great teacher!! class is so interesting. she kind, young and full of energy!! I recommend this class to everyone, you will learn a lot of interesting things!

She's super nice...and really, with all those profs that demonstrate their **** qualities more than they teach, that goes a long way. Teaches but also cares what class thinks...shows fascinating movies...recommended.

LOVER HER, LOVE HER, LOVE HER. She is not necessarily easy, but she is clear and interesting. If you study hard, you have the ability to excel in this class!

AMAZING teacher! She has been my favourite prof thus far at Mcgill. The class itself is extremely interesting and relavent. Orlee brings in fantasic films about issues we're discussing in class. She is very approachable, helpful and clear. Read and attend class - you'll get your A!

An amazing teacher - clear, eloquent and extreemly erudite, thogh I thing the comment she made about C. M. Brekher (Brecher?) was not very appropriate.

Interesting + brings relevant outside material into class. She should teach more classes!

I can't believe the negative comments below! She's my favourite prof - nice, interesting and funny - makes you actually WANT to come to class.

All I can say is that I learned a lot from her courses. I would take anything that she teaches - anything!

She's approachable and clear. Really cares about students.

It's all about class, and not so much about the coursepack. Pay attention take notes (and thats relatively easy to do, since material is pretty interesting). Really good prof, it's a shame she is leaving.

Wonderful instructor. Always willing to help and is clear with her explanations. I enjoyed the course very much, even though the paper drove me crazy! The class discussions went all over the place, but we were a lively class, so it never got boring. It's too bad that she's leaving; she'll be missed!

Orlee is just inspiring and refreshing to have as a prof. There are not many like her and everyone knows it. Its a shame she will not be here next year. I loved all her classes and she was great to talk to one on one. thanks orlee!

I had her for sociology of the media. just learned about it and she made essay exams very clear and easy if you studied the material. Highly recommend this very nice lady.

an amazing teacher, the best I have had so far

This is not the first course I have had with Orlee, I continually choose to learn from her because she makes sociology so interesting!Even her choice in textbook material is interesting. Extremely nice, fair, and passionate professor.Would recommend to anyone needing to take a sociology class.

It was hard to get into lecture at first, but after a couple weeks I started to really enjoy her class. As long as you go to lecture and pay attention you'll be fine. Shes very understanding and always willing to give extensions if you need them. DO NOT put off the readings though, you will screw yourself over trust me.

Even though I enjoyed the course material, she is a very unfair grader. She grades how well she likes the person instead of the exam.

I learned so much in this class that I use at my workplace. I'd take anything tout by her.

Overall, I lerned a ton. Sometimes Orlee tends to repeat herself over and over again which can get annoying but I guess it works cause the info sticks..... She's one of my top 2 profs at UWO for sure.

I had to work really hard for my B but it was worth it. I like that Orlee let us call her by her first name it shows that she does not think herself above us. She is an awesome teacher .

The first couple of lectures are just theory but after that it gets really interesting. Orlee likes to bring examples from real life into class and that makes it interesting. I take all her classes.

One of the best profs I have ever had. I learned so much from her. She is a great person and her classes are fun because she listens to what you have to say.

I love this class! Shes a fun teacher to have. She needs to get things back to us faster but otherwise shes the best prof I've had. I'm learning so much about the family....

Nice prof but really unorganized. She takes her TIME to return things. Our class took a midterm and did not get our grade until the second last week of school. She looks at her phone every 5minutes and says she's checking the time but there's a HUGE clock on the wall. Teaching methods are ok..kind of useless to go to class because she repeats thing

Orlee is the best professor I had so far. She is friendly and approachable. Her classes are always interesting and fun. If you pay attention in class , do your readings and prepare for exams you will do well. I hope to take more classes with her in the future.

Amazing teacher!! Her exams are only like 2 questions each and you always know what to study! I got a 93% and a 97% on them plus NO HOMEWORK! its amazing. definantly take her.

I loved this class. I only got a C but I still learned alot - oops, a lot is two words. She helped me a lot when I came to her office with a study guide.

Teaches thoroughly and in an excellent format. I really liked attending her class. Grading and the returning of assingments need improvement. Prof. Hauser kind of leaves your grade a mystery until the semester is over as a result of her not handing back papers.

