Easiest mid-terms you can find. But final are totally diff. Very easy-going, helpful, knowledgeable, somewhat pretty for woman of her age. REcommended for further classes

She's a good teacher, but her tests are quite hard (ask very specific questions from text). So read EVERYTHING from textbook...I took the online class, so only 1 class per week! Sweet!

SHe is the best teacher...by far my favorite. Her assignments are fun, and interesting. Her class lectures are very hands-on, and great for people who are visual learners. I loved this class too, but probably because she was teaching it.

Lots of little assignments, cases, presentations and quizzes. A lot of the stuff was common sense. Overall it was a fun class.

She is one of the best and the most helpful teachers! Her classes are very interesting and she always has something to do in class. Her experiance is amazing. Go to her classes, sometimes she takes attendance.

Very helpful and nice, always there for you. Teaches with good examples and tries to make her classes easy and interesting. She is a hard marker, but you'll know what she's looking for in the paper.

Pat is a very nice and helpful prof, and the class is generally very easy to do well in if you follow her directions. Honestly cannot say that I learned anything new as a result of the course though.

She is a nice teacher. Materials are very easy! Only the M/c quizes are hard, need to read the whole textbook, but overall is OK. Pat is an easy markers, esp for the written parts!! I got 86% on the mid-term !! easy course and good prof!

Good teacher, but don't take it partially online if you learn from lectures...and the weekly assignments were somewhat boring. She took forever to reply to emails...call or drop by the office instead

She is a very friendly professor and a fair marker. She really cares about her students, and she can even remember all students' name within first 2-3 weeks. What you study is what you get! Although there are a lot of assignments in her class, she gives easy mark to her students. Highly recommend!!!

I kicked ass in this course.. big time.. I knew everything.. Pat was right there to basically say, you know this is really cool stuff.. and it is.. marketing/branding is really interesting.. the people who do well are the ones who can see the creativity and fun in this class.. good stuff pat!

overall, she is not bad. I just didn't like that marketing project where we the students had to sell donations to local businesses and that accounted for %50 of the class marks!!! Though that was more Kwantlen's fault than hers. We're not beggars. We should sell products and not beg for donations.

Great professor! Makes an effort to learn everyone's name and include everyone in class discussions. I laughed every day in this class. Great lectures and discussion topics, has great stories to share about her work exp. Study hard and have something to say in class to get full participation marks.

I had 1199, 2321 and 2333 with her and she is one of the best MRKT teachers in this school

Great teacher! I wish I had more classes with her! She's funny, enthusiastic, helpful and nice! Marketing alone is great subject... however with an instructor like her... even better! The projects are simple... the mid-terms are simple (if you study) and the final as well! I would highly recommend taking her!

Great teacher! She was incredibly enthusiastic, nice and funny! She has so much experience in marketing, which really made the class interesting, hearing all her real-life stories! Her exams are easy if you study... as well as her projects. Marketing is a great subject alone, and with a great instructor its even better!

She's a great teacher, I like to attend her class. But sometimes her assign projects are way too difficult to handle. I do recommend this teacher to other, because she's funny and helpful.

Very nice teacher, and classroom activities are interesting. She is very helpful. Her quizzes have somewhat trivial answers, and she wouldn't mark one of my short answer questions on my midterm. I clearly had headers for each of the short answer questions that I chose to write on, but she instead marked my random notes (with no header). Recommend.

Pat is awesome. Learn how to do break-even, and do her practice activities and you'll ace the quizzes and go to her for help on the case studies and final project and you'll do fine. She is awesome!

Really enthusiastic teacher, she shares a lot of her marketing stories with the class and has an obvious passion for her job. Classes are always interesting but not mandatory. Her tests are straight from the text but she marks fairly hard. Overall Recommend!

Pat is a great profoessor, and always makes classes interesting with lots of class discussion. Do not take this as a GPA booster though. Her quizzes have a lot of tricky questions, so be prepared to memorize every single detail in the text book. She's also not exactly the easiest marker.

Pat is a great teacher. Her projects, midterm and final were quite easy but she makes up for that with difficult quizzes. Allows cheatsheets so it isn't too bad. Rambles off in class though.

