Dr. Edends is one of the best professors I've ever had! She's very enthusiastic and makes the class interesting with personal stories, and she's just so quirky that you can't help but love her. Her tests aren't too difficult, I think she said the averages are usually high C's and low B's. She also gives lots several extra credit opportunities.
My favorite class. She makes it sooo interesting. Tests aren't that bad. If you show up to class you have a much better chance at getting an A on exams, because she tells you in lecture what to study.
great prof! knows what shes talking about and you will come away from this course knowing so much. weekly open note quizzes and four tests. final is not cumulative
Professor Edens is a fantastic professor! She makes everything very interesting, and brings in personal stories that relate to the material. She's fun, and makes jokes a lot of the time. As for the material, she makes it very clear whats on the tests. There were 5 tests, including a non-cumulative final. Take her class, for sure!
My favorite teacher at TAMU by far.
She was awesome and made the class fun to go to. I absolutely loved her. the class was kind-of hard, you learn a lot.
I loved going to her class. She made psychology so interesting and applicable. Favorite teacher by far.
Best professor ever! Class is enjoyable and interesting and she does a thorough job with making sure that everyone understands. I don't usually rate my professors but I just want everyone to know that this is the class to take!
Dr. Edens was a wonderful professor. She was very clear about what she required from students. I highly recommend her class.
Pamela is a really great teacheer. She makes sure you know what to study for each test and gives you a lot of opportunities to improve your grade. I really enjoyed this class.
Loved her! she was very funny and definitely made psyc interesting. she gives you powerpoint slides online, but there is information she highlights in red that you write down on the slides during class so you have to go. she also shows videos in class and on elearing that are necessary for tests.
Professor Edens is great! Her lectures are clear and she provides powerpoint slides for you to take notes. It's just fill in the blank. The tests are a lot harder than I expected. Reading the textbook and going to lecture is a must in order to do well. Just so that and you'll be fine.
Exams are not as easy as I thought.
READ YOUR BOOK! Dr. Edens was entertaining but her material in class was somewhat confusing. Her tests were really hard, so study hard.
Very interesting class. Dr. Edens is pretty cool. We had interesting discussions. The exams are a lot harder than I anticipated. Attending class and reading the book is a must.
Dr. Edens gives a lot of extra credit just for attending class. If you read the text and use the study guide you will find that this class is an easy A. Read, use the study guide, read the extra readings, and go over the power point before the test. There are 5 tests and the final is non cumulative. She is definitely entertaining.
Really enjoyed this class! I felt like she made lectures pretty interesting and had a good balance of lecture/book material on the 5 exams! She also has a lot of extra credit.
ABSOLUTELY AWESOME!she makes class very interesting and keeps you laughing throughout! Attendance isn't mandatory but it is extra credit. You will need to read the chapters and other readings otherwise you won't do too well on the test. She is an awesome professor! One of my favorites.
Dr. Edens is definitely more laid back than your average professor! Class was always interesting with the stories she tells, and she often tells you exact pieces of information that will be in the tests! There are 5 exams including non-culmulative final, all of which are a breeze if you study what she tells you to on the syllabus. TAKE HER. EASY A!
Easy class and interesting lectures. You have to read the textbook and watch a few extra videos but it is all very interesting and helpful. The prof is sweet but does not like cell phone use. Guest lectures are always great. Read the chapters once and you'll do fine
Edens is the best prof I've had at A&M. She's interesting and makes the class really fun. Her test are pretty easy, if you go to class and she gives extra credit if you go. I would take this class again. Easy A!
She is a great teacher and very entertaining. I would definitely recommend her as a professor!
Awesome teacher! I love her! She loves psychology and is passionate about what she teaches. Lectures are interesting and tests are based mostly on book and some on lectures. Sometimes, she will tell you what to know for tests. 2 papers, 1 project(easy), and 5 tests. Final not cumulative. I would take her again!
She made the class interesting and fun with her "Gender Awareness" and her own personal stories. The class is not difficult and very straightforward on what you have to do. She would randomly give extra credit for attendance. The class would not be as enjoyable without her. I recommend this class to anyone.
Read the books, print out the powerpoints and take notes on them, show up to class, study material A. Miss any of these and you could wind up with a C like me.
Show up to class, take notes, read the book, read the extra material, and you will do fine! An interesting class and a great professor!
She is a cool prof. She just doesn't provide enough study material to help for tests. You only get a print out of notes ,lectures , and a textbook. Nothing is really clear. Test are really confusing.
Very helpful but the tests were pretty tricky. The first test I didn't study for and received a decent grade. But for the rest of the other tests, I studied for them and received a lower grade. She uses a lot of the textbook as well as lecture. If you are having trouble, she is very helpful and would recommend going to her for some tips.
Edens is fantastic. Wonderful lectures and so incredibly interesting. But those tests are tough.. Didn't expect that even after studying and reading a lot. The material is easy but those tests aren't clear cut. She does provide other grades besides the tests though. I'd take her again though.
Dr. Edens was great and made this class so interesting. Lectures flew by because I was so interested in what she was talking about and I'm not even a psych major. Tests are usually a little tricky, just make sure to read the book, and study your notesher powerpoints. More studyinghigher grades, easily. TAKE THIS PROF! :)
My favorite class I've taken at A&M so far and by far my favorite prof!!! I didn't even mind attending class because Dr. Edens is so engaging and interesting! LOVE THIS CLASS!
Dr. Edens is an amazing professor: organized, teaches well (give great examples & provides videos & pictures to help explain), and hilarious. She is outgoing and enjoys her field of study. Her class is what made my semester good. Definitely read before class to stay on top. Tests are easy, but be able to apply to scenarios!! Bonus pts for attending
Have your textbook handy and read it. Make sure to read extra readings. Hard class have to work hard to pass the tests.
FAVORITE PROF I'VE HAD AT A&M THUS FAR!! I never zoned out in lectures because she was so incredibly outgoing and her lectures were so interesting I didn't want to miss anything! You will love her! TAKE THIS PROFESSOR!!!
I loved her!!! She was a great professor and the class was very interesting. I actually learned and retained a ton of information. There is bonus points for good attendance in the class. Few assignments. Tests aren't bad if you read the chapter and study her slideshows.
I thought she was a great professor and is very outgoing and much more laid back than my other professors. She makes the concepts very relatable and easier to understand. Super funny... Love her!
DR. EDENS IS THE BOMB! Hilarious, confident & entertaining. I found the material so interesting that I enjoyed coming to class & studying for exams. Easy A for me! Prepare to read the textbook - her exams come largely from text & lecture material. Small easy assignments, exams are multiple choice. Favorite class of the semester!
