I have always had trouble with algebra until now, she really makes an effort to connect personally and makes sure you understand the material without making you feel stupid. If I need to take another math class in my major I hope she teaches it.

SHe is a great professor!! She makes math fun & is extremely helpful. She is incredibly patient & just an overall nice person. I will definitely look for her in any future math classes I have to take.

Fast track class. Very thorough and great teaching style. She reviews new material and as a class you discuss the material. Then you will interact and practice at the board. She is willing to help if you do not understand something. She returns all emails! She utilizes Angel and keeps accurate grades. One of the BEST teachers I have ever had!

This teacher is "The Perfect Math teacher" Her class is easy, becasuse she explains everything, and takes her time to make sure every student fully understands what she is teaching. She is very sweet, and made math fun, and easy to learn. If math isnt really your thing, this class will make you think otherwise, I felt like a total genuis passing :]

I never made it passed pre-algebra in high school, and that was 20 years ago! I label myself as "numerically challenged", and I am leaving this class with a 100+ average and VERY confident going into MAT1033. I am no longer astounded by the fact that letters and numbers can mix! Thanks, Mrs. F!!!

Fast track course, I learned Alot from Ms Pat! She makes the class fun, and makes the course easy by explaining in detail every sort of problenm we'll encounter in the exams and in our next math course. Nothing but great things to say about her. You will not regret taking her!!

Fasttrack 18/28 GREAT teacher. Within the first days, she managed to get us to bond together and work with each other & push one another for success. Her teaching style is GREAT; When you dont get it, she will not move on until you do. Her style is KIND yet strict. Do your HW and ask questions. I hate math & was afraid. Finished with an A and B!!!

She is one of the best teachers I have ahd so far. She is kind and really wants her students to successed. However she isn't afraid to put you in your place if you cross her. Lot of HW and online quizzes. Test were easy and some extra credit is given.If you don't do the HW and quizzes then don't except to pass.I wish I could take her for other math

Mrs. Fitzsimmons is THE GREATEST math teacher ever! Anyone with anxiety over math should take her! She breaks everything down and teaches you the easiest methods. She is very understanding and makes a genuine effort to help you. She replies to emails right away and genuinely cares for her students. She always tries to build your confidence.

She goes out of her way to explain everything in a concise, easy to understand manner, and her class was a joy to attend. Great professor. Very clear, very helpful, very understanding and patience. She is simply a JOY! I am very thankful to be one of her students. I have always hated Math and done poorly, but her teaching style makes it understandable and even fun! She is a believer in classroom participation, which is great because it keeps everyone INVOLVED.

Professor Fitzsimmons was great! She was always clear on what she expected from her students and when assignments were due. She went above and beyond to keep her students informed of things such as upcoming study workshops and even job fairs. She really cares about the success of her students! I highly recommend taking this with her!

Absolutely loved her class, not great with Math so had to take Developmental Math 1 and 2 in order to get to intermediate. Do the homework and try your best on quizzes. Tests aren't horrible as long as you do homework and understand the work. She goes out of her way to try and help. Didn't use books at all, mainly just online Pearson code.

Awesome teacher, really goes out of her way to make sure work is learned and understood and grades fairly as well. Expects homework to be done but doesn't give an overwhelming amount. Would recommend to anyone especially those who may not be very math friendly. Also took MAT 0018 and passed both with high B's. :)

Math is my worst subject. She changed that for me. Her teaching methods are clear and understandable. She's caring and goes above and beyond.

I remembered most of my basic math I was always dependable of my calculator, but now I can know how to actually work the problem out instead of using the calculator. Also the were some problems that I barely understood, and after she explained it, it a;; seemed very simple and easy to do.

Expect homework and if you decide on completing it each week, you'll start to notice the benefits throughout quizzes and tests. No lie, and don't be afraid to speak up either. I always emailed her if I didn't understand homework, even a mark on a previously graded assignment. She's all ears, and pretty funny sometimes. Would take again forsure !

Pat Fitzsimmons is by far the BEST teacher I have had for any subject! I dislike Math and she has made this class enjoyable for me. Mrs. Fitzsimmons teaches the material in a way that pretty much anyone can understand and she makes sure no one is left behind. Professor Fitzsimmons is what I would model a math teacher to be. She is very helpful, takes time to explain the lesson and answer any questions you have. She takes the time to make sure that students have the knowledge needed to pass the class. However, she makes sure that you show you can do the work. As she says "Math is not a spectator sport"

Whenever I needed help with an assignment I was able to reach her. Even in class we would go over any questions someone had about the test/quiz/homework. If you did not understand something she would go over it. Calculators are not allowed on the first test and final.

I knew going into this class I would be rusty with my math skills, from the first day of class Pat was very helpful and patient with assisting myself and the entire class. Math is a tough subject to stay involved but with Pats teaching I had no problem being engaged with the work. I would recommend to anyone with Math problems to take Pats class!

She is an absolutely fantastic professor and human being, she is beyond understanding that a lot of people dislike math but she made it simpler and even enjoyable. The book is required though only due to the homework being online (that program takes SO LONG compared to pen and paper). Be sure to show up (it does matter in the end). I'll miss her <3

Prof Fitzsimmons is a Math Professor from her soul. She has an exceptionally sound knowledge of the subject and masters the art of imparting the knowledge in more ways than one. This was my first math class returning to school after a 10 year break. She is the greatest, quick detailed responses, partial credit for shown work, and wants to see her students succeed. You learn the material and tests are formulated to help you pass.

This is my first Math class in over ten years,and Professor Pat did a fantastic job.The SOA is detailed and precise. Professor Pat was responsive and responded promptly to every email - even after hours.Grading was flexible, you received marks if your answers were wrong, but your work was understandable. I would recommend anyone to take her class.
