I love PK!!! He is my favorite professor ever!!

I have him as a lab instructor. He is so funny. He is just like Ros from Friends.. looks alike and make sarcastic jokes. I wish i had him for lecture, because he is such a nice guy and a great teacher. He teaches well and tell you what is expected on quizzes.

Very good Prof. He adds little stories to the lecture which will keep you awake! Tells good jokes too, if you talk to him he is very personable, He does read off powerpoint and the room is dark so if you are sleepy...

I really enjoy coming to class everyday because he makes class fun and interesting. He is very organized and always gets our assingments back asap. Very cool professor should be your first choice!

He is a very nice, personable, funny, and helpful professor and lab instructor. He does add little stories to the lecture which helps keep you awake in the dark room. Just don't go to lecture tired. Veyr nice and helpful.

Awesome guy hands down! Always willing to help out with anything. Lecture can get a bit boring, but he always seems to spice it up with a joke, or silly story. I wouldnt ask for any other prof for bio! Definitely taking him for 122.

Prof. Klatt is a very nice guy, he wants his students to do well. He will help you a lot on in lab, and the lectures do get a little boring, but they are very imformative. 75% of the tests come from the lecture notes. I'm defanatly taking him for 122... great prof!

Prof. Klatt... is my fav. teachers!, he helps out upon request, and he tries to explain things in depth so you understand the material. Prof. Klatt is cool too, no lie, if you want to take a bio corse where you want to learn from a cool teacher this is the one. He helps out in LAB ALL The TIME, and overal A teacher... PAIX

I absolutely love prof. Klatt. He helps out all the time in lab, helps you understand all the material, and he wants you to do well. He is a very nice and approachable person! His tests come from 75%of his easy to understand notes.

The class isnt easy, but the way he teaches make the class seem that way. Hes a very nice professor. I see students come up to him all the time, because hes that nice!

Paul is a genuinely nice guy who wants his students to learn and get good grades, he is very willing to help. However, his tests are quite hard and meant to seperate out those who hit the books hard and those who didn't.

Professor Klat is a great teacher and a real stand up guy. He is very clear, makes the subject interesting and sticks mainly to the notes for tests. He genuinely cares about students and if anyone thinks his test are hard they should try taking one of the other BIO teachers like Fadoyomi. Her tests are insanely difficult.

All things considered, Professor Klatt is a decent instructer. He communicates the information well and seems to have a genuine interest in how students are doing. Sometimes he tries too hard to be cool though. To hear corny jokes and one way conversations between the teacher and his favorite students is not what I'm paying tuition for.

This man is hilarious! Even at 8:00 AM I didn't fall asleep during class. Lab was really interesting (especially when we went to the pond outside of town) and the exams were pretty much straight from his notes (which were very easy to understand). Really seems to care about how students do. I'd recommend him to anyone taking general biology.

I had Dr. Klatt last year. He is a great professor and a very nice guy. Hes also very approachable. I still talk to him everytime i see him! He cares for his students. He sort of resembles ross from friends.. personality-wise and looks as well.

Dr.Klatt is the best! He's a kind, caring, man who knows his stuff, specially when it comes to birds and animals. He also tries to get along with the students and realizes that you have lives outside of class. His tests are a bit tricky at times, but I managed a B+ in that class. Take him!!

I had him last semester and he was an awesome instructer. He has very instructive lectures that helped me to related to Biology other then in the lets memorize as much crap as possible that you normally get. The book sucks so pay attention to Dr. Klatt and you will understand it perfectly and will do really well on the tests.

He's a great guy, you get to watch the eagle before class on web cam and he will do anything to help you out if needed.

Good professor. He has a lot of knowledge in what he teaches. He gives you plenty of examples. The book kinda sucks.. it is a lot of reading and he chooses 2 questions from it. He is a fairly busy guy, but he will make time for you. Oh, and congrats on your engagement!

He is a great professor. Does a good job of keeping you awake during those 8am lectures. I would recommend studying ENTIRELY from the notes. Also, the person below me is right: The eagle cam is where it's at!

Dr. Klatt is a really funny guy and a good teacher. His exams are really tricky though. I don't think I've studied for a class more in my life than I have for this class. You're expected to know ALL of the notes & ALL of the book. Your grade is based only on his exams. I pulled off an A in the class, but I had to work REALLY REALLY HARD.

