Professor Graves was amazing!! He's the best chemistry professor at FIU by far! Make sure you take advantage of the many extra credit opportunities he gives because the class can be difficult. BEWARE OF THE SECOND EXAM!!!!!! The second exam is difficult regardless of the professor you take because they all have the same exams. 10/10 recommend.

Horrible teacher. I took him for chem 1 and 2 because of what people put on this site but not only does he vaguely explain things in lecture, but for our final I had to learn 4 brand new concepts and only 2/51 questions were on it. If you go to his office, be ready to wait hours because he literally lets people go in front of you to talk socially.

You have to come to class, he gives attendance points & if you miss a lecture you'll be pretty lost because he doesn't really use the book. Several homework platforms but not very hard. 2 exams & the final, not bad at all. Great professor!

Easily one of the worst professors Ive ever encountered. The amount of work he gives is ABSURD! Taking his class alone should count for like 9 credits cause he gives you work as if you were an online class yet you have homework to show every time you come into class. If youre a pre-med student he will keep nagging about you so be ready.

He is one of the best professors I have had, totally recommend him; he only has one class per semester and it fills up the fastest because he is head of the department and he is the best. Chemistry is a hard class but he explains it very well; you have to put from your part and study. The workbook is your best friend in that class; ask la for help.

No exams but various lab reports and a project. Only top 30-33% (6/22 students) will get an A so the grading is very harsh. Points get taken off only because not everyone can receive full points. The virtual labs are very difficult and TAs offer no assistance. No extra credit offered. Welcome to the Hunger Games, may the odds be ever in your favor!

He does not care about your circumstances. He does not specify when something is due and he changes his mind last minute so you can never get work done ahead or prepare as needed. Be ready for some backlash with him if you ask a question he doesn't like. His workbook does not have an answer key and he just solves them that day so dont miss class.

Not bad, the TAs help, so if your TA sucks the class becomes harder, try to switch TAs. Gives many practice exams to study and are really similar to the actual exam. Hw helps you learn the material.
