Amazing prof. You actually learn something you can apply!! Best prof at Ryerson
Not an effective professor. Turned me off MHR courses.
Enthusiastic. Good overall professor.
Too much reading for final exam!! But dynamic and enthusiatic lady!
She is the best prof ever!!!

Excellent Professor! Straight to the point!
She's great!!!
her class is very demanding...
Excellent Professor! Makes class interesting!
Exam was brutal; but this prof is the best!!
She knows her stuff, and she has mad sex appeal.
nice lady
Loves her job, awesome prof.
Sniderman, Sniderman, friendly neighborhood Sniderman! She rocks!
She loves her job & her teaching reflects it. She is extremely nice & helpful.
she rules~!!!
ITM - One of the best profs i've had. Does what is best for students.
Great prof. Love the energy and teaching style
Very helpful and interesting, would love to have as a prof again.
This class is like kindergarten, don't enjoy paying money to put a name tag on my desk.
She is fantastic, and all she's trying to do is have people explore their creativity and socialize thru group/class participation, the truth is we old farts (yes late teens, early 20's)are boring, plain, and social snobs by the time we hit university.
She is THE Best...for sure we do a 'creative' skits and have name tags, but it's all for a purpose. it's an HR class, names are important. anyhow, HIGHLY recommended. very motivating.
oh she is the WORST teacher in the world. She is very nasty, I have a question... if she is suppose to be teaching organization behaviourk, and preaching about how you behave in order to be successful than why is she such a ****!?!
I can't believe it. She is a wonderful professor. She helps you out. And most importantly, she uses different teaching techniques. Discussions, games, Cases, lectures. She is great. Her tests are fair but exams, well, she cant' do anything about that
easy as ABC...and easy A ....excellent professor ...easy tests if you read it once ...make sure you get this professor
She is a very nice lady....sometimes a little scattered and disorganized but very nice all the same. She is willing to help and probably one of like 3 professors who actually knew my name and knew I was in her class...
YOUR FRIENDLY NEIGHBOURHOOD SNIDERMAN.. THE BEST.. LOVED HER CLASS, GETS TO KNOW YOU AS A PERSON, AND TREATS HER STUDENT WITH RESPECT.. MUST HAVE PROF.. ONE OF RYERSON"S "A" LIST PROF
very good prof! The class is boring but tests are easy
GOOD TEACHER!
shes a really good teacher if u go to class and listen you will do well, she is very helpful and gets to know her students
NEED more Prof like her!!! very helpful n easy going. respect the students n the test is easy if u just listen to her in the class.
Awesome Prof! Lectures are full of variety. She gives timely, sufficient and accurate feedback. She has high integrity and empathy. It is visible she enjoys her teaching and it rubs off on students. Take her courses!
Excellent prof. Very helpful and understanding towards her students. Makes the class interesting. Need more professors like her.
very nice..helpful...friendly...nothing bad to say. As mentioned below focus on stuff she talks about on class and you will do fine on the long answer section of the midterm and the exam. Also she is awesome at making topics relevant, fun and interesting.
One may get bored in class but put in the time to speak with her and all will be well. Seriously you can get an A+.
she's a very understanding teacher, very sympathetic to the stresses of 3rd/4th year students. i thought she was great overall, and the class was very worthwhile if you're going into the HR field. i'd look to take more classes with her for sure.
The class was super easy but her lectures get boring at times. Also, she gets quite disorganized.
Lectures are very boring and She is a very hard marker. Think twoice about getting an A. She's so disorganized that she was teaching us the same lecture 2weeks in a row without realizing and never knows we'll be doing the next week.
heh seems like she's been rating herself here. she's an idiot. lololol @ understanding, that's the least she is. don't take her, there are better profs. I got an A, but she still sucks.
Yes, I can read the slides myself too. I don't need her to do it for me. If you have insomnia, take her class, it's the purrfect cure. She's mean, gives people nightmares, and is very anal. Skip her class, and she might throw a fit. I suggest take someone else.
She is a hard marker and very disorganized. I did well in the course but I would not recommend her.

SHES HARDDDDD AND UNORGANIZED FORRRR SURE. I HATED HER CLASS EVEN THOUGH MHR IS MY MAJOR. GOSHHH MAN SHE MAKES ME WONDER HOW SHE BECAME A HUMAN RESOURCE TEACHEr.. emphasis on the word HUMAN.. how could someone so UN-HUMAN like her be. Anyway, get out while u can!!!
Will do everything possible to help you in succeeding in the course (which is a rather...dry subject).
this course is a lot of work. she marks hard & can be disorganized. hard to get an A in this course if she's teaching it.
