Ms. Pinkston is a great teacher. She has been teaching for over 30 years and loves what she does. All of her notes are on Power Point slide shows, so you go to her website and print the notes for class(which you add to in class). No quizes, 4 tests(15 questions), and the final. Overall, I highly reccommend her. Come to class, do the notes, simple A

She's helpful & organized. I took her 6 week course & did better than I did in Inter. Alg. She teaches you how to use your calculator. Homework looks exactly like test. Must work out problems, but gives credit for doing steps right even if answer is wrong & gives extra credit. Plus offers to give you a W if you attend every class but still fail!!

This class was not that hard at all. The teacher does show cool powerpts, and she is willing to explain as long as you ask questions. When I didn't understand something I used mymathlab online which I think is a wonderful addition to any math class. I recommend this teacher. I do strongly advise you do your hw, math is something you hv 2 work at.

Pro. Pat classes are ok, most of her presentations powerpoint base. I love her power point because you can always go back to what was taught in class if you missed that class for what ever reason. I would recommend her if you love maths, she teaches from the stand point that you have completed inter. algebra. Do your homework & you will be ok.

She's great! I took her for a short summer semester. Powerpoints are very clear. Her homework assignments match the exams. Yes there are 10 of them, but she drops the bottom 3. She's sweet, like a church-lady.

I took this class 2 times at different campuses and always end up withdrawing.I check some of the comments on Prof. Pinkston and then decided that maybe a web enhanced class would be best, the best decisions I have made. I drove all the way from Pembroke Pines and it was well worth it, I understood the material, I got a B. Home work a MUST to pass.

Simple, pay attention during lecture, really study the notes, and you'll be fine! 13 people have dropped out of the class and I don't understand why! She gives you work but the quizzes match the homework and she answers all questions. You can't be lazy in her class that's for sure, but this is college, if you want easy then don't sign up! I think Pinkston is a genuine professor. She gives you work, lectures, and is concise with her quizzes/tests. The only con I can say is that she can be a bit snippity with answering questions. Not everytime, but sometimes she'll snap like, "I just explained that, weren't you listening?" That's not cool, but whatever. THE BOOK IS NEEDED!!

A highly organized professor who is dedicated and tolerent Her powerpoint is a plus for students who need extra help like myself, which eliminates the need to go for extra tutoring, yet it's also great for more advanced students. Yea ok she does powerpoints but its the same as doing problems on the board just neater (still step-by-step) DUH!! When I first read all these ratings about how bad of a teacher she was, I considered dropping out. THOSE RATINGS ARE SO WRONG. She is a GREAT teacher, and her class is beyond easy. You don't really need to do the homework, just show up and you'll learn the material. It's an easy A. Take this class!

Professor provides power point presentations, homework assignments, and practice tests to help students achieve. Not to mention, the time she is available before class. So the negative ratings must be from people who weren't willing to apply themselves or work with the information given. So don't blame Professor Pinkston.

I read through these comments before deciding to take her class, really all the negative comments seem to come from people who are not willing to apply themselves. Sure she uses powerpoints, but the real benefit comes from the ability to download and study the notes word for word right from home. She also implements blackboard AT NO EXTRA COST.

I took her class over the summer last year, and she amazed me. I'm a high school senior now, and I've been taking calculus for 3 years. I lacked trig background, and she helped me a great deal. Her class was very tough. We had a test every other day (since it was a summer B class), but I haven't had a better teacher in my life. Awesome professor.

This teacher is one of the better ones that I have had for math so long as you can learn from power point. She is willing to go over whatever people don't understand and is patient about it.

I've always had challenges in math and now Im taking Trig with her and getting As Her tests are quite easy once you practice & I dont even do the homework (I know). She gives you a lot of practice & you dont forget what you studied because she incorporates previous sections in each test She doesnt give too much at once and my class is once a week!

Teaches by powerpoint, but you have the full printout in front of you, so you don't have to write your own notes, tests are easy only about 10-15 questions, If you need help she is very willing to stay after class or before to help. Easy to bring grade up even if you bomb a test. No homework at all. Pinkston was the best! I will take her for trig!