Dr. Edens was a great professor and extremely helpful but the tests in this class were very hard. You don't have to go to class but be sure to memorize the slides and skim over the book and additional material. I would take another class by her if I could
She is so funny! Class is always a blasts and I'm not even super interested in psychology but I love going to her class, definitely want to take her psych of women class next semester!
Dr. Edens is a very nice and funny, and it is easy to tell that she loves what she teaches. She does challenge you, but as a psychology major, that is what I needed. It is essential to attend class and read the assigned readings (which are very short) in order to get a good grade on the exams, which can be tough. All in all, I would take her again.
Dr. Edens was great! Her lectures were entertaining and thought provoking, and I thought her tests were fair. I got an A after barely cracking the book open the night before each test. Make sure you watch the videos though! I missed one once and it came back to haunt me during the test. All in all, I would definitely take Dr. Edens again!
She is an amazing prof and easily one of the best lecturers at TAMU. Her tests are hard but it's easy to make an A if you try! Go to class! Take her she is hilarious!
Dr. Edens is extremely funny. Knows how to keep her class interesting. Considering how fun and interesting it was, the test were tough if you did not read the book. Don't rely on her powerpoint to get you through the semester.
Dr. Edens is very enthusiastic about the subject matter and makes lectures very interesting to go to. Her tests can be tough if you don't study but she has short assignments that are easy to get full credit on that make up for the points you lose on the test. Overall she makes class interesting, you learn a lot, and assigns fair assignments.
Lectures are fun and interesting but many, if not half of the questions on exams are exclusively from lecture. You need to both go to class AND read the book to get an A. I just read the book and skipped a few classes per exam and earned a B. Going to class will get you extra credit but it only helps if you're on the borderline in between grades.
Dr. Edens is great! She's hilarious and a good professor. She makes the lectures interesting and provides videos and examples for clarity. I read most of the assigned chapters in the book, did the extra articles/videos, and went to class and the tests weren't that bad. I got an A on the paper. She's my favorite professor and would 100% recommend!!
She has been my absolute favorite professor so far! Her class is interesting but you have to put in work. I read all the chapters and took detailed notes to re-read, and did all the extra things for her tests and I am expected to get an A. Just make sure to do all the stuff for the tests because she can get specific. But she is awesome and so funny
This class is so interesting and Dr. Edens is passionate about the material. She encourages students to interact and voice their opinions and questions. The tests are not too difficult if you go to class, pay attention, and read the textbook. This class is worth taking! I would highly recommend this class to anyone!!
READ READ READ. I ended with an A in the class by attending class, reading the book and typing my notes. She is a wonderful lecturer and she is so funny! She honestly made me want to be a psych major!! Loved her!
HILARIOUS! she's one of the better ones out there! her intro class is amazing, not hard at all!
Dr. Edens' lectures are consistently engaging, informative, and entertaining. However, that doesn't make the class an easy A. Reading is very important as her lectures are designed to build upon the reading and there are a lot of questions from it on her tests. She doesn't take formal attendance but there are small weekly quizzes to measure it.
Dr. Edens is very passionate about this class and if you read all of the things she tells you to read, you go to class, and you listen during the lecture you're a shoe in for a good grade. 10/10 recommend
Study, read the book, watch the videos, and pay attention during lecture. If you do then you will pass! Dr. Pamela Edens is amazing! She really loves what she teaches, but this is no easy A
Edens is a crowd favorite because she really enjoys psychology and teaching. There is a lot of reading, from the chapters in the book (required), to the research in another book, and the additional required articles and videos online. This class isn't a blow off, so don't expect an easy A.
She is a great professor and cares about her students. If you don't read you wont pass. If you don't go to class you probably wont pass. Tests can be confusing at times
Prof Edens is probably one of the best profs at A&M. Really loves her students and loves what she does. Go to class to get the extra credit given. Read the book and read her slides she posts. Don't have to study too much. I'm getting a B and it wasn't hard at all. Her class is definitely interesting and worth going to!
She is entertaining and enjoys the subject that she teaches. I was very displeased with the way that she acted like that everyone's opinions mattered, and encouraged discussion in class, but she would overrule anytime someone had more conservative views than her. She was very demeaning to people with views contrary to hers.
I took this class because I read she was amazing and the class was not difficult. I will say that her test are so confusing I left comments to her like "There are two correct answers" OR "you must be referencing another class you teach, we never learned (blank)". DO NOT TAKE unless you are willing to ignore every other class and other activities.
Dr. Edens is my favorite professor at A&M! She keeps the class entertained and is always making jokes. She is very clear on what she wants in her assignments and in her lectures. Her tests are easy if you go over the notes, go to lectures, and read the book. She does pop quizzes once a week. So go to class, (They are easy don't worry) TAKE HER!
Edens class for psych of women was amazing! It changed my perspective on many things. Very tough grader but very enjoyable class
She is the nicest professor ever! She knows her stuff and gives a lot of extra credit. Probably the easiest class I took this semester! This was definitely my favorite class.
Dr. Edens was a really great professor. She taught the course very well and made it interesting. She didn't have a cumulative final which was nice. Her tests are only over 2 chapters for each one so it's not that much to study. She has quizzes but her quizzes are so easy it's sad if you get the question wrong.
Take her!!! This class isn't the easiest but it's definitely worth it. Her lectures are amazing! there are 13 easy quizzes and she takes the top 10, 2 papers which are easy. However her tests (5 total) are semi hard and require a lot of studying. Make sure you read the chapters assigned as well as the extra reading and powerpoint slides.
Dr. Edens is great! She's a good lecturer and brings in personal anecdotes to connect to the topics being discussed in class. Show up to class, because she gives out 3 question pop quizzes (you can use your notes) every week and extra credit every once in a while. I read the textbook and went over the ppts outside of class and made A's on all tests
Dr. Edens is awesome!!! She's super caring and has insteresting lectures. Go to class bc she includes things in lectures that are not in the book and tests over those items. READ THE BOOK!!! If you read the book and take notes and attend lectures and take notes you should get an A. Awesome prof!!!
This course is called Psychology of Women, BUT it is Psychology of White Women. There is a Psychology of Women of Color offered every so often if you're expecting a class like that. Edens is entertaining and an overall great prof. However this class is very time consuming and A LOT of reading and videos. Do not take with other intensive classes.
Dr. Edens has been one of my favorite professors. Shes funny and makes her class interesting - very nice and approachable. Offers extra credit, 4 exams and two short papers with topics to choose from that are graded easily. Definitely would recommend and would take her again. If you read the book and skim her power points, you'll be fine.
