I didn't like Osama at first, however by the end of the semester I loved him! He has a great sense of humour. He goes at a fast pace, however if you have a question don't be afraid to ask and he'll do his best to answer and clarify. He tells you what kinds of questions will be on the exam and prepares you very well.

Really enjoyed taking this class! He posts all his notes online with good examples. Is super willing to help out if you are confused on a question. His midterms were really easy, they were basically the review with a couple numbers changed.

His lectures can be fast-paced sometimes, but his exams are very easy. The questions are all examples that he went over in class with a few numbers changed. He tries hard to make sure everybody succeeds!

Fast-paced lectures but it really isn't necessary to go to class because his notes are so good. Expect the practice midterm to be almost identical to the actual midterm.

MATH 121 is for business students. I passed (late fifties) it because of Osama. He was always available in tutorial sections. He was very patient on my silly questions in math. He demonstrated all applications of math in business and economics problems. Strongly recommend.

Dr. Bataineh is one of the best professors at the U of S. The best math teacher I've ever had, hands down. I'm not a math/stats person and he really breaks it down for those of us who don't always "get it" right away. Hes a lot better then most of the comments say. He teaches the course material amazingly and makes sure his students know what hes teaching before he moves on. Assignments take forever and are only worth 5% but all his tests are almost impossible to finish in the allotted time. If he gave reasonable time for tests his class avg would be 90%.

Professor Osama taught STAT 245 great. His lectures were well structured and easy to understand. Very helpful and understanding person (and funny). Assignments are heavy and so is the exam. But overall the class was worth it.

If you do not attend his class you will fail as he only gives information in class. Also, tests and the final are heavy. Lectures are not boring, rather enjoyable and is easy to follow on. Textbook is not required at all as he covers everything in his notes and is very thorough.

This is a course in advanced calculus for engineering students, he is visibly knowledgeable and knows his stuff very thoroughly. Exams have some difficult questions but that is ok for any course in calculus. Osama solves a lot of problems in class until he makes sure that we understand all concepts deeply. Professor Bataineh is a great statistics professor. He takes time through online lectures to make sure everyone understands the material. He answers all student questions throughout the lecture & holds a weekly lab to answer any extra questions or give extra help. 2 big assignments and 2 midterms with a final, if you do the work, you'll do well.

Dr. Bataineh was thorough in his lectures, with lots of examples. Notes are posted on Canvas and are easy to understand. The three assignments were pretty sizeable, but are available well in advance and aren't difficult if you've looked at the notes/attended lecture. Grading was more than fair in my opinion. Very cheery and reasonable, I recommend!

The lectures are very informative and well-explained. As someone who hasn't taken math courses in 10 years since high school, he made it very easy to follow and learn the class materials and questions.

Great statistics professor! He was clear and made sure everyone understood the task/questions at hand. A couple of take home assignments, and a couple exams. Class is a breeze if you pay attention and do your assignments. Professor Bataineh is friendly, understanding, and respected.

Heavy weighting on the exams are the only bad thing about this prof (50% final). Although sometimes hard to understand, he is very laid back and chill. Definitely would like to take him again!

CMPT 260 is already known as a hard course. Osama is excessively professional, he did an excellent job. Exams were generally difficult but it is not Osama's fault because the course material is advanced and heavy. surely I recommend Osama very strongly since he is very decent and accommodating. It is important to attend class.

Took CMPT 260 w/ Osama. I had heard some horrible things about this class when cmpt profs taught the course. Osama made it incredibly easy. If you show up to class you will pass. The quizzes were straightforward. He grabs nearly everything from his lecture slides and slaps it onto tests. Would love to take a class of his again.

BEST. PROF. EVER. I've taken two classes with him. One was online and the other in person. He's hilarious, and explains things so well. I'm not the best at calculations, but he made it so easy. I got a 90+ and that's a lot for someone who is nit a fan of calculations. Take the class with him.

Excessively professional and helpful. He explains all material very thoroughly. This course is deep one in Biomathematics, and Osama makes it very excitable.

Prof Osama is very funny and engaging in the way he teaches. Assignments are super long and tedious but his tests are easy (you should get a high mark in his class). However, he had to speed through chapter 6 (optimization & related rates) and only touched on integration (chapter7). As such, I do not recommend his class unless you have taken calc30

Professor Bataineh made learning intro calculus a breeze (I did not take it in highschool). He explains things very clearly with lots of examples and made me laugh every class. His assignments and exams were more than fair. If I could take him for every math/calc/stat class ever I would!

We had the first quiz today. It was good and he prepared us well. There were 5 big questions. Hopefully I score 100%

Professor Osama does a good job of explaining Linear Algebra as it can often be challenging given that many students in the class do not come from a math/computer science background. He only teaches students what they need to know. His assignments are often long but they do a good job in training you to solve problems.

There is no reason for you to take anyone else if you want to take a course that is offered by this professor, I wish I had known about him sooner. I actually learned the materials from him IN CLASS. His homeworks are very tedious, he knows that too, but it's worth more in your final grade, plus one time he extended it 4 times even after the final

One of the best professors I've ever had. He is extremely accommodating and gives students all the help they need. Assignments are heavy but he is always willing to extend and give help. Questions that will be on exams are always outlined in lectures. For a class as inafmous as 260 he made it doable. I will always take a class from him if possible.

He is my favorite prof at U of Sask. Statistics is not easy, but his style of teaching is more than perfect. His notes are extremely organized, and he always answered every question anyone had. I'd take any class that Osama teaches!

AMAZING PROF! Stats is hard but he has great notes and explanations. Fair mark breakdown with 3 assignments, 2 midterms,1 quiz and 1 final. Was extremely clear with what was going to be on exams and what he is grading us on. Very approachable and answers all questions. Graded material fairly, in very good time and provided feedback.

Hands down best prof this semester. Class isn't super easy per say but he makes it feel like a piece of cake. Don't have to memorize a single formula for any assignments or exams which is blessed. Questions are almost entirely straightforward. Everything is lightly weighted which makes doing bad on one exam not detrimental. Amazing class/professor!

His grading is really fast and efficient. It normally only takes 2-3 days, which is super impressive. One of the best profs I had! 👍👍👍

MATH 224 was my favorite for this summer. Osama is a strong teacher who was able to explain material greatly in this difficult course.

Vector analysis is hard topic but Osama presented it very vocationally. Exams were hard which is admissible for a difficult course like MATH 224. I like to study with him again.

It's calc 4, you need to study to get a good grade. But, Osama is the kind of prof, to help you pass rather than actively try to get in your way. Very accomodating too.

Professor Bataineh is a great professor overall. Some of his notes are a bit messy and hard to understand. Do his assignments and write your answers on the exams the exact way he does them in his notes. His grading criteria is based on all of the steps he included in his notes. Exams are a little bit on the harder side, prepare adequately!
