Take this teacher! Tests are EASY if you pay atention, and do some HW. HW load is not unreasonable at all. You can learn lots if you pay attention, and ask ?'s. Enthusiastic teacher. Easy on the eyes, too.

She is a great teacher. If you do all your assignments and go to class it is pretty easy. I enjoyed her class and learned a lot. She offers plenty of extra credit. :)

Waoh..such a great teacher.Do all your homeworks coz it has 35% of your total grade and study(read) the text book or her notes during hte lectures, for certain,you'll understand the material and get an A.Your energy will be paid off.

Not too hard. Pam's very knowledgeable of her profession. She's nice, helpful, & funny. Test aren't that hard if you skimmed through the materials & jot down the key points & had paid attention during lecture. An excellent professor to invest you time in.

Pam's really nice and if you asked her about something she will gladly explain it to you. Her class is easy if you pay attention to her lectures and take notes.

Pam was very excited to teach her class. You could tell by the way she interacted with us. If you don't understand something, just ask and she'll try to answer you as best she can. Her enthusiasm made the class more interesting.The class isn't hard especially if you know computers. She tells you exactly what she wants.ButAssignments are tedious.

Really funny lady!

This class has so much busy work and homework. On the plus side, the class went by very quick. She fills the time well, and is somewhat entertaining. I got high B's on all tests but the last one, which I got a low D, and still got an A in the class. Just be prepared for a lot of homework. Tests are not cumulative.

She is extremely helpful. I had one of the highest grade in the class. Show up to class, learn the materials, homework will then take 10-15 minutes. I go browse through each entire book before each test and it got me an A on each test. Pam is enthused about class and very sweet.

I truly enjoyed learning from this professor. She allowed me to join her class late, and I ended up with an A in the class. Just do the work and read. Same for any class. She is very organized, and clear in teaching her course. I highly recommend this professor to any student. She respects and enjoys her students, and will help you plenty.

Here's how it works. DON'T EVER TAKE HER SUMMER CLASS. IT'S HARD, LONG, AND VERY VERY MONOTONOUS. SHE EXPECTS YOU TO SPEND 60 HRS A WEEK OF YOUR SUMMER DOING HOMEWORK OR STUDYING WHICH IS BS. However she is very knowledgeable of her field and has a hot accent. You will also learn alot about computers. Again...Don't take the summer course.

The nicest teacher I have ever had.

I took her class at summer and really enjoyed the class. Though i got C by missing the last 2 weeks class. we studied Excel, Acces and VBA in this order with easy quiz at the beggining of the class.also have HW to hand in every class. Had 3 exams for each subject and i top scored for 2 exams but missed the last one but still passed with grade C.

Pam is there to help students all the time. The lectures are short and straight to the point making it really easy to understand. I get to work on the assignments when I have time which makes it so much better on my busy schedule. If you have an interest in html, i highly recommend this course.

Class is not hard, to pass her class you need to do all your homework and take quizes every week, and at least get "C" in 2 of the 3 Exams. Overall a very helpful and knowlegable teacher. You will know to write basic program, learn Excel and Database once you complete her class. Fair in her grading. She always on time, dress nice, and hot!!

Took during summer school.There were timed quizes and homework daily. Three exams during summer but grade is more effected by homework.everyone passed.Only two C's.Very fair.Take her, don't take it online like i tried the first time. Sometimes it seems like she's yelling at you, but she's not, you'll get used to her accent.Does speak fast.

Took her online Intro Web Design class. It was very informative, and well designed. She answered online questions very promptly. Her tests were hard, and she gives a good deal of homework, but every bit of homework we did was useful in learning the material. I give her high marks as an instructor, and would take any class she teaches.

This class is very demanding. If you don't show up to a class, you will have problems with future quizes and homework assignments. Don't be late otherwise she picks on you. Oh yeah, take murphy if you can, so easy compared to her.

Professor Barvarz is such a funny and energetic teacher. She really knows the material and is SO CLEAR about what is expected from you. 1500 points total means the class is demanding but if you want to learn how to use the programs then what better way then practice? I took two of her online classes 3 years ago. She is an excellent teacher and you will learn how to design a website, I still use my textbook! Take this class, get a good grade, learn something practical and useful!

The material is not hard but the way she teach is hard, quiz every week, hw every day, attendance is mandatory... i have no problem with getting an A but still have to put a lot of effort, should have taken Murphy instead...

I really like her teaching style. She is not boring like other computer teachers.

