As a freshman in college taking an online class, more specifically a math class, was very scary. Professor Borroto is very caring and understandable, if you need extra help with assignments he will answer your question, and even extend the homework. He also gives extra attempts on the assignments. He is amazing, I think everyone should take him.

I took him in my first semester in college and it was so amazing. He posts videos and his own powerpoints notes but i think with only the textbook you can manage to get an A . Easy A Professor. I took him for the online course; his first assignment was due the first day classes began, and I had work. My assignment was overdue and I wasn't aware I would only be given a few hours to do it. I tried to contact him everywhere and he never reached out. I had to drop him as a result. These reviews were very deceiving.

Sweetest prof I've ever had. He truly cares about his students and is so kind! Exams are easier than MML hw and all hw/quizzes are open all semester to improve on. Practice exams are exactly like the exams and he gets to class early to review before test. I struggle with math and he's hard to understand, but the benefits outweigh teaching style.

Professor Borotto is an amazing teacher. He explains concepts well, cares about his students, and wants them all to succeed. He is so helpful, and will repeatedly go over material even if only one person doesn't understand. It's definitely not an easy A, you have to put in work, but professor Borotto is there for you and willing to help.

Professor is pretty straight forward in teaching. It is clear he loves the work that he does. He is encouraging and will work with you as long as you put in the work. His best quality is patience. Professor Borroto cares deeply about the success of all his students. He is not afraid to spend a lot of class time answering questions, sometimes to a fault, in that the entire class could be occasionally delayed by one student. He offered plenty of extra credit and support and was personably and open to all students.

Also, the content on D2L is well organized so that you can easily find what you need (tech aid, videos, class presentations, and practice exams). I took Math 2412 not Math 1314. :)

I took professor Borroto for a summer precal class. It was one of the greatest math classes I've had. He does give a decent amount of homework but nothing intolerable and in the end he drops the lowest five. There is also optional homework that you can do for extra points. His test were pretty simple, he also does a class review the day before.

Professor B made the entire "return to college" experience unforgettable for this old lady. He absolutely cares about the success of all his students. The workload is manageable and he will give you all the tutoring support that you need. One of the very best Professors, truly!

Professor Rivera Borroto was very kind and professional throughout my pre calculus course. He stayed after class with me to answer my questions almost every day. We only had 1 mid term and 1 final. He gives lots of extra credit and very little homework. He even gave us snacks during the final exam!!! Professor RB is fantastic!

He is great, very caring, and attentive to students needs, slowing it down, repeating himself. I would say that the most difficult part about his class is his need to explain the multiple ways to do the problem, it got confusing, but he will go back and reexplain if you ask him to. HW will take you about 1 hr per assignment, so thats really it.

I took this course with an online application which I can say had surprisingly good outcomes. Initially I was a little nervous that learning online would be hard but the MML content was good and I learned easily. If you take notes on the lecture part of each unit you will be set for homework, quizzes, and tests.

By far the best professor I had, especially for someone who has trouble with an attention span. Despite that, I finished extremely well by the end of the semester and my best class yet. He does a great job at ensuring you understand the subject material, to the point where I can say this class was easier than any beforehand unironically.

I took his online precalculus course, and it was a lot better than I anticipated. He provided so many resources that if I didn't understand something, he had other options to learn it and he really wants us to understand the material. The material itself was hard, but if you have to take precal online, I definitely recommend him.

I absolutely love this teacher. He is amazing take him. Attendance isn't mandatory but it is part of your grade. he gives all the resources you will need to pass his test along with a test review. He also gives extra credit and he is very good at teaching., again take him if you can.

I took statistics over the summer and Professor Borroto was amazing! I always looked forward to his class. I am usually horrible at math, but Professor Borroto was a good teacher and made things make sense. He would repeat things every time someone didn't understand because his students' success is the most important thing to him.

Very straightforward, I feel like he doesn't take the time to explain everything well to his online students. Too much load work each week and gives us very few days to complete it. He is very nice but he gives out way too much work and doesn't explain everything thoroughly.

13 years passed since I last went to school, so I went into MATH1314 concerned that I would struggle and fall behind especially since I had to take this course online. One of the most active professors I've had he gives in depth videos going over all quizzes, tests, and exams and any additional problems you may have. He teaches you tips and tricks with the calculator, and is understanding of time commitment, and other issues. He gives plenty of time to remake quizzes, and homework, and keeps his course simple.

Great class to take if you're struggling with algebra there's recorded webex meetings if you can't make them where he goes over all the material for quizzes, and tests in detail. He's available in-person at the campus as well. The course is very organized with directing you where to go. Provides feedback to all students in discussion posts.

He was probably the best professor for Math I've ever had. I have taken Math 1314 3 times. Yes, 3 times. This was the first time I've understood majority of what I've learned. He's kind, and will do anything to help you if you or your grade is struggling. He granted +5 points on tests if you went to the review for them (they are 3 hours long).

He made learning math easy. He wouldn't move on in his lectures until everyone understood the material and went around the classroom to help students. There were plenty of opportunities for extra credit. The problems on the tests were similar to what was taught in class, so no surprises. I would definitely recommend this professor.

