HE is the most helpful teacher ever. You have to show up to class because there are weekly quizzes but they aren't too hard. He gives easy extra credit assignments and study guides for the exams which is so helpful. You can reach him through email almost anytime to ask questions for upcoming test or assignments.

Mr. Larios-Perez is an amazing professor! He is willing to help you in any way he can. Gives detailed study guides that actually helps you on quizzes and test. The only professor I know who emails back right away specially when it's about your grade, study guides or in class questions. Gives tons of opportunity for extra credit.

Ozzy is a great professor. He really tries to get to know & relate to each and every one of his students. He makes a subject that might not be very easyfun for most people, interesting and exciting. Professor Osvaldo is very respectful to all of his students. For each quiz he gives you a study guide which is amazing and very helpful. He is also very informative in his lectures and labs. The tests are hard, but he give at least two study guides for every test. He understands illness and emergency situations as well. I would take his class again

His tests aren't difficult, most people probably didn't put effort in preparing for them.. Study guides are almost identical to tests, if you fail this class it's all on you. Take him!!

Ozzy really cares about his students and gives lot of opportunities to get extra credit, he's really helpful and really goes into detail during his lectures. If you're confused ask for help, he really knows his stuff and makes sure you get it too! If you don't take good notes, you won't pass.

Go to class and study for the quizes. Helps you but you need to want to be helped. At first I was getting mad Ds and Fs on the quizzes so I had to hit the burners so then at the end of the year I ended up with a B. He's pretty cool, I don't think I've ever seen him angry but I can tell when he gets sad because his students aren't trying.

Professor Perez is a great Professor to take for Bio101. He gives a lot of extra credit, the lectures can be a lot at times. The quizzes are moderate but he gives you some of the questions that will be on there. The class is an easy A if you listen to everything he tells you to do.

Ive taken a Bio 101 before and failed but with Ozzy it was so much easier and DO NOT make the mistake of slacking off youll regret it. I ended up with a D knowing I couldve done better he does not make it difficult to pass at all !! I recommend taking him for Bio101 Lab also!!

I took Ozzy two times. The first time I did not try, but the second time I did try. Ozzy is the best professor I have had so far, he wants you to understand the information. Just go in there and literally listen to what he tells you, everything he says is for a reason. It was a great challenge, he makes funny jokes to make you stress less.

Izzy was great. Listen to what he says and you can get an A for sure. Don't under estimate the reason for the re-do note book it helps a lot. I got a B because I took him during winter and didn't manage my time right. Always pay attention to your scantron. Wouldn't recommend to take in a short time if you have more than 1 young kid.

I took him for Bio 101 in the fall & dropped his class due to not studying. Took him again during intersession & passed with a B! He will answer all of your questions & he helps you get a good grade but its also up to you. He provides good study guides. Hes great & will help you if your struggling. STUDY its key!!! (just like any other class)

I've never been one to like Biology, but Ozzy made Biology so enjoyable. Ozzy is funny and he is really passionate about what he does. He wants his students to pass and he made that very clear in the beginning of the semester. His class is a bit challenging but you'll definently learn a lot. Just work for your grade and you'll do just fine.

Mr. Ozzy is soo great, Science is a weak point of mine but Mr. Ozzy is like Mr. Miyagi from the Karate Kid, gives you easy examples to relate to, gives hella extra credit, and you have nothing but respect from him. He's super nice and likes pranking the class a lot but is one of AVC's Gems take him for Bio you won't realize how fast it goes by.

He is an excellent professor. He cares about knowledge He is not required to be on camera. It's optional. Nothing wrong with turn on the camera to interact with the professor. If you have an issue with the background then Zoom has the option to make blurry your background. Homework and quizzes are help you to get good knowledge and grade.

Ozzy's a great teacher. Luckily I had him for both my lecture and my lab. It was an online class so obviously there was a bit more lecturing than if we were able to actually do the labs but he provides you with all the tools you need to learn the material. Prof. Ozzy definitely cares about his students. He has provided extra credit throughout the semester, he provides study guides for tests and his homework assignments are so easy. HW consists of writing summaries of videos that will help you with about 70% of the lecture and about answering questions provided at the end of the lecture.

