A very kind and polite professor. He is fair and never unwilling to help his students. If you like POSC or are worried about taking such a course because of the professor you might get, try to register for his course. You won't be disappointed.

Dr. Croci is one of the best Poli Sci professors at MUN. It was great having him for two classes in the summer. Always helpful and always funny. Such a great guy. Truly a pleasure having him as a prof. Wish I could have gotten to see more of the sweaters.

Dr. Croci is an awesome political science professor. His class discussions are always interesting and he always ensures students understand the material. I would definately recommend him. I wish he were teaching in a slot I could take this term.

This is my third course with him. I have not learned so much in my whole life as I have with two semesters with Ozzy!

Greatest prof ever!

very clear, fair marker, smartest guy I know, engage the class. Known to add geography questions on tests for bonus marks! explains everything BUT god help you if you ever disagree with the man.

Best Professor in POSC, and the best prof I had in 5 years at MUN! He's funny, approachable and concerned about his students. Take an interest in his course and you'll do good.

This guy is amazing! He uses everyday examples involving the class to explain political theory and IT WORKS. If you go to class, you WILL understand the material and do good. He holds the final in the last couple weeks of class to help your exam load. A+

Unfortunately, I find him a little too arrogant and condescending towards his students. However, his lectures are very to the point and he uses great examples as well as powerpoint slides. The textbook for this course is dry though, so try to stay awake!

Very impressed with Croci. Lectures were well informed, but still funny. Very easy to talk to and very helpful with assignments. Would recommend this prof in a heartbeat!

Great sense of humor & doesn't like suck ups.This man knows what he's talking about & doesn't take to butt-kissers nicely. If anyone in your class thinks they will become teachers-pet, they are in for a rud awakening (this will also be very funny)

Croci's Best Kind.

One of the best professors at MUN,if not in the POSC dept.His door is always open for students,extremely helpful with papers,good examples on topics,got to love the accent :),dry sense of humour.Do the readings,& get him to edit paper and you'll do great.

Best professor I have had at MUN. He really is out for your best interests. Take the time to see him during office hours and it will make all the difference. Excellent sence of humour! Eh-Boy!

I liked him alot, took his class 2 years ago and decided to do Polisci as a major, he's fun and his accent is funny sometimes. He tells stories of his homeland italy sometimes which put things in perspective, good prof!!!

Os rocks! He's always willing to answer questions or give you a pep talk when needed. And the man makes a mean plate of pasta!

Great prof...requirements are really clear and the course is spread out so its easier to do well! Go to class though, he hates when people miss class.

A nice guy, not too demanding (even for a 3000 level course). His lectures are interesting. I'd recommend taking him for an upper year course but not for his 1000 class. He doesn't like first year students, and seems to assume everyone taking 1000 is a first year student unsocialized to university life.

Unapproachable? While in Europe he would take pockets of our class out for food and wine, he coordinated pasta dinners and invited us all to his home for a reunion upon returning. I've also done courses with him at MUN and he was great. Unapproachable? Maybe if you show no interest in the course and know nothing about politics.

Nice man. But his multiple choice exams worth 10% are unbelievably long and hard. But he is very interesting and funny.

How can anyone say that croci is unapproachable. He is super nice and always says hello. He seems unfriendly but go to talk to him and u will see.

Dr. Croci exactly knows where he stands in Politics and who's side he is on. Always welcomes you to his room, and gives constructive advices. I learned alot from him and had some amazing time talking with him. He's a great guy.

exelent knowledge of the subject area

Croci was one of the best profs I have ever had. He was interesting and has tremendous knowledge of his subject area. He will go out of his way to help you if you put the effort in. However he expects you to do the work to get the grade and so people who don't put the work in won't do well in his course and usually don't like him.

I can't understand why he has been receiving low reviews. He is a very intelligent, witty man who is more then willing to go out of his way to help a student in need. I'm currently doing the course with him now and find that if you attend class and participate, you will do well. The MC are repeats from previous terms and hes helpful with the paper.

Take it from a past grad student...Oz Croci is arguably the best prof on staff. You people came to University to work and learn. So work, and learn. He expects a lot of you because the world will.

Dr.Croci is pessimistic and downright depressing to listen to. However, if you can manage to keep your frame of mind and not be jilted by the sombre mood of the class, you should do fine as the quizzes are very easy and he does a great job of grading the papers. As long as you can spell correctly and can put a coherent sentence together, you're ok.

Croci is one of the best Canadian poli sci profs. He is knowledgeable, competent and fair. However, if you are looking for entertainment, don't take his class. He is not boring (in fact, he is a super funny Italian), but the stuff he is dealing with is definitely not a joke. He is a serious, no-nonsense professional, not a college entertainer.

Croci is truly and intellectual. He is very honest and will tell you everything exactly as he views it. He encourages class discussion and is beyond fair when grading papers and exams. Please don't be fooled by anyone who gives him a low score and doesn't support their claim.

Very knowledgable

If I could marry this guy I would. He's an awesome prof and is hilarious, as long as you put in at least a little work and can string a coherent sentence together you'll do fine. I hope this guy never retires, I've learned more in the two courses with him then I have from all my other courses combined.

Great prof, very knowledgeable, Test submited consisted of 2 midterms and 1 final.. no assignments or anything. Also he reused questions from the midterms on the finals... Attend his class... read the required reading... and guranteed easy mark. (in Poly sci 2200)

I love this prof because you get so fustrated with him and his smart ass remarks that you work your ass off to show him up. Also, outside of class he's super cool. <3

LOVE Oz Croci. Don't be one of those students that think he is just "pessimistic," he is a very serious thinker whose views are the result of decades of study and reflection. A breath of fresh air after so many incoherent constructivists and naive liberals. His lectures are crystal clear and he's a "big picture" guy. Very fair & reads paper drafts.

Educated on polical science and is really smart

This is an amazing prof!! He only has 3 exams & a paper, no midterm or final. It may be hard to pay attention sometimes, but maybe thats just me because I hate politics! I tried hard in this course and did very well! Hes also awesome outside of class to talk to! I recommend this prof :)

Definitely my favorite prof so far. Interesting to listen to and actually cares about how students are doing.

Good professor and an enjoyable course if you like politics. Best part is only 3 exams and an interesting paper, no mid term or final.

I highly recommend Croci to anyone interested in taking his classes. He is extremely intelligent and insightful. He also has a good sense of humour and is willing to talk to students. If you can get him for 1000, you will find yourself with a great introduction to politics.

Absolute beauty, once you get a couple lectures in, you'll see how much of a gem this guy is. He'll send out slides if you wish. Exams are easy

This guy is fantastic! Recommend him to everyone. He has hilarious anecdotes that make his lectures amazing! If you show up to class and keep up well enough in the readings, you will do fine with Croci!

My favourite prof last semester! By just showing up and listening to him lecture you'll defiantly get at least a 70, maybe higher. He was an unreal prof, made going to class so much more enjoyable and he is the sweetest! He seriously is a gem!!!

He's an amazing prof, with good lectures. You don't have to read the text book if you pay attention in class and take notes. His slideshow covers majority of whats on the tests. However, he only has two evaluations over the term, and the final is worth 65%. But the tests are fair.

Osvaldo is a gem. He wrote the textbook so if you read that you will do fine in the course. His lectures are really dry, but he is funny. I only had one 35% midterm and a final, but both were really fair.

I really like Croci. I did this course in intersession, sometimes it can drag but I really liked it. If this is your major/minor he is a great choice. However, if you are doing this as an elective and you have zero interest in the course you may struggle. You need to go to class, he passes around an attendance sheet to sign every class.