She's no good. I can read the slides too! Don't need her to do it for me seriously.. the class is boring and she can't teach. DONT SKIP!
She is a great prof. She is fair and understanding and will give extensions on assignments if needed. There is a lot of work in this class, but it's all group work which makes it easier. As long as you do the work in class with your group, you should do fine on the exam. The exam wasn't hard at all
Very hard marker on reports/group projects. Picky on what u write on reports. Must attend all classes or u will lose LOTS of marks. Boring lectures (reads ppt). Hard tests. Very tricky final exam. All this leads to a class avg of C-. Get out of her class while u have a chance! My friend had Prof. Genevieve Farrell & they haD a class avg of B+!!!
She marks extremely hard on reports. She expects you to be in class at all times. You lose marks for attendance. She is very unclear on exams and assignments. Go for Prof. Genevieve instead! Drop Sniderman's class immediately or you'll regret it. Btw, I'm in co-op and her class dropped my gpa drastically.
She bombed us on the final exam. She was very picky on the way u write reports. She deducted marks everywhere. Exam and reports were rough...that's all I have to say. Take another prof.
VERY VERY Disorganzied. Revises the readings after class so dont bother reading before class. Her tests are easy, she marks very very hard
GREAT TEACHER. LECTURES WERE INTERESTING AND FUN AND SHE IS VERY ENERGETIC. TESTS WERE FAIR HOWEVER SHE IS A HARD MARKER. MEMORIZE EVERYTHING AND FIND SOMEONE VERY INTERESTING FOR THE INTERVIEW.
Great prof. Really enthusiastic about the topic. She gave out a very thorough exam review for both midterm and final. She's a fair marker.
GREAT PROF. VERY VERY ENTHUSIASTIC. KEEPS YOU INTERESTED AT ALL TIMES. HAS A "TWO FOOT RULE": LEAVE IF YOU WANT TO LEAVE, GRAB A COFFEE, HAVE A SMOKE, THEN COME BACK. NEVER POINTS LOST. SHE WANTS YOU TO WANT TO BE THERE. IF YOU WANT TO LEAVE, GO, THEN COME BACK. GREAT PROFESSOR, IF NOT THE BEST MHR PROF. TAKE CARE, BUT PAY ATTENTION.
Sniderman is excellent! She allows breaks all the time in class for food. Her own teaching style is not boring whatsoever. She mixes between social interaction and powerpoints. Do take her, as other MHR405 profs are not as good. Her enthusiasm toward the course/HR in general is very good, which makes you want to learn it.
Keeps the lectures quick and fun. She is very passionate about Human Resources. Always ended class early, had breaks and many group activites. Tests and exam are based on powerpoint and textbook you don't even need to go to class, but i does help to go because whatever she focuses on during lecture is what will be on test/exam.
One of the best profs I've ever had. She's passionate about the material and her enthusiasm spreads. Her tests and assignments are fair. You learn a lot because she makes it really interesting. I enjoyed going to class. I wish she taught all of my classes.
very pretty lady mrs. sniderman!!!!
great prof, also helps too that shes the author of the text. Very informal classes with interesting exercises that keep you awake most of time. She has a great sense of humor and brings her passion and caring nature to the class, you'll be happy to have her.
Cutest little thing ever!!!!! Everything was straightforward. I recommend her :)!
She is enthusiastic and passionate in HR. She must be one of the best Pro at Ryerson and always trys to motivate her students to learn. I spent so much time in memorizing the annoying theories in the textbook. Basically I dun like OB, but she is the best and awesome! I strongly recommend her!
those in the first 2 rows may get wet (she spits when she gets talking too fast) otherwise a great prof.
One of the best profs I've had so far at Rye high. She's respectful and considerate towards students. It was nice to have a prof that knew my name and said hi to me around campus. I hated the course overall, but she made it bareable. It is NOT a bird course, tonnes of memmorizing but Pat makes it simple and somewhat interesting.
She was the sweetest teacher i have had at University so far! She was extremely helpful and everytime you made a comment, she always made you feel good when answering! Go to lectures and you will do fantastic in this class!
pat was one of the most amazing profs ive had at ryerson. she is so nice and understanding, gives advice so you do well in her class. she tries to make her lectures interesting with the group work. work hard and you'll do amazing in her class!
She's Great!! it was a pleasure being in her class!
Very nice professor and she knows what she is teaching/talking about. She plays favorites though, and she marks very hard on written components such as the CASA Journal. A lack of feedback on written assignments... very unclear on what she wants from assignments......
