Pretty easy class. Tests are directly from study guide. Easy to learn from.

Not an easy class and not an easy professor. But she is clear and makes herself available to the students. Lots of reading and work. She offers extra credit. Recommended.

I think this class is very interesting and she explains the concept clear, however is up to the student to study at home and do the study guide, the test are hard, the book has a lot of information for an entry level of Psychology.

The subject matter is hard at first but gets better. She is a VERY FAIR GRADER! Her tests are a reflection of the study guides. Her lectures bounce around but it’s interesting if you participate. You will learn the stuff if you listen and go to class.P.S she only answers the phone if her kids call not a biggie. She's cool about helping you learn it

Very knowledgable. The information is very intense and there is not much that can be done to make it easier.She is an extremely lenient grader. Test questions are taken from the practice quizzes from the textbook CD. With that said we watch alot of pointless videos, and it is mandatory that you attend class.

I'm an older student, returning to college. I think Dr. Bellas is an excellent teacher. She knows the stuff well, but doesn't talk down to the students. She made me excited about the field. Her tests are difficult, but it's a tough topic. She is a fair grader. I know that lots of students take several of her classes because they like her.

I'm in Dr. Bellas class now. I love the class. Bellas is good with examples and the whole class tells interesting stories and she never makes the students feel stupid. Tests are okay but I don't like doing the homework. I like the teacher alot.

i'm taking this now and the professor really helped me out with my personal situation which was really nice, and the lectures are fun but the textbook is hard.

She's a bit disorganized like people say, but I really liked her. She's really nice, and cares. Her projects and papers are really easy, but tests are WAY HARD. Luckily she curves them, but a lot. a 50% is a C on almost every test, so between As on papers and Cs on tests, a B is really easy. (An A is possible, you just have to study the book!)

I don't think she is disorganized at all. In fact i think she is really organized, but sometimes is can seem like she is changing subjects because she gets excited about brain stuff. i really liked her. she loves the stuff she teaches.

hi everyone out there.... okay i think i want to tell you about this teacher. i liked her alot because she doesn't use power point or something like that and she doesnt' just read stuff from power point or the text book. she writes stuff on the board and just talks so if you like that style you will really like her. its not boring like other classe

Bellas is very kind and helpful. There is no hw, just 2 analysis assignemts for the whole semester. 2 exams 1 final, none are cumulative. Class period is all lecture, you can ask endless questions. However exams are difficult because they are hypothetical, not fact. She gives study guides for every exam you only have to study whats on it.

Nice teacher, very helpful, grades easy, but the textbook and material are honestly, very incomprehensible and repetitive. First 2/3's, (3 tests a semester), are somewhat easy and will only take you an hour of studying honestly. Last 1/3 was very difficult and uninteresting.

Prof. Bellas is a well-organized, interesting, and very helpful teacher! I didn't have much interest in the subject before the class, but she made the subject matter very interesting to me. I highly recommend Prof. Bellas for any psychology class at IVC. I can't believe that no one before me mentioned that she is HOT! Muy caliente!

I had Bellas for online. She was really nice and helpful but it was online so no lecture. My friend said she was really good with that.

Bellas is really good and probably one of my favorite teachers at IVC. Class is not too hard if you study what she tells you to. People like to talk in class which can be annoying sometimes but is also interesting.

She is really nice, and I think that if you get a chance you should take her. Sometimes her jokes are a bit cheesy, but her lectures are always very interesting, and she always made sure we got out a bit early. Also, there is a good amount of extra credit (it brought my grade from an 89 to a 92, and i didn't even do it all).

Took Dr. Bellas for summer psyc 3. it's hard but a good class bc she told us what was important and i really like her style. she knew the stuff well and took an interest in the student's comments.

Had her for summer. I would suggest printing out the powerpoints. And use the book!! I barely got by with an A without the book, but it'll help with studying the material for tests and also the quizzes which are online. You can earn 2 points extra credit which helped cushion my grade. I wouldn't say she's good at teaching, but she knows her stuff.

I had Professor Bellas last summer for Psych 3. I really liked her teaching style. The class was one of the harder ones Ive had but I did ok. Shes a good teacher but the class is a little hard.

I gotta say dr bellas is a really interesting lecturer if you are interested in the subject. SHe relates the material to things you identify with and welcomes questions. tests are moderately difficult but not if you study. quizzes help you with midterm and final.

i have mrs./dr. bellas now and i really like her style. she tries to make the clas un and talks about a lot of things i can relate to. the tests are not too bad and she gives you study guide, so use it!

I didn't think I would be very interested in this class by Dr. Bellas is a really good teacher and she made it interesteing and I liked the class. The tests were ok and she tells you what to study. i didnt like all the quizzes but it did help for the midterm and final.

