The most good looking professor at U of T. Very intelligent and extremely helpful. He'll help you out with your other courses too (the ones he doesn't teach) very nice guy. Best prof at U of T. Wish every prof was as amazing as him. you rock parham!

Prof. Aarabi is a very helpful prof. He is considerate, helpful and knowledgeable. One of the best Prof's in engineering.

I don't understand why people are rating him 1 out of 5 for level of difficulty.I didn't find him impossibly hard.I thought he was reasonable.A great prof. All other profs should learn to teach from him. He's THE BEST AT U OF T. The smartest EngSci ever!!
Prof. Aarabi is a great prof! He teaches well, gives good guidance and is helpful and wise.
Only good at talking, but very hard marker...what's the point? He's not good at all I'd say
The worst prof at the U of T!!! Just because he was 'lucky' (I wouldn't call him smart) and graduated from EngSci does NOT mean that he has to be so hard
Prof. Aarabi is the most helpful and considerate prof I have ever seen. I hope to take his class next year.
Persian Guy is smaaart!!
prof Aarabi is an amazing prof, his lectures are clear, and he tries his best to help you with problems
Best prof at UofT
The cutest prof. at U of T and he's smart too!
not too bad...

actually, i'm in ece302 and i agree with these comments! free pizza + help with comp org + help with linear sys + a break in every class = a pretty good prof
Good person
he talks like a robot! i hate him. i hate all engscis. and i specially hate those poeple that ask questions in class over and over and over ...
very good person ... you can talk to him about anyting
Prof. Arabi is just AMAZING!!!! Loved his option talk!

He is the smartest and most eloquent prof that I've ever had. He really cares about the students, puts in an incredible amount of time and effort, and delivers TV quality lectures that are really fun and useful. BEST PROF BY FAR.
prof arabi = slick, confident, friendly, caring, best prof at uoft. it doesn't hurt that he looks like collin farrel either! :)
Destroyed me in the course then in the final. Horrible
Worst prof at U of T
with so many bad profs around, I get annoyed when I see ignorant/wrong/evil comments about the ONLY GOOD PROF at UofT. Aarabi rocks!
Grow up people. If you think he is a bad prof., say exactly what makes him bad. If you think he is good, say exactly what makes him good. This nonsense i hate him i love him crap is retarded. I was in ece302, and I liked him cause of breaks+20 off hrs
The best professor in U of T Engineering. Easy on the eyes :->
Awesome prof. Smartest person I've ever seen
Dr. Parham Aaarbi should become the next Dean of the Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering. He truly is that good. Most knowledgable and most fair professor I have had during my time at U of T!!
THE SEXIEST PROF AT U OF T
he is a nice guy. he hires a LOT of students for the summer ... so if you need a summer job he is the person to go to. He has a different teaching style and really cares. For example, he took about 10 of the top performing students in his class to lnch
best pro i've had in engineering!
Very hot prof

At first he came across a little arogant but when I went to his office he seemed like a caring and nice prof. He knows his stuff and is very clear in his explanations. Best prof so far at UofT.
well..he's good in class.. but once you are done with him.. i guess he isnt that helpful any more..what iam saying is that he's only nice to "current" students
good teaching style .. have u ever heard of a prof that gives 5 minutes break in the middle of the class so students can fresh up .. best prof at u of t for sure !

Best prof at UofT
best prof in the ece department, best prof in U OF T Engineering, best prof at U of T, best prof in Ontario, Best prof in Canada, best prof in the world.
Best prof at UofT for sure. He's a great guy in person as well. I tend to disagree that he's impersonal after graduation.he's very helpful even when u're finished with his classes. For example, when you see him around the halls, or if you need a job, or a letter of reference. Best prof I've ever had
Clear and helpful and friendly and fair. He devoted his last class to answering any questions at all about life, but most specifically what option to take next year. I have heard that he's rude to former students and is acting for a teaching award, I don't know about that. Best prof I've ever had.
not as long as we have aarabi!!!!!!!!!!
Excellent Prof indeed! well organized lectures and humourous teaching style. great learning experience!
Not a good prof. Illusions of grandeur.
A really nice prof. Helped with design as well as other courses, and had a really interesting last lecture discussing options and jobs and grad school. Best prof at UofT.
He IS one of the best profs at UofT. He always cares about the students, he would come to the tutorials, and he is giving a lot of students (including me) summer jobs. Best prof by far!
I personally feel that Aarabi is overrated. He gives a misrepresentation of the difficulty of the material by taking up only the easiest concepts and giving an easy midterm. (Beware of the final) This prof is a first-rate politician and salesman, but he definitely needs to learn how to be modest.
I personally think that Aarabi is a fantastic prof. First off, his lectures and lecture style is extremely clear and he answers every question in class in detail (tough, sometimes a bit too much detail). He is extremely respectful of the students and knows his stuff very well! Best prof at UofT!!
He is the BEST prof that I have had in the past three years. He is very clear, organized and he KNOWS what he is talking about. Professor Aarabi is definitely an asset to the ECE department @ UofT.
Prof. Arabi is the best prof at U of T because he wants to be. He was a top EngSci and got a phd in two years, no wonder he's doing it again (being the best) at U of T. Taking his course is like riding a Rolls. Exam and midterm Q's are ingenous and he's the prof everyone wants to research with. A++
This guy has office hours on a Saturday Nuff said
execlent
He's a great prof...he makes the course so much easier than it actually is
This man is perhaps the most media savvy man to have ever lived. And is he ever good with powerpoint! He is one powerpoint presentation from having all the countries of the world surrender to him, creating a world state with Aarabi as the undisputed god. He is now the main focus of the Maclean's article about U of T. What next?
Amazing prof!
great!
Great Prof
After the mark I got in that course, I can't say anything but good things about him! :)
Amazing prof, he actually cares about his students.
He is misleading. The material covered in his class is not useful when it comes to grad school. Students from other universities have already covered the material in greater depth in their undergrad studies, and I was forced to relearn the whole course in a week. Probability is absolutely not what he makes it out to be.
great prof, great course!!! crystal clear lectures.
His communicating abilities are fantastic, keeps the class fresh to avoid boredom. Learn the names of student. He is always there for students, to help them, even if it is with other courses.

