She's really not that bad, at least not for drugs and society. It's an easy B if you go to class and take notes. Try not to get frustrated with her fast pace, and you'll be fine.

Dr. Geppert is one of the best professors at UTSA. She is very thorough in presenting her lectures. She is very knowledgable on the subject. You MUST come to class to make an A. If you don't like that, go work at McDonalds. She's also kinda cute :)

This class is awesome. Her tests are straight from her notes. You don't even need the book so don't waste your money and buy it. She also gives extra credit quizzes that are straight from the notes as well. I would take her again if I could.

Like mentioned before, you don't need the book. Everything is on the notes (and the notes are pretty long, so study a little bit everyday!) and she gives extra credit every so often to help boot your grade. Juts make sure you highlight the key points and ask her a few questions and you'll do fine.

she was an ok prof. she is talkative but makes a note of letting you know whether or not you'll need to know the info on exams. the study guide& questions at the end of chapters help for exams. she actually cares about students earning grades and helps if you need it inside and outside of class. she gives good notes.

easy class if you take notes and study them, ask a question and she explains, always willing to help out, interesting lectures, lively speaker, sometimes repetitive but the material does overlap itself anyways in some cases. Actually learned something too, and best of all I REMEMBERED IT AFTER CLASS!!

She gives extra credit quizes before every exam to where you can earn up to 10 points on each and 15 extra points on the final! Its alot of material but her lectures are very organized and clear. The best bio teacher by far! Take this class!

Very nice woman. She gives quizes which count strictly as extra credit. She also lets you drop one of your test scores (excluding the final). When it comes to science I'm really clueless and I still got a B in her class. Go to the SI sessions and take notes. Make sure you study for the final because it counts as 50% of your grade.

Dr. Geppert was always late to class even the day of our final haha.The class is fairly easy, just study the (powerpoint) notes 2days b4 the test and your good to go...plus she has extra credit quizes that only help you, not hurt you! Boring class but you become interested in the material as u study the notes. I easily got an A! Take her!

Shes a really good teacher, gives out extra credit quizzes, no hw, and gives tests from her notes. She doesnt keep attendence nor does she not posts up lecture notes so u have to come to class for the notes. this is a class where u have to actually study and read the book, and not study a day before the test.

This teacher was great. she wants you to understand and will go over things in class as many times as she thinks it will take for it to stick in your head. She is very fair and very easy. It's a Biology class so you can't expect things to be spoon fed to you. I'm re-taking this class because I had a horrible professor last time, and I have a very high A in this class and I only study two nights before the test. The whole test is from her lecture notes so it's important to go to class. Fairly easy

You have to keep up with the notes and she offers extra credit quizzes with 5 exams then the final. She does not drop anything. So you earn what you deserve.

You go to class to mainly get the notes because she does not post them online. All of her tests come from her notes and her quizzes are all extra credit. If you dont study there is a chance you not might not make it but study hard and its not a difficult A to obtain. Very intelligent and she knows what she is talking about.

This professor is great. She wants to make sure that every student understands what she is saying and will repeat herself if necessary. The cousre is somewhat challenging but all of her tests are straight from her notes so there are no surprises. I highly recommend her.

All I can say is study the notes, even though its almost 20 pages for every test.It may seem like she is just having a biology party and only invited herself,but slow her down if you dont undertand and she will recover the info. Not a bad prof, just wouldn't recommend you take the 8am class if you're not a morning person. There are a lot of notes and that early in the morn, it's easy to space out or doze off, making you miss something. She had lectures online until people stopped coming to class. Ignore about the easy part!! BIO is Bio, so theres no way it can get easier... very good professor and very helpful. However, she gives notes like crazy (20pgs) her test are very hard except for the final. Overall,study your notes VERY well if you want to pass. Im no slacker, I got an A for Bio 2, but througout the semester you wont have a life.

She do all she can to help you understand the material. No need to buy the book, her notes come directly from the slides. Will help you as long as it takes for you to understand. OUTSTANDING teacher. She now post outlines of her lectures so that you just have to fill in the blanks, but there are a lot of notes. I recommend her to anybody anyday

very hard class biosciences 1 its tough u gotta work hard for your grade but she is fair if you work hard the grade is possible dont bother taking this class if you dont want to put the effort.

CAP STUDENTS: Her homework assignments are easy, but her tests are somewhat challenging. If you must take a science, take her. She is very helpful about due dates, etc.

Gives in class "quizzes" for extra credit via iClicker. Very interesting during lecture. I hardly ever fell asleep...and I do a lot in lecture. Very helpful outside of class. This is a class you have to put time and effort into if you want a decent grade. Final was easy though, half of it were old questions on previous test.

Really enjoyed her for genetics. Her tests weren't easy, but most ppl who read did well. She's a really good teacher, explains material clearly, and gives practice tests before the test, which help ALOT. def recommend taking her. I made an A but i must say its not an easy A, but not impossible to make an A either.

TAKE HER of bio of aging. i cant speak for any other class but as long as you are there you can make an A. Multiple choise Test questions are from hw quiz, i clickers and pp notes. Reviews are great and exaclly what wil be on test for short answer section. cant go wrong

This was the first time Geppert taught Bio of Aging. Class is based off of powerpoints, which she puts online (ie class is optional). She gives extra credit from i clicker questions and she will replace one exam if the final exam grade scores higher. Overall, class is somewhat difficult but an A is attainable

Great professor. Study the powerpoints, past quizzes, and go to office hours for clarity. She will help you. Gives iClicker for extra credit. Class is very interesting. I got an A. Put in your time and you will get one too. Book is worthless. Study past quizzes.

Prof. Geppert really knows the subject and is enthusiatic about it. Attendance is mandatory though. iClickers are used and do help your grade. If you miss class you miss alot. She has practice exams and you can print the power points. Not very easy but she's a good prof! Take her!

Dr. Geppert is a very nice woman. I took her for BIO I and BIO II. But having a very limited background in BIO the class was hard for me. She does give a curve I think, and she made the 2nd final very accessible. I would take her again if I needed to. Good professor overall. She used to have blond hair but dyed it, blond better. Ms.Geppert, is a sweet lady. Her class can be a bit challenging though in that there is homework (which is simple) and you must attend class cause of the iclickers. Her lectures are pretty clear and her tests are not that difficult if you study. If you do not, then you are screwed. I got my A.

I took it as Honors. Boring class, but an easy A. Professor Geppert is a nice lady, but she doesn't really seem to known her subject very well.

I enjoyed her Genetics class very much. She talked through power points with examples. The examples were so good that studying for the tests is minimal each time. Gives plenty of opportunities to increase your grade, and adjusts the schedule to accommodate the knowledge of the class.