She is a very helpful teacher! I took online psych 3 (which is a difficult course) and every time I had a question, she e-mailed me back that same day or within 24hrs. I recommend taking the lecture course so it helps you study because studying on your own makes the class more difficult. Overall a great experience! Offers a lot of etra credit too

Her class was very easy, she was very clear in her lectures and told you everything you needed to know. Her tests were a little difficult, but if you looked at the online quizzes and studied them you wouldn't have a hard time because some of the questions were from there. She gives a lot of extra credit. Very nice teacher.

The class consists merely of lecture off of the powerpoints associated with the textbook, one that has many inaccuracies that she does her best to correct. She posts all of her powerpoints on blackboard so it's really not that big of a deal if you miss class- that is, if you can understand things without them being talked through to you.

You will get an A in this class if you read all the powerpoints and study, and do the application paper and the extra credit. She does take attendance in class. You don't really have to take notes during class because the powerpoints are online. Tests are multiple choice, if you studied, you will definitely get an A. Book is not required.

I took PSYC 10, which is a math class with her. She doesnt really understand math herself, but as a teacher she makes the class a lot easier. She gives extra credit on the tests and gives a big curve. The book is needed for HW assignments. She is a chill teacher, the A is not so easy though.

This is a math stat class. Prof Bellas is really good because she understands the material really well and trys to get us to understand it. She teaches the concepts and forgives you if you make small math errors but she understands math and statistics really well. good class.

This class is very easy. However, she is extremely boring. She repeats everything in a lecture 4-5 times. So boring, I had a hard time making myself go to class. She is very nice and responds in a timely manner to emails. She doesn't grade too hard. Be prepared to bang your head on the desk though.

i took this class in the fall and she is a good teach - its all about kids so dont take it unless you like kids - you wont like it if you dont want to hear about kids. sometimes people asked too many questions over and over and they made it hard but at least she wasnt rude like some teachers at ivc

Very clear and organized. Weekly PsychLab videos, chapter readings and quizzes. No discussion board. In-person, 80 question m/c midterm and final that required significant studying. 4-6 possible extra credit points to either your final grade or an exam. Challenging material for an online class, but Dr. Bellas is as helpful as you could hope for.

She's such a lovely lady! She's completly willing to help you out and her power points are basically the entire class (which isnt somehting to criticize because she teaches them well!) to ace the class just do the concept reviews and memorize it. Tests are pretty straightforward and doing the easy extra credit won't hurt ;p

Overall, she is so excellent that she always answers your questions patiently. Her class is well organized. Study for the test, and it will be easy for you to receive an A grade.

This class is so boring. Prof. Bellas is very nice and helpful but the information discussed is very conservative and IMO outdated. I don't agree with a lot of the theories that Erikson and Freud have on children and this class is pretty much based on their ideas. 3 hours of Bella's reading directly off the PowerPoint that I have access to online.

This is my favorite IVC class and my favorite teacher. Really interesting lectures on kids and very helpful. Organized with power points so you know exactly what is on tests.

There are online quizzes and it's open book, open notes so that's pretty easy! The quiz questions do appear on exams. If you study the power points, do the concept reviews, and ask plenty of questions you should do just fine. She is very friendly and is willing to help you if needed.

Bellas, is a really helpful professor. There's only 3 tests which are fairly easy if you follow the study guide. The project is also very straightforward, but make sure you attend class. She's tremendously helpful and also very sweet.

When I finally met her for the midterm, I noticed how nice she is. She grades on a curve and doesn't even pick the highest grade. She goes with the second or third highest grade and then bases the rest off of that. There are a lot of mini online quizzes but they aren't too hard. The practice questions are on the midterm and final so do them!

This class was very relaxed. I felt it was more of sex education at times when we went over some chapters. I have learned a lot from this class. There are 3 group debates(super easy the arguments are already made in the book), 3 exams all multiple choice, and EC for each chapter (quizzes online). The class is easy as long as you put in some effort

Her lectures are thought provoking and delivered in a very conversational manner. Students feel comfortable participating because she gives thoughtful answers. She helps create Psych textbooks for a living, so she knows her material and how to teach it. Lots of videos. Long study guides. Hard tests. Book is quite helpful for studying. Fun class.

One of the kindest teachers at IVC, in my opinion. Replies to emails like no other teacher I've ever had. Mid-Term and Final Exam is easy, IF you study. No quizzes. Tons of extra credit. Very approachable in regards to your questions and opinions. Enjoyable class.

