This is a really great class. Professor is very helpful and really nice. No homework except reading, and tests are generally easy if you study and do the reading. Attendance mandatory or you won't pass.

Study the study guide, and you'll pass the class. She's picky about attendance though. She is well-educated and a nice person.

Lindell was an awsome teacher for the 2 anthro classes I took from her... She made the classes so interresting to me that I wanted to minor in Anthro... I love how enthusiastic she is about anthro and all the stories she would tell us...

lectures are too technical at times and make it hard to do well on test. She does give study guides, but they aren't really informative. Films are interesting. Nice intructor.

She is a really nice person who enjoys her job(which really helps a lot sometimes). She wants to be there everyday and truely wants her students to learn. If you like anthro, this class is good for you.

She is a very interesting teacher, she has lots of stories to tell. Her tests are somewhat hard, consisting of multiple choice and essay questions. But she does give you a study guide and has a review day to go over what you don't know. She's very into anthro and seems to like teaching a lot.

She is a very nice person. Homework - 4-5 "take home" discussion sheets. She gives extra credit of you attend anthro related events. Quizzes are easy if you read the book and go to class (take notes during her lectures). She does take daily attendance. I received a B in her class with very little effort.

Great teacher..She is hot, she tends to talk about borneo which is great I would love to take her class again..I totally dig her and her tatooe..She is a really nice person who enjoys her job(which really helps a lot sometimes). She wants to be there everyday and truely wants her students to learn.

This is the magic/witchcraft/religon class.

Amazing woman! Very interesting class(magic/witchcraft/religion) and she teaches it well. Tells funny stories and very she is very approachable. She has a great sense of humor and is passionate about the subject matter. Would love to take more of her classes. She is very laid back and understanding. One of my favorite teachers.

She's a great teacher, fun, interesting, sweet, and helpful. However the class is not an easy ride. You have to write ten short papers based on your reading, all three tests are complete essay form, and not a whole lot of extra credit is available. You need to show up to class to do well on tests, mostly lecture based, but does give study guide.

i love her she is sooo cool and a good teacher... she teaches this subject very well.... i love listening to her stories very interesting...she's very approachable and understanding... very open minded....TAKE HER... u won't regret it

One thing I didn't like about Pam was that I dont understand the notes; they were at most times random. Her thoughts were disorganized, but she knows what she is talking about. Dont need strong writing skills even though there are 2 required essays. Easy grader, but the test was unexpectedly hard for me..others seemed to get A's and B's

I did not expect much from this class, but I totally loved it! Pr. Lindell is very laid back and comfortable person to be around. She is available for discussion and never gets opinionated or scholarly on you. Do, however, take notes and read the book as she uses both of them for her tests, where she also gets pretty specific, so pay attention!

She's a really nice lady! Low textbook use, I hardly used mine. There's lots of fun discussion and tests are easy. Just take notes and look them over a few times before the test and you'll get an A. She's really chill and will try to answer any question. Take her!

She's a great Professor, very patient and has an obvious love of her job. She takes time to teach her class and doesn't expect you to "just get it off the batt." Moves at a leisurely pace and covers the information in a way that grasps your attention (which is good because I have a short attention span).

She very knowledgable and unpretentious - appears to be cool, granola type. Stay up with the class and take notes, it's all good.

Well, I think besides her looks distracting me, my interest in this subject has grown and my enthusiasm for becoming an Anthropologist myself has tripled. She teaches in a storytelling style which I envy and would like to learn to do before I reach my goals. Thanks Pam!!!

Wonderful teacher! She is absolutely adorable, super fun, and incredibly helpful. Reading is rarely necesssary because she goes over everything is class. Before tests she gives a list of things to review. Just go over notes the night before and it's an easy A. Her style really makes the learning stick!

Very nice, sweet, funny, down to earth person. Lectures can be boring and interesting at different times. She doesn't seem very prepared because she always reads from a paper she seemed to copy from another source but when she talks from her own knowledge it's interesting stuff. Class is easy, tests can be kind of tough, just study hard before.

With her grading method, there's really no good reason why anyone should fail unless you don't do the work. Also if you're not good at taking tests, there are other ways of getting points. Good teacher, and very helpful.

cool, nice. the topics she discussed were interesting. tests were not hard at all. just do the HW, come to class and ur fine. if u don't get an A in this class u must be stupid or lazy. i took 17 units and ended up w/ an A. enuff said. :)

this is the best teacher. she brings up intersting topics. one person in my class never read the text and got a A on her midterm. everything that you need to know is on the notes. her has extra cridit and hw to help people. if there is any questions she will help.