Let's say this, it is IMPOSSIBLE to feel tired in her class even when it's at 10am and you don't have any caffiene. Highly energetic and interesting and knows what she's talking about. However, she is a VERY hard marker so make sure you follow her instructions perfectly if you want a good mark.
there is no doubt she's a nice lady...however with that being said...she is the HARDEST marker on earth...she expects you to do way too much work for an HR course...she writes HR textbooks for a living so she takes this HR thing way too seriously...if u want a nice teacher take the class, but expect low grades and a lot of work...
It's her first time teaching OB 2 so it wasn't as hard as I imagined it to be. She was very straight forward with her expectations of assignments but FOLLOW EVERY INSTRUCTION. I lost marks on small things she wanted. Tests weren't that difficult. Sweet lady, will take her again in the fall
Very easy class, but she is a picky/hard marker and has favorites! Just because you don't use terminology doesn't mean you don't know what u are talking about! Very pick with certain things which leads to great loss of marks. Class is boring, too many useless activities.
The class was interesting and the consepts were very east, but she was terrible at teaching them. Lots of wasted class time, pointless assignments, and lame activities. This is the kind of prof that encourages the rest of the business world to laugh at HR
She is very understanding and knows what she's talking about. I don't think she's a hard marker; just follow the instructions she gives on tests & assignments and you'll get a good mark. I love her as a prof. This course requires a lot of time, but it's not a hard course.
The class material is easy, and the assignments arent bad. The group project and presentation is easy marks. Pat is really helpful and she tries to lay out the course easy for you.
Lovely lady. Her lectures are clear, and she has a good sense of knowing if she's engaging you or not and will switch tactics to gain your attention.
Very off topic in her lectures. Didn't provide enough info on her slides and was very boring. Showed lots of info that was not necessary such as videos, songs etc.
She's a really nice prof. Coming to class is not really necessary but it doesn't hurt. The class notes are more of a guideline to what you should study from the textbook. Assignments are pretty easy. Her exams, I know for a fact, are easier than most other profs in the department.
Make notes from the textbook and study all key concepts from her powerpoint slides. Ensure that you study the concepts in detail. (Note: there's alot of content in the textbook so she obviously can't go over all of it in lecture.) you must be self-reliant. organization and detail is key for the assignments. study hard & you will get an A :)
Shes a hard marker.
She is amazing, that is teh best way to put it. She clearly cares about her students and truly wants everyone to succeed. One thing I really liked was the level of interest she put in every student to ensure that they understand everything. I would recommend her to any student taking any HR Course. Easily the best prof I have had at Ryerson.
She's a nice lady but a hard marker. The midterm and final exam were pretty easy but the group assignment was brutal. Everyone in the class did badly on that.
She is the best prof i had. she is not too hard marker. If you study well, and do all the assignments, you should be fine. She makes everything easy so that u understand. And she helps students when they needed. She is also a funny prof. She tries to engage student to participate in lecture. And she is a really kind prof. Take her if you can.
The sweetest lady and a great lecturer. Review her slides along with the textbook and you should do fine. Recommended.
Very helpful and responds to emails quickly and interesting lectures. She is so cute and funny. One of the better profs I've had. I dont like how the class is bug but she does try to get to know you if you put your hand up to answer a question. DONT BE SHY.
I miss taking her class!! Now when i look back, it was a great learning experience. The seminars were fun as well. She's the main reason why i gained more interest in HR. You can really tell she's in HR because she made us do a survey about how the mid-term was and made adjustments to improve the exam. Thank you Pat! :)
I really didn't care for this course when the semester started, but it ended up being the one I attained the most knowledge from and attended the most. She is very thorough with the material and makes sure you fully grasp the concepts. The book is only useful for assignments as she says you'll only be tested on the points from the lecture slides.
BEST mhr prof. class content was boring but if you're looking to do well in this course- TAKE HER. she practically gives u all the questions that are going to be on the midterm and final! had class average on midterm of almost 70 while other classes failed. overall amazing. recommended 100%
Awesome prof. Really enjoyed her lectures... skipped every lecture before the midterm and got a C then went to every lecture and got an A on the exam. She made me want to take more HR courses. Recommended.
She's a really sweet lady, who has a lot of real world experience. She's really knowledgeable in HR. She is extremely helpful, and will try her best to make sure you understand everything. The exams are a bit tough, and the material isn't the most interesting. Her lectures were short. Textbook is a must.
Pat is such a nice prof and person. She has a genuine interest in her field and it is evident throughout the lectures. The course itself in my opinion was a rather boring one but she tried her best to keep the class entertained. The midtermfinal were based on her lectures, slides and textbook and were fair. Overall very good prof.
