She was seriously the BEST teacher and my favorite teacher I have had. No matter how much help you need, she will spend hours helping you with your question, making sure you understand everything. I would recommend her to everyone. She is the greatest:) Her tests are kind of difficult, but she prepares you very very well, and makes it okay.

If you are gonna take a science class take this one she really cares about how you do... she is really young and lectures to you not at you like other professors.

I think maybe two people dropped her lab but only because they were doing poorly in lecture. take Bloss for lecture by the way.

Dr. Ball was the only reason that I even took chemistry and had fun. She is sooooo incredibly helpful, and when I had a problem with one of the other students, she listened to me and gave me a pep talk. If you have to wait till another semester to take chem, take Dr. Ball.

Pj was amazing! I took her this summer, and though she warned how difficult it would be, between her willingness to help students and clarity in her answers, it wasn't bad,especially if you put the study time in. She is a wonderful person, and made an 8 am summer class fun and exciting! I'll miss her, take her if you can, she's the best!

I loved Dr. Ball. She is so smart and super nice. she is always there to help and is very understanding. I thought this class would be hard but she explains it so well, it isn't hard at all. She is particular about grading though so make sure you check your work! She's a great teacher and you can tell that she loves what she does.

GREATEST. TEACHER. EVER. PERIOD. Labs are normally not my thing but I actually enjoyed comin to class every week. I actually attended every lab, which is unlike me, especially in the morning. I love her!!!!!!!!!!!

She is so awesome. She is very helpful and sweet. She makes sure you know everything before she moves on. I think it's an easy class as long as if you pay attention, ask questions, and study. I recommend her to anyone. Also I have not used the book once, though it can be helpful for practice questions, but she post some online all the time.

I fell behind on one of the chapters and she was willing to meet with me even out of her office hours, I though it would take her a couple hours to explain the topic I was out in 15 minutes! This is the BEST professor I have ever had! The class is a piece of cake, even after not having chemistry for a couple of years. She LOVES chemistry, and in a way makes you love it too lol. Exceptional professor! I am not a chem person and absolutely enjoyed her class. Dr. Ball goes out of her way to make sure everyone understands the material. Very flexible and open to answering questions in class, after class, in office, and via email. You will not find another professor that matches her dedication.

I cannot praise Dr. Ball enough. She is the best professor I have had at NKU. I did awful in high school chemistry, earning a C. With Dr. Ball, I've gotten 98's and higher on her exams because she is so clear and helpful. I think shes fantastic and everyone should take her class. She also gets to know all of her students by name, so thats a bonus!

I was nervous to take this class, chemistry does not come easy for me but PJ made everything so clear and made learning the material fun. She is also hilarious and will crack some jokes here and there, I think she is the best professor at NKU because she really does help you until you completely understand it and wants you to be successful.

PJ was the BEST professor I have had so far. I went in to this class thinking I'd really struggle, but with her methods of teaching that was not at all the case. I never liked chemistry up until this point, and PJ inspired me to change my major I loved the class so much. I would honestly take the class over again just to have her as my teacher.

Not only is PJ an excellent professor, she genuinely cares. I frequently pop into her office to talk or to vent, and she's always willing to listen. The only time I've seen her office door not open to literally anyone is when she wasn't in it. Also, PJ has a unique ability to make you feel like a genius after bombing everything. Take her.

PJ is the best professor I've had at NKU! I took her for CHE 115 lab. She is so passionate and caring. I was afraid of chemistry; she made it fun and interesting. It's pretty easy to pass, because she's always there to help you with your labs, but she doesn't give it to you. You have to understand the content, but she makes it easy.

She is awesome! wish I had her for every class. She is super intelligent. She remembers everyone's name in the first few weeks of class, which amazed me considering there are at least 50 people in the class. She is willing to elaborate if you don't understand the material. I would definitely not pass without her being my professor for chemistry!

PJ is extremely resourceful inside and outside of class. I got turned around very easily with some of the math. She would come in early to help out and really proves she cares. The practice problems were a huge help. She emphasizes that there are multiple ways to do the math which is nice.

10 min into 1st class I knew PJ was going to be the best professor I'd ever had. She's seriously great. Cares about us, loves when we ask questions, doesn't move on until we're comfortable with the material. I was dreading chemistry but the way PJ teaches it, it's completely understandable. I'm disappointed I won't get to have her for other classes

PJ is absolutely amazing! I did not have a good experience with chemistry in high school but someone told me that I needed to try to get PJ. She is the best teacher I have ever had and the only reason I got an A. You have to put forth an effort but she makes it easy with multiple practice questions available on Blackboard.

PJ is one of the greatest professors ever. I've taken my fair share of classes, and I wish PJ could teach them all. She knows your name by week 3 and genuinely cares if you do well in her course. CHE115&CHE115L are difficult classes, but you wouldn't think that with PJ teaching. If the material doesn't make sense, she works with you until it does.

She is honestly one of the best professors I have taken! There are 3 tests overall, and honestly if you study and work hard throughout you'll get a good grade. She's always willing to help you out and even gives additional worksheets for help. I would definitely take her again!

She also gives extra credit and partial credit on tests. Its easy to get an A if you pay attention!

I had PJ for lecture & lab. PJ was always willing to meet before& after class, & during her office hours. Exams & quizzes are majority of your grade, but she does include participation points. The final exam is cumulative. For lab, PJ was always willing to explain topics different ways. She was also willing to check your lab packet for correctness.

She is my favorite professor. If you put in the time, she gives you everything you need to succeed. Even if you do not understand something, she will take as much time as you need to help you figure it out. I loved her!

Dr. Ball is absolutely amazing and wants everyone to succeed in her class. Her class is very lecture heavy but she does her best to keep everyone engaged. In each module, she posts lecture videos, practice worksheets, and the answers. Her lectures are very open and people are able to ask questions whenever they need to.

She is extremely patient and understanding. She provides extra practice worksheets (not for grades) and practice exams to help prepare you for all the exams. If you do the worksheets and understand how to do them, you will pass all the exams. Dedicate time to studying for lecture, you will not pass if you do not study. She's an amazing professor!