Dr. Edens is such a great professor. I took her for PSYC 107 so I decided to take her again for 300. She is very passionate about what she teaches and really wants you to learn. She does random attendance extra credits so if you show up you'll be good. Exams cover both lecture and textbook material. You have to put in effort but the class is fun!
Professor Edens is an amazing prof. Not an easy A at all but it is possible She's hilarious, gets off topic a lot, offers extra credit for attending class and doing extra work, be sure to READ THE BOOKS/EXTRA READINGS/WATCH VIDEOS FOR TESTS AND DON'T JUST SKIM TEXTBOOK, and really cares for her students and loves what she teaches. TAKE HER!!!!!
She is an amazing prof! Make sure you read the book and not just go off the power points because the tests includes material from the book. Also, show up to class because she gives EXTRA CREDIT for attendance.
I took this prof for a honors psyc of women class and it was so interesting! The class was discussion based and really interactive. I learned so much! She assigned a Memoir reading and short paper over it, an interview with a family member and a short paper over it and a presentation over a certain topic. I would still read the book for exams!
I absolutely love Pamela, she is so funny and will definitely call students out and make everyone laugh. Lectures are interesting, papers are easy, and tests are moderate just make sure to study the book and power points. Pay attention during lectures because her oral lectures will definitely be on the test.
Dr. Edens is an extremely knowledgable professor and made this course so interesting! She is very sporadic in lecture but gives slides. Lots of reading and SUPER EASY pop-quizes (10/13 for credit- so you can miss 3 quizzes). Very helpful and makes the class interesting. 10/10 would take again!!!
There are two homework assignments you pick out of many that require an essay, all fascinating options. You must read the textbook and women atlas, view the extra material, and attend class to do well. All of it is super interesting and well worth any time needed. Extra credit is given for attendance and on random days through questionnaires.
Edens is the bomb!! She is really nice and weird and funny, and she really cares about her students and wants them to do well. Her lectures are pretty interesting, she offers tons of extra credit and her tests are straightforward, so if you show up to class and do the textbook reading you will be good. My lowest test grade was a 98.
Professor Edens is really funny and this class was my favorite this semester! She is great and material isn't hard, just go to class and take good notes. Tests can be weirdly worded but if you truly know the material you will do well!
She gives (like you put your name and get full credit) quizes for grades about once or every other week! She knows what she is talking about! I now love the psychology field. If you do not go to class you will not pass, she will use specific lecture points in her test. Easy class if you do the reading and go to class.
Edens is a great professor. Attendance is extra credit and she posts her slides online, however the class is very interesting and not boring to attend. There are four tests and two written assignments that you get to choose. You do need to read the textbook because she does draw questions from them. Overall a good class if you do what she asks.
If you have the opportunity to take PSYC 107 with Dr. Edens, do it! She's an amazing professor who is very passionate about the material she's teaching, which makes the class so much more enjoyable. Her lectures are clear and concise, and tests are not at all difficult if you study class notes and read the textbook. I highly recommend her!
I loved Dr. Edens. Her tests aren't as hard as everyone says, she tests over lecture and the book but she makes it extremely clear what's going to be on the test. She's very passionate and gives extra credit opportunities for showing up. She has 5 tests but the final is non cumulative and she cares a lot about her students.
This professor will make you fall in love with the field of psychology. her enthusiastic lectures, real-world examples, and NON-CUMULATIVE final will make this class a breeze and one that you will be eager to go to. I happily woke up every MWF at 8 am because I knew her class will be worth it. She was my first professor at A&M and made it amazing
Definitely recommend this professor! She is a great lecturer, and her classes are always funny, entertaining, and interesting. She really cares about her students and always offers extra credit for the people that show up for her class. Her tests are not hard if you read the book and pay attention to the lectures.
I never felt like I was in a lecture when I was in her class because it was all about having a group discussions and sharing our stories and opinions. She's definitely very friendly and easy to listen to but she's also a no nonsense kind of professor. Don't mistake her friendliness as her being a pushover because she is far from it.
Professor Edens definitely cares a lot about her students and the material. She's eccentric and offers good & interesting examples and stories in class, you won't be falling asleep. Tests include references to lectures, but you'll need to read for an A. She's very humble in that she looks to learn from her students and improve based on feedback.
Dr Edens is so funny in that awkward sort of way, but I enjoyed her class a lot. She has projects you can choose which to do or create your own. If you read her slides and the book, you should be fine on tests (read/watch the required assignments on ecampus though). She gives extra credit for attendance and LOVES student feedback.
Her tests are pretty hard. You need to go to class and read the book. She expects you to learn outside of class. She gives up to 5 points extra credit for coming to all the classes during the semester. She's really nice and entertaining though.
She is awesome & hilarious!! She makes the class interesting. If you do the work & study, it is not hard.
She posts her notes online and they're basically just like the textbook. Attendance is worth extra credit, 5 points if you go to all of the lectures and that goes down as you skip. There were also three days where she gave away 2 bonus points for showing up, so 11 points possible this semester. Her lectures are fun, too, so you won't be bored!
She will always grab your attention with the lectures. She loves what she teaches and that makes you as engaged as she is. Make sure that you read the textbook ahead of the lectures as it makes a difference. Pay attention to the stories that she tells with her lectures. A fair amount of test questions come directly from lecture.
Dr. Edens was a fantastic professor! Her lectures were fun, the material was interesting and easy, and as long as you go to the lectures and read the textbook you should get an A.
SHE IS AMAZING!!! If you can take any class by her then you should absolutely do it. She is kind and inspiring and funny! Hands down best professor I've ever had.
Professor Edens is very nice and funny! You HAVE to read all of the textbook and the lectures and the extra readings to get an A on her tests. If you are willing to put in the work then this class will be an easy A. Attendance is mandatory as she has many pop quizzes (usually on Friday's). She is accessible outside of class and super friendly.
Such a respectable and intelligent woman. I loved her class. She's passionate about the material and gives many extra credit opportunities. Taking notes and reading outside of class should get you an A or B.
Amazing professor. She cares a lot about what she teaches & makes lectures interesting. Reading & attending class is important; Test are difficult if you dont.
Dr. Edens makes her lectures enjoyable and truly loves what she teaches! Course load isn't difficult, but tests are tough. Reading the book and coming to class is important to do well on the tests! Attendance isn't mandatory, but there are random quizzes for attendance grades.
