She's very fun! She has a unique way of making you LEARN the material rather than simply standing (or sitting) up there all day, speaking about grammar, sentence mechanics, etc. She has a wonderful personality. Take her class--you won't regret it.

I couldn't stand Ms. Stout. I found her to be rude and unhelpful. If you ask a question she looks at you like you're an idiot and is snappy with her reply. She also cussed in class which I found unprofessional and offensive. I would never take her class again.

She's a good teacher and is very thorough on what homework is due and how to do it. She gets side-tracked pretty easily and I found myself bored a lot of time time. Once in a while she has a really great story to tell. We had 1 group project and 4 major essays. She's probably one of the better teachers to get for Comp II.

I never liked mythology until i took this class. It is def. very fun, and interesting. Prof, is very energentic.like she drinks a red bull!! I just have one complaint, she made us do waaaaaaaaaaay too much work... too many writings and a lot of reading. We also had to do a presentation and a book report. Save yourself, and take this class online.

Folklore was a very fun class, and Prof Stout made it very interesting.

I took her during the summer. She was very involved and active. She requires you to read the test book, and there are quizes over the reading. There was one essay required about 3 pgs, then a presenation that took 10 minutes. She has essay packets, time consuming but easy, she doesn't read them just makes sure their on time and a page long. Easy A.

She's a friendly and intelligent professor with a great sense of humor and thick, sexy red hair. I've had two classes from her and they have both been easy, but memorable. What you learn doesn't just melt away once the semester is over.

She kept the class way fun, and made it interesting. It kind of sucked that we had to buy three books, even though they were only about twenty dollars each. Tests are easy if you come to class, but she's picky about the short essays you have to write for those tests. And that's probably because she gives you the essay questions before the test.

A 4 week class online class. The amount of material covered was insane. She wants you to do well. Responds timely to e-mails and goes out of her way to help if you are doing your work. 3 quizzes, 9 online posts per wk and a comprehensive final. Intense puts it mildy but can get an A if you do the work (its not hard but time/reading is a ton).

Has tendencies to not use time efficiently, when she assigns essay projects she isn't clear at first but closer to the due date becomes more transparent on what she wants in the essay. Is very open with class discussions, and gives you several opportunities to have essay's reviewed for grades. If you want an easy professor, take this class.

Took Folklore as a humanity and LOVED it! Def was not what I was expecting and Professor Stout was one of a kind. Although attendance is not mandatory she gives participation at the end for it.

Professor Stout is wise and witty. She is lenient on essays and has some interesting conversations in the classroom. We covered a variety of material and extra credit was given in each journal packet. So no need to stress.

If you are a student who pays attention you will get an easy A. Textbook is used maybe 3 times in semester. She is very caring and will sit down with you to explain carefully if you don't understand. She is very lenient on grading papers so you do not have to be a pro at writing a paper to get a good grade.

In addition, Professor Stout is extremely understanding of her students' concerns. Also, the advised humanities book for this course is mandatory to pass this class.

Professor Stout is a great professor and wants her students to succeed. I was late turning in my final paper and she still proceeded to let me turn it in for a grade. This mythology class is reading heavy. The majority of the myths are interesting though. Assignments consist of discussions, 10 question quizzes and essays.