I would take her again, interesting stories, very animated w/ lectures. 10 percent on participation, involves class in lecture and activities. Tests, lets you choose your own questions for written which makes them very easy to do well on. Only complaint: Quizzes lower your mark,very specific out of text book, not really relevant however worth 20%

Fantastic! I had to retake this class (for free) because another prof screwed up my grade and she made me glad I did! Quizzes are hard, but tests are easy if you know what your doing (midterm + final I avged 95%). Made it interesting, and well worth the course!

One of the best marketing profs at Kwantlen hands down. I've taken other marketing classes with other profs but they don't measure up to Pat, she's a great teacher and is able to connect course material to her job experiences.

take the online course with her, exam was all focus on applying theory, you need to do a lot of reading from the book, and exam was between fair to hard.

Quizzes and exams were extremely tricky. Even cheat sheet couldnt help.

Took the class online and it was pretty good. You have to do weekly reflections which took up a great deal of time. Lots of interesting topics for assignments. Final project was a lot of work but learned lots. Overall I would take a class with her again.

Good instructor, helpful. Course grades are pulled mostly from the last half of the course and if you don't keep up you will fall behind. Exam questions were practical applications of the text and practice tests did not help much with these - despite that study hard and you will do well. Do the math questions.

Very kind, and her class is interesting and engaging as well. Its never just notes, there are a couple of "fun" activities she creates for us every class. One of my favorite classes and teacher so far.

She's a really nice teacher and very enthusiastic. Also has very good real life examples and has lots of experience in mrkting field. She has quizes after 4 chapters which are really hard and detailed. Her notes don't really help, so you have to rely on the textbook. Multiple choice on midterm are hard as well.

Pat is an excellent teacher, who loves Marketing and the class is a lot of fun. However, be prepared to do a lot of work. She breaks the semester down so that each class you are either handing in a Group project (which take tons of time!) or there is a quiz. She is also a very hard marker - first group project the highest mark was 76%.

Awsome prof. Took marketing 1199 online. SUPER EASY. take my word for it. one small assignment due each week which is always a no brainer. 2 tests.for this however, there is no guide or anything at all. its literally like "test on chapter 1,2,3,4." period. so go and read the 30+ page chapters lol. difficult for tests. easy otherwise.

if you follow the instruction, you can get at least 9/10 marks of each assignment. and two test only. she will reply the email within 48hrs. Really recommend this course!

awesome professor . as in online class have to learn on our own. so if u follow her course module site regularly and do your assignment on time u gonna get an easy A . projects and assignments are to be done in groups so in that its depend upon your group. easy marker . must take her.

The multiple choice quiz is not hard if you spent time to read the textbook. Midterm and final are easy. Project is interesting and easy. Enjoy the class time.

The course itself is based on building a communications plan as a group for a company in two phases which requires time outside of class. Individual portions include 2 assignments, midterm and a final; nothing out of the ordinary. Make sure you fully understand APA formatting as Pat can be picky with marking there.

Pat was a great teacher, shes a ball of a sunshine. The course I took was partially online, meaning we only had to present in class every other week. She has a very bright personality and one of my favourite profs at KPU. Shes a very fair market and allows you to have a cheat sheet for the midterm and final. Read the textbook and youll be fine!

She's a BOMB in MRKT. She's helpful to answer question during office hour. She allows cheat sheet. But, u need to read chaps to catch up. She's nice and caring prof if you are struggling at some points in mrkt class. In short, no doubt to take her. On the other hand, she may be disorganized, confused, and overwhelming to you. But, still good prof:)

It's very easy to do very well in the class if you make sure to do all of the work. She makes the class interesting, too. Also, make sure to hand the assignments in APA format with proper size margins, a title page, page numbers, etc.

Pat's class consists mostly of weekly textbook chapter readings w/ lesson modules + quizzes. Midterm was MC+written. One group project and final at the end of the semester that aren't too bad. Beware a "guilty until proven innocent" warning about providing death certificates for deceased family members and verified doctor's notes for sickness LOL
