Amazing professor to say the least! Gives great clinical examples from his research in Munich. Always available to meet out of class if you need any help. Consultation for the group project is key to getting a good mark. Dr. Fallavollita is a MUST take for the HSS3101 class!

He is a great prof who truly wants his students to succeed. He ties the material into practical health situations very well. There is a group project worth 30% of your grade but you have all semester and if you give it a solid effort you will not be disappointed in your grade. Def would take another course with him in a heartbeat. Great prof!

By far one of my favourite profs, there's a lot of in class activities, but these normally help you to understand the concepts better. He is straightforward with everything that was needed to know for the exams and definitely cares for students success in the course. 10/10 would recommend.

He gave the Statistics class for the first time this semester and did an amazing job. The midterm exam was easy. The final exam was fair but long. Pascal was generous and bell curved the final exam grades and posted that the final class average was a B+. Take Pascal for any of your classes. I took him for HSS3101 and he is unbelievable motivator.

When the prof corrects the final exam in 2 days that is dedication. Exam questions were very fair. Final exam was very long but he gave us 15 extra minutes. Class average was a B+. He responds to emails fast and is available to answer your questions at anytime. Not bad for a first time prof teaching statistics.

Midterm exam easy. Final exam fair but long. He bell curved the final because he cares for the success of his students. The guy sits down amongst the students and teaches the class. What does that tell you about what kind of prof he is. Statistics is meant to be hard but he made it easy for us. B+ class average. Do not hesitate to take him.

It is funny how those that don't do well crucify a professor who made the midterm exam easy and the final exam fair. I finished the final eam and did super well. Those who complain don't talk about the bell curve that brought the class average to a B+, or how amazing the lectures were, or how sympathetic the prof was. Pascal is phenomenal.

The course content is interesting. The class almost never lasted 3 hours. The exams were fair, you just have to memorize everything on the slides to get a good grade. For the group project, everyone seemed to have a similar grade. I'm not the biggest fan of the teacher, I didn't like his attitude when students asked questions.

He's a great lecturer, he is good at explaining, gives lots of different examples of questions during lectures with solutions and those will be the only types of questions you will see on the midterm and final. He is also really approachable which makes it easier to ask questions. 10/10 prof.

Do not take this class with anybody but Pascal, he is amazing! Midterm was easy, final was challenging. The only thing I disliked about this class was that there are no part marks on the final exam and that the final exam was SO long. My mark ended up decreasing after the final because no part marks were awarded for this final. Great prof though!

I've never felt the need to give a rating, but Pascal actually deserves praise for being such a great prof. He's funny and approachable, and will go over concepts with you until you understand them. Always makes time for his students, exams can be challenging but they are very fair and reasonable. TAKE HIM if you can!

The best HSS prof! I had him for my HSS stats class and he made complex concepts easy to understand. Exams are very fair and a reflection of the slides and homework. Very approachable if you have questions as well. Definitely take a class with him!

He's one of the best profs I've had at uOttawa. His midterm and final are both multiple choice and all based on the powerpoints. Group project was very easy and a great grade booster. He tries to be entertaining during the lectures to keep the students engaged. Definitely recommend if you can take this class.

Mickey mouse stuff, just like he says! Best stats prof fr he makes the content very easy to understand. So make sure to not miss any of his classes. Redo all the exercises on his slides plus the extra practice problems that he provides, and you'll be more than ready for the exams.

There is not much to add when reading all his reviews. He is top percentile when it comes to Profs. The best experience I personally had when it comes to mathematics. Accessible outside of class, super approachable, and you can tell he wants the best for the students. If you have the opportunity to take any of his classes, please do so.

I loved having him for stats! Because it was online, there was a 50% midterm and 50% final, both were relatively easy (averages in the mid 80s). There was also no textbook which made the workload especially manageable. I didn't go to any classes after the midterm because I found the slides to be sufficient and still did well. 10/10 prof!

Best prof. He made learning stats somehow fun. His classes were super engaging, you can tell he is passionate about what he is teaching which is the best. It was a 50% midterm and final which is a little scary but he makes sure everyone understands the information well and he goes over examples multiple times. Definitely recommend.

Pascal is an amazing prof, due to everything being online and having to take a math class I was worried... but he is AMAZING. Show up, listen to the lectures and understand the practice problems and concepts within the lecture and you will easily get an A. Very very fair exams, such an amazing guy.