Expect to study the four books required for the class each week. Class consists of in class quizzes, homework, and tests. Tests are the most difficult part (expect to put many studying hours for the tests and make sure to pay attention to her lectures). Take her class if you want to learn about computers and not be bored.

I enjoyed taking the HTML class with Pam. She was available to us online students almost all the time.

I really enjoyed this class. I have taken other online classes that I had to drop because the instructor was never available. I really appreciated that Pam was always available for help.

Good, smart teacher, but picky!If you are late for the class 2 min, she will take 2 pts off your HW. But she was late for the class too couple of times. She gives 10 written Qns on the tests, which I think its overboard for CIS class. In general, you will learn a lot in her class.

Easy if you ask me. Some people had trouble because all they do on the computer is facebook lol.... If you have basic/medium computer knowledge, then you can get a A eassssssy.

This review is for an online section of CIS A123. Pam is very helpful and responds to message board and emailed questions promptly. My only complaint is that some quiz questions and assignments are vague or poorly worded. Overall, I have learned a TON about HTML in this class. It's not easy or hard -- I'd say it's fair.

Attendance is mandatory if you don't want to struggle with doing your hmwk. They way she teaches her material is straight forward. So if you go to class and pay attention, the hmwk she assigns that day should be a breeze. This class emphasized alot in excel, html, and access. 2 Exams and 1 Final

I was completely new to HTML when I took this class. As long as you read the required text this class is extremely easy. Does require you to do your classwork and you must allot time to sit and read the book. Overall, easy A.

She assigns an assignment at the end of the class but as long as you listened to the lecture beforehand, you'll get an A. And the assignments are direct and to the point. If you don't understand something, she'll check your actual computer and see what's wrong. Very helpful. Just do the work and you'll pass. Test was a little tough.

Took the class over the summer and can't believe how much I have learned in six weeks. Most productive six weeks of my life.

Good professor. I was struggled with quizzes. It makes you read a lot. If you need helpful professor, take her. Learn hard, don't expect extra credits. It's very low compared with total point.

She is great professor! Very accessible for questions or comments. I marked mandatory attendance, because she DOES grade for participation (weekly discussions). Quizzes every week, but they're mostly lecture based. The textbook comes in handy for the midterm, final, and sometimes the homework. Great instructor, I've had 3 classes with her.

Just finished her class this week and am already signed up for her html class. I learned a lot about excel and already using it at work.

The class expectations are entirely straightforward, and her lectures are really clear. I use excel a lot, so I didnt think Id benefit much from this class but I definitely have, shes great at explaining stuff. The way she explains HTML is really helpful too. Its easy to do well in this class. The books are pricy but theres a bulk deal.

She is genuine and provides great feedback. She reaches out to their students if something seems odd in their workflow. People like her are the reason why I'm grateful for the privilege to be in school. The material is nicely organized, but at times you'll find yourself puzzled. There are enough clues to figure it out on your own within time. GL

2 of the books are needed for lab so that you can learn Excel and Access. The other book is like a standard textbook in which you have to read 1 chapter a week; some of the words are highlighted and it is helpful to know the definitions and descriptions for the weekly quizes. Around 2 labs a week, a weekly quiz, a midterm and a final.

Took CIS 111last semester and enjoyed her class. She is a very caring teacher.

I am taking her online live class in zoom and I am really enjoying the class and the class format. OCC should keep offering zoom classes in the future. Very caring professor.

She's responsive (replies to emails asap) & she's helpful. Kind of rude at times. She's always there to help when the material is confusing & helps clarify. U need the textbook because the midterm was based on the book. Her quizzes r so easy. For hw just watch the lectures & LISTEN carefully; u will pass. Everything's well organized and laid out

You can learn a lot if you pay attention, she is very organized, sometimes kinda rude but always replies fast to emails. Just pay attention, practice as you watch the videos, and youll get an A. There is weekly quizzes and Hw, theyre considerably easy.

Her CIS 111 course was great, lectures were detailed, she'd slow down if a student needed to catch up. Attendance is important or else you'd be lost and confused. Ask questions if needed and pay close attention. Fairly easy HW, lots of quizzes, note taking is heavily recommended, and she did midterm & final reviews. Both exams are NOT open note.

Took this class over intersession and was pretty good. Her lecture videos aren't that long and they basically teach you how to use excel and access. Very straightforward class and she responds fast if you have questions. I really enjoyed this class since there was a good amount of work but it was too hard overall.
