This guy said it best: His class was impossible to me! He would lecture for an hour about nothing you could understand and then none of it was ever on the test.

He rambles in lecture and does not test on his material given in class. Freshmen Biology majors -- run away before it's too late!

This class is frickin' hard! I did well on the tests, but only because I studied like crazy!! He doesn't teach the material well at all. My advice to all who have to take him...read the textbook! Read the chapters at least twice and go over the important material in the chapters even more!

drop this junk. he is so freakin hard. i studied for days for his tests and still barely passed the class. he thinks his jokes are so funny, but no one ever laughs, if you want a class to sleep through, this one will definitley put you to sleep, but you will definitely fail...get out while you can!

Well, the positive thing i can say is that I caught up on some much needed nap time. Good thing i had a great biology background, b/c i would have failed if i didn't. He hated me for making an A, b/c he knew i took the tests and slept the rest of the time.

I hated this class. All i do is catch up on much needed sleep. I came to class a week late because i lost everything to katrina. I introduced myself and told him why i was late and he wouldn't shake my hand he just handed me a sylabus.

this class was BORING!!!! the test are okay you do have to study for them. i didn't like his personality. i went to his office about my grade and how i could improve and his response was like whatever. his sense of humor is boring. and the why he talks doesn't help to stay awake in class. don't take him if you don't have to.

I suggest you find breadcrumbs leading to another teacher. He is rude and makes a big deal when people are just a few minutes late. The class is boring and he gives you way too much material to study and then after you study it all, there is still stuff on the test that came out of nowhere.

The only good thing about this class is hearing him talk crap about the people that walk in late, HILLARIOUS until your one of them lol. Not to hard to pull a C. If you want an A though, good luck.

He paces back in forth throughout the classroom and makes random comments that few people understand. He is extremely hard to follow. If you walk in late STICK TO THE WALLS and do NOT make eye contact!

Very boring and dull. His tests are very hard. I don't know why he wants you to attend class cause his notes do not transfer over to the test cause he wants you to read everything anyway.

Do not understand lectures and guidelines do not follow the book at all. The test are really hard and not over the main points mostly the small things you usually look over to gain more time studing. Pay good attention to his lectures try to get every word.

I had a B and dropped his class. Quite possibly one of the most spiteful and vindictive ppl I have ever met. I think he does want anyone to pass. I am a 3.88 G.P.A. student not some give me the grade kinda person. This guy sucks trust me. He is rude and he is part of the reason I will change my major from Biology..........

He is a very hard teacher. All the stuff that he talks about in class is useless for the test. the averages on his tests were c's and d's (mostly d's). i would study for days and still make low c's. he's not a teacher i would recommend.

Mr. Ramsey is rude and is not a very good teacher to me. If you do the study guides it can help you a little but if you want an A I suggest you read every chapter. The only good thing is he gives daily quizzes every class that can really help you out.

good lord. i got to where i would zone out while he was talking. he rambles on about nothing. just take notes off slides and read chapters and youll be fine. incredibly boring. avoid if possible. but his test are pretty easy. and if you show up to take daily quiz, thats an easy grade.

Avoid if you can! The man definitely comes off as arrogant and does not have any manners. Taking notes and studying are pretty much all you need to do to pass, but his tests were challenging at times. Don't dare ask for help. Just accept that you're an idiot and move on.

Easily the worst teacher I've had while at Tech. He literally just sits up at the front of class and just rambles off about nothing. His test aren't coordinated with his study guides at all. Avoid at any cost.

Hard class but you can at least pass half the test if you know the study guide. The test are 90 questions long.The slides don't really help on the test. Class is very boring, he keeps you almost the entire time. DO NOT come in late, he will embarrass you.

I did not like him. He talked about random stuff in class that had nothing to do with anything in the class. Goo to class every day because of the daily quizzes, but dont expect to get a better grade the more you study because I studies for around 18 hours on one test and did not do well. You either get lucky on his tests or you dont

He rambles about pointless things in class. He expects his students who are taking an INTRO class to know a lot about biology beforehand so you are left confused often. His test questions are often unrecognizable even if you go over the study guide and read the chapter. I came out with a C because of the daily quizzes and attendance.

AVOID THIS PROFESSOR AS MUCH AS YOU CAN! If you can take another professor, please do. Show up for class and do the daily quizzes to help your grade. Class is boring because he rambles on about nothing. Tests are impossible.

This guy was Terrible. I went to class everyday, and studied for hours for his tests. You have to read the book to understand anything because he rambles about the material in a way you cant understand. He gives a lot of tests and a daily quiz everyday. His test are HORRIBLE and don't cover what he talks about. He likes to make fun of students.

Very tough on your presentation and asks questions about things you didnt even cover and expects you to know everything about your topic and random things related to it. Talks down to every student and doesn't even give A's. Very few B's as well. Not recommended for this class at all. He's interesting in lecture and adheres to grading though

Was all material I learned in HS with a bit more detail. Easy A with multi-choice tests and written daily quizzes (also counting as attendance) being the only grades. Ramsey really likes Biology, and is probably much better in a higher level course.

Unfortunately as a freshman I took Ramsey. Got a B in the class by shear luck. He's not very helpful, and a bit of a jerk if you come to class late and/or leave early. He did provide a study guide for one test, but don't count on much help.