Dr. Edens wasn't a terrible professor but definitely did make the class a lot tougher than needed. Tests are based on lecture notes, extra things discussed in class, textbook, and extra readings assigned. Attendance is mandatory to pass since she puts things on the test that were only discussed in class.
Loved this class. Now a psych minor because of Edens. Reading is helpful for tests, but if you attend every lecture and study for the tests, you can still make A's. Make sure to know the "current events" she presents in class and the extra readings posted online. Pop quizzes probably once a week. An excellent and funny lecturer.
She is a really great professor whos lecture was interesting. The test was about half textbook half lecture. I would definitely take her again, she was caring and was always energized about the material. I feel like I learned so much in the class compared to other classes I have taken.
Definitely take Dr. Edens for Psyc 107. I would recommend reading the assigned textbook readings ahead of time, and take notes during her lectures (which are entertaining and funny). The exams are a lot easier than I'd expected and test on major topics. She usually tells you what you need to know for each exam.
Is now a role model to me
Take her if you can! She is very passionate about psychology so her lectures are not boring. You must show up to class to pass her test because they are 50% lecture 50% textbook. She tries very hard to help her students do well in her class.
I LOVE Dr. Edens. She is always so excited during class and I think she is so funny. If you read the textbook ( which is actually pretty interesting to me) and pay attention during class the tests should be a breeze for you. She is also super helpful with any questions you have and wants the best for her students. An A is more than possible!
Lectures are very interesting and she spends a lot of class time letting students share anecdotes. Reading the textbook definitely helps get you an A on the tests, but tests are not difficult. Attendance counts towards your grade and she offers extra credit for showing up. 3 test and 2 very easy essays. Highly recommend her classes!
Edens was a great professor! She keeps things interesting and up beat--loves to tell anecdotes and get off topic. There isn't a lot of work to be graded, just two opinion papers which are very simple and easy to write, and the exams. The exams are multiple choice but in the either/or/or neither format, so they can be hard if you don't study.
I LOVE her. She is so sweet and funny and makes the class so enjoyable. You have to read the textbook to do well, and the tests can be challenging even then. You have to work hard to get an A but it is such a good class. I will be taking her again
She sounds like Dory from Finding Nemo. She is passionate about what she teaches and is naturally very corky and funny. Her class is by far my favorite class to attend this semester. She is very good at teaching. Her tests are pretty easy if you read the book and take notes on what she says in class. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Her quizzes are super easy.
She is very passionate about material and very very relatable. Attending class help and she gives extra credit. She is very fair. You do need the textbook for tests but the readings are very manageable. She is very funny and her class is never boring, she really does care about her students. Would take her again!
She is a great professor and really cares about her students. You definitely have to read your textbook and the extra readings or you will not do great on the exams.
Prof. Edens is great. You will definitely have to work (read, study) if you want an A, but it is do-able. She is very sweet and readily available in office hours if you need anything. A few writing assignments, but super easy if you just follow the rubric. Gives quizzes as well as extra credit randomly in class, so make sure you go! Recommend!!
Great prof, tests can be tricky but if you know the material you should be fine. I looked forward to going to class bc the extra credit opportunities and fun lectures. Has kids our age so is very empathetical but at the same time is pretty tough to reach over email so your best bet is to ask any questions you have right after class.
An actual angel sent from heaven. She's funny and always willing to help you with whatever concepts she's teaching about. Study for tests, but just pay attention in lecture and you'll get an A. She's funny and going to class was genuinely enjoyable. She's actually the best, take her and you won't regret it!! My favorite prof for sure.
While shes definitely one of the harder Psyc professors, shes fairly easy and fair. I didnt go to class at all, only for the exams, and I ended up with a C. This is okay for me because I had more pressing classes to go to. However if you plan on skipping class all the time I encourage you to search for another easier prof, if not, shes solid!
I started this class a week behind due to add/drop and I feared that I wouldn't catch up. I ended with an A that I worked really hard for, but it wasn't't unattainable. Make sure to read the textbook for exams, and go over her powerpoint from lecture. She is a great prof who cares about her students so much that I am taking her again this fall!!
She gives amazing lectures that are very interesting and she tells funny anecdotes for the class. She also tells you a lot what she will definitely test on. I ended up barely getting an A in the class, after not doing well on the first test. You HAVE to read the book. She also gave some extra credit which helped a lot, but only on Fridays.
Professor Edens is a GEM. She is passionate about the course material, and it shows in every lecture. (She's funny too!) You have to attend class if you want to get an A, but she makes each unit so interesting that you really will want to be there. Attend class, take detailed notes for exams, and you'll do well. I would take her again if I could!
Pammy is the best professor I've had at A&M. She is hilarious and her lectures are so interesting that I always wanted to go to class. The tests can be pretty tricky, and you absolutely have to read the text book. She gives weekly quizzes to help boost your grade, but she literally gives you the answers so its not hard at all. Seriously love her!
She is so inspirational!! I love listening to her lectures because she is so interesting and I actually learned a lot. Highly recommend her.
One of the best! Super sweet woman, really makes class interesting. She does random attendance quizzes but her lectures make you actually want to go to class. Pretty easy grader as long as you clearly do what's stated in your papers (there's only like two).
LOVE HER - she's such a passionate teacher and loves to share knowledge, advice, and funny stories or news articles that are relevant to class. I would take her again for something else if I could. 10/10 recommend. Some textbook reading is required for the test but she mostly tells you what pages to read. I love going to her class!
Take her! You will not regret it - she is one of the best professors at A&M and you will be so happy that you took her class :) Exams are straightforward, gives attendance quizzes and is overall awesome!
Professor Edens was an okay teacher. You had to show up to class to do well in the course. The textbook is needed since a lot of questions on the exams come from the book. Final isn't cumulative with helps.
The class isn't hard at all and Dr. Edens is so fun and caring. The class is interesting. If you go to lecture and read your book, tests are easy.
Three exams + final, non cum. Two essays, easily graded just do everything listed in the instructions. You may have to read the textbook because some exam questions are derived from there. Easy going, easy A. She is funny. This was the first PSYC 210 that she taught and she is actively trying to make it harder for next semesters.
Dr. Edens is the best thing that has happened to TAMU! She's incredibly funny and super nice. If you do what she tells you to do (like read the textbook) this class will be an easy A. Honestly though, the only reason you need to read the textbook is because psyc is too broad to fit into 50 min lectures so it's not like she's making you work.
Shes a nice lady and funny prof, but her tests are awful. Theyre multiple choice but you have to pick the most right choice. And shes unorganized so you have to do a lot of preparation outside of the class.
