the worst teacher I have ever had! Hard grader, her exams are unclear, few pass her test, 10-15 page paper, long class but doesn't lecture she just read from the book,she allow people to speak what they think,which goes for half of the class time. What ever you do don't take her class!!
The biggest mistake I made is taking her class. confusing, hard, and boring. Not very helpful, she makes the course way complicated. you want to stay at state longer then take her class but if you want to pass with A B or C I would not take her!
Her teaching style will make you regret majoring or taking a class on PA. Difficult tests and boring lettures makes her class a rash on the a$$ to attend. If you never got a D or lower at SDSU and would like to experience unnecessary class and group discussiong take her class.

if you got a bad grade in this class you deserve to go back to high school... super nice and VERY easy professor. Go to class and keep the course outlines that she hands out at the begining of each session (questions from test are straight from them). I Highly suggest taking her.
Super cool teacher. Make sure to attend class as most material contexts for tests will be discussed and reviewed there. This is college so you do have to put some time to study. Her outlines, which she hands out each class, are basically the test. Study those and you'll do just dandy.
she is boring, but she is very nice and easy grader. She has a lot of real world experience and tries to bring that in the class, that is where she gets lost because she can't incorporated it to the textbook. You have 3 tests and 3 papers (1 research), easy A

she is a nice professor, but i hated her class, her lectures goes for ever because she allows so many students to comment on one subject which takes for eveeerrr!!! her voice is very low and she talks really fast!!
She was extremely approachable, accomodating, and knowledgeable.Three exams&three papers-one of which was min 10pgs.Exams do have short essay questions, about 5, so lots of writing req'd. She facilitates a discussion style atmosphere...but good luck if you get students who like to hear themselves speak,as this makes the lecture verry long & boring!
She is a wonderful teacher. Very friendly and knowledgable about what she teaches. Super easy class. If you dont get an A your'e an idiot. I would for sure recommend her to anyone.
This Professor is awesome! She really cares about her students and their grades. Everything you need to know for the tests she tells you. There are no surprises with her! I didn't even buy the book. As long as you go to class and write the papers, you will get an A. 2 tests,2 papers, and 1 final. Class material/subject are a little dry.
2 midterms. 1 comprehensive final. 2 essays. Not bad overall. She hands out study guides and has clear expectations. Doesn't take roll and usually lets class out early. I would recommend her.

really nice woman....no need to buy the book, she hands out power points daily and you can fill in notes as she goes. Three tests...pretty easy because you get study guide prior, one ten page paper that i did the night before and still got B on. She is easy....TAKE HER!!!
Professor Frosio tries so hard to make this class interesting, even though most people think it's boring. She hands out a guide everyday and gives you the answers throughout the class; the tests are based DIRECTLY off of these guides, except for a few book questions. She also requires 2 papers which are pretty easy-get them done early though.
Great teacher! She cares about your learning the material. Discussions are relevant to today with current events discussed at every lecture. Allows lots of student input. Midterm and Final, and two papers - if you go to class - easy to get an A. Tests are straight from lectures. Great class.
Love this professor. Very intelligent and chill. GO TO OFFICE HOURS, she is very nice and helpful. 1Midterm, 1Final, 2 papers, and like 14 online BB weekly assignments. She is very easy, its a hybrid course so some online, some in class. I got perfect scores on both papers which do count, so Office hrs. help big time. NO TEXTBOOK! GL! :)
I took the online course for the summer, she is very clear on the assignments and gives you feedback on how u did. She is very smart and knows what she is talking about. Helped motivate me more to do my assignments better. She helps alot if you ask for her feedback on anything. You have to go to a city counsil meeting, but its not that hard.
I took this class over the summer. She is a wonderful professor. I learned so much in her class. She breaks things down in a great way and provides excellent feedback. She was very helpful and has a genuine concern for her students. She was also great at getting back to emails. Overall great class, I learned a lot and got an A.