It is kind of scary to run into a biology professor who has retained a sense of humor...it makes me wonder how. But Klatt is an excellent professor, one of the most helpful I've had in biology yet. I am taking my biology electives with him even though I don't really like the class's topics. The classes are hard, but hey, it's biology! DUH

Great teacher, uses powerpoint notes for lecture and if you study those you will be fine. No homework or quizzes only 4 exams and they arent to hard if you study the lecture notes. Makes the labs fun.

Prof Klatt is hilarious! He's a really nice guy who cares about his students. He makes learning fun and interesting. He frequently cracks jokes during lecture, but you learn a lot also. I would recommend him to anyone and everyone. If I could take him again I totally would, in a second.

I took Klatt for 121 and 122. He is a really nice teacher who actually cares about what he's teaching you so it makes it much easier to learn. His tests aren't too difficult if you memorize the power points. Get Klatt for lab too if you can... having a different lab prof really hurt my grade. Klatt is very approachable and answers questions well

Dr. Klatt is by far the nicest, and most helpful professor I have had so far at Ferris. He cares about what he is teaching, and he cares about the students as well. Only three tests, but if you havent had him before they are a little hard to get used to, but you figure it out after the first one. Great professor

Dr. Klatt isnt bad at all, tests are STRAIGHT from the notes so look at those powerpoints hardcore, if u mess up a test then its hard to make ur grade back up, no extra credit. Class at 8am so it put me to sleep for sure. Just study the powerpoints and you are all set.

The best professor ive ever had at ferris! One regret i have from my years at ferris is not taking more of his classes. He is INCREDIBLY helpful and clearly cares for students. SO funny too.

Very helpful and friendly. Loves to joke around in class. Attending class definitely will help you in animal behavior. I would recommend getting the book and copying/studying the vocab out of it and examples in it not covered in class - that will definitely help you on tests. One of the best prof at Ferris and very passionate about his job.

My favorite prof. Lectures are interesting and he explains things well. He posts notes quickly and the tests are not easy nor are they impossible. He is very understanding. Not afraid to joke around in class.

Great class puts all notes very clearly on powerpoints for all students to access before the tests. Lab quizzes and exams are the only grades. DefinitelY recommend klatt to any student

Professor Klatt is an amazing teacher! His tests are pretty straight forward, but they cover a lot of material at a time. You will need to keep up with his lectures if you're not good at last minute memorization. I would recommend him above any other bio teacher though!

Grade depends on only four tests plus lab grade. As long as you study you will do well. You will get the grade that you deserve.

Klatt is the perfect example of someone who LOVES what he does and makes it evident during lecture. He throws in just enough nerdy humor to keep you into his lectures at 8:00 in the morning. Tests are all from the slides which he puts available online. Nothing pops on the tests that wasn't brought up in class.

Klatt is one of the best profs that I've had. He makes Bio lecture fun and interesting. He's not an easy A. You will still need to study, (just know your notes backwards and forwards) but you can definitely do well. Can't wait to take him for BIO 122

Dr. Klatt is a really nice and helpful guy! If you go to his office hours you will see that he is funny and willing to re-explain concepts covered in class. Lecture is structured in a way that did not fit my learning habits personally. But many people really liked the way you could just study off the power points from class. Rarely used the book.

He really is a good teacher! He knows his stuff! I honestly did not like his grading scale because I'm a terrible tester and grades are based on tests and lab grades and that's it. He is a good prof but I struggled with my grade in this class!

Klatt is my favorite professor so far. Truly cares about his students and gives great tips on how to study for exams. I bought a cheap textbook off amazon,highlighted the important parts, and it helped me understand the material better. He also likes to get to know his students names and help so make sure to stop by, even if it's not office hours.

Klatt is a quirky guy that'll make you laugh, his lectures are super long and will make your hand hurt from all the note taking but you can't help but like the guy. Don't really have to buy the book, maybe 1 question per test is a book question.

P.K. is one of the best professors I've had at Ferris. He's not only very passionate about what he's teaching, but he's passionate in the students learning. He will go above and beyond for students to learn the material and see its importance. His exams are strictly off his notes, which makes them very do-able. Great course, great guy.

Dr. Klatt is very passionate about birds, and you can tell he loves teaching this class. His lecture notes are very comprehensive and succinct. Just be aware that you're graded by few things, so there's not much room to mess up in this class.

Lots of content, but he's a great guy. He's my favorite biology professor. He makes it easy to learn biology. Study the notes and review lab from the previous week, and you will pass. His office hours are an excellent opportunity to get to know him and review biology concepts. I am retaking him for BIOL122.