You NEED to take Dr. Edens just for the experience. She is super funny, very relatable, welcome and open, everything you could ask of a professor. I highly recommend her, she's just truly the best. 3 exams, 1 final. You have participation quizzes once a week + a paper. Take note of anything she particularly points out!! - you will be tested on it
Dr. Edens is funny, but she gets off topic really easily and will spend too much time talking about subjects that have nothing to do with the class. Her tests are awful because they're in the either-or format. Basically, most of the answers are right you just have to pick the most right one. 4 tests, 1 assignment. Would not take again.
Dr. Edens is one of the most fun and interesting profs I have had. She makes class super interesting and always has a funny story to share. Definitely read the textbook (it's on library reserve). She's a super easy grader on the assignments and if you've read the ppts and the textbook, exams are a breeze. Also, there's a weekly pop attendance quiz.
Edens is amazing. She's so funny and sweet. Weekly pop quiz for attendance purposes, very simple. Study for tests!
Dr. Edens was the funniest professor I've ever had. She was an amazing professor who is eager to educate her students. Be prepared to read the textbook, pay attention in class, and look out for weekly attendance pop quizzes (random). If you keep up with the textbook and take decent notes, you have it in the bag. I would absolutely recommend.
TAKE. THIS. PROFESSOR. Her class is a lecture and you should read the book (because stuff from the book is on the test), but printing/taking notes on her slides helps the most. She's hilarious, willing to help, and makes her syllabus clear. Tests are multiple choice; pop quizzes once/week but she gives you the answers, they're just for attendance.
I took her for this class and she solidified my thoughts of getting a psych minor. loved her so much, I took her two more times. Same attendance quizzes, notes recommendations, etc. as her other classes - four tests and the final isn't cumulative. Clearly loves her job and is so excited to share her passion. The book is probably a must, though.
Best professor! Her test are 50/50 textbook and lectures. She takes an unannounced attendance once a week but I recommend going to all the lectures. She likes to tell stories about her personal life which makes class really fun! Not an easy A but you can 100% get an A if you read the textbook, attend class, and study, her tests are hard if you dont
Dr. Edens is super nice, but we get behind in class every time. She's a little scatterbrained but she means well, and she is super non-judgemental about things her students share in class. There's a lot of laughing in lecture, and her lecture slides are pretty much the test. It's a fun class, but not the most relevant class I've taken.
Dr. Edens really cares about her students and wants them to learn. Very fun and interesting lectures, not difficult to get an A if you do what she asks. Would take her again!!
This class was AWESOME! Material was so easy to learn bc Dr. Edens made lectures fun and memorable. Read the chapters the night before the exam, review notes once or twice, and you're set for the exam if you pay attention and take diligent notes in class. Learned so much about myself and the world in this class, how all college courses should be.
She was the best professor Ive had at A&M. She was really funny and very passionate about what she teaches. I wish she could teach all of my classes!
Dr. Edens was the best! She really made the material so interesting I found myself looking forward to class (which barely ever happens). I would truly enjoy every lecture and the class was so interactive so there was always a super interesting discussion happening. Wish all of my classes were as interesting and fun as this one was.
a true Gem!! she was funny, her lectures were interesting, even if she did go off topic a bit, her tests were fair. basically just read the textbook and her lecture slides, def pay attention in class (because there are some very specific questions from them on the tests) and it's a gauranteed A. her class was my fav class this semester!
Edens is an amazing prof. For her class, there are 2 papers, pop quizzes every week, and then 4 tests. If you study the lecture slides and look through the textbook, the tests are easy A's. She is very sweet and follows her syllabus. I wish I had her for every class!
BEST PROF. This is my favorite class I have taken. She makes everyone feel comfortable and is passionate about what she teaches. I would definitely take her again. There are weekly attendance quizzes, but as long as you're going to class, you will be fine. Test are not bad either. Textbook is essential.
SHE IS SO MUCH FUN. She gives pop quizzes once a week that make up the attendance grade, but you never know what day shell do it, so its best to go to every class. tests are a mix from class and textbook, but she makes it pretty clear whats important. Other than that, just 2 fairly easy assignments. TAKE HER!!
Dr. Edens made you want to attend class even though it is not required. She does give pop quizzes that really do help with your final grade. She makes learning fun and especially the way she loves to get the class involved and engaged in the lecture. It is not an easy A but as long as you read the textbook and her powerpoint you should be good.
Pam Edens is amazing! Just show up and you'll be okay. Some of her instructions for her assignments are a little wonky but if you ask for clarification she's super cool about it. Easy grader. Highly recommend.
Very interesting class! Pop quizzes for attendance grade. I've taken Edens more than once and I finally got an A in her class. She's hard to get an A in if you don't do the readings and study well. She WILL ask questions over readings that say "optional" (which is kinda annoying) so read all of them. Overall a good prof, just a lot of effort.
Dr. Edens was a great prof. The class was interesting and the discussions were always fun. Tests were super easy that came straight from lecture notes. Unfortunately I already knew lot of the info because I am interested in reproductive justice. I wish she would've gone a little more in depth but it is a great beginner to human sexuality class.
Dr. Edens was a great prof. There were 4 tests and 2 outside of class small projects. Tests came straight from lecture notes. I already knew a lot of the info before taking the class but it was still interesting. A good intro class to psych of women. She's very funny and cares a lot about her students.
I took her Psych of Human Sexuality class online during Fall 2020. She is the BEST professor. She is very open-minded, caring, and understandable. Her textbook quizzes are very easy. She set two to three different testing times to accommodate to peoples' schedules. She gives extra credit. Easy A while being informative if you pay attention.
Dr. Edens is a solid choice for 300. Definitely read the textbook because a lot of the exam questions you can find in the book. Her lectures are pretty interesting and funny but she goes off on tangents and I sometimes didn't know what to take notes on. Overall, she's a pretty good prof and assignments are easy as long as you go to class and read.
I took this class because of the rating on here, however I found this class kind of difficult. There are 4 tests which were pretty tough however the 2 papers are easy 100s. Study hard for the exams there is a lot of material and reading to do!
Dr. Edens is probably the sweetest professor I've had as a first year student. She provides clear feedback and gives many tips and tricks on how to do well on her exams. Her exams are definitely the hardest part of this course. Lots of reading and lots of lecture material. Other than that, she genuinely enjoys teaching! I definitely recommend her.
Dr. Edens is an AMAZING prof! I took her for Psych of Human Sexuality, and she is very open and caring about all people and lifestyles. She gives easy open-note quizzes, lectures were recorded with a live option, and the TA provided plenty of helpful review sessions before the tests and after to go over the answers. I highly recommend!!!