OMG she her class is so easy. Just show up to class and take very good notes, because what ever she gives you in class is what is on the midterm and final. She is overall very and understaning if you need help. Take her, you won't regret it

I LOVE THIS PROFESSOR! She is so knowledgible and is always making sure everyone understands or has questions. Her material was fascinating I learned some things in there I really appreciated. She is such a nice person and I totally recomend her. Especially her Witchcraft and religions class.

i took both of her classes. they are great. she is intersting. if you have a comment she respects is. 310 two page double space paper every week easy usaly about yourself and appling it to the field. 330 two paper, about a religion, and a rital five pgs double spaced. both classes one midterm and final which are heaviler on notes and little on book

She was really cool. She was nice and really understanding about missing class and stuff. She did go of on tangets, and take disorganized notes but the tests were easy, and overall she was good. I would take her agin.

Lindell is helpful and fun. Her class was so easy. You don't really have to read, but should have the book to study with before midterms and finals. She writes the most confusing, scatter-brained noted ever on the board. So just take your own noted based on lectures, and don't try to copy. She is sweet & helpful. I changed my major after this class

BEST TEACHER!!! She is wonderful. Very easy and interesting. 2 exams, 5 mini essay about your own culture which is very very easy, and 1 2000 word term paper. All easy stuff. This is an easy class, take her class!!!

Great teacher, was very engaging in lessons and encouraged student participation. Very accessible, and the multiple choice tests were fairly easy if you showed up to class and did the assignments. Only problem I had was with the online assignments, which I forgot the due dates of. Had I remembered most of them, my grade would have been higher.

I wasn't in love with the class, and it was a bit of a joke- but i have a lot of respect for prof. Lindell and her accomplishments as an anthropologist. Yes, she's always scattered brain, and monotonous as a teacher, but she's a great anthropologist. lol

Really enjoyed this professor. Dr. Lindell, in addition to being a terrific teacher, is also a pretty impressive anthropologist. Her class was engaging as well as interesting. I loved the invitation at the beginning of each class for announcements, of any kind- that kept me up to date on the local community and put my finger on Sac City's pulse. A+

She knows what she's talking about and obviously loves what she does. I think that's what separates okay professors from good ones. There's in class assignments and a term paper, but they aren't hard at all and she tells you what to study for the exams. Very crystal clear on what needs to be done to pass. She's also very easy on the eyes :)

Pam Lindell was a great teacher. Very clear anf funny. Exams were easy just need to attend class to get the info. Based a lot on the book. I'd take her class again any day.

Great professor which makes for a very popular course. I'm glad that she presents a well rounded course on something most people would not even discuss or dispute as imagination or just plain insanity. The paranormal is real and its great to have someone present the pros and cons of it, including the dangers that come with it.

This class is fascinating and you learn about lots of cultures. The tittle of the class is not what you will expect it to be. The course is not hard as long as you attend to lecture, do your presentations, and study for your tests. You don't get extra credit so make everything count. This is a very fun class and you will like it.

great teacher really knows her stuff. the mandatory attendance feels a bit like high school, but that's ok. The tests are pretty much based on the lecture notes. make sure to take notes because a lot of the stuff aren't in your book.

I loved every day. She made the class so interesting and her personal experiences just enriched the learning process. I liked, especially, that she made it fun. What I thought was going to be a dry lecture for 16 weeks turned out to be such a good time, I was sad when the class ended!

Clear lectures without extraneous material. 4 essay exams and a few in-class assignments. Text book (older edition = ok) is easy to read. Possible test questions are always given out ahead of time. Surprisingly large number of students still had difficulties. Remember, this is an -anthropology- class; you still have to study

She is a good professor. She will base her lectures on a mix of the textbook and professional experiences. This is not to say that going to lectures only and not reading will guarantee a good grade. She is patient and she really presents her topics in a clear and lively manner. If one is to take her class and is not "essay-savvy" caution on tests.

Prof. Lindell is very nice and presents her lectures well. If you take good notes, study them the day before the test, study the vocab in the chapters and can answer her study material a day before the test, you will get an A. She has some interesting stories to tell and is always in a good mood. Very pleasant professor and I would take her again!

I enjoyed this class and the professor's teaching style. But I did have to do a lot of studying for this class and the reading is mandatory if you want to pass. Gives pop quizzes and multiple choice/essay exam that are moderately difficult. Seems like there were a good chunk of students struggling to pass.

Dr.Lindell in its simplicity is amazing. She is really organized and knows what she is talking about. She gives quizzes once in a while, and the quizzes are mostly easy. There's reading assignments- but believe me, these reading assignments are interesting. She is awesome, and I'll miss her to be honest. A++++ rating. She is awesome

I really enjoyed prof lindell. she nice, and this class is fairly easy. the book is online so its free, and u must do the readings since there are quizzes every week. she covers the reading material in class but uses specific examples from the book. passionate about the subject and makes learning easy. show up, pay attention, and u will do fine.

