I took her class and there was too much to read. Other then that, she is pretty nice and helpful.

I really liked her. The class was interesting and she was really helpful. The theme was a little much, but I feel prepared for the rest of college.

she can make inappropriate and sometimes offensive remarks about sensitive topics, however, she will teach you many things,i learned lots of life skills as well, like how to deal with rude teachers that make rude comments(cardozo) lol overall, she is okay. if you are kind of senstitive dont take her class, cardozo is opinionated and kind of rude

This was a cool class. Prof was funny and helped her students. It was actually interesting even if you don't like english. class discussions were good too.

The first 2 weeks of class you'll think she's the rudest person ever, but stick it out and you'll realize she's actually pretty awesome. She's a cool teacher who makes you really learn how to write. She grades pretty hard, but she also gives you chances to rewrite papers to get a better grade. Take her if you can.

This chick is awesome! I was a little scared of her at first, but as the days went, she got more and more laid back and funny. The stuff you learn is really interesting. Its not just your average english class. Take her! You will not regret it.

She might scary you first weeks of class by telling "this class is very hard take another class". She is just kidding. Feminism and patriarchal masculinty are main subjects. She is easygoing and let you to write your paper as much as you want. I recommend to take her class. If you attent the class and show enough work, you will get good grade.

She is intimidating at first but definitely relaxes later in the term and becomes more fun. Plan to pay attention be prepared for class and work hard. This is not an easy class, but her expectations are clear and you gt a lot out of it. She helps you improve your critical thinking as well as your writing. Do the work you can get a good grade

She is tough, but she does teach it like you are at a four-year. Most of the readings are from her classes at UCSD, and they are still current. She also lets you rewrite papers to get a better grade as many times as you want. Interesting topics, but yes, feminism is there. Take her if you want to go to a university.

Cardozo is the best - if you have a chance to take her class, do it! Her assignments require a TON of reading, and they are tough, but she provides as much help as you need, and allows you to re-write all of your essays for a better grade. She never lets out early, and is a stickler about attendance. She is funny, and NOT boring.

Wow, she is the best professor ever. Before I took this class I didn't know how to write a college paper, now you can't stop me. Topic sentences, thesis statements, proper comma usage, it's all clear, now. I love English class now due to the fact that Cardozo made sense of things.

Best English Instructor by far that I've had. She let me re-write papers, giving me the opportunity to get an A in the class. If you go in open-minded and wanting to learn, you will benefit from her. She is not your typical JC Instructor. She's also into the "Cullens" saga.

Best ENGL teacher yet! Interesting topics, she's funny, younger, and hot! -thought she was a student. She puts on the b*tch act for a few weeks, but she's really great, and totally lets you redo papers, gives extra credit. Fantastic teacher, Don't pass her up! *If you're easily offended, her sarcasm and wit might bother you. TAKE THIS CLASS!

After taking her class your going to wonder why your previous teachers didn't explain the MLA essay format to you sooner, the way she does. She always has office hours on her own time. She is very dedicated and actually cares about her students. She makes the class fun and interesting. I never thought I would say that about an english class, ever!

She is a great professor! The work she assigns is a little tough..she makes you think. Definately do not miss a class or you will be clueless as to what is going on. But as long as you do the assignments and try you will do fine. She will let you rewrite a paper as many times as you need to get an A. Go to office hours!! It helps a ton!

She was so much help to me&she spends a lot of her free time with her students to help them.Great teacher who will teach you something until you truly feel you've learned it.She gives rewrites and has awesome ideas.Her entire class is based on films and Academic books.Never thought I'd be watching Superbad in an English class! AMAZING CLASS!

Cardozo is super great! Had tons of office hours and was really helpful. Lots of fun movie nights also. It's sad that others thought she was hard when she had so many office hours for students to get clarification on assignments. Also, let us resubmit papers for better grades. I love her!

Cardozo wants you to be scared in the beginning but turns into a huge softy at the end. You can re-write all your papers to get an A!! She says some stuff that maybe she shouldn't say because it can be rather offensive. She loves talking about SEX! Whether i was in a Gender Research class or english class I don't know, but it was fun!

Grossmont students are lucky - this feels like a UC level class being taught at the community college. The subject matter will force you to reevaluate some things in your life, and the papers are tough to write, but by the end, you will be a more confident writer. The discussions are always interesting. I looked forward to going every week.

Instructor Cardozo is an amazing person. She goes out of her way to help you with anything you are having trouble or questions on. She teaches at a UC level, with interesting topics for all of her essays. I highly recommend taking her class. OH, and BTW she's a total MILF ;) Your lucky if you get the opportunity I take her class

She owns the world - we just live in it! lol She was the best teacher I have had so far at Grossmont & I think everyone should take her! She it tough, but she lets you rewrite your papers until you get an A and holds lots of office hours, so there is no way that you won't benefit and become a more confident & better writer. You want to improve your writing academically? Then you probably should really consider taking her. She's an amazing professor! Cardozo is very bright & she's funny. I would not survive in a University if I had not taken this course with her. It's work, but this will pay off. Best English/writing class I have ever taken in my college life.

A good teacher overall, though she did seem somewhat unprepared. Her passion for feminism definitely permeates the class, regardless of what subject you're there for, but I actually quite liked that about her. She lets you rewrite papers until you get an A which I think is a fantastic and progressive attitude that more teachers should embrace.

