Good prof, although gives alot of info that she doesn't test on. Basically gives you all exam answers in lects, not big on text (except when she says). However, exams are fairly difficult.

Her classes were farely straight forward. She has quite a lot of stories to tell and her assignments were easy. She can be a little bit obnoxious at times though. But I guess you can say that's better than having a boring teacher. Her lectures end early a lot of the time as well.

Lynne is the best Psych prof I've had! I lucked into taking her class in Spring a year and a half ago and now I've taken 3 more of her classses. She is interesting, current, funny, relaxed, smart, and totally helpfull if you have questions. She gives you very clear guidlines as to what she expects from her students on exams and assignments. Awesome

So far the best teacher I have had so far at Grant Mac. She is funny, has a great teaching style, and is a really fun person. Go to the classes, listen, take good notes, and you will dominate her class.

She answers smart questions. There will be laughter in the classroom. Tests are not multiple choice so you have to know your stuff.

Awesome lady! Has a great sense of humour. You feel like you're having a one-sided conversation with a friend, not sitting in a stuffy classroom. But - do show up. She'll notice if you don't, and won't put in the effort to help you as much as with students who's faces she is more familiar with.

Without a doubt, the most charismatic and interesting professor I have ever had. we had very invovled classes. Open to questions and different p.o.v.'s than her own. I didn't have the time to take her 105 course this semester, but I had taken 104 with her before, and while I could have taken it with someone else, I audited through her, AUDITED!!

One of my favorites! She is one of the only professors I've had here who talks WITH her students and not AT them. Gets the class laughing each class and organizes the class in such an easy manner. You walk out of this class feeling knowledgable and happy. You don't even need the textbook for her class! Truly a wonderful asset to MacEwan!

Best teacher ever! Realy knows what shes teaching and makes it fun to go to class and makes you want to be in class. If you go to class and take good notes, your set for the exams. I had her in the fall of 2005. She was amazing! Lots of life experience to make science psychology come alive. When registering it is under P. Honey (she uses her middle name "Lynn" for class). Ask her about implanting a false memory when she was 17 lol.

Every one student should take a class for Lynne (unless you are easily offended). She has to be the funniest, most memorable prof ever--yet she really knows and is passionate about what she teaches.

Lynne was a pretty awesome prof. I entered her class with absolutely ZERO interest in the subject matter, and she completely changed my mind! I actually enjoyed going to every single one of her classes. Ditch the text though, her notes are ALL you need!!!

great prof! hilarious! I would take any course if she were teaching it, attendance is mandatory since there is no text book or Power Point to print, and if you do her "practice exam" before the midterm and final than it's an easy A on the actual exam.

I honestly just WISH she could teach every psyc class there is. Guarantee I would've had a 4.0 GPA just because of how amazing she is! Profs can either make you or break you; I've had ridiculous profs for the easiest classes and my grades were totally RUINED. This lady here is exactly what you need in order to succeed! LOVE HER! Amazing professor, has a great sense of humor and uses lots of examples to demonstrate concepts in class. Would highly recommend to anyone. Very fair marker and is willing to answer questions, so don't be scared to ask!

Lynn is the wonderful! she explains concepts clearly and makes dry concepts interesting. She is very approachable if you need assistance. Be warned that no powerpoints are posted online, so attendance is mandatory!

Honestly I can't quite recall which of several classes I took with Lynn as I'd graduated some years back, but in many ways she is the reason for my success post-graduation. I'm proud and honoured to have been one of her students.

Combo of online class and then activity in class.. really did not work for me. If you need a lecture to learn and cant do well teaching yourself, dont take this class. Quizzes every week, severe textbook use. The half online and in class is awful. Shes funny and sweet and so passionate about psych.

Lynne is a wonderful teacher! Her lectures are entertaining and she is always willing and excited to answer questions. The online videos can take up a bit of time, but she provides examples to help remember concepts. If you want to look forward to going to class then definitely sign up for her lecture.

Per week this class consists of 1 online lecture- didn't help at all, I would do well on the weekly online quizzes by reading the textbook. Without the textbook good luck. In class lecture consists of group activity, which is easy marks. Lynne Honey is really entertaining and got the main idea across well! Really knowledgeable. Term heavy course.

Dr. Honey is the best prof to take for psych. Idk what these people are on, but she is HILARIOUS and keeps the class engaged on the main topic of focus. Yes, the class is half online and half in class, but you work at your one pace on it. Also, the learning centre is always open for questions.

Psych 104 is an easy A if you are good at the online portion (completing the readings/online reflections/online quizzes). Only one class a week was nice as it was less stressful. She is hilarious and great at explaining concepts and giving examples, I really enjoyed having her as a prof. She is very approachable and her online lectures were great

dr. honey's lectures were enjoyable. very personable & friendly. passionate about psych & knows her stuff. online quizzes and in-class activities are easy marks. be prepared to read the textbook to study for exams as not much is covered in class. final review class was helpful as she gave a clear outline of what to expect on the final exam.

She has got to be the most amazing prof I have ever had! She gets respect from the students by relating to them and respecting them first. Love the hybrid course, lecture and mini exams online and then a 1 hour in class seminar/activity a week. She makes it interesting and motivates me to want to come to class. Take her class if you get the chance!

Not sure why people say they only used the textbook cause she told us the first day the midterm and final would have NOTHING on them that wasnt in the lecture videos, I didnt open my book once all semester. But shes amazing for a prof! Do the quizzes and the research participation, show up to class, do the reflections. EASY A! GPA booster!!

