Straight forward teaching, however, some questions on the exams are tricky. Know everything in and out to get a good grade.

Seiver is the man. That's really all you need to know. The two choadas with bad ratings for him above probably failed his course because they didn't show up. Seiver is a real funny guy, and knows his stuff.

I took this class 6 years ago and still think about it. I'm in law school now and this class and this professor stand out as the most amazing ever. I didn't want to take the class before I did and he almost made me change my major after. He is amazing.

The guy who gave hime a bad rating must be the guy who he caught cheating in class!!! He is the best prof I have evr had!!! Knows his stuff, dynamic and the best lecturer on campus.

I recommend him to everyone! He is energetic and teaches well. Show up to his fun lectures because that;s what's on the tests! The book helps a little, but you don't really need it. lectures 90% on test, book 10%. Does curve, but aim for at least a B to prob. get an A or B. Interesting, take it!! =)

This class is very fun and interesting. Seiver is trying out a new style of teaching, one that does not require a lot of stressful, lame and traditional work. Guess what? It's working. I enjoy going to class because he enjoys teaching it, and I learn enough to go back and tell my friends. Students in this class know more than the average person!

very easy class. he is a very energetic teacher. 3 easy mulitple choice tests. you dont really need to buy the book. it was one of the best and most informative classes i have ever taken. i highly recommend taking it if u need to raise ur gpa. all u have to do is show up and take notes.

I would definitely take his class again. Studied off my notes and got an easy A. His lectures are so funny AND related to class topics. I'm an accting major, but after taking his class I am considering a switch to EOH. His class schedule says MWF, but Friday classes are canceled. Seiver's too cool!

He is great! I learned more than any other class at CSUN. Well organized, stays current and is willing to admit he doesnt know something when asked a question he doesnt know. No BS. However, the class was not cancelled on Fridays but is partially online. Reading, quizes off of his web site for the class. Great idea with gas prices!!!

The best teacher I've had at CSUN, what a college class should be like! I took his intro to environmental health and now enrolled in his 353 class, because i loved him and his class so much!

HE IS THE BEST PROFESSOR YOU CAN EVER ASK FOR !!! PREPARE TO LAUGH YOUR ASS OFF !!! STAYS ON TOP OF EVERYTHING, TESTS ARE ALL FROM HIS LECTURES, YOU CAN GET AN "A" BY JUST ATTENDING HIS CLASS, TAKING NOTES, AND JUST LAUGHING !!! I HAD HIM FOR 353, 352 AND 453...YOU WONT REGRET TAKING HIS CLASS !!!

All of his classes are a riot but he has more expertise in this area so the class is fascinating. Take this class!

OK, so Dr. Seiver is one of the best teachers at CSUN, hands down. He makes learning actually fun and interesting. I have never learned so much from one class and loved going every day. He opened my eyes to so much and I really appreciated his enthusiasm and his love of teaching. He is awesome!!!

He is the BEST teacher EVER at CSUN. He almost made me want to change my major! That's how awesome he is. Even though I took his class 1 year ago...I still talk about him and recommend his class to every student I speak to. Easy, very fun, interesting, and even though there is barely ever any hw you learn A LOT and the info. sticks for good!

Doctor Siever is one of the most inspiring teachers I have ever had. Coming to his lectures literally made my week. The class was easy but the tests were hard. Just take good notes and study all of the cases. I wish I could take more classes with him.

i love seiver! he's awesome! i had him for 101 and it was easy; i got an A but for 352 it's was extremely difficult. the material wasn't hard, the tests were hard. just take REEEEALY good notes

Very fun, interesting class. The class consists of only 3 exams, which are pretty easy. There are some online readings and quizes. He doesn't like to repeat himself or to answer questions, so pay attention. Class only meets on Mon. and Wed., there is an online reading on Fridays. Overall, I learned much from his class. I reccomend him.

from day one you know it's gonna be great. 3 tests is all. study his note and the module quizes. he doesnt take attendance, but i recommend you go cuz most of the quiz is based right of the notes. friday is mostly like a internet class.

Only one word can sum up this teacher, AWESOME. he will do anything to help and is always encouraging discussions, and involvement. Really great guy, and his class is really easy. Even though it was an easy class, I still remember everything. Don't bother buying the book, cause there are a total of 6 questions on his tests from the book.

The best class I've taken at CSUN by far. It's the only class I didn't mind attending. Class is only 2 days a week...Don't buy the book...Take heavy notes from his lectures...he drops the lowest test score (there's 3) including 1 final that's not cumulative. You'll learn a lot, enjoy!

He is very good! I almost had second thoughts about changing my major. You only show up 2 days a week. Tests are from the notes and online module questions. Do not get over your head and miss too many classes or forget to do the modules. Great professor who is a Health inspector and knows his material.

Fantastic professor in the sense that he can easily capture your attention and clearly explain the lectures to you. Tests can be a bit hard if you don't study. And your grade is solely based on them. Overall, a very interesting course thanks to a great professor.