By far my favorite professor at Texas A&M! A 5 question quiz every week that are straight from lecture and 4 exams. She is a super chill grader for the 2 assignments and they are basically a grade booster. LOVE HER!!!
I love Dr. Edens. This was by far my favorite class. She makes lectures very interesting. She's incredibly sweet. You will need to buy her textbook, there are quizzes that are over the book and lots of test questions over the book. She has 2 projects but they are very fun to do. She lets you drop 3 quiz grades. Overall amazing, please take her!
Dr. Edens was incredibly engaging and while she went on tangents often, her class was interesting and easy. She's great and involves students in discussion.
Dr. Edens is by far one of my favorite professors ever! She's very open to new ideas and is always willing to have a conversation with you. I'm not the type to raise my hand and participate but I felt so comfortable in her class that I ended up talking a lot! Her exams are mostly from the readings but she throws in a couple questions from lecture.
Dr. Edens was by far the best prof I've ever had at TAMU. She truly cares about her students and focuses on making the information she is teaching relevant to her students. The class was so interesting and I learned a lot. I will be taking her Psych of Women class now because I loved her so much as a prof!
I really enjoyed her class! Make sure you stay on top of the reading because she can test on material that was in the book but wasn't gone over in class. Overall, she's a great professor who really cares. Her tests are pretty straightforward too. I highly recommend!
Prof Edens lectures were always interesting and she was good about keeping the class engaged by having active discussions with the students. She gives you every opportunity you could possibly need to obtain the grade you want! I never got an A on any exams and still finished with one in the class. You will need to read textbook some for exams
She is an amazing prof. I took her for Human Sexuality and Psych of Women and loved both classes. Her lectures are really interesting and easy to follow along and pay attention to. Read the text book and pay attention in class and you should be fine! highly recommend taking her because she is funny and really cares about students doing well!
Amazing prof, very caring and VERY funny. It is a test heavy class and there is not extra credit. The lectures are very informative!
Dr. Edens is one of the most caring and enjoyable psych profs. Her lectures are engaging and she tries her best to keep you interacting with the class. Her class consists of 4 exams (noncumulative), quizzes, a few projects that are super easy. Would highly recommend any class taught be her, you will not be disappointed!
Professor Edens is such a great professor! The class is super straight forward-as long as you pay attention during the lectures it's an easy A. All the extra assignments and quizzes are super straightforward and easy to get A's on. You can tell she is passionate about what she's teaching which makes the class enjoyable. I would recommend her!
Favorite professor of the semester, Edens is one that you'll always remember. Class was pretty easy. 4 exams non-cumulative, 12 quizzes (2 are dropped), 14 research hours required (easy and doesn't take long) and a few online module type assignments. Edens made her lectures interesting and had a great sense of humor. TAKE HER FOR PSYC107!!!!!
Dr. Pam is incredible. I have not taken a class that I feel i have truly gained as much knowledge and information that I did this semester. I chose to go in person and was one of 4 people(on average) in class. This allowed for her to get to know me and she showed that she will go the extra mile to help you if needed.
Best professor I'll probably ever had. She's extremely caring and loves all of her students. She gives weekly open-note quizzes, creates in-class discussion activities, and knows how to get your attention and keep it. This will be an easy and fun class if you enjoy psychology and read the textbook. Definitely taking Psych of Women with her next
Dr. Edens is one of the best, most caring professors I've ever had. She did everything in her power to create an open, welcoming environment, and I have so much respect for her now. Would highly recommend this course to anyone hoping to become a more educated, well-rounded, and sexually comfortable person, even if it doesn't pertain to your major.
Dr. Edens is a great professor overall. You will need to buy the textbook for sure. There are 12 quizzes (2 lowest dropped), but the quizzes come straight from the textbook. Make sure to pay attention to gender awareness -- I bombed my first test because I didn't realize it was important. She doesn't respond to emails quickly.
Dr. Edens is amazing. She really cares for her students and there are weekly quizzes in her class, but she drops your two lowest scores. Some questions are specifically out of the textbook, so you do have to read.
Dr. Edens is a good professor. She is very fair and understanding during COVID (let our highest test grade replace lowest, dropped 2/12 quiz grades). She uses good examples during class, but can go off on tangents and overexplains student questions. Tests aren't open note, but not bad if you put in some effort. Would recommend her.
Dr. Edens is an amazing prof. She truly cares about the subject and her students. There is 2 projects but they are fun to complete. 4 exams all noncumulative, 12 quizzes but she drops 2. Her lectures are very engaging and enjoyable to watch. You will need to read the textbook!!! but the book is super interesting. Take her class!!!!!!!
Edens is a pretty good professor. However, dont read into people saying the class is easy. Her tests questions can be insanely specific. If youre someone who is used to reading and then taking the big picture you wont be successful in this class. Be ready to remember erroneous statistics for her tests and quizzes.
Dr. Edens is a solid prof, I enjoyed taking her class and learned a lot. She is passionate with her lectures. There's 12 quizzes and 2 are dropped, and she offers a tiny bit of extra credit. Her exams are pretty hard though, you have to memorize a bunch of small facts and stats. I would actually read the textbook and take detailed lecture notes.
Dr. Edens is down-to-earth and easy and comfortable to take to. I took her for Women's Psych and loved her! I wish I could take her for another course, however, there is not any available.
Dont take her if youre conservative, youll wanna rip your hair out at things shes teaching. Easy A tho
Professor Edens made sure that all of her lectures were interesting, interactive, and meaningful. If you have the chance to take her for Psyc of Women, PLEASE DO! The assignments she gave were reasonable and she was always willing to help outside of class or discuss topics students suggested.
This class is literally amazing. I would recommend it to everyone and everyone. If you take good lecture notes, this class is a super easy A. This class a fresh perspective that can literally change your life. Please take Edens for 300!
Great professor! She genuinely cares and it's an Easy A if you try. I just read the textbook sometimes before class and during lectures she'd go over what we read and tell us to star the most important things. Everything was straight forward
BEST PROFESSOR!!! She is so funny. The entire class would be cracking up. She makes the material very interesting and gives lots of opportunities for students to not only ask questions but share their thoughts as well. So sweet and the class is not hard.
She is so funny! You need to read the textbook, weekly quizzes are based off that. Exams are incredibly specific so watch the zoom reviews before, they helped a lot! Go to class bc she specifically says things in class that will be on the exam. Lectures weren't recorded either. One project and a few assignments. Ended with a 93 but studied a lot.
