Dr. Rodriguez is a great teacher who wants his students to succed. There seems to be a lot of writing but that is only because it is a 8 week course. Simply do the worksheets and you reading and you will get a garunteed A in the class. Prof. Rodriguez is a great political science professor--he does not spew ideology in this class, he only seeks to motivate students to understand their ideology, and leave the class with a solid understanding of the nature of US and California government. I thought this was going to be another boring lecture class. Was I ever wrong. Professor Rodriguez kept the PACE of this class upbeat and lively. Knowledgeable, passionate, and informative, his approach to teaching was a breath of fresh air. You will walk away with a wealth of knowledge, and a greater appreciation for the American Political System.

Very passionate about our military. He is a good, guy and is willing to work with you, if you are are willing to work as well. It was a lot of memorization, but dont be afraid, he is fair and willing to give you extra points. His wife is very kind and roots for the class.

This is a very fair class. If you need Poli Sci 1 I highly encourage that you take him. I've taken this class twice in the past at different colleges and this one was by far the best. I got a B. He is very helpful. You will have to earn your grade though. He offers extra credit.

Professor Rodriguez, Paul is an interesting great caring teacher. He is a Veteran in the Armed Forces. I am a combat Veteran in the Marine Corps. He helps Veterans out like no other. I recommend this teacher to all students with a rating of a 10. He really cares and understands students, and will work with you and set you up for success.

This professor provides clear instructions and gives out fairly easy classwork and homework. Textbooks are rarely used in the class, but at-home-readings are required to pass the class. I enjoyed taking this class, and I am looking forward to taking more classes that are instructed by this professor.

Professor Rodriguez was an excellent poli sci teacher. I learned a great deal of information in the PACE class I enrolled in, so much so that I intend to add poli sci as a minor. He was very helpful and intuitive and his classes were always entertaining. You will do ALOT of reading and writing, and you will feel overwhelmed- however you will learn.

I liked this class as an 8-week PACE course. Professor Rodriguez can sometimes be hard to follow and a little long, but he often let us out early. His tests arent easy but theyre not hard either. He genuinely cares about taking care of his students, which is a really nice thing to find in a college professor. You will hear about the military a lot.
