He is a very good teacher. Requires a moderate amount of course work; meaning - if you're an 'A' student, then you'll get a moderately easy 'A' in the class. Not too easy, but worth having as an instructor.

Mr. Ormond was probably the funniest professor I had (and he didn't even try to be funny!) Many complained the assignments were too difficult. They were easy! The difference between me and them? I actually read the assigned course materials and text book! Most guys I knew that complained never read a single page of their text books.

I went into this class with a lot of IT experience, which is why he got the "easy" rating; there isn't much in there that challenges anyone with more than a year of experience with computers. That being said, the course was really disorganized. Shred the syllabus, because he doesn't follow it. GO TO HIS OFFICE ANY TIME YOU FEEL A GRADE IS IN ERROR!

First I would say if you can help it, try to not take this teacher. The book he provided with the class had nothing to do with the assignments/projects he gives. He does not clarify on his assignments and when he does the information is either on or after the assignment is due. He gets defensive when a student challenges him or knows more.

He is a great guy. He is funny and has a very outgoing personality. However, he is a HORRIBLE teacher. When he explains things, he pretty much loses everyone in the class. He does assignments in class, but at 200 mph, so if you miss any of class, you are behind and it is very difficult to catch up.

He is the worst teacher I have ever had, the class was easy because all of his assignments were step by step in class and all of the quizzes and tests (Including the Final) are open book. He also runs the class more like an accounting class than an INFO class. If you actually want to learn DON'T TAKE ANYTHING FROM ORMOND.

This was one of the most pointless classes I have ever taken. If you do not NEED this credit for your major stay away. I thought this would be a good intro to IT, I did not learn a single helpful thing. The main grades in the class come from assignments that the professor hand feeds you steps, so you just mindlessly copy what he does, learn nothing

This professor does not teach this class. It is an accounting class that is supposed to be a computer science class. One of the assignments was to do a cost projection analysis to see how profitable a business was. He also changes assignment requirements on the fly so to get full credit you have to come into class.

Told great stories. Did basically all the assignments in class, so little to no homework. He clearly said if you can still pass, no need to come to class. Very understanding of his students. The class was very easy and I still learned a lot; that's a perfect combination! HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM!!

One of the worst teachers on campus as UVU. Every class he just rambles about nothing for an hour and 15 mins and doesn't teach a single thing. His assignments should be easy, but all he wants you to do is jump through hoops and stay buried in busy work. Don't take any classes from this man.

This teacher teaches nothing. He will do an assignment in class and if you miss a single step good luck. Never miss a class or you will miss the entire start of an assignment.

The class itself and the material available in the textbook are valuable information to obtain. However, the professor does not teach the material. The assignments are rarely related to the chapter content and are usually very hard to follow as he tends to rush instructions. If you are going to take this course, take it from another professor.

I thought Pat was great! Super understanding and the class is really easy. If you understand the material he doesn't care if you show up except for on test days. Does the homework and assessments (different than tests) in class with you, expects you to do the simulation at home (super easy). ASK QUESTIONS! If you don't understand he will help.

THIS GUY DOESNT KNOW ANYTHING. He is a nice enough guy but holy cow is he out of touch with reality. During his classes we had to help him figure out how to do some of the excel steps in our assignments. Do NOT take his class.

He is a great professor. He goes through the course assignments with you in class. If you attend class, you will rarely have assignments to do outside of class. He is understanding and is always willing to help if something doesn't make sense or you are lost.

It's just my opinion but Professor Ormond is horrible. He doesn't teach at all in class and nothing that is talked about in class is ever on the quiz. If you want to make good grades on your quizzes, make sure you read the book. Laziest Professor I've ever seen.

Ormond really cares about his students and you can talk to him about anything. the class i took was info 1120, so an introductory class, but it was really eye opening and insightful on what i want to do in a career. SUPER easy class too. i will admit, a lot of times when hes explaining assignments and things its hard to follow and understand

This professor is the laziest POS ever: - Divides class into ten groups - Each group takes up a whole class teaching out of textbook - Each group then finds IT guest speaker to take up another class - Reveals day before final the quizzes we'd been using to study for the final contained false "right" answers so he could catch quizlet cheaters

The professor produced a syllabus with all assignments due at the end of the section, then would send out reminders that certain assignments are due on a certain date(prior to what was published). The lectures that I attempted to listen to and follow on Teams were absolutely grating to get through, needless to day I listened to only two of them.

Constantly unclear about requirements and expectations for assignments, would change requirements on a whim midway. "Vagued", passive aggressive to students during class. Would grade things by his mood + whim. Would struggle with lessons, unorganized, and students would have to guide /him/ through the steps of Excel, etc. Bad w/emails. Horrible!

His class is a mess. This guy does not want to teach makes students try to find guest speakers for a grade which can be a pain if you don't know anyone in IT who can come out to a classroom at 10:00am on a Tuesday. He is very lazy and doesn't make any effort to actually teach anything.
