Great teacher. I got over my fear of public speaking through the many speeches required. Tests and quizes were easy. Assignments were short. Individual and group presentations.

We had many speech assignments and a take home final. We did make our speeches using PowerPoint and other visual aids. Good class.

Professor Shivers is a very nice person. You will be in a group after the first couple of classes. Took this on a Sunday afternoon and she shortened the class. 4 Group presentations that had to be on power point. Easy class, my group rec'd all 100%. We took one quiz.

I just finished taking this class and Prof. Shivers is the most understanding, professional and loving teacher. Lots of keyterms, but they are easy. Three speeches and she makes them fun. I was very nervous about taking this class, but after my second day in her class I was looking forward to the class. Easy A, just do your homework.

EASY A!!! All you use te text book for is the key terms.ALL tests and Quizes are OPEN BOOK!:) The final is a power point presentation,this will be the only speech you will give in the entire class.Mrs.Shiverrs is AWESOME!

Mrs. Shivers was a great teacher. It is definitely hard not to get an A in her class. Just do the homework on Eagle online and put a little effort into your speeches and voila... A :) I actually enjoyed going to her class. She is a very understanding teacher when it comes to late assignments. The exams are taken on Eagle Online. The book helps.

Great teacher! I took her class last summer during the first session, and it was a hybrid class. You'll get an A as long you attend class, do all the assignments and go prepared with your Power Point for when you present. You also don't have to be perfect and sound like a professional, just be YOU! :)

Literally the easiest class I have ever taken. When I went for the speech final in person, she was extremely nice and has a great sense of humor. However, as a distance education teacher she was almost TOO easy. I checked my grades from last semester and I don't think she even graded everything but she gave me an A anyway. Easy A. Nice person!

Class is super easy! Just make sure to stay on top of weekly assignments and you will get an A! The final was in person and had to present a "speech" but she was very late and by the time it was my turn I just said my name what my topic was what I learned then left. You don't really learn much but great GPA booster!

I literally got A's for every single discussion. The quizzes are super easy too. I didn't even have to read AT ALL, literally. And that's exactly why it was difficult for me. Because I forgot to do the assignments a lot of times. Why? It was so easy that I didn't have a feeling I had a class at all, no pressure AT ALL!!! That's why I forgot a lot.

Professor Shivers is extremely helpful. The class material is not difficult, but you must keep up. The online class moves along quickly. You must deliver your prepared speech in person. If I needed another speech class, I would certainly take another one of her courses.

I took this class online during the Fall of 2015. This class was pretty easy. Read the material and to the work and you will to well in this class. The final was in person, it was a breeze. She is down to earth and wants to make you feel comfortable. Take her you wont regret it ") A+++++

I think Professor Shivers was great! Her expectations are clear - do you work, on time, and follow all of the instructions, and you have an A! I missed an assignment and made a B but I would take her again in a heartbeat. She's very responsive to email, an i really enjoyed her class.

I took Ms. Shivers for the SPCH 1321 mini-session during the 2016 Winter break. She's a very easy grader. Just do what she says, turn your work in, and you'll get an A.

Easy A if you finish all your work on time. She doesn't like late work. four assignments due each week, which is a lot but as long as you do it on time just as she says you will be fine. 4 Special Activity, 2 test Midterm, and Final. 2 Speech. a lot of case study 2 discussion questions and few other assignments.

This is one of my best instructor. she is wonderful, caring and supportive. she explains her work with ease. she gave me hope when I lost it. she teaches with different skills and follows up even after class. she can teach a dullard, successful. what a gem, teaches like a teaches her children. Great class. Great teacher. Everything is laid out for you from the beginning. Get the book. Responds and grades in a timely manner. Easy grader, but seriously NO LATE WORK, so don't wait until the last minute!

This was my very first online class. I loved it!!! Gives extra credit for rating her. Very understanding if you just email her and explain. She has easy busy work. Two speeches where you have to record yourself. I would definitely recommend to take her for speech.

Professor Shivers is an inspirational person, caring very accessible outside of class. She has a clear grading criteria with some amazing lectures that will help you with your speaking in the public. I'm shy and like to just get understanding of the work, but she broke me up out of that shyness. How do people know what you want or how you feel?

I took this class during a mini-winter semester. The work load was heavy as you can imagine only because it went by so quickly. Fortunately, Professor Shivers gave access to all assignments up front making it easy to work ahead. She graded pretty quickly and fairly. As long as you do the work you will receive a decent grade. Overall easy A+ for me.

Professor P. Shivers has always been available when I needed help or needed to ask questions. Her class is pretty clear, we know what must be done and when, and when it comes to grading, just simply do the assignment that she assigns and you will pass her class. Prof Shivers was an amazing professor. Her assignments were too easy to do, even for the two presentations that we needed for the end of the semester. Her class is an easy A if you really apply yourself, you can finish all her assignments in 2-3 days max.

I would definitely take this class again!! The professor is very caring, she will give you extra time for the assignments if you talk to her. The work is not hard because she gives you time enough to work on them. She replies really fast to emails and as long as you try you are good. The only way you can fail is if you dont do the work at all.

This professor is the best professor, I took her for a 3 week class. Her class is laid out clear & u can finish before due date. Two recorded speeches, 12 short answer questions from case studies (basically your opinion), Very easy and she does give extra credit & second chances if u mess up. You can finish this whole class in 5 days or less.

Ms. Shivers is an outstanding teacher. Every question I had through out the semester she was alway very responsive and would clarify any questions that I had. If you expect her to give you an A all you have to do is study your material and actually do your work, thats an easy A, couldnt have asked for a better teacher.

This is the easiest class I have ever taken. Just complete all your assignments by the due date and you will surely pass. I took the class online anytime, so there is no excuse not to complete the well instructed assignment. Professor Shivers, does respond to email and text messages so if you are in need of help she will respond.

She is very understanding professor. You will write papers but she isn't a hard grader for your papers. You will have a lot discussion to completes but they are super easy. Some of her papers you have to submit by video but they were still super easy. I received a 90 in her class and I'm not the best at writing papers at all.

I put "so many papers" but that's just the fact that every single assignment makes you open up your word doc to write tiny paragraphs. Very easy class. I honestly don't think she sees the work but as long as it looks okay you get an easy 100. You will have to write two speeches and send video but you can stutter as much as you want and still a 100.

Dr. Shivers was a great professor. She clearly communicated assignments via canvas. Her powepoints contained most of the information needed for assignments, no proctored exams, and easy grader. I was super sick during the semester and she worked with me. Take her, you wont regret it!

We have super easy assignments that take less than 5 minutes to due once a week every monday. Not a hard class at all! It will not stress you out. We do two speeches that have to be recorded and are easy, she is not a tough grader so everyone should be fine. A super easy class I definitely recommend.

Professor Shivers made the class easy and effortless, all the assignments were straight to the point. You will have to film yourself for a project but the topics are easy to cover, you will reach the required time easily. Very understanding and was always open for questions. One assignment per week and it was optional to read a textbook.