okay ... having actually attended his ece253 class (does he even teach ece302 ... who are all these ece302 peeps!!!) ... he IS amazing. The reason is that he stayed a whole saturday helping us with our design project. Plus, the mid class breaks don't hurt either!
NOT AMAZING AT ALL, VERY VERY AVERAGE
a good person, and a great, clear, and energetic lecturer, which I have repeatedly said. anyone who says otherwise has obviously never attended any of his lectures.
writing a little messes, but clear voice and objective... able to explain knowledge clearly,... take great consideration into student's concerns....

5 minute break
he is a clear lecturer but not a good lecturer - because he cares about his ratings and not the course material
He is a clear lecturer and knows how to deliver the material, but he intentionally leave out the hard stuff to make the course easier. Also, he has arguably the biggest ego out of all profs...
good lecturer
for me he was a terrific professor but ofcourse a remote one!I followed his researches in Microphone Arrays for my thesis and they really usefull to me.
He rocks...best prof ever!
Best Prof Eva!...
can it get any easier or better?! Answer: NO! Tests & exams are like reading a story...
Very cool guy, marked our midterms on the SAME DAY it was given to us! Has very creative questions in his exams (funny)
He pronounces certain words pretty funny :P But he is a really good prof, explains the basic concepts VERY well, and then does a lot of (albeit simple) examples
Amazing professor, the only downside is that examples in lecture are a bit too simple.
too easy examples... i can learn that at home..no need to come to lectures
HE IS THE BEST EVER
this gys knows what is he doing, the best!!! Makes even the most difficult concepts easy and clear! He's amazing!
Terrible. He spends entire lectures clearing up concepts just because a single lazy student couldn't understand. Also comes across as a sneaky politician who pretends to be nice for his own political agenda. From the way he walks to the way he talks, it's quite clear that he has an ego the size of Toronto.
Amazing prof. Really puts the class in U of T. Absolutely clear explanation of concepts. Inspired me into taking Signals further on.
He cares deeply about his evaluations because he decided to buy the whole class breakfast the day before they were due. Typical.
I hate him and the entire course. First, he's got a very stupid accent that makes it impossible to understand the course. Second, he gives a 5 minute break in the middle of the class. Third, he takes most of the lecture to answer questions ... that is NOT what a lecture is supposed to be about.
an okay course overall ... would have liked harder applications
What was up with the exam! 20 pages long. Ghosts going to freakin MARS! More like a novel than an exam.
A real gentleman. Explains everything clearly. Listens to everyone's feedback. loved the letures
Cares too much about evaluations; too little about the material Smart guy though
Could not have asked for a better prof for ECE302. Gives very clear lectures and easy tests
Best Prof ever !!!
Absolute Class!! This guy! You can't really find a fault even if you try really hard.
He is very good at building from the ground up to his point. The nature of this course is weird though, everything is related to a general concept and it makes it easy to lose track in lecture. Ask questions! He is very responsive and will repeat the same concept as many times as you need to understand. He is also pretty open to feedback.
best prof at UofT ever!!!
Professor Parham is such an amazing professor; his lectures are super engaging and is able to help the students understand the material very well. Lots of examples are used to help reinforce the concepts learned in class and his reviews before midterms/finals is also extremely helpful.
He is a very inspiring lecturer. Lectures are not mandatory, but you are guaranteed a good mark if you just attend his lecture.
He is a great professor and his lectures were really interesting to attend. Sometimes the pace might be a little fast but as long as one pays attention, it shouldn't be a problem. His tests have great storyline which makes the whole exam situation more fun! Recommend to attend in person.
Not accessible outside of class, very test heavy, no forums to ask questions online like piazza
Many people think this is an easy course but the content after the first midterm all ramps up. Prof Aarabi did a good job teaching the content with clear examples to reference. All exams are open book so as long as you take good notes and understand wording/where to apply concepts you should be fine. Easy math credit & prereq to get out of the way.