Professor Frosio is very helpful, and clear on the subject. She is not a hard grader and always is attentive to students concerns. She makes detail comments on the essays, and responds almost immediately to emails, overall an excellent professor. Take her!
Such a nice lady! Easy class. There were three assingments and two tests throughout the semester. She even offers to review your papers for corrections and to make suggestions before you turn it in.
She is one of the nicest and best professors at SDSU. She is very direct with her lectures, the exams are based on the lectures only. Very helpful when needing a clarification. The government meeting assignment takes some time to complete, so plan ahead and take good notes while there.
Take her class!! very easy to learn and the lectures are really clear. She really takes the time to explain the topics thoroughly. Weekly assignments not difficult and two exams are easy if you keep up with the class. The government analysis is clear just plan ahead.
Prof Frosio is very clear about the assignments and what she expects of them. If you listen to the lectures and submit the assignments you should get an A. Great professor very dedicated to teaching and students.
Terrible Professor. Various times I went into her office and felt degraded. She is very mean and unprofessional when she constantly reminds us to act professional. She has rolled her eyes at me and claimed I was trying to get around the rules of the class when she told me I could finish my hours in the sumer.
Took her internship class. DO WHAT SHE ASKS. I have had no problems with her because I follow instructions, do the assignments, and turn them in on time. Take her internship course seriously. She is very helpful, responds to emails quickly and always gives feedback on assignments. I recommend taking her course.
Professor Frosio was very engaging and passionate about the course. She brings in guest speakers who were very interesting. The course material is all covered in her lecture and posts PowerPoints online too. 3 tests and 3 writing assignments, very clear cut and as long as you follow instructions, attend, and study your notes you will get an A!
By far the most unhelpful, rude and degrading Professor I've come across. The internship course itself would have been fine but Frosio completely ruined the program. Went into office hours twice and the first time I was told that the career path I was interested in was 'unrealistic' and to'look into something easier' for me. Eye rollingattitude+++
Teacher is unprofessional, treats you like a child. Says she will help but helps putting you down instead. Sometimes contradicts herself on directions. This teacher needs to keep her personal opinion about students out of paper feedbacks. Be warn! Take another professor!
So there's two sides to her. The first one is that her actual classes she teaches are easy 'A's and you should have no problem with them. The other side is her internship class....I and handfuls of other students seem to follow all of her nitty-gritty details and still manage to get verbally harassed by her on a multitude of levels.
Internship is no brainer for the Practi req. Plenty of organizationsagencies to lots of networking opportunities. Work wise theres like 5 journals where you update her with how you're doing and like 3 papers about how to be a better professional. Possibly get a job after graduation & gain experience is better than thesis paper or prison tour.
Her knowledge and experience in the concepts learned in class help with making the material seem very relatable in the working field. Posts PowerPoints, but may have info or slides missing that you can only get by attending class. Also in-class exercises that she'll bring up on tests. 3 MCshort essay tests (not cumulative) and 3 papers (not hard)
How rude, snippy, unnecessarily catty, can a middle-aged woman be? Whatever you're thinking, this awful woman is much, much worse. I met with her specifically so she could learn enough about me to write a letter of rec, and when I needed the letter she wrote me a nasty email about how I need to ask someone else. The most unhelpful woman at State.
Bad: One of the worst professors I've had at SDSU. She's really condescending and her instructions for assignments are vague . She's says dumb stuff like "ok effort" when you actually put in a great deal of effort in all your assignments. I dreaded getting any assignments back from her. She pretends to care about her students and their aspirations. She threatened to write on my academic record, and did for her personal file on me. Her emails to me were unbecoming of a professor. Be weary of her Internship course, I had to drop because of how rude she was to me.
Very rude professor, who constatly reminds us to be profesional. Just a sad professor who takes this internship program wayyyyyy to seriously. Just to remind you these are UNPAID! internships, these are not jobs, and you are not getting paid. Students need to stand up and tell it like it is. We are allready broke college students. Write the 20 page paper for your practicum. Don't deal with frosio's harassing nature. She be littles you and tells you that you are not good enough to VOLUNTEER your time, for FREE!!! Delusional for sure. Do your self a favor, write the paper and get it over with, not worth the 192 hour headache.