Took psych 1 this fall and I loved the class. Professor Bellas was kind and was always willing to answer questions whether it be after class/ email. The midterm and final were really easy and there was an abundance of extra credit. I plan on taking her psych 2 class and highly recommend her class. Attendance not mandatory but go anyway

Human sexuality was such an easy and enjoyable class. Bellas is an awesome professor who loves her job, and it shows. The debates and tests are easy to ace, and there isn't very much homework assigned. She is really adorable too, makes some funny comments during lectures. Really comfortable learning environment, would recommend.

Pros: Extra credit; responsive to emails; precise study guides for tests; straightforward grading of assignments; relaxed interpretation of APA formatting. Cons: Group learning. Instruction for the SPSS program is channeled to you via your group, and it is counterproductive to learning. A gem of an instructor less that one caveat. Recommended.

Professor Bellas is the sweetest professor I've had at IVC! The class is very straightforward and not too difficult at all. Textbook could probably be helpful for extra studying but everything was on her powerpoints (which she posted online). Lectures were engaging and the 3 hours weren't bad. I enjoyed taking professor Bellas class, it flew by fast! You are assigned to a group and throughout the semester you will work on a research project. All exams are the same as the study guide (you really have to understand everything on the study guide though). Extra Credit! She is really funny without trying to be, and is very sweet! Easy A or B

A really caring professor. She's very willing to talk to you about the class and answers whatever question you have. The group assignment thing that lasts for the whole semester gets kind of tiring and annoying, but that's none of the professor's fault. You need to find good people around you who are willing to put effort.

Prof Bellas class was very relaxed and honestly the way she taught the class could have been as an online class. You don't have to go to class if you don't want to because she posts the lectures on Blackboard, you should go because there is in-class extra credit. Study the lectures and you will do good on the exams.

Extremely fun and easy class. Lectures kind of drag on sometimes but there are lots of interesting brain games and fun activities to make up for it. Your grade is comprised of 3 exams and 2 assignment packets. All lecture power points are available online and tests are straight from information on them. Everything is done in small groups.

Good professor with clear grading expectations. There are graded activities in class that are worth 10 percent of your grade, so actually go to class. The study guides are very useful. They REALLY help with studying and reading the book efficiently. If you know the concepts listed, especially the why behind them, you should be good for tests.

Easiest class of my semester. You just have to show up to class because she gives out random participation papers that you do in class. She provides study guides for each exam and they're very specific. No homework, just the exams and the participation. Great professor.

You work with a group throughout the semester so make sure you pick the right people in the beginning. If you are taking her class you will enjoy it! Wish I could take her again :)

has easy exams- study terms on concept review and if you can think of an example/explanation on your own you will do fine. TIP: MAKE FLASHCARDS DURING LECTURE BASED ON CONCEPT REVIEW. this way, once the exam is closer, you already made the flashcards during class and don't need to worry about making 100+ flashcards. final is a piece of cake.

prof Bellas is a real gem. I'm currently inter class and I enjoying it. Her class is based on her powerpoint, her exam are open note, and she give you a good study guide which is 100% same as her exam. Take her class, study 1 week before test and you get an A.

Professor Bellas was my first professor ever. I received over 100% in her class and she gave us all the tools necessary to exceed 100%! Theres really not much homework and as long as you study the concept reviews you will do well on her tests! If you show up, complete the work and study for the tests, then you will receive a good grade!

Show up to class to get your curious George points. Study for this class. She has helpful study guides that are used on the test. Read the textbook if you are having trouble with a "term" because it helps. Do any extra credit she offers you and overall she is a nice/kind prof. If I had the chance I would take her again.

If you show up and participate you will do great in this class. A large amount of points are given for completing the in-class and group activities and they cannot be made up if you miss class. The midterm/final are worth a lot so DO THE STUDY GUIDE because it is extremely helpful. Overall it is a great class!

I'm horrible at math but somehow passed her statistics class with an A. There's quite a lot of homework but it's due in bulk and she tells you all the dates of the assignments/exams as well as gives you study guides and help. Do the study guides and you will pass! Some computational questions on the exam are from them. Great and caring professor.

I wish I know her earlier, I enjoyed learning from her since she is a professor that allows her students to participate and help her when she don't understand something. Personally, I don't know her well, but I can see that she have the passion to teach her students. She is also really supportive so if you have any question, just ask her!! :)

Great prof I've taken 4 of her classes and always do well. Her format sets you up for success, never a heavy workload. She gives plenty of time to work on the group project in class and gives lots of input along the way. Only 3 exams and some SPSS assignments in groups as well as the project. One of the best professors I've had at IVC.

Professor Bellas is a professor I highly recommend. Her study guides are very helpful for the exams. As long as you read the directions/guidelines for the discussions posts and assignments you will receive a high grade.

