual was so helpful throughout the whole semester. I took him for a 5-week summer semester and the class did not stress me out one bit. The class was mostly online homework that was done in the beginning of class, then it was all lecture. The textbook was a bit pricey, but its the only way to get the homework done.

He is a very funny and caring professor. He wants to make sure everyone understands and learns Spanish. When he is explaining he lets his students ask questions if they don't understand something. All the homework is in the VHL center online.

Excellent professor. I would recommend him to anybody starting Spanish. He has lots of life experience and personality that will lighten the class and make everybody ready to learn.

He like hearing where the students are at because it helps him understand what he needs to go over. Make sure you study vocab at home, he mainly goes over grammar in class.

It's really important to show up to this class because he takes roll every class period and it counts toward your grade. He is overall a very good teacher and is really funny.

Do the online homework and its hard to not get an A in this class. If you dont do the hoework it will be tough though.

As a Spanish speaker all the homework was easy for me. There is a lot of work though, especially if you have him for an online class. If youre a non Spanish speaker just make sure to listen and pay close attention. Dont be afraid to ask for help but sometimes he can get a little feisty.

Was a cool professor. All work was done online. If youre fluent the class should be easy but if not you should study cause exams were kinda heavy. A lot of hw but gave weeks to finish, even then he didn't count any work late cause he was understanding of other classes/work and covid. Had his feisty moments but overall i'd for sure take him again.

Professor Bruzual is really nice and his class was pretty easy. Since it was an online class, we had to buy the textbook since his entire class is based on the online assignments. There's a lot of homework but it's all really easy and short. It was a little disorganized at times but overall a really good class.