Took internship class twice. This class is NOT meant for lazy, irresponsible "adults" that feel that THEY are doing these agencies a favor by "working 4 free" This is a legit opp to gain work experience, letters of recommendation, references and possibly a job offer. But hey, take the easy route for your practicum, leaves more job opps 4 us ADULTS.
Internship class was the best experience of my life! I wish I could take it over and over again. Is it easy? NO. Is it worth the hard work and effort? YES! Follow instructions, be professional, and work HARD! Don't make the commitment and then slack. Trust me, all the hard work is for our own benefit and growth. Excellent professor and program.
I had a good experience with the internship class It does require 3 papers and 5 journal entries throughout the semester as well as 3 class meetings and 2 meetings with her Make sure you have time to commit weekly hours to the internship. Make a fixed schedule for it as if it were a paid job. At least that's what worked for me. I had no probs w her
Treats an internship as if its a paid job. It is not a paid job and treating it as such is a violation of federal labor law. Students are too naive to understand that they are getting illegally exploited. There are strict guidelines for labor law internships. Look it up. Also you don't need an internship to get hired as a cop, just go apply.
Not quite sure how Ms. Forsio is still an employee with the Cal State University System. She is the polar opposite of how a college advisor/instructor should be. Completely rude, condescending, and focused on putting down students efforts because they aren't "extraordinary enough."
She enjoys putting down and attempting to condescend every student. She is the exact opposite of what SDSU needs. She is never there for students and gives you the worst feedback. I put maximum effort into the class and received little to no effort from her. The school would be a much better place without her. She does not help out this department.
She is incredibly unprofessional. I emailed her regarding a question about internships and she told me she was not a consultant and that everything I should know was in the mass email she sends out. She is NOT helpful. The CJ department would be better off without her. Makes the whole department look very bad and unprofessional and extremely rude.
You would think with a major like Criminal Justice, my peers would understand the exploitation and duress Professor Frosio administers to students in this internship course. If more students stood up to the illegal and harassing practices preformed under her instruction, she would no longer be at SDSU. Stand up Aztecs, and Fight!
Very nice in her lower classes, and even until you sign the paperwork for 498 in CJ or PA. Then she flips a switch to be completely untrusting, she assumes the worst of her highly-qualified students, and generally bullies and attacks them at every angle possible. The short time spent with her was my worst experience in higher education. Avoid.
WORST PROFESSOR/GUIDANCE COUNSELOR EVER!!!! Frozio is so full of her self that she puts down all her students to the lowest level possible. She tells everyone she is a "very nice lady" but she is bat crazy! AVOID HER AT ALL COSTS!!!!
Most manipulative person I have ever met. My first impression of her was that she seemed really nice and I was excited to work with her. This was not the case. She takes every chance she has to get into arguments with students and to show them they are wrong. I took advantage of her office hours and she basically told me that I'm worthless. AVOID
Wow! Such a disappointing professor. When you ask her a question, she makes you feel as though you are wrong and stupid. Aren't you a professor? SHouldn't you teach your students and help them rather than put them down and make them lose their confidence. Stay away from this professor if you can, not even sure why shes teaching so many classes!!
I took Frosio in my lower div classes&wanted to take the intern course. I was excited&driven, yet she crushed my soul after my 6pm interview, it went well & I was 'hired', yet she said she berated me bc I didn't email her immediately after (I did the next day). She then told me I was unappreciative&ungrateful. I decided not to take PA498 bc of her.
To get feedback from professors are great. However, Frosio may be too critical and she tries to sell/push too hard to take her internship course - a COMPLETE turn off. Besides this, the class content is very useful and a bit dry. There are 2 Papers - requires normal amount of effort; 2 Mid terms - study guides provided (helpful) & 1 Final.
People hate on Prof Frosio, but if you work hard and follow her rules (basically dont be dumb) you get so much out of the internship. I was scared to take the course due to reviews but so glad I did. I have a great relationship with her and that internship got me a huge opportunity. Take the class. So important for your future.
She holds students to high standards & expects students to take their internships seriously and professionally. Her instructions are very clear, & she will be direct when you don't follow them (its really not hard). If you work hard & are respectful then you're fine. The course work is easy. Take advantage of the provided internship opportunity.