Professor Bellas is super helpful and gives so much feedback to each group. The instructions are very straightforward and the assignments are easy to follow. Exams are not difficult if you review the recorded lectures and the final paper is not as intimidating as it seems because bits are completed as assignments throughout the course

Professor Bellas teaches hard statistical content in a very easy to understand way. She is incredibly intelligent and equally as caring. Bellas is very fair and willing to understand your thought process and takes effort into account. She is always willing to spend extra time explaining anything you don't understand and helps with homework also.

Professor Bellas is a wonderful professor who is dedicated to the success of her students. You won't regret taking her! She is not an easy A, but her course load is very reasonable and fair. She also does an excellent job of responding to emails in a very timely manner. The tests are not meant to trick students and those who study are rewarded.

I loved Professor Bellas shes probably the nicest most genuine Professor Ive ever had! She does her best to make sure you understand everything however the class is hard I would take it only if you absolutely need to take stats. If you have to take stats shes the one to go to! The homework load is also relatively low but still very helpful.

The class is pretty much an easy A. I would have gotten an A but I was overload with my personal life but she is so sweet and an easy grader. Although the test, you cannot go back, the tests are very reasonable and easy answers.

Professor Bellas is an amazing professor at IVC. She responds to your emails quick and will make time for you if you dont understand a concept or have questions. I have taken 3 classes with her and she enhanced my educational experience through a virtual setting. As long as you do the work, and ask questions this class will be easy and educational

She is very organized, based on a group project with 3 exams and 1 final paper. Group meetings via zoom once a week but not every week. Read all of her instructions, and watch her videos on how to do things. You do have to know the basics of statistics to do this class since it's all about collecting survey data and writing a final report.

Professor Bellas is such a sweet woman, she is super understanding of late work. Unfortunately she does not do any sort of teaching, an honors class is purely through an online textbook/class with some discussion posts, but its all run through an online class through the textbook. Finals are easy and on Quizlet. Highly recommend this professor.

I was intimidated in the beginning because of the final research paper you have to turn in at the end of the semester, but do not stress, she will help you every step of the way. Professor Bellas was amazing and her class is not hard at all. Just follow the steps in canvas and do the study guide for the exams. You will not struggle in this class.

Professor Bellas' PSYC1H class was excellent. She was very responsive to E-mails for when stuff went wrong in the LMS, and her lecture videos were really good. Her tests were all multiple choice and very straightforward- study and you'll do well. Her class isn't very exam heavy- homework and worksheet-type assignments make up a significant %.

Overall very clear professor and the whole class is very straight forward in what to do. You're not expected to have any prior knowledge and the workload is very reasonable for each week.

Great class. 3 easy tests. Homework is a bit much when it comes to reading and watching videos. If you have previous knowledge on psych from other classes you're pretty much set and it's easy. A few discussion boards worth 75 points but as long as you follow instructions you can get an A. The final is one 10 question super easy quiz on Canvas.

Very easy class if you take the time and study. A lot of the material builds on the previous chapter. 3 very easy tests (if you study!), and a few discussion posts + homework is what you're graded on. There is extra credit on every test, which provides leeway if you miss the harder questions. Overall easy class, and great comms from the professor.

Professor Bellas is a great teacher. The class is straightforward, with a reasonable workload. Attendance is not mandatory, but I'd recommend going to class. Unstuck ai was super helpful for preparing for this course.

Took Psych 10 and Psych 2 with Bellas online this semester. Both classes are super easy and the instructions are clear/thorough. The practice problems on the study guides for Psych 10 are literally the exact kind of questions on the exams. Same thing for Psych 2, the practice problems in the textbook are literally word for word on exams.

Very easy, straightforward class. 3 exams (50 q's 40 min) and 1 final paper. Homework mostly based around your group's study (making a questionnaire, stat analysis). Gives very clear directions so shouldn't miss points if you follow them. Only downside is the class isn't very interesting, but if you need this course take her for sure.

I love this professor, she was very kind, provided plenty of resources such as study guides, office hours, recorded lectures, etc to be successful in an online class. Tests are long but very reasonable, half free response, half mc and include extra credit. She doesn't accept late work but if something happens email her!! Would def take again

Super nice professor! The class consisted of weekly textbook assignments, two article summaries, four discussion boards, and three exams. The exams are all mcq based (not proctored) but use your time wisely as she gives 35 minutes for 50 questions. She grades really fast and provides solid feedback. It felt chill for an honors course!

The exams are not proctored and are all multiple choice. However, she gives you 35 minutes for 50 questions so be cautious. There's also 1 quiz but it's basically a freebie. GOAT.