Ozzy has great slide presentations and highlights all the important stuff. Make sure to take really good notes. He's very funny and the more you participate and have your cameras on the easier he'll make it on you. For us, he cut the last 4 chapters out so we could focus on the Final Exam. Use the study guides and PAY ATTENTION! Also, extra credit!

Ozzy is cracked at teaching BIO101, the professor throws in a couple of humorous jokes during lectures but overall he provides us with adequate information for the quizzes and tests. Taking notes and studying is mandatory just like any other class, so make sure to take good notes and pay attention. DONT cheat. DONT miss class.

One of the easiest ways of understanding and explaining the material. You do have to put a lot of work into it but if your not willing to learn then don't take this class. Professor Ozzy is one the best teachers and I would 100% recommend to take his class. From the first day he lets you know what is expected and how you can pass his class. Just like any class it is hard, but as long as you work hard and stay focus you'll pass.

I love how the professor Larios teach. He gives you all the tools to study and to pass the class. It is a difficult class but if you try hard you can pass it, if you don't pass it, it is probably because you are too lazy to study :) but the teacher teaches very well and his lectures are with images so that you understand better.

Took this class for the summer and I am happy I stayed through at one point I felt overwhelmed but with his study tips and the rewriting of notes I passed! He is a realist and very honest which I like. If you want a good teacher that cares about you learning and understanding the material hes the go to professor !

Professor Ozzy has by far been my favorite prof at AVC. He has been very helpful when it came to learning and grasping the material. He is also very caring and understanding towards his students and actually cares that they're doing well in the classroom as well as out of it. He is also HILARIOUS. Professor Ozzy is an amazing teacher. He teaches through his lectures and also posts them on canvas for you to go back and look at. He gives amazing tips on how to pass his class with an A. He does have homework and quizzes but all super easy. The 3 test are easy as long as you study. He does talk about food a lot so don't go to class hungry !

Professor Ozzy, he is well organized and a pretty funny professor. Although attendance is not mandatory it is highly recommended, and most of the grading is based off tests, but do not be alarmed his tests are pretty much everything you go over during lecture. There are so many pics of the material for the visual learner, while the written text highlights the main points in colorful bold fonts. I took this class spring22, the only reason you should not take this class is that he set the standard too high.He is organized and thoughtful in everything he does. The way he structures his PowerPoints made it easy to understand though the material was hard.Take him if you are looking to actually learn, not just memorize.I genuinely respect him.

Taking right now for Summer 2023 and honestly his lectures are so straight forward and he's so caring for his students. As will make jokes here and there so it won't be all too serious and the best part its that he lets us leave early well a good 30 minutes early which is pretty good so you can go study or go to your next class on time. I took the 6 week Summer course and I don't think I could have done it without Ozzy as a professor. It was lecture heavy, but Ozzy made sure that it was easy to understand. There were 3 exams and 4 practicums, he prepares you for them. The lab was fun, he made sure we all understood what we were doing. Thank you for a great semester, Ozzy!!

great professor but like some other ratings have mentioned, likes things his way and can be tough on grading. I turned something in, saw the feedback, corrected it, and resubmitted it. Suddenly there were more things wrong with my assessment and I could no longer resummit because the due date passed. I only missed 5 points, but what gives?

Professor Ozzy is a great person and a wonderful professor. I enjoy his lectures very much. He grades quite harshly, which will get very frustrating when your answer and the "right" answer mean the same but aren't the same words. Other than that (which is very frustrating), I learned a lot and enjoyed his class. Just play his game his way

He is really good at explaining things but expected you to grasp the concept immediately. He was a little dramatic at times when it seemed like nobody understood. His grading system is really weird as grades aren't on canvas. Does give extra credit for going to view your grade! Overall decent teacher, just needs to give some grace.