Decided to take the internship course for the summer. Hard to get placed. Frosio makes you think that her students are the only ones that can get the postions, she is wrong. She holds her students to high standards, but does not reflect those standards herself. Do yourself a favor and take the equivalent class that isn't hers.
I'm taking Professor Frosio for the Honors class we are required to take in our last semester and she is truly one of the most amazing instructors I've ever had. She is encouraging, understanding and so interested in our thoughts and experiences. DEFINITELY take Hon 495 with her - she is the best!
The class is dry. The concepts aren't difficult and neither are the assignments. Her lectures are average, she basically reads off the slides. She likes to tell stories about former students but she comes off as catty, petty and condescending rather than a good mentor. If you can avoid her, do so. I stopped attending halfway, I was so over her.
People on her make her out to be some dragon lady and I can't understand why. Yes the course material can be a bit dry but she makes it very interesting and includes lots of discussions. Taken this professor for 4 classes now and received an A in all of them. Frosio is very nice and passionate about the classes. If you want to pass,study a little and you will. Easy exams, answers are straight from the study guides. Which she reviews the class before. A few easy papers. Lots of feedback. Lots of office hours. She gets to know you.
Most responsive, helpful teacher I have taken online (which is the majority of the classes I have taken at CC and State). Many teachers are completely unresponsive but she gets back with you right away, despite the fact she has hundreds of students asking questions. Very clear on what is on the tests and what is expected in papers. Great teacher.
Frosios classes are what the real life depiction of passing a kidney stone would be. She will read everyone of your sentences in your papers and grade you strictly. Shes blunt and will have no problem being rude, something you dont expect from a professor. If you have to take this im sorry, but if you have the choice of electives stay clear!
She gives herself too much credit for who she really is. When given feedback she makes you feel like you're an unworthy human being. Emphasizes the idea that she and others don't have time for mediocrity when she herself is mediocre. Definitely needs a reality check because she does not have her feet on the ground and likes looking down at people.
Frosio is not a great professor, she frequenlty puts down her students and attempts to make the students feel stupid. Taking her internship class, I was very excited to start. However,Frosio constantly made the internship unenjoyable this semester. On top of this she told me she controls my internship and that she determines what happens. Good Luck
She is very passionate about her field! She offers a ton of office hours and her door is always open. She responds to emails very quickly and is always willing to help. She posts lecture slides and always does test reviews before exams. Overall good teacher.
Her online class is OK. Didn't need the book. Frosio is overly-critical in grading papers, especially since this is an introductory course. Lectures are low-quality. She took a month and a half to grade our first paper. Always trying to sell us on her other classes. Annoying! She can be very rude and disrespectful of others' time. Try to avoid her
this so called "professional" has managed to insult me AND insult my parents (who she has never met). she is the only reason i am considering transferring from this school. i have spoken to the dean and talked to countless of people. the evidence is here. no student likes her. and for good reason.
There are four class meetings in total during the semester, 2 classes are workshops the other 2 you go up and talk about your internship for 2-3 minutes. There are a few journal entries and 2 papers due. Easy course to take, but take the internship serious as if it was a real job and you'll be fine. Log into BB class often! she checks if you dont!
The class itself was not hard, but Professor Frosio made the class more challenging that it had to be. She was over critical in grading papers and procrastinated in grading them. The responses that she put in our papers were rude and way too judgemental. I ended up having a distaste in Political Administration because of this professor.
This class is not for criminal justice majors. She is very rude. The midterm is made of multiple choice questions and three essay questions the same for the final. She gives rude comments on the essay questions such as are you paying attention in class. She thinks very highly of herself and probably doesnt remember the struggleof being in college.
She was a good professor. She gives you back a lot of feedback on your papers, sometimes she made assumptions in her comments about where I got my information from which was irritating but even with her long form of feedback she still graded lightly, so don't get discouraged. She grades very fair and easy. For the exams listen to her lecture.
Great teacher. She will make you work for your grade though. If you want an easy A this is not the class for you. I you want to earn your A, then select this class. Tough grader, but provides great feedback and is always available to support her students.

