Very patient; everything is a slow, step by step process with him. Very good instructor. Skips no steps. Grades generously (just show all your work and you'll probably get some partial credit!)

This is by far the best professor any one can ask for. I mean he is the best out of all the teachers starting from grade school. Prof. Ecevit will make you understand chemistry even if you don't have any interest in the material. He gives practice tests and goes over every question before the real tests. He's patient, helpful, and clear. I got a A in his class and looking forward to taking 202 with him and no one else.

Organic Chem is no easy feat. Ecevit teaches the material like you're in high school - he explains & gives clear examples & explanations. He's extremely helpful outside of class & wants you to do well. Gives exam review sheets & allows for cheat sheets....you still have to learn the material, but makes orgo not so scary anymore! Take him!

Professor Ecevit is extremely helpful and polite. He is the best professor I've ever taken in college. I would highly recommend him to any student, he is extremely helpful and kind. If you do not understand Chemistry by the end of his class you certainly will. Take him, he will change your whole perspective on Chemistry.

This professor was fantastic! I had zero interest in taking this course, but it is a pre-req for the nursing program I am applying to so I enrolled. Professor Ecevit was a very clear instructor and went through the material step by step and provided extra help when needed. He drops one lab, one quiz and one test. A blessing that I took his class!

He is a very good professor! He is always prepared for class. He writes notes on a computer, which are then displayed through a projector and he posts the notes online so that you don’t have to take notes. His explanations are very clear and he encourage you to ask questions. He gives you reasonable amounts of time to take his Tests and Quizzes.

Awesome professor! His class consists of 4 midterm exams, 5 Lecture Quizzes, long homeworks, Lab Reports to hand in weekly along with a weekly lab Quiz, 1 Cumulative Final and Attendance may be worth up to 5% of your grade. He is understanding & willing to listen to your struggles. He does not usually allow make-ups but is willing give a 2nd chance

This professor is Amazing. He is very helpful and easy going. He does not make his students feel intimidated and actually teaches the material so you understand. He does not use the textbook so do not even bother wasting money. I usually do not rate professors but it was a MUST for this teacher. I HIGHLY recommend him for Chemistry

Prior to taking this class I had ever taken a chemistry course I've left this class after 6 weeks doing 10 chapters spending multiple hours with Lamar the science tudor the course is accelerated and after it's over doesn't seem so hard the text are in the library just rent dont buy clear excellent professor the cheat sheet saved me I recommend him

Very good at explaining concepts. Tests are easy if you study his review. Textbook isn't necessary. Posts notes online and lets you use a cheat sheet for tests. Must take this prof!

When I look back at Chemistry 1, I feel he was a genius. I attempted and did my work. I had a rather regular lab partner also. He knew it was my first attempt at any Science class. While I did not get an ideal grade from him, I feel he taught well. He is the man for the course.

Really good professor. Explains the material so well that you don't have the need to use the book. Make notes on his power points, so when you go to blackboard you can download the class materials with his note on. He just great. If you're not good at science, he is the professor for you. If I could, I'd choose more good tags for him. Do not need to buy the book just get some copy the lab report page from library because he teaches this class with ppt that he posts on BB. What you have to do is just studying the ppt. It'll give you good grades. He's willing to give you more extra points if you need. U won't regret for this class

Best professor bmcc has. I only had him for lab not lecture. I didn't learn much in lecture as I did in lab. Ecevit is not only a great professor but a nice person too. Explained material well and helped us out a lot, if you get a chance to take him, please do you won't regret it. Got a A+ for the lab portion

He's a very good professor as far as being helpful, Goes too fast and hes serious about taking off points when your late. I advise you not to step out without him taking attendance because you will get points off even if your on time. Have your labs

Good professor and very clear lectures/grader but excess course work. Doesn't help that tests are always very broad and he works very fast. 25 question exams and 5 total exams, 5 pre/post lab every week and 20 question HW before every exam. One missed day of lecture will cause you to fail exam and some slides will be confusing. Very hard course.

The best instructor at BMCC. He made Chem 121 my best class and I usually don't like science, so that gives you an idea of how good he is. Very sweet and patient. Easy on the eyes too..:-)

He won't move to another point till he makes sure you understand the metrial .. 4 Exams , 4 Homework he will drop the lowest . the exams aren't hard .. He gives extra credit.. I took the Summer course with him. His syllabus makes it very clear and shows you the breakdown of your grade. He utilizes blackboard for assignments and you'll be able to see your current grade during the whole course. He even drops the lowest test, HW, lab grades. Didn't need a textbook (Lectures are in PP), just the lab book. Explains clearly.

I was worried going into this class because science isn't my best subject but he made it very easy to understand. He makes sure everyone in class understands before moving, providing different examples to help. The tests aren't difficult as long as you pay attention and study.

First of all,he's so hot!! so i took chem over and choose him the 2nd time.1st time i dint understand anything bc i didnt put in the effort. But this professor actually made chemistry a bit easier to understand. He's so clear and his power points really really help. Everyone should take the time to go over his power points. Took the hybrid course with him; he posts everything on blackboard and the labs are very straightforward. Exams are similar to the homework and there are some bonus questions at the end. He's always available at his office if you ever need help/ have any questions. Definitely one of the best professors I ever had at this school, and he's cute too.

I hate Chemistry, but professor Ecevit helped me to understand it well during classes. In the end regard to his help I got 100 in the final exam.