Took stats last year in french, studied more than I ever have, got a tutor, did every single practice problem, and more, yet I still finished with a C+ Decided to take this class again but in English this time with Pascal and finished with an A+. I cannot stress this enough... Pascal was an incredible professor - caring and patient. Thank you!

Pascal is the best prof I've ever had. He explains everything until everyone understands and wants the class to do well (literally expect a class avg. >80). He's so kind and his expectations are so clear. Showing up to his lectures isn't absolutely necessary, but you'll want to. Take anything you can taught by him, best guy out there.

Really cares about his students. Class average above 80, and the examples done in the lecture are the exact same ones done in the mideterm/final. Don't need to show up to lectures, but his lectures are really short so why not. 50 Midterm, 50 final (for this semester). Highly recommend this prof!!!!

Pascal is 10/10. I took stats with him as well. He is so kind and cares about his students. He makes lectures interesting and tells you exactly what will be on the exams. (pay attention to what is bolded etc. in his slides) He gives tons of time for the group project and tells you exactly what he is looking for. No textbook too!

Pascal was an amazing professor, by far my favourite prof at the university of Ottawa so far. If you are choosing between professors for HSS2381, choose Pascal, he makes lectures interesting and explains content very well. I am generally not amazing at math but his teachings helped me succeed. Every student that I know of who has had him loved him!

Pascal is one of the best profs. His lectures were very clear and the class was supposed to be 3 hours but he took max 2 hours. He was willing to meet up with people after class about the midterm and exam if they didn't do well. Just do the homework and the example questions in his lectures and you'll be fine!

Pascal is the BEST professor I've EVER had. He teaches the material so incredibly well, he spends extra time with students who need help, he did live lectures and uploaded them afterwards, and NOTHING was a surprise on the exams. He's the only prof that made online school easy, just do the homework and pay attention to the "Holy Grail" slides!!!

I enjoyed the class. The class average was mid 80s but standard deviation was low (almost everyone got the same mark), so you really had to work for your A+.

Pascal was absolutely the best prof I had this semester. I thought stats would be such a tough course, and dont get me wrong, it can be, but he makes the class so much more bearable and even enjoyable. His slides are very clear, and provides lots of examples for you to get a clear grasp of the content.

Great prof overall, lectures are fun and enjoyable. The content is very simple, all you need to know is when to use different formulas/tables for different problems. MT and final are both worth 40%, but they're open book and are very easy if you studied. Labs are worth 20% and are literally free marks.

Professor Pascal Fallavollita is an amazing person . This course was very challenging however he made the concept so easy just Mickey Mouse stuff . I highly recommend him you will get A + if you put the hard work . I am glad I checked his reviews and switched to his class .

Do yourself a favor and take this prof. I have friends in the same course with other profs and their class averages are over 30 percent lower. Spend one hour a week going over problems from the previous week, and you are set for the semester. Low stress and the concepts are so easy after he repeats things 8 times per lecture.

He is a great prof. The class is not hard at all or "mickey mouse stuff" as he likes to call it. The labs are a great boost. The exams are not hard at all either. just know your equations and do the practice problems and your set.

Incredibly caring, honest, loving professor ! He was clear on what will be on the exam/midterm and what wont. Tip: study all the slides, even the PICS/GRAPHS. Pascal treats his students with love, respect and understanding and always replies to emails! He makes a few sarcastic comments at times which imo was the absolute highlight of the class :))

Super fun prof! Even though it was an evening class, he always made an effort to bring some life to the lecture and made it really interesting. His exams are pretty straight forward, but you have to really read the everything on the slides, from pictures to the fine print. But overall a wonderful and passionate prof and would definitely recommend!

What a wonderful prof! I did bad on my midterm and when I booked an appointment to ask for help, he was so caring and helped me out, my final exam was a 90 thanks to his feedback! He is a great stats prof and his content helped me prepare for stats 2 very well. Highly recommend! (definitely attend his classes, it will help!)

Very nice guy that wants his students to succeed. We had a midterm that was online and a final paper and presentation done in groups. He gave specific criteria that seems intimidating, but he's generous with marking, He can be really blunt with his feedback but he means well and wants you to succeed. If you can take a class with him, do it!

He's a pretty chill prof. 1 midterm which was online, and group assignments/presentation. He is super caring, class was 7-10 and it was ramadan he allowed class to be online. He's funny and can keep the class engaged. Midterm is straight from the slides, super easy if you study properly, he will give hints in class. Group assignment is not too bad!