He provided a Webex meeting every time there was a test coming up and stayed with us until we got to the end of the review sheet and helped me whenever I was confused on a certain problem making the questions so much easier to solve, by showing step by step process on how to solve each problem by hand along with calculator functions.

He's very understandable about certain things and clear with grades.

Professor Borroto is great at what he does! He presents various formulas throughout the semester, and goes into detail of how the formula is derived, which allows for a much smoother application when solvng problems. The quizzes and some homework problems are much more challenging than the test but serve as a great preparation source.

Took him for Math 0242 and it's one of the easiest classes to pass. It's more like a basic algebra class that is supplemental for Math 1342. The professor is great and prioritizes in his students' understanding the lecture more than just finishing the lecture! make sure to do the test reviews as they are essential in wanting to pass the class.

Professor Borroto is one of the most genuine professors who wants every one of his students to pass the class and gives every opportunity as well. 50% of your grade is showing up to class, doing the hw (which he extends the due date until the end of the semester with 0 penalty) and doing the online quizzes for the hw (also no due date). 10/10 class

He was genuinely very nice. He came in clutch a lot of times when I needed it the most, my work schedule messed me up a lot, but he was able to work with me and help me get a good grade in his class. Definitely take him if you can!

Took him for Math 0242, enjoyable and simple class. Very attentive and makes sure you understand the lectures well.

He's a good teacher and easy to talk too. His lectures could come out to be a little lengthy and sometimes confusing. But he's really nice and one of the best options. There's a lot of homework but it's not due until the final day. He drops quizzes and bonus points for the final.

I would recommend him. He was very clear in his assignments and helped you if you needed it. His class wasnt hard at all coming from someone who has never gotten good grades in math. He reviews the tests before with the class to ensure you will pass. Great course, great professor!

I liked how the professor would take the time out of lecture to better explain a topic if we did not under stand. He also hold tutoring after class to help better explain sections and help with home work.

Look when i tell you math is not my strong suit i mean math is not my strong suit, Ive had to take this class twice and taking it with him on a 3rd go around just proves professors matter, or maybe he just fit my learning style! Hes very interactive and inclusive and constantly explaining things in different forms and makes math easy! Take him!

Many teachers have accents however we are in a society with many different cultures if something is not said clearly with accent or no accent I feel we should always ask for clarification and move forward. Professor Oscar Rivera is really nice and friendly. He answers most of the questions carefully until you understand it. I like his teaching style and helps me understand the lesson quickly and do the exercises easily.

I had the opportunity to take a mathematics course with Professor Borroto, and I was impressed by their strong command of the subject and clear dedication to student learning. Professor demonstrates a deep understanding of mathematical concepts and is highly effective at conveying complex material in an accessible and structured way.

Course homework and quizzes are through mathlab. If you are not great at math and need this course. Take him you will do great. Keep up with the homework. He has study guides that he will go over. Test are pretty much exactly the study guides. Just have to take the time to study.

Professor Rivera Borroto was a genuine angel! I'm someone who has always struggled with math and it's been a sore subject for me. He is an extremely compassionate and intelligent individual with a passion for math and a passion for his students' learning and success. If you need to take math, take him!

I would say this professor is very professional, he's always there when you have questions or need help and host webex for important exams.

I'm not somebody who has ever been proficient in math, this was my first ever college class I've taken as a graduate and I am so unbelievably spoiled to have this professor. Insane amount of bonus points for midterm and final, just do your homework. Professor is always accessible and very understanding. All professors should be like Mr. Horrors :)

We had two exams with homework being graded higher than quizzes and exams. I wouldn't necessarily say it's hard just really time consuming so if you want an A you need to do something everyday!

Took Professor Rivera as a 6 weeks summer course for precal. He did a great job in helping clear define questions and expectation. He responded to my emails in a timely manor. He allows for extra credit and chances to go back and redo assignments and attain a higher grade. The professor will help you as much as you are willing to be helped.

I truly appreciated how responsive and supportive the prof throughout the Precalculus course. Being an online class, it was great to know that any questions I had would be addressed right away. The prompt email replies made the learning experience much smoother.

Professor Borroto has been great through this whole semester. He's always easy to get a hold of and I've never had any problems with him! This class was a summer online course for me so it was difficult, but he truly made it better. There was lots of opportunities for extra credit (including 20 pts on the final) which was a lifesaver. Professor Rivera truly cares about his student's success. He gives lots of extra credit opportunities, drops some grades, and he is very flexible, understanding and helpful. There is 2-4 homework assignments per chapter through MyLab Stats (20-40min each), and quizzes, but can move deadlines. He also brings snacks sometimes. Take him if you can!!

Professor Rivera is caring and understanding. He does go by the material pretty fast, but if you let him know you don't understand he'll retrace his steps and help you understand. Professor Borroto is definitely in my list of Top 5 math teachers. He is nice, caring, and compassionate. In our first lecture, I was slightly hesitant on moving forward with him due to his strong accent but, Im glad I stayed. He made math look easy for us. As long as you do the MATLAB assignments and the practice tests, you will get an A.