Dr. Edens is probably the best professor I have had at A&M. She makes her lectures very enjoyable and she is very passionate about her teachings and is very engaging which made getting an A very easy. I loved her class and learned so much! 10/10 Would recommend!!!
Dr. Edens changed my life, she is one of the best teachers I've ever had and I am so grateful I took classes with her. She is amazing, intelligent and inspirational. The content of the class is extremely interesting whether it is PSYC 210 or 300. Both courses are SO worth it. Psyc 300 definitely changed the way I viewed the world and myself.
Dr. Edens is awesome! She is so sweet and cares for her students. She also is really funny. I highly recommend her human sexuality class as it is very interesting, and you learn so much that can apply to your life. There were 4 exams, and you will need to study for them, but they aren't super difficult. I highly recommend this class!!!
Dr Edens is one of my favorite professors! She makes the material in her lectures extremely engaging and interesting, even when statistics are involved. There are weekly quizzes based on each chapter in the book, so make sure you read and take notes as you go. Don't skip class either - her lectures aren't recorded and always have necessary info!
Dr. Edens is wonderful. I enjoyed her class so much Im taking her again. Amazing amazing lecturer. You learn so much. Sitting in on her lectures is incredible. Enriching environment. She teaches in a way that youre able to form your own opinion. Cannot say enough about Dr. Edens.
Dr. Edens is wonderful. Her lectures are engaging, informative, and safe. Attendance is not mandatory, but honestly, you will most likely want to attend the class because of how enjoyable it is. There are weekly quizzes over textbook chapters, but they are easy and open-note. Please take a class with Dr. Edens if given the chance!
Dr. Edens is the best professor I have ever had. I had her for Psychology of Women and she made the already interesting material more interesting. The tests are mainly from the lectures. I never once read the textbook and made a B+. She is super awesome, entertaining, captivating, and understand. Signed up for another course of hers.
I really enjoyed Dr. Eden's class. She is very interested in the topics that she teaches which makes for great lectures. Dr. Edens truly cares about her students and wants them to succeed. She is very open to other views and encourages students to respond in lecture.
Took her for 210 and she is literally so sweet. as long as you are able to complete the study guide for each test you will get an A. There is normally 1 or 2 questions on the test specifically about something she said in lecture but I would say as long as you take notes on her powerpoint slides youll be fine
I loved Dr. Edens class. I do think it was a little harder than some people say only because some of the questions are so specific or worded a little weird. There are plenty of assignments and she makes learning about the material very fun. I think the content of the class is also very valuable esp. to the men in the class.
I loved professor Edens so much! Her class was so interesting and I genuinely learned so much. 4 exams and no cumulative final, no extra credit. But exams are easy if you just listen to lectures! She is very sweet and passionate about what she teaches, I would definitely take her.
By far the best professor I have ever had in my entire years of being at A&M. Lectures were very entertaining to attend, VERY doable workload, and a final exam that is not cumulative. Her class has a waitlist for a reason... so stop reading and go ahead and register for her classes!
I totally recommend Edens and definitely this course because I actually ended up learning material that I will retain for a long time. Take this class for sure because she is so funny and caring, and her lectures are actually informative and interesting!!
Took both 210&300, and I wish there were more courses I could take with her(as a psyc minor). Prof Edens truly is amazing at her job, and each piece of info she gives is USEFUL and applicable in real life. This class teaches you AWARENESS, and the material sticks for a long time. Tests are SO doable if you make reviews/ quizlets(especially w peers)
just take this class. you won't regret it.
Professor Edens is my favorite professor at A&M. She is funny, makes every class interesting, and is readily available outside of class. I have Taken her for multiple psychology classes and I highly Recommend her.
She makes lectures and learning a lot of fun! She inputs her personal experiences in life that relate to the lectures which makes it easy to remember when the test comes around. Despite this being an 8:00am class for me, I am able to stay awake and alert!
Dr. Eden's course consists of 4 non-cumulative exams, 8 participation quizzes, 2 discussion-like write-ups, and one major assignment. Quizzes are open book and online. Exams are in-person, but an easy A if you study the PPT slides. There is always an active discussion in class, as Edens loves to hear her student's thoughts and learn new info.
Love this class! It is very interesting and easy to understand. Her exams are pretty straight forward, but can have trick questions almost. But overall, it is a great class.
The textbook is only required for a small amount of portions of the exams. She is an easy grader and very easy to understand in her class. Of course it helps who your TA's are. Other than that this course is exactly like the syllabus states and class is very entertaining. She does take attendance for an extra credit grade.
Definitely attend class because her exams are heavily lecture based. The exams aren't hard if you actually put in the work and study the content. Easy to pass since the content is so entertaining, but you have to work hard to make an A. She is such a hilarious professor and each lecture makes me laugh. 10/10 recommend, she always makes my day.
Vital for student who want to seek post-graduate education in psychology after obtaining their bachelor's degree. The lectures Dr. Edens has created for this course are EXCELLENT at providing students with important information regarding masters and Ph.D. programs. She provides additional links and articles throughout the semester as well.
Prof Edens is awesome! She's super easy to talk to and really cares about the material, and jokes around during lectures. There are 4 exams, semi-weekly quizzes, and the final is non-cumulative. Reading the textbook and taking lecture notes is pretty necessary for the exams. She's really understanding if you're uncomfortable with the material.
Dr. Edens is by far the best professor at A&M. She really cares about the material and tries to make it fun and engaging. If you attend class and pay attention to lectures, you will easily get an A in the course. I barely had to study just from going to class. She recommended reading the textbook, but I didn't use it.
Truly my favorite professor at A&M! This class involves a lot of fascinating and sensitive content but Dr. Edens makes this class really feel so safe and fun. 4 exams, scattered chapter quizzes (only time you'll need the textbook), and a really fun project that involved me making a female sex organ out of charcuterie meat. Don't ask, just take her!
LOVE DR.EDENS. Took this class for major coursework, and I will 100% be taking her again. You do have to study for exams (4 of them) but they're all multiple-choice. weekly quizzes are fairly easy if you go to class. if you put in the work it should be easy to maintain an A!
I truly loved taking this course. Dr. Edens is so nice and funny, and she gives a reasonable amount of work weekly, and over the course of the whole semester. There's only a small extra credit assignment, but study with quizlets, and you'll do fine on exams. I plan to take her for PBSI 300 this semester.
Attendance is taken for extra credit, lectures are interesting, do the weekly readings. The exams are straight forward and information comes straight from PowerPoints.
