Awesome character-based movie selection. Worth taking just to sit through all the great films. The midterm we had took some material from the book, but the emphasis on class participation and the essay final don't necessitate the text. A fun and eye-opening, if easy, class. Film buffs will love it.

Honestly, the easiest class I have ever taken in my academic career. ANI 1, all i had to do was watch a cartoon and write 2-3 paragraphs based on the episode I watched and what the themes were. Super lenient grader and responds to emails quite quick. Essays are a little long but if you do surface level research, expect to get an A+. Good luck!

Took the 8-week class and it was super easy! All assignments are really easy and so were the essays. Grading was super lenient and she basically gives full credit just for completing the assignments. The lectures were pretty interesting too! Highly recommend taking this class!

Super easy A. Took the 6 week summer course where you just watch 2-3 movies a week and answer her questions and reply to one classmate. Midterm and final are just answering questions about the movies again. Basically graded for completion but she will dock points for late work so make sure to be on top of deadlines as they're usually Tues-Thurs.

In this class you only watch 1-2 movies a week and write a report about each movie. The movies he assigned were all amazing and interesting. He also does not grade harshly and prompts us to converse with each other about the films which I thought was cool.

One of the best, fun, and easiest class ever! I took the 6-week long class, so it consists of 2-3 movies a week - each having their own discussion mainly on scenes that have taught you the most about the film industry. Midterm and final exam are about those scenes that you find knowledgable, no "right or wrong" answer, just do the work! x

Really easy class if you're taking this to knock out GE classes, but if you're a Film Major, this is not the class for you...

Very easy class! Only an 8 week course, so take her class if you love animation! Only covers history of American Animation though, I wish she covered more international animation as well, but nevertheless, watching older animation films is quite interesting and sometimes avant-garde

The entire class is showing up and watching a movie. The prof will then go around the room, down her roster, and say, "Did you enjoy this film?" for each person. The class is a joke and a waste of money. If you plan on taking this course to fulfil a requirement, look for another class. Its an easy A though. Just a waste of money and time.
