Really nice professor. If you go to class you'll do great. The notes she gives during her lectures are veryyy helpful. She does take attendance. I didn't use the book; there's only one assignment where you'll "need" it but if you don't go to class you might need it. The class is interesting and it's really pretty easy.

She gives many small assignments and her test are somewhat hard. You need to read the book and do the chapterguides in order to do well on the exams. Make sure you take notes down too. She also curves at the end of the semester. Sometimes she can be boring but the material toward the end of the semester is interesting.

She is very nice usually, but watch out when she's angry! Class is NOT easy. Mostly because questions are worded badly and are not clear. (Situations where there could honestly be more then one answer - things like that.) And she really likes to take off points on HW! You must go to class even though it is "not" mandatory. Would not take her again.

Avoid Professor at all cost. She grades all in class assignments. You can receive a zero on the assignment even if you showed up to class and attempted the work. Her test are heavy on book material. She does not give any study guides except printed handouts. She has no reviews. She speaks way to fast when lecturing. She's boring and not personal.

I have not had this much of a problem in a psychology course every in my life. I never understood what she was trying to go on about, she threw so much material at you all at once. The class average failed every exam. Would tell you to feel free to ask any questions, but when you do, you would receive a response that would make you feel dumb.

She is an expert on developmental Psychology but a horrible educator. She is not very approachable & lacks emotional regulation skills. Her behavior is unprofessional towards students & her grading is emotionally influenced rather than merit-based. These behaviors make her incompatible as an educator with many students & their learning needs.

Dr. Hartnett isn't that bad. She tries to scare you in the beginning by saying her class is hard to pass , but she's actually a really intelligent and kind person. The way her class is structured really motivates you to put the effort in and work for it. Just make sure you read the textbook for her tests DONT JUST rely on info from the lectures.

Patrice Hartnett is the WORST educator I have ever taken during my academic experience. Not helpful at all. Very irksome. She called me out for switching my camera off just to go to the bathroom. When I have asked for help, her reaction is very condescending. She expects you to just promise information easily when everyone learns differently

She really doesnt care. I really dont understand people who become professors if they do not care about the success of the student. If I could give her a -0 I would Ive gone to this ladies office hours stayed late studying and still some how failed as most of the class did. She is very clear about expectations, and she really tries to help people. She gives outlines for each chapter so you only need to know info she asks about on the chapter guides, which is more effort on her and easier on us. Tests are easy as long as you study, and guides dont even take that long to complete. Very nice and friendly.

Tests are based on the very long chapter guides she gives you. So if you dont do those, youre not passing the tests. Get the book for the guides. Study very ahead for tests.

So much extra credit you can do. She does do class activities that you can't make up but they're worth 3 points. There's also a quiz at the start and end of the semester.
