Professor Monaco is one of the best instructors I've ever had. She is clear and always helpful. I wish I had her for all my courses. She's the best!

Dr Monaco is not an easy professor. She has a thoughtful lesson plan and sticks to it yet she challenges her students. She works really hard at keeping micro interesting and all of her lectures have important take home points that help reinforce our knowledge. She is a dedicated professional who is very compassionate about her students.

I think she is a wonderful teacher and person. She is always prepared, organized, and stays on topic. She answers any questions you have and is also a very funny person. She makes class fun and interesting. Hint: take excellent notes, study them, and you will get easy A's. The text is useless- and DON’T MISS LAB she gets really angry if u miss lab

Dr. monaco was absolutely fabulous. She makes microbiology fun and interesting.. who thought? She makes jokes and gives so many examples.. She curves her tests and lets you know what to expect. She does care about you as a person and not just about the seat you occupy. I will miss tuesdays and thursdays.. :(

I hate science. she made it alot of fun. Alot expected for a non major class. Very concerned about students.She came to my grandmother's wake -That says alot about the kind of person she is.

She helped me alot. Her tests were fair and you could do good if you went to lecture and studied. Lab was interesting too, but the practical was hard.She taught alot of current event micro too. I liked the hot zone and fast food nation books, I made friends read then too. Good interesting class and teacher

I am glad she taught me, it was a great surprize. She made patho interesting manageable and informative.She took away alot of the stress, Her lectures were organized witth good notes- Don't try to BS her she see right throught it- honesty is always bestwith her. She is funny and she's always very busy. Molloy gives her like 20 classes to teach each semester. She's very easy going and she usually curves her exams, just take good notes and study! P.S. she's always late for class

This professor is funny but very sloppy hand writing you will see if you decide to take her. ALLL of her test are from the notes!! shes cool But for lab she sucks she leaves you there and you have to teach your self. lecture is good!!! get the book only if you are a poor note taker other than that you dont need that expensive book. enjoy!!!!

LOVE Dr. Monoco! She is NOT the hi-tech computer teacher you may want...no PP's...all old fashioned notes...but all her tests are directly from them. We did use the textbook for one takehome test. Those without the textbook suffered. Lab is fun, but she isn't around much for direction. other than that, she is very helpful, accessible and fair.

Prof. Monaco is the easiest professor to have for microbio. Do NOT buy the textbook, its never used. Tests are 100% straight from notes. Tardiness is normal for her, so don't take it to heart.

Spoon feeds you the information you need to know for the exams, don't buy the text book. STUDY and you'll pass. Nice professor and very sarcastic.. don't take it personally. Don't interrupt her by talking rudely in class she hates that.

If you dont study and take notes you will fail the class. She gives alot of chances for extra credit when she can. You just need to pay attention and try not to fall asleep

Wonderful teacher. She doesn't take attendance, but you should always be there to take notes. She uses PowerPoint and whiteboard notes. Emails you the PowerPoints. Warns of tests well in advance and reviews beforehand. Very funny, answers all questions, helpful and responds to emails.

Dr. Monaco's the best! such a sweet professor she gives PowerPoint and whiteboard slides she doesn't take attendance but you should go to fill in the blank notes she provides you with. She does a review before each test and tells you exactly what you need to study! Easy A as long as you study and take proper notes. She's really smart, take her!

Very nice professor. Makes a touch class a little bit easier. Study the review material she gives you along with a little bit of your notes. DO NOT SLACK OFF ON THE LAB BOOK, it factors into your grade at the end of the semester and it will be hard to go back and fix it in the end and will show in your grade.

Great micro class. She is always available. Take a class with her as your lab prof too. The other prof is a nightmare! Come to lab prepared and follow safety measures. Lecture are great. She knows when its too intense and so she will tell you a funny little story. We laugh realax and start again. It is very effective to get us back on track. A++++

Best prof ever. It shows she cares about us the planet and society too. She would talk about things that really matter not just micro. She has helped me find work, she asks about your intersts, goals family and stuff. It makes sense that grads and past students always stop by to say hey. Its more to her than you just paying tiuition.

Dr. Monaco is hilarious and her personality is amazing. Her tests are easy if you study for them and she respects all students. Don't be shy to ask her questions because she is happy to answer them.

Dr. Monaco was amazing her tests were easy just make sure you sit close her handwriting is hard to understand at first but I would take her again and she always brightens up the mood when the class is too quiet. She gives extra credit so do it when it is given it really helps.