Professor Lindell is awesome. Very kind & her lectures were very interesting. However, quizzes are given every week based on reading. Reading is very long & intensive. Not many homework. Just videos, quizzes, and some assignments based on videos. You have to read for your grade. The reading is online so it saves money.

One of the best teachers I've ever had! She's funny, involved, loves feedback from her students. She has a lot of experience in her field and tells amazing stories. Be prepared to learn a lot of interesting things. Her quizzes and tests can be a little tough and gives out reading assignments religiously.

Lindell gives very interesting lectures. She is very friendly and the class atmosphere is very relaxed. The textbook she uses is online so it's free. She gives quizzes once a week and 3 tests overall. If you attend class and do the reading, you should be fine. Make sure you participate in discussions. You can easily get an A if you put in the work.

This class is great if you're open minded. The book is a must have however it is not mandatory to bring it to class however you will need to read it every week for the weekly seven question quiz on the readings. Great teacher since she has visited tribes herself and experienced their culture and shares it with us through her stories. Overall great!

Pretty good teacher. Class was very rarely if ever boring. There are weekly quizzes based on the book and then 3 tests. No cumulative final. A couple of writing assignments based off of videos.

Lindell is a great professor! She encourages a lot of discussion and participation. I would recommend her to anyone. Just be sure to study well for the exams and understand the concepts as well as do the readings for weekly quizzes. No textbook needed (she posts all readings online) and gives a couple opportunities for EC.

Really interesting and engaging lectures. Tests are fairly easy if you know the content but you REALLY need to take notes on the lectures and make sure they are quite detailed and include everything in her study guides. Overall fantastic class and professor.

One of my favorite teachers so far at SCC. Professor Lindell is knowledgeable, passionate about anthropology and you can see it in her lectures. She made the semester manageable while I was taking ochem and zoology. Her class isn't too difficult as long as you do the readings, attend lectures. I'm going to miss her class the most. Honestly, she makes it feel like your listening to a good friend's travel stories. I really loved her courses and ended up taking most of them. I never had to study because the lectures really got the concepts across. She is a great professor, you wont regret taking her course.

I really enjoy taking Dr. Lindell's class! She always makes lectures very interesting and finds ways to keep the class involved. The only thing I would do differently is keep up with the reading and I would have a better grade. With that being said, she is a great professor!

Dr. Lindell is a very good professor. There are weekly readings and homework, but it is manageable. She gives you the beginning of the week to do it and it stays open until that Friday. Exams are several days as well, so you are able to take the exam on the day that you are available and ready. I would recommend her.

Lindell was one of my favorite teachers. Only gripe was that she seems to know a TON about the subject material, but doesn't always translate everything smoothly. That is, she can talk about a subject for hours and leaves you wondering what part will be on the test. Also, readings and lecture don't really go hand in hand. But SUPER interesting.

Great class. Amazing personal knowledge. Kind and caring professor. This was a pretty straightforward and easy class. That isn't to say that I didn't put any work in. You have to read quite a bit. But, it's all very interesting! I really loved taking this class from Professor Lindell. I'd probably take more from her if I could. Take her!

Prof. Lindell is awesome and passionate! A lot of readings & discussions, BUT you learn so much about yourself and the people around you! There is a extra credit quiz on the syllabus so DEFINITELY take advantage of that b/c the exams are pretty hard. A lot of the content on the tests are from her notes though. Great class overall! Take her!!!

Professor Lindell is great! Really enjoyed her lectures and her passion for the subject. She arranged for a class tutor the semester I took her class, and that helped too. Wish all professors were as awesome as she is and had such a zest for teaching.

Lindell is a great choice for Anthropology class, she was an amazing teacher for an online class with her personality shining through despite the lack of face-to-face interaction. The anthropology of religion class ANTH 331 I took was very clear-cut, interesting, and informative. I would definitely reccomend!!!

This honors cultural antho class was very interesting learning about people from all over the world. Chapter quizzes, essay midterm and final. Passionate, and caring she was a very friendly and open person to share discussions with in class. She handled moving online very well and was understanding. I thoroughly enjoyed this class.

Great professor. Work is easy to keep up with, usually just one discussion post and a reading & quiz per week. You will have 3 exams in this class, but they're all easy as long as you pay attention to the material (don't worry, it's pretty interesting). All in all, solid prof. Would take again.

Amazing professor. The material was very clear, so if you actually read what she assigns it's easy to get an A. Even if you're having trouble, I find that she's very understanding if you explain your reasoning well and put in the effort, and if you email her with questions you get a clear answer. Would highly recommend taking a class with her.