Fairly easy class and she teaches it well. Not the best professor that I've had but not the worst. Doesn't use the textbook, or online class unit. Basically teaches from PPTs and tells you to print her notes before class. Gets annoyed when you ask questions, so caution when asking. Hw is your decision. Quiz every class. Drops lowest 2. I was very strong in math prior to this class, however I felt that Pinkston was a great professor. She was always very helpful, either during lectures doing extra problems or before/after class. Homework is optional. She gave an optional practice test that I found VERY helpful. It was the exact format test questions. I would take her again.

Great teacher! She presents the information by Powerpoint and you don't even need to take to take notes because she makes them for you already! All you have to do is print them before class. Flipping hilarious! ! Only issue you may have is that youre not a fan of dry humor. She uses her own powerpoints along with aleks that seem well put together and really helped. She adds silly sounds to the powerpoints that keep the class a bit lighter than it might oterwise be. Also warning to cheaters- she is super strict on test days:-)

It was a short summer class so there was a lot of class meetings. Prof Pinkston was there 20 minutes before the start of class for anyone who needed the extra help. Math is not an easy subject so if you complete the Aleks assignments that will help you a lot not only with the grade but with the test.

I took this course over short summer term and although the course was very intense, prof. Pinkston was very helpful and understanding. I strongly recommend taking her, especially if math is not your forte!

Although material demands a lot of practice and Aleks can be a nightmare, Professor had a very productive and user-friendly system for class time. This compensated for any weaknesses. She's a meticulous grader and her style of giving things over didn't always sink in, but the PowerPoint's and assigning work groups were extremely helpful.

Prof Pinkston is a great professor to take for math. She will help you succeed in anyway she can! No teacher that I have had has basically bent over backwards for me, wanting me to succeed. You wont regret choosing her.

Professor Pinkston is actually a really good professor she puts everything out there for you to get the A and is always willing to help plus the day before test she takes an extra time after class to go over everything on the test and even if you get the answer wrong she still gives partial credit if you were close over all she's a great professor.

She's Honestly one of the best Math teachers I've had so far. I'm not the best math student but Mrs. Pinkston goes above and beyond to ensure that you understand the material. What I love most about her teaching is her extra help sessions. She'll schedule a date on our time,even as early as 7 in the morning if that works best for you.

Prof Pinkston's is clear on what is expected in the class and gives many credited material to allow you to learn what is necessary and be able to pass the class. She is very timely with all her lectures and uses it to full advantage. She also takes time to explain things on individual base if necessary.

I did Statistics with Prof Pinkston and I heard it was a tough class. I've never done this before (stats) and she got me to understand it in a way that made me happy I took it with her. I passed the class and I could have done better but I was not up to par with my homework. DO YOUR HOMEWORK!!!

Great professor. As long as you are willing to put in the work it shouldnt be hard. Best way to get on her good side is to be to class on time and preppared especially first few classes. She is a reasonable professor and will help you out. She has lecture but then work in groups for classwork, That way you can learn from your peers too.

Professor Pinkston teaches by solving problems using the overhead projector. Then the class solves problems on the board, providing immediate feedback. She is always available to help students. Reviews conducted prior to tests. Tests are closed book no notes. You will be challenged to be your very best. A great learning experience.

Calculus is a very demanding class for those who don't have the basis or have forgotten. Professor Pinkston teaches by solving problems which makes it so much easier to understand. If you have trouble in math take this professor. You will have "pop quizzes" at the start of every class but these count for extra credit/warm-ups. Before taking tests she will put a review on Aleks for you to study from. There's 4 tests & the final along with hw on Aleks & classwork. Class can seem a bit slow from time to time but it's worth it.

Prof Pinkston is a wonderful instructor. She is fun, clear, patient, organized. She is not allergic to algebra, she actually demonstrates things. Her teaching method is multi-faceted. Aside from lectures, there is regular group work, homework, quizzes &test reviews. She often teaches things(even the basics) in a better way than what I learned.