Micro isn't easy especially in the summer with not a lot of time to study and learn but she really did her best to do right by us. I HIGHLY recommend her!

She cracks jokes to lighten up the heavy boring info. Like most science classes the text books are not needed. She tells u all the information and makes sure u can keep up bc she verbally explains everything. But everything she says will be on the test. Some questions are a little strange but if alot of people got it wrong she'll throughout the q.

Professor Monaco is a very knowledgeable woman. She is truly an expert in Microbiology. She tells interesting stories and facts in ling lectures to keep you intrigued. Sit close. What she writes on the board, copy down and then what she says, write down too!!! Very important!! Tests come right from what she says in class and NOTHING ELSE. A+!

Dr Monaco can be moody at times but shes an amazing person. she tells lots of stories/jokes to break up the kinda boring material. she doesn't take attendance but she doesn't post notes, she just scribbles them on the board so if you miss class you'll miss out on a lot of info! write fast or bring your laptop. she also reviews before every exam.

Professor Monaco is a very nice, respectable person. She makes the material clear to learn from, the exams are straight from the notes. I would recommend bringing a laptop to class to take notes as she goes through the information rather quickly verbally. There are no powerpoint or notes, just pay attention. There is no way you can fail.

Took microbiology for a summer class. Micro is never easy, it is especially difficult during the summer. If you have to take micro for the summer or any semester take it with Professor Monaco. It seems like an overwhelming class, but it isn't and she is a very bright individual. I respect her, and I truly learned from her.

AMAZING professor, makes lectures enjoyable. You write down everything she says, no notes given in advance. She talks pretty fast but make sure you write everything she says cause it's on the test. Tests are 100 questions but straightforward.

I love Pam!! Only a 4 because her teaching style is a little unorganized, but overall shes a real gem. Make sure to take note of everything she says because chances are there will be a question on it on her 100-question tests. Most of this class is memorization - use quizlets & make sure to study for real to get an A. PS you want her for lab!!

Dr. Monaco is such a nice person! So unbelievably caring and easy to talk to. She is a tad unorganized at times but she knows what she's talking about. Just take good notes, record her lectures and you'll be good to go.

This was a hybrid class so a lot of writing was done outside of class but it was only writing a one page summary of about 10 movies. All the summaries are do at the end of the semester so you can do them when ever you want. There was only two test, midterm and final which she gives a review sheet for. The tests are 10 short essay response questions

Dr. Monaco is a great microbio professor. Tests come directly from what she says in lecture, so if you don't go to class you'll miss test material. Lab was always easy, in and out in an hour and only have to answer questions to hand in at the end of the semester. Take good notes for tests! She's funny and tries to relate topics to the health field.

Absolutely loved professor Monaco. Shes hilarious. If you want to make her day, bring her a diet coke! Speaks fast, so write short hand/type notes and pay attention! I typed up the notes after every class, studied that, and got an A. Also, take her for lab. Super easy labs, and always lets you out early. Just make sure to do the lab q's as you go!

This teacher is an awesome teacher. Even though she does not give notes, she reads off her notes and you are expected to copy off them. She is a very hilarious lady and understands the struggles of a college student. She gives review sheets for tests and those are basically the test so it's not much of a stress. I suggest if you can to take her.

LOVE Dr. Monaco! She is the best biology prof I've had at Molloy! Her notes are a little weird and you have to listen to what she's saying in order to understand it but her tests are very straightforward. She gives you plenty of notice before an exam and even sometimes lets students choose if they are ready take the exam at that time.

Very straight forward with the notes & tests. Review questions are exactly what is going to be on the test. It's easiest to type the notes because she just talks and you have to write down every word she says, no power points. Attendance isn't required but if you skip a lecture, you miss a whole lot of notes. Has some funny jokes every now and then

Professor Monaco is amazing!! I took her for Micro and I would take her again! She doesnt use power point so you have to type the notes as she is speaking, she tells you EXACTLY what is going to be on the exam, and shes funny! I didnt need a textbook either.

Take her! She's very straight forward and gives review questions and extra credit. There is one group project but it's not bad at all. The subject is dragging but this professor is not that bad at all.

Dr. Monaco was an amazing professor to have. Note to the people complaining about having to take notes during lecture: It shouldn't matter? If you care about your grade you can at least put in some form of effort... the only reason this class is "hard" for some is because they don't study/care to attempt to improve their chances of success.