Edens is probably the funniest teacher I have ever taken. This class is super interesting and actually helped me a lot in my own life, which I did not expect at all. Tests aren't difficult if you study her slides and some of the textbook. Quizzes are super easy and the few projects are fun and easy too. Definitely recommend!
Dr. Edens is very approachable and is always willing to lend a listening ear. The class sometimes felt like sex ed rather than psychology of sexuality, but it was still extremely manageable. Not a total blowoff, but definitely on the easier side. Study for the exams and you'll pull a high B or A, and go to lecture to get those questions right!
Everyone who has ever taken Dr. Edens will tell you how awesome she is. None of them are lying. I took her for Psyc of Human Sexuality, and her class and lectures were always so interesting and engaging. Attendance is not required, but you want to go to all of her classes just to listen to her.
Dr. Edens was amazing! I took her for PBSI 210 and she made the environment so relaxed and comfortable, especially considering the topics we talked about. You can really tell that she's passionate about the subject she teaches and she's so kind to her students. Read the textbook and go to lecture, the majority of the test comes from lectures.
There's a reason Dr. Edens is so famous as a professor. I loved this class, she creates a safe environment for everyone. Lots of creative thinking with projects, and tests are not too difficult. For tests, pay attention in lecture, plenty of quizlets online already.
Anyone who has taken a class with Dr. Edens will tell you how incredible is. She is so funny and makes going to class genuinely enjoyable. It's very clear what is expected of you and all of her assignments and exams are very straight-forward. TAKE HER!! You will not regret it.
Despite popular opinion, I did not like this professor. She bases all of her exams on OPINION, not fact. She is condescending and does not respond to emails and is impossible to get a hold of. If you are someone who values actual learning and not having her opinions shoved down your throat, DO NOT TAKE HER.
Dr. Edens is an awesome prof! A lot of topics in this class can be pretty controversial and sometimes uncomfortable, but I highly encourage everyone to take this if they can. Edens explains concepts well without forcing her opinions (despite what you may hear), but I do recommend going in open-minded. She also puts condoms on zucchinis. Love her!
All you have to do to get an A is do all the assignments and pay attention to her lectures. If you really listen to everything she says and brush up on the PowerPoints you'll get an A on the tests. It's a good amount of material but it's really an easy class if you put in the effort.
LOVE! She is such a good prof & makes what she teaches very interesting. Quizzes are based on textbook & are very easy. Exams are based on lectures & slides & she tends to put things on them that come from her lecture. Going to class is the best way to be prepared but you can def get an A without going. TAKE THIS PROF
I would 100% retake Dr. Edens! Between the hilarious side notes and jokes during lectures, and her ability to deliver material in an easily graspable way. She gives surprise attendance quizzes for extra credit and exam reviews via a recorded Zoom session and/or in person. She made the lass extremely fun!
Dr. Edens is one of the funniest and most chill professor ive taken so far. She makes the class seem like a conversation, and not a "strict" lecture. Attendance is recommended as she has pop up extra credit attendance. Quizzes are heavily from textbook, and the exams are easy if you go to class and study the slides.
Dr Edens is awesome! She is really funny and takes time to make her lectures interesting. Her quizzes and tests were definitely manageable. I 100% recommend everyone take her!
Lectures are really fun and it's more discussion based. Exams were weighted heavily so do well on those. It sort of felt impossible to study for the exams since the material was coming three different sources. She gives out extra credit in the form of pop quizzes.
She is genuinely amazing. BY FAR the best professor I've had here in Aggieland. She is extremely kind and cares deeply about her students. If you meet with her outside of class she is a great resource for help planning your future.
Psych of women is THE class to take! Dr. Edens is hilarious and lectures were engaging. If you simply go to class, take little notes, you will get an A. There is a textbook but I never read it and got 95s+ on the exams. There are attendance opportunities every Wednesday, but you only need to attend 10 to get full credit. TAKE THIS CLASS!
Dr. Edens is amazing! She is super funny and engaging. Take this course!
Pamela Edens is funny and loves what she does. Be prepared to laugh. I do recommend you attend classes as the exams come straight out of the slides and lectures.
Mrs. Edens is insanely fun! The lectures usually derail into a student-teacher discussion, and everything we learned together was fascinating. When it comes to the class itself, there's about 3 tests and some quizzes every now and then, but the quizzes are open note and the tests aren't that difficult if you study. I would take again!
i took 300 as an elective and its not a super easy A. you have to understand the material well to get an A on the test. questions are thinking not memorization. she's hilarious and does very casual lectures. dont go into it like its an easy A bc its a regular work level of A. shes awesome tho and the class is super interesting. wednesday attendance
PBSI105 is a info course required for the major. 8 AM only. Dr. Edens is alright; she really cares about her students and is very approachable. There are a couple easy assignments. Attendance is most of the grade. There are small groups every other week with upper class students that are not bad. Class can feel disorganized.
one of the sweetest professors i've taken on campus. she was blunt & incredibly funny about a lot of topics that usually are dialed down, but she dialed it up. attendance is graded only on wednesday's, and the exams are straight from the slides. she does like to incorporate things that aren't on the slides & her lectures are so fun, so worth taking
Loved her! Attendance is only mandatory on Wednesdays, but attending lectures helps out a lot on the exams and she often tells you exam questions in class. A few open note quizzes, 5 short projects, and 3 exams (60% of your grade). Exams straight from class, slides, and guest lectures. She is so caring and funny, I would definitely recommend her.
Professor Edens was a joy to learn from. Her lectures were so interesting and funny. We only had mandatory attendance on Wednesdays, but none for Monday or Friday. I thoroughly enjoyed the material.
Dr. Edens is amazing! She's so funny and her lectures are super engaging and interesting. Attendance is only mandatory on wednesdays but if you attend every class you should do great on the tests. Her grading system is not bad at all. It's tests and a few easy projects. She's also super funny and caring. Definitely take a class with her!
She was so funny and nice. How my class was, she only took attendance once a week, and then gave extra credit on low-attendance days. The textbook was just a free pdf, but make sure you read it because there will be questions on the test about it. Overall, I would definitely take her again, she was an awesome professor.
shes kinda rude on emails
She would go off topic sometimes during lectures, but nonetheless it kept the class interesting & engaging. You get attendance points on Wednesdays, but sometimes she'd give an extra attendance point when the room was particularly empty. This class was not an easy A given how subjective some assignments/topics could get, but the content is useful.
She's a very busy but definitely engaged professor given how many courses she teaches. She was a good introduction to the dept of psych & she's pretty knowledgeable on academia, but less so on clinical & private practice. Class is just once a week, so it makes attendance highly weighted. Show up, do the couple of assignments, & you're set.