Very hard marker. She doesn't really explain what your mistakes were when you ask her. Her lectures are so long and not very engaging.
She's a nice prof and tries to encourage students to participate. She reviews the previous lecture by asking potential midtermexam questions. This helps to make you see if you really know your stuff. Her lecture slidesfiles are not organized with many slides from last week's lecture to current. She often has trouble controlling her class.
Overall I would say Pat Sniderman is a good professor who cares about her students. However she can be a tough grader. Definitely do not memorize the concept, but understand it.
She's a kind and wonderful professor, but she is a tough grader. Make sure you really understand the concepts so that you ace the assignment criteria. Participation matters and she takes note who participates. She also has quizzes at the beginning of her powerpoints (no marks, thankfully) but they are helpful for reviewing last week's materials.
I like our class discussions - participation is key. She makes it very engaging. However, she is a tough marker. Group project was very stressful and we tend to get a mark ranging from 50-60. Study hard for the final as it will boost up your mark. Got a B best that I can do since group project was very low. Attendance is also mandatory.
Pat is head of the HR department and does the recruitment for all the HR stuff at rye. That being said, her class was the hardest HR class for first year compared to other profs. She's cute and sweet, kinda corky, but she takes things seriously. Go to the lectures, follow along on powerpoints as the info comes up on the exams. READ THE TEXTBOOK TOO
Pat is very sweet and dedicated to her job. She loves teaching and she takes it very seriously, it's only difficult when the students get talkative and she's so kind it makes it hard for her to get a hold on the class. Her grading is pretty tough, a bit unfair really when you see the criteria on the rubric. Assignments are easy when not in groups.
Sweetest prof you will ever meet, asked our class how she could improve the exam so its easier for the class. Made a lot of people go into human resource since she makes it so interesting. Gives non graded quizzes every week to review what we did last week and it helps a lot. Go to class and take a lot of notes you will be good.
Professor Sniderman is by far the hardest professor for MHR523, her marking is very harsh, even remarking the work marked by the seminar leaders because "they are too lenient". Her exams are far longer and harder than the other classes (ex. 17 hard long answer questions for the midterm, whereas other classes all had 11-12 easy questions). Stay away
she's alright
This course seriously takes a lot of work. You will be put in a random group that you would have to work with for the whole semester (so many group assignments and big projects). It's a hit or a miss. However, she is a really kind and approachable professor. She makes every class engaging. The exam required so much writing but was easy.
This teacher was the hardest grader I've had at Ryerson yet. This was supposed to be an easy class but ended up being the hardest class I took this semester. She graded both my assignments that I worked hard on very low and when I asked for a remark she graded them even lower! Would never recommend.
Really good prof and the midterm was relatively easy but the final was impossible too much information and no clear idea what to actually study.
741 is a useless course, don't know why its mandatory for HR students. We had to pay $90 for homework. Pat however, is very nice and approachable. The course is all group work so hope you get paired with a good group. She marks a bit tough so pro tip: relate everything to the textbook concepts/theories. No midterm, and final is a lot of writing.
Pat is an overall good prof. The course 741 however is an absolute joke with heavy assignments and mandatory group meetings. If you have the choice between pat and genevieve make sure you choose pat! She gives good feedback if you have questions about assignments but certain things aren't given very clear guidelines
Pat is nice but the way she marks is way too strict. She wants details but sets unreasonable page limits on assignments and then cuts marks for going over. So many team assignments worth 30% of the final grade. The slides aren't very clear and the textbook costs 90 bucks because the quizzes are mandatory. Overall would not take her again.
This is a required course for HR students. Pat is a good professor but lectures can go a bit long. She is sometimes engaging but this course is a bit pointless. You are put into groups and have to sit with them the entire semester. She is a bit of a hard marker so make sure you understand her expectations and refer to the textbook.
Pat is a really nice prof but the course is useless. Assignments were done in groups and they were pretty easy. The only bad thing is that she sets unrealistic page limits and you probably won't be able to fit everything shes looking for. Grading is fair though
I took her for MHR 741, she was more organized. Participation was messed up in MHR 841, even if you participate, you will not get 100. The course wasn't as organized and the marking for the group project was so much tougher. In lectures she is more open to ideas, papers are not marked as easily. Page limits are unrealistic. Nice prof, hard marker.
Pat is a very kind prof and tries her best to make the class engaging. Useful learnings from this class. However, the group component really sucks if you have a bad group since u have to spend the entire semester with them doing assignments almost every class.. She gives good feedback and is an easy marker. Easy to do well in this class.