I took him for CHE121 in the summer and he is by far the best!!. Professor Ecevit actually helps you understand he breaks things down in the best way! take it from someone who is bad at Science. TAKE HIM AND YOU WILL PASS. Chemistry is hard but if you really want to learn it, take his class. No textbook but Lab Manual is mandatory.

Clear and concise instructions and explanations of various topics. Don't ever be afraid to ask questions he's very nice. Also is very understanding on absences IF they are rare.

He is a really great professor. I took his lab class so his lecture class was online. Even though I only took his lab class, he took few minutes of his class to go over the lecture. His class isn't that hard if you study. It also helps if you study ahead and come to class prepared.

Took hybrid class lecture online, lab in class. Before every lab he gives a mini lecture to help with lab. Study well and you will get an A. He is very approachable. If you need help ASK he will give it.

His class was so easy, if youre not gonna put in an effort then dont take his class, his pre-labs and post-labs are online and you meet once a week to complete the lab in class and u can go when youre done, his lectures are pretty clear and hell answer questions no problem! He grades everything within the hour and posts it on blackboard

There is nothing much to say than TAKE HIS CLASS! . I'm taking a hybrid class and his lectures are clear and straight to the point . Pre lab and post lab online (5 questions). Homework also online about 20 questions. His labs are so easy just show up pay attention and do the work!

If you are not easily disciplined with self study, DO NOT take hybrid. In class lectures would have been a better choice for me. He does provide help when needed, accessible outside of class during his hours. Online Lectures did not really help me, but his video of test samples did. Lots of Math equations, he does provide information during tests.

I just finished his Hybrid summer 1 course and I loved it! Lecture at home, Lab in person. He goes over material in the lab and makes sure that you understand everything. Must have self-discipline in order to succeed in a hybrid course. If online classes are your thing, I highly recommend. He also does a non-hybrid class! He's awesome!!!!

By far one of the best professors I had. Always explained the material thoroughly. There was material that I had to review on my own but he always made all the materials accessible online. He was a very straight forward teacher .

Even though its a hybrid course, his online lectures are incredibly helpful and he puts a lot of extra videos to help you understand better. Great Professor, he make the material easy to Learn. The only thing that's rough is him not letting you make up anything, so miss an exam and your screwed along with homework but you have plenty of time to do hw in advance. Everything Gr8 except when you have an emergency & miss class. #sadly

Professor Ecevit showed knowledge, kindness, and compassion throughout the semester. He was easily reachable with any questions or concerns I had and he gave me full, clear, and helpful explanations for all of my questions. I learned so much in his class and am grateful that I happened to register for his class! One of the best teachers I've had!

He goes over multi examples to. He replies back to emails right away. I got a 100 on final because he gives a sample test which is similar 2 the real test. u wont regret hIm

Prof. Ecevit is the best guys. You should take him. He is very friendly with everyone. He cares about your success and helps you with everything in GENERAL. He makes zoom meeting one on one to clear everything you werent clear about. Im so disappointed that he doesnt teach CHEMISTRY 2 ( But Im glad that I took him. (Valla adam gibi adam be)

Omg!! I love this professor! I haven't attended school in over 12 yrs and never took a chemistry class in my life and I got an A in this class. You don't need the textbook but If you want to get ahead, I would. He gives so much material, even you tube videos. It is impossible to fail him! My advice, if you cant do this class just drop out.

Take this professor, this is somebody who genuinely wants you to learn. Grading is clearer than day. Homework is all due on the same day so basically no way you can miss a deadline. Exams are hard but just study for it. He has sample tests, do those and the homework and you can not fail. The sample tests he goes over each question in depth

Really great professor. I took his asynchronous class but he still took the time to explain the lesson for few minutes before the lab. Really respectful and caring of his students. I really recommend.

The great professor ever! He truly loves his job. Explains topics clearly. Provides the same review sheets. Very nice and kind person. Always available outside the class. He can explain over and over without getting frustrated. He gives 3 test and a cumulative final. You'll learn a lot from him and even pass with flying colors. He's a truly Gem!

This professor is a GEM! Hands down the BEST professor at BMCC!!! His class was hybrid but his online lectures were amazing and he would given give a small lecture during the lab in case we hadn't watched his videos. Multiple attempts on prelabs, postlabs, and hw; practice exams are practically like the real deal and you leave learning a ton!!

He is truly amazing! I thought I was horrible at chemistry but this professor made everything so easy to understand. All the lecture slides are online. He gave us multiple chances to submit homework online for full credit and the practice tests are almost identical to the real tests. The only way to fail this class is if you don't show up.

Amazing professor. Helps at all times. Has very clear and organized lectures and labs. Tells you exactly what's on the test. Plus, always an extra credit at the end of each test that's an additional 10 points. Overall, this is the best class I've taken in my college years, as long as you watch the lectures and follow along it's extremely easy!

This professor explains the material really well and makes it easy to understand. His tests are not too difficult — usually 25 multiple-choice questions plus one extra credit question. Lecture attendance isn't mandatory, but labs are required. He's very respectful, his slides are clear, and he always explains what you're going to do before the lab.

BEST PROFESSOR. He's really caring, patient and explains the lectures really well. He explains everything before the labs so if you missed the lecture before coming to class, you won't be too too confused on what do to. I would take him again if I could.