Hauser is a good professor! She definately knows what she is talking about. There is a lot of material but it is pretty easy to manage. You take a lot of notes but never have daily homework. No textbook is used but you do have to read articles for use on the exams. Overall a very interesting class! She is very friendly as well.

Such a great professor! She has this great positive attitude that makes you feel good. All of the information she teaches is really interesting. She has you do reading quizzes but they were take home and you have plenty of time to do them. Two exams, written in blue books. Great class overall.

Orlee's class is amazing! She does such a good job of keeping it interesting and teaching the material in a way that makes it easy to apply in real life. She never has textbooks (all readings are ereserve) And she keeps the class light.. I definitely recommend her!

Her class presentations are EXTREMELY easy! Her lectures are oral which can be a bit difficult. She was really funny and entertaining! She had a lot of video examples that actually get the point across!

Super nice professor, down to earth and easy to talk to or go to for help. Assigns tons of reading, but the exams are based right off the lectures and reading.

There are some parallels between Dr. Hauser's course and Dr. Palmeri's rhetoric classes in Communication Studies. But Orlee's knowledge and intelligence is far superior to his. She's a bit demanding in exams and quizzes, but she's never unfair. Fascinating lady! Take her class!

Loved her

Very amazing professor. She is really understanding of personal issues that result in missed lectures. She's very open to new ideas for projects. I learned a lot from her and went out of my way to take another of her classes.

She is a slow grader but other than that she's an amazing prof. She makes you love what you are learning and really gets you to get involved.

One of my favorite professors. This class was hard, but rewarding. Hauser is super understanding of personal problems and will go way out of her way to help you out. Be ready to do a lot of writing, and make sure you read the assigned readings. Three hour classes went by like a breeze.

Love the way she set up the class - super organized. I also liked that she gave me personal feedback on assignments and such. She made her own powtoons for the class which was also pretty cool.

Orlee is an amazing prof. Her only downside is that she's a little disorganized. Very funny and great lectures. Three hour classes with her don't feel like a waste of my time. Take her!

Orlee is probably the best lecture I've ever taken. She is hilarious, but also stays on topic. There are group projects, but they are fun social experiments! I would 100% recommend her! Such a fun professor!

I love Orlee. Yes, she's disorganized, but it doesn't generally affect students. She tends to push back due dates and offer rewrites if things weren't clear. Very understanding and compassionate. Her lectures are on point and she always makes funny Canadian jokes. One of the best at UWO.

She made me love class! I loved the fact that she treated us like adults when it came to handing things in by making things due by the last day it made it easier for me to plan my schedule. she's really nice and funny to

She is great

This class was really fu n. I didn't think it would be but she mixes lecture with films and stuff and if you do the work, you'll do well for real. It took me a coupe hours every day and sometimes I skipped days and caught up on the weekend but overal it was fun. I've had her for other in person classes and she is pretty great there too.

Professor Hauser is a sweetheart. Most assignments due on last day of class. Take home final. Decently easy mid-term if you pay attention in class. Great quest 2 course.

I learned so much during this class! But beware, if you fall behind on assignments it can be hard to catch up - though I came to her and she helped me. I would recommend her to any one.

I take every course I can get withher. She's an amazing lecturer and she gets students so she uses examples we can relate to. I like her use of video clips to back up vocab. She's one of the best profs I've had here at UWO

She made the class really chill haha. Dr. Hauser is really laid back. One of the simplest courses I ever took. Just take her class lol You'll see what I mean.

Very boring classes, but very easy class. took 2 quizzes the whole semester and did one presentation. Not a lot of homework either. She says she takes off for attendance but I didn't get any points taken off. Easy A

Orlee is really chill. She doesn't assign much homework. She has online reading quizzes that aren't difficult at all, and the quizzes have unlimited time. We had 2 exams, both were online, open notes, and unlimited time (with the exam being due at least before the next class).

Now that everything is online cause of covid I thought that class would be boring but it isnt She's so good with online stuff. This class is keeping me sane!

I love Dr. Hauser. Can't believe she'sleaving. I'm going to miss her and the soc department won't ever be the same.