Good professor. She is really funny, but she is awkward at times. I would recommend for you to record her sometimes because she does talk fast. She is a little different in lab compared to lecture, but you should be fine. Just read your notes.

Incredibly easy class if you just did what you were told to. Dr. Monaco is incredibly curt when you ask her questions that have obvious answers. The students complaining about her covid classes are upset because those who got caught cheating were given F's. If you just follow directions its a cake walk

I took 2450 during the pandemic. It was a bit tough but fair if you do the work. She is knowledgable about the subject matter. If you do not study you won't do well. Listen to the lecture and study the notes. The tests are straightforward if you study.

I took this class remotely because of the pandemic. It was not really difficult, you really just need to put in the hours. The final took a long time to complete. But it saved my grade for the class. Great class, you just have to be willing to do a lot of work.

Solid Lectures. The final is a take home. It's requires a good amount of research, but like if you do the work, it's an easy A. If you're lazy, don't take the class.

Dr. Monaco was a great professor for a hard subject. Her lectures were a bit dry, but she gives a thorough review for the exam. She's got a quirky sense of humor that takes a bit to warm up to, but she's hysterical once you understand her. Take home final was fairly research intensive and took time to complete, but do the work and you'll be fine.

We only had 1 test all semester, we didn't really prep for it and it was recorded online. One group project had to be presented to the class and the final was an essay online. She is really funny and knows what she is talking about. Textbook is not needed and all the lectures are online

One of my favorite professors this semesters. Gives ample time to study for tests with review sheet, asks the students how they want to do things and works with us. One group project towards the end of the semester. Easy A class.

I think I can say Prof M has been the most favorable professor so far! She is straightforward with teaching, lectures are a little bland but its not horrendous. Few days before will tell you what topic/idea is necessary thats on the exam. She runs the class where students make decisions on dates, etc. Final is take-home and easy!! TAKE HER!!!

Professor Monaco is a great professor. The only thing I dislike is the bland lectures, but that might just be not interested in Microbiology. She has a very funny personality and is kind to all. Very easy going and approachable. Her labs are simple and easy if you just follow directions.

Very funny n caring. She just reads off powerpoint but before each exam(on proctorio and have a week to take) she gives a whole class for review and reads off what you need to know. Her only grades are her 3 exams and final which is 80% of your grade. Her final is a document and asks you to research microorgs and give characteristics for each one

Very kind lady. She will review what is on her exams and try her best with you if you do not understand something. She will make you feel ok with sharing in front of the class and is nice overall.

Her lectures can get boring but she knows this and tells us that we have to tough it out so it's not that bad. She does an exam review for every test and if you study that, you'll do good. 3 exams and a take-home final that was research-intensive.

Had her for basic human bio (1100). easy, studied on my own. did not need to buy textbook. There were powerpoints uploaded. Sometimes she does not respond to emails, so always stay prepared. Other grades like a paper, discussion posts, and project to help final grade other than exams. She is also a bit disorganized and repeats herself. Stay aware.

Sweet lady. Her class is easy, just make sure to start the final early or it can be overwhelming. She doesn't really talk about it in class, but expect it to be around 20 pages minimum (not as bad as it sounds). Other than that the class is kinda boring, and there are only 3 proctored exams.

I took this for a summer class, had her for lecture and lab, and loved her class so much. Not only is she funny which made the class easy but she made students feel comfortable. Tests were lowkey hard, and proctored online, but as long as you study and pay attention you should be good. Loved her as a person, 10/10 recommend taking her.

Super funny and nice! Exams were low-key hard but you will do good if you just study!!! Lectures are super boring and she does get distracted quite often talking about her personal life and random things. Other than that, I think she was good but probably wouldn't take again.

Favorite professor is EVER. She reminds me of Sheldon's wife from Big Bang, and she has that weird humor, but it makes lectures go by so fast. She gets sidetracked, but it's a 2-hour lecture; it was good to have those breaks. She reviews for tests while looking at the test questions, so she hits every question/topic you need to know.

Before coming into this class, know how to read closely and think critically. Exams are comprehensive and will test both your memorization and your ability to apply your knowledge. Every word matters. Learn your scientific prefixes and suffixes. Read the textbook, ppts, and take the review sheet and create your own flashcards on Anki.

I recommend she list tasks instead of saying them, as it's easy to forget something. She is funny, caring, and understanding, always asking for input on test dates. Her reviews are helpful, and her tests are fair. She doesn't just read slides but provides insightful, educational commentary. I get more than I pay for. I plan to take her again.