The hybrid course was annoying and hard to get used to, but I enjoyed her lectures. She was funny and personable and genuinely cares about her students. I would take her again, just as long as it wasn't in the hybrid course.

Lynne was hilarious! She is a great professor with an easy-to-understand teaching style and she always kept class interesting.

I absolutely loved the hybrid class. It was fun actually doing things rather than falling asleep in lecture. You don't even need to watch her online videos: just print the transcripts and highlight the important information. The tests are very fair and all the info is in the transcript. She's kind of quirky and swears sometimes, but that's okay.

Lynne was an amazing professor, the material was harder than I expect for an intro course but she does well explaining it and is extremely interactive. She's extremely approachable, and calls out the dummies in class which is always hilarious. amazing teacher.

I had her for psych 104 & 105 online and found she was quite good. Her lecture videos feel more personal and relatable. She is super sweet and talks clearly in the lectures. Course is super easy and she makes lots of helpful examples. (also everyone in the psych department uses her lectures for online covid classes, so she must be good!)

shes very lenient and nice, however it caused my downfall because none of her due dates are set in stone until the end of the semester and it's easy to get lazy in her class. lectures are ok but i've mostly been using other students notes and optional textbook for course material

As some people stated, Dr. Honey curses a lot in her lectures and she is very informal, so if you don't like that, she's probably not for you. I had heard that this class was very dry and boring, but she made it hilarious and very memorable. It was all lecture material (inperson/recorded) with take-home exams, so take good notes and you're golden!

She makes sure that your final unit exam is worth as little as possible if you show up every class (you get marks for showing up on a certain day in the week).

I took PSYC 104 and enjoyed her class very much, she provides video lectures which is so useful while studying for the midterms and finals. We are also provided with study guides to prepare for our exams and if you follow the guide most of the questions come up from that. The lectures were very interesting. Will definitely take her as a prof again.

Loved the diversity of evaluations in this class, prof was engaging, enthusiastic, and helpful, enjoyed the lenience of deadlines, the exams were very easy (scored 100 on most), as long as you pay attention, take effective notes, and focus on application rather than rote memorization, you will excel. Also very open to curiosity-driven questions!

If you have a chance to take one of Lynne's courses, do it. It is obvious that she cares about her students, and is extremely personable, relatable, and hilarious. Great prof. Clear on what she expects and gives great study guidelines so you know what you are in for when it comes to exams.

She teaches with humour and she makes learning fun. I loved her class, she really cares about her students grades and she tried to make it as easy as possible for us. If I wasn't taking 4 other courses, I probably would have gotten a better grade because of that. She also provides lecture recordings to give her students the tools to succeed

She's hilarious, passionate and she swears casually so the atmosphere is quite fun, and she records her lectures for all students so you can always look back at her recordings. She has simple class activities that count towards marks and her exams are similar to her lectures and study guide! I highly recommend her!

If you don't like profs that cuss and aren't "professional" don't take her. If you're not boring though, she's really amazing and passionate! Wish she had more info on her slides, but lenient with due dates and makes the material very interesting. Good first impression since I am considering a psych major, but take her even if its just for breadth!

Dr. Honey made her classes very entertaining and engaging. She provided in class activities that were mark boosters where you'd get full marks as long as you showed up, as well as the weekly online quizzes were two attempts were given. She was very accommodating and genuinely wanted her students to succeed as well as enjoy the course.

She is very understanding and really cares about people succeeding even if they don't continue psyc. Very funny lectures and enjoyable in class activities. forgiving prof and lots of easy grades.

Definitely my favourite professor I have had so far. Her lectures are super engaging and she makes sure you understand what you are learning. She encourages you to go to her office hours to communicate practically anything with her, and it is really easy to get help from her if you need it. Take her classes if possible

She was awesome, and personally didn't need to use the textbook. Super funny and you should do well if you attend and take notes, especially do the short answer study guide she provides! Some questions in there will be on the tests and final, just slightly reworded.

Lynne was a great prof overall; I think she delivered information very well and gave great examples to really understand the concepts. However, she marked incredibly hard on the tests which was really strange because she seems so laid back in class and then comes out and docks you marks on the smallest things.

She is a fantastic professor. I found her to be straightforward and engaging. The overall grade is based on three tests and the final. However, there are activities that you can participate in to reduce the weight of the final exam. I did not find the textbook necessary.

Dr. Honey was one of the best professors I have had at MacEwan. She is incredibly funny, makes the material interesting, and has clear grading guidelines. She is understanding of working students but still expected me to keep up with the classes I missed. Her practice exams are fantastic and really helped me prepare adequately for the exams.

Prof. Honey is engaging, but her tests are tough. Attend class, take notes, and use Unstuck ai or the textbook to supplement - it really helps with exam prep.

Professor Honey is one of the best profs she doesn't just read off the slides and she is very enthusiastic about her career. She gives out easy marks just by showing up and doing in class activities as well her study guides are pretty much identical to the actual test itself. Amazing teacher. If her PSYC 104 class is open, do not hesitate to enroll because it fills fast. Her slides are minimal so you can focus on what she explains, and lectures are recorded which helps a lot. Her grading is fair and forgiving. She is great, she keeps class interesting and is so funny. With her, the class isn't hard at all. You can tell she is genuinely interested in what she is teaching, she also is great at answering questions.