She is an atrocious teacher and human being. She demands every student to be "exceptional" while she simultaneously disrespects and belittles them. There are countless students who's life have been negatively by her in a major way, just read the other reviews. If you don't get your internship waived, do not major in PA at SDSU for grad school
I was kind of hesitant to take her class because of all the negative comments but I'm glad I didn't listen to them! Prof. Frosio is super sweet and very caring. If you don't understand a topic she will explain it to you. She always came into class with a smile on her face and was passionate about what she was teaching. Take her! Just try!
PLEASE GET TO KNOW HER! Whether you are interested in CJ or PA, Professor Frosio will help you advance your college experience as well as what comes after. I had her for PA310, PA312, PA498 courses. She brings in guest speakers that help you network, lectures are straight forward, and her INTERNSHIP course gave me an unforgettable experience.
STAY AWAY from this Professor she takes a month to grade papers which leaves you unable to know where your grade stands in the class. Her study guides and lectures DO NOT reflect what is on her quizzes. She makes this class difficult because of the quizzes. Her assignments are not hard, but the quizzes are something else. RUN AND DON'T LOOK BACK!

Professor Frosio was amazing. I took her class in spring 2020. 3 short papers, 3 online quizzes and one final exam. No group project.
Prof Frosio is very knowledgeable but not a great professor. She completely disappeared for three weeks and did not provide us with lectures or the discussion that was scheduled for that week. She still assigned us the exam. Not harsh grader but still makes you work for it. She will never answer your emails.
Took online class during covid. Relatively easy A. Tests straight forward. Easy assignments. Great choice for PA 301. Passionate about job.
Very knowledgeable about the course. Gives out 5 memo assignments, no quizzes/tests. Does not require a textbook. Takes forever to grade!! Does not give feedback before the next assignment is due.
Beware before taking this class with this professor. She does not explain how to do the assignments, you have to figure it on your own. Shell take months to grade and you wont even know your grade before the second assignment is due.
Horrible experience. Thought this class would be a good idea to get ahead in summer and for my resume, but I was wrong. Frosio berates & belittles your character despite not knowing you at all. She looks down on your efforts and rolls her eyes while you're speaking as if you're stupid. Thought teachers were supposed to help, not harm. I guess not.
My rating for Professor Frosio is that you pretty much choose your grade. Be lazy and you'll get the worse grade that you chose to get otherwise if you give your all she will definitely be there for you. Show some effort and you'll get the best from her. I mean I did it, full-time worker, full-time mom and full-time student.
For a professor that expects professionalism from her students and often she doesnt feel the need to be held to the same standard. For example she uploads modules super late and literally around 2 days to complete an entire module full with lectures and extra videos to watch on top of the textbook. She is also very passive aggressive. She sucks!!!
The worst professor I've ever had. Sure this class is an easy A, but she's the most difficult person ever. She uploads modules and assignments late, doesn't respond to student emails, cancels office hours, and is so rude. This professor is unusual in the sense that she will either be your best friend or your worst nightmare. I took her internship class twice and I credit her for getting my first career job. Be on her good side for sure. Additionally, her lecture classes are very difficult because her test questions are so specific. Only class I got a B, not an A.
my understanding she's a busy person and that reflects upon her grading. takes months to get something graded and by the time you do and get her feedback it's already to late to apply it to other work because you've already done all assignments since. Comes off as condescending/passive aggressive. Grade book is the most frustrating. manageable
I don't understand the dislike for Prof Frosio. She is always professional and kind. She will work with you if you need help on a topic or give you additional time on a project as long as you ask. She has a lot on her plate and may take more time than some like to get a paper graded but she definitely isn't the worst professor for late grading here
Worst professor I've had. I attended two universities and never failed a course, including this one, so this review is not biased due to a failing grade. Her lectures are not helpful for exams, exams have trick questions, and she is a tough grader considering how unclear her instructions are. 350 characters is not enough to share how bad she is.
The lectures are straight forward and the homework/quiz's/tests are all based on her lectures which makes everything super simple. Easy class, with a professor who gives you plenty of time to complete everything. Only thing is, the Professor is known to either reply late to messages/emails. Besides that, highly recommended.
The assignments are straight forward and all the material is relevant to the course. The Professor gives great life examples, and the class was fun and interesting to take for those in the PA field. Highly recommend this class!
The course is not difficult. The professor is. She grades you based on how much she likes you, not based on her own grading criteria. She doesn't like questions or discussion. She thinks that she a god to her class and constantly disrespects her students. Several students that take her each semester have this opinion.
This professor is okay online. She takes forever to grade things. She went two weeks without posting in modules and not informing the class why. Within those two weeks I emailed her multiple times and never got a response. Sometimes she doesn't post the modules all at once so when you go back and check there will be more info. Average material wise

Stay away. Do not take this class. I got an A and I would never do this again. Just took my final and only 2/8 assignments she gave us are graded. How do you take a final not knowing anything remotely close to your grade. Emailed dozens of times, no response. Had to get Dean involved and she still didn't care. It was absurd. Worst class ever

Do not take unless she is the only option. Work is doable but you need to study for exams. Study guides did not help. She will not respond to emails and never showed up to her own office hours. Very tough grader and takes away points if she doesn't like your opinion. Quizzes were difficult. She won't round your grade up, even at 0.02 away.
Great professor, this is the second time I took one of her classes. 6 assignments in total, she does not ask for anything that cannot be found in the websites listed in her lectures. Highly recommend attending her office hours for feedback. She will tell you exactly what you need to do and how to get an A on any assignment.

I had 2 internships with her at public works in SD, ppl were nice, but I had nothing to do, it was boring & a waste of time. When I told her that there wasn't enough work to do she blamed me instead of admitting that her internships aren't that great.