Finally, a teacher that getâ??s â??IT.â?? She allows you to re-write your paper for a better grade. Heck,I didn't even know I could write as well as I have. She makes herself available and doesnâ??t belittle you in any way when asking for help.You canâ??t lose with her push-pull pointâ??s method you are guaranteed a â??Câ?? or better.

This was an amazing class! I can't believe someone actually complained about pizza (which Cardozo paid for) and movie night! Stupid. The movies were cool and related to the books, which were ok. She did change the syllabus, which was irritating, but at least she let us rewrite papers until we got a better grade. Cool class.

Mrs. Cardozo is an incredible teacher, very intelligent and nice! She keeps you interested with subject material that you can somewhat relate to. I'm finishing up this current semester with her and I'm hoping I can get in to a class with her next semester. Great teacher and person!

Patricia Cardozo is very helpful via e mail and office hours. Utilization of office hours is very important if you wish to do well in her class. She is great at making sure everyone understands the material. You don't need to buy the text book. Very helpful and makes you a stronger writer by breaking down the writing process.

Idk if 350 words could explain how great a teacher this person is!. Never in my life have i come across teachers that let you re-due your essays until you get an A. Mrs. Cardozo is probably one of the coolest teachers there is: she shows movies and provides pizza all of which she pays for. 3essays and a final 3vocab quizes Had a B+ and finished A.

I had her over a year ago and I wish all my teachers were like her. She's just the best ever. I learned a lot from and her and she made class fun. She not only teaches you how to right a good paper, but she also teaches you about life. Take her advice. She's really awesome.

Dont let me even start! This class if the class every student looks for. Fun, interesting and reasonable work. Cardozo respects her students and treats them with dignity. She is clear with her assignments and gives feed back quickly. Students are allowed to do corrections on paper. Oh yeah! Did I mention her class is fun?

Amazing teacher. Her prompts are clear and she tells you exactly what she wants in the essays. Essays are based on movies that are watched in class. Very inspirational and has a lot of knowledge. Offers a new way of thinking. Take her you wont regret it!

Made English class interesting. I usually do horrible in English classes but Cardozo somehow made me love english. I learned so much taking this class. If you want an easy A, do not take her. If you want to learn how to write an essay that will get you through writing all college essays in a timely manner, TAKE PROFESSOR CARDOZO!!

Best English teacher I've had , even after graduating from sdsu I still wonder what has happened her , she was a great one, lots of fun and interesting types of reading material.

Amazing teacher. I am writing this 10 years after begin in her class and I still think about how wonderful she was as a teacher. She encourages you to do your best and gives as many chances as you need to succeed. Its up to you how well you do. The reading materials she chooses are engaging and her lectures will make you think. Take her class.

I loooove Cardozo. She is an amazing teacher and all around person. She is very passionate and inspirational. Not very organized but not too bad. She holds multiple days to meet up for essay help and gives tons of extra credit. Would defiantly take another class with her.

350 Characters is not enough to describe the passion, drive, and motivation this Instructor has for her students. Her essay outlines are well explained. The reading material is challenging, but very interesting. I just got back into school after being gone 15 years, and SHE was amazing. I can only WISH that all my instructors are as good as her.

This is not an average class. she encourages discussion, intellectual discussions is topics that mater. Her focus in film theory makes the class more challenging but you end up learning a lot. She is also there to help you, she will meet with you to go over your essays and how to improve and explain the readings. reading is challenging tho.

Literally one of the best professor on campus, just be ready for real work. She expects a lot from you, but it is worth it. I learned a lot from her and would love to take her again if she offered an ENG124. Very straight forward and blunt. Big time feminist, but amazing at that as well. I admire her for her intelligence and bluntness.

CARDOZO IS AMAZING! I recommend her to everyone and anyone. She's very understanding and knows we ADULTS have outside lives. She loves her grossmont students and always gets back to you. VERY INTERESTING CLASS.

A great prof. I don't know why she's graded harshly. She was terrific! Super fun. Great movies. Yeah, she talks about women's issues. So what? I've had my fill of only talking about guys in college classes. She's amazing. Definitely take her.

Very interesting English class. I'm actually not bored by it!!! I think the topics really affect me and I'm glad we talk about them. the professor is easy to talk to as well. DO NOT take this class if you get butthurt easily and use the term sjw, lol. Take this class if you actually want to learn how to write better and get into ENG 120.

She's tough but definitely worth it, I really enjoyed her class. We had a lot of interesting conversations as a class. It was clear that she has a strong ideologies and is not afraid to voice them, nevertheless she was understanding. If she knows your name by the end of the course, you are golden!

Kind, smart and willing to help. If you are eager to learn about feminism, racial conflict and current world problems then you will love her. Don't take her if you are scared of women and scared of learning about real life. Taking her again for 120 because she is dedicated to being real and she knows how to communicate on what you need to work on.

I really enjoyed this class, it wasn't what I expected. The class discussions are great, well-guided by the professor, and she's hilarious. Following the essay templates is super important, if you stray from the template your grade will suffer. Attendance isn't mandatory, but there is a lot of value in the in class discussion and template review.

Excellent professor! Probably the best ever. Gave great feedback to students who submitted assignments on time. Interesting person, too.