BEST PROFESSOR AT CSUN!!He is extremely nice and makes class fun.He gives 2 tests and the final.We have online mondays where you take a 15 question open notes quiz and you don't have to go to class that day.He makes the material super interesting he shares his personal stories which are funny you should definalety TAKE HIM!!You won't regret it:)

Great teacher! makes the lectures and material really fun and has lots of fun stories so you actually have fun in class and remember what you learn. As long as you attend class to listen to his lectures you'll do fine. There's some online work, but only because there is no book required for this class! The exams are pretty easy too.

I totally fell in love with the subject because of him. He is so knowledgeable, his notes are crystal clear, he is a fair grader AND he is so funny. Always go to class, take great notes and ask questions and you will get a lot out of the class. The information I learned will stay with me my whole life. He deserves to be cocky since he is so great

Seiver is very active. He always looks to engage all his students in the lecture. Even thought it might mean nudging you with a bit enticement. He gives good notes and a clear lecture. I always was excited to attend class and found that him teaching was one of the best in classroom experiences I have had in college. I highly recommend his class.

He is really fun and passionate about this class. He is very interactive and helpful. Our quizzes are online and we have only 2 tests in class. He hates when you miss class, because there is no textbook, only class lectures and the modules posted on moodle. GOOD TEACHER!

Class is not boring at all, I usually do the bare minimum to pass a class but this teacher actually made me want to come to class. Hes very entertaining and everything you learn is actually useful in everyday life. Test are based on notes; some classes are substituted by online modules.He doesnt take attendace but you need to go in order passtest.

Professor makes classes very interesting and makes you want to come to class however his test seem to be extremely difficult because it seems as though he tries to trick you, even though he says hes not. You get online days where you don't come to class and have online segments instead. Hes an amazing professor and you learn a lot but hard grader.

Professor Owen has inspired me beyond the subject. I ended up loving the subject! You have to study and read his modules that are written crystal clear for you! If you fail this class... you failed yourself. Take this class! The occasional online modules were a nice break from lecture. Read the modules take notes during class and you will be fine

Almost changed my major. Hes amazing. For all of my I try taking him as much as possible wherever my major has a class he teaches, i take it.

No homework whatsoever and you have 3 tests and half of this class is online and the online segment is just a quiz where you have the notes to it (have to get about 80% in each quiz). He is a GREAT guy, funny and very understanding. His tests are straight from his lectures and notes, the lectures are easy to remember because it is very interesting

I LOVED this class so much! He was very clear and always answered questions. You need to show up to class, since what he says for lectures are on the exams. He really enjoys the subject which made me like going to class, he made it fun. He also does this thing where he won't make you go to class and do online sessions which I thought was neat.

Seiver is one of my favorite professors I have ever had. Don't be fooled by his easy going and fun attitude, he makes you work for your grade.. but in a good way. His lectures are very interesting and the material is something you can take away and use in everyday life. This class really did change my life and I would recommend him to anyone.

Every other wednesday was an online day which was pretty simple just a quiz on some material he posts on moodle. Go to class and take good notes and you'll get an A!

He has a few online HW which were very easy. He even had extra credit. Show up, listen, take notes and you'll get a good grade. Wish I could take him again.

Professor Seiver is a great professor! He makes the class very interesting,his lectures are easy to follow, he is hilarious, he is understanding and he is there for any questions or concerns you may have. The class is not difficult if you pay attention and do all the assigned homework (there is not a lot). I highly recommend taking his class.

Amazing teacher really fun

I absolutely love Dr. Seiver! He is really funny and tries to keep everyone engaged in the lecture. His class flies by and he lets us leave 5-10 minutes early every class. If you're looking for an interesting class to take for GE credits this would be a great one to take.

YOU HAVE TO TAKE HIM! He is so funny and the lectures fly by. Only thing is that you have to show up to every class, because his lectures are what the test is on. Don't buy the book. The modules you have to do are easy, just print out the sheets he puts up for them. He is the best, I loved this class. Only three tests. His stories are hilarious.

Best professor ive taken by far. Subject is so intriguing that you focus without trying and he teaches with so much details. Make sure you show up and study before each test.

Owen was a fabulous professor. I honestly considered changing my major after taking this class because of how well taught the material. He's also hilarious, which makes lecture a lot more fun! With that being said, this is a really hard class. I got an A, but I really had to work for it. Your grade is based off of 3 exams.

Professor Owen is a great professor and is very enthusiastic when he teaches. Always has a positive attitude and makes lectures fun and interesting. Downfall is there is no textbook use so all lectures will be included in exams. Grade is based on 3 exams which can be very tricky... Overall great professor you learn many things.

I learned so much this semester from Owen. I really enjoyed EOH even though it was a little difficult at times. You don't use a textbook, so that is great. The modules are important. The test are based on lecture notes, and the second, third and final have questions from the modules.

Highly recommend Professor Seiver! He is so passionate and loves his field of study. Professor always made lectures so interesting. He is a great man with great stories about EOH. This class influenced my decision into changing majors.

He is very entertaining. He is very passionate about the topic which makes it very interesting. No textbook for the class very lecture heavy and you have to take good notes. 10/10 would definitely recommend
